Rangi'ukungu looked back at his companion, grimacing. She didn't look so well. The sun was hot, but not too hot in the valley. His companion's eyes were glazed, breath labored, steps a bit unsteady. They would need to rest. "We are almost there. Perhaps we can find a healer or cleric or whatever they're called here," he murmured, pausing for her to catch up. He would have to walk side by side with her to ensure she didn't fall.
Sinowo Chinkokomo, as named by the male canine she was currently following, felt miserable. The sky beat down on her in a heat that she had never experienced. The ground was gritty and tough, nothing like the mush and frozen ice she was used to. And the foliage... she felt she could hardly breath. The word pollen floated in her head. Perhaps that was also the cause? She felt feverish, muscles aching and ready to buckle. Sino couldn't remember if she had ever been sick like this. But then.... she really couldn't remember much. Nodding faintly, she swallowed heavily and continued to put on foot in front of the other.
