Vikraahm slowly awoke in darkness, his internal alarm going off in his head despite the darkness present in his shared room. His eyes would slowly open and gaze up into almost complete darkness, save for a small dim source of light off to his right. The dim source of light was all the curtains currently allowed into the dark room at present. He tried to move his arms, but felt a minor pain and soreness in each, remembering the events of the day prior. His tumble, and the other roll caused by the other who could seemingly create explosions at random, had left them particularly sore and cut. Testing his legs he would feel a now familiar and similar feeling in them as well. Though his injuries were nothing major, as told to him by the medicine man, it didn't mean they would not hinder him slightly. Still, it would be no good to stay laying in bed all day and not attending his class. It wasn't even close enough to keep him in more than a minute over normal, his mind telling himself it was nothing and to merely deal with it.

Vikraahm rose from his rather comfortable bed, and went about his morning routine, consisting of feeding Shinshi who had come through for him the day prior, going through very light training exercises to make sure his body could heal a bit while not slacking, and then cleaning himself. He looked to his meager set of clothing, having not brought too many changes of clothing since he came to this land. All that he owned was native to his village, and he had not added anything else to that ever since. Not that he minded, he was perfectly comfortable with wearing what he had. However he had received a notice to a gala, a social gathering it seemed from what he had read and lightly asked about. Though he had no real interest in interacting with anyone, he had decided the night prior he would attend on the sole basis of trying to understand the social norms of the people here. 'That and the man who tried to steal from me may be there.' He would darkly think to himself, not sure on what he would do. What the man had done was smart and clever, if dishonorable for something as simple as a friendly competition. Had it been a matter of survival he would have understood as he may have done the same then, but not for something like this. Even if he chose not to interact with him, perhaps if he attended he could indirectly learn about him and his weaknesses. Still, that was only if he showed up, and that'd be little reason to attend alone. He would be here quite a while, so it made sense in his mind to at least attempt to learn a bit so he could know for the future. The odds of it changing how he currently acted were nonexistent, but it would mean he could potentially understand more about the intentions of others by observing.

With that thought in mind, he quickly searched through his limited wardrobe and found what he had desired. Unlike the other outfits, which were very much similar to one another and merely slightly different versions, this one stood out. It was a Shalwar Kameez, a robe like piece of clothing that was far from suitable for survival or combat like the rest of his clothing. He only ever wore it for important occasions, which in this land this gala seemed to be one of them. He carefully set it out on his bed, also picking out the matching pair of sandals that went with it but setting it at the foot of the bed. He would wear it later when he was actually going to go to the Gala, but he wanted to have it set out already so it would be a quick change. That being done, he chose one of his regular outfits at random and changed into it, going a bit slower than normal not to rub against the bandages wrapping over the wounds. Though it was better to let it air out, he kept it covered during the night so it wouldn't be irritated. He had also waited till his clothes were on first to remove them for a similar reason. He did so slowly, taking care to preserve the bandage as much as possible in case he were to reuse them. Once that was done, bandages set aside in a neat pile, he would gather his gear and Shinshi before heading out to class.

Vikraahm would arrive at his dorm not too long after his departure from botany, the halls being a bit clearer than normal, probably due to everyone preparing for the Gala that he was to attend. He would hopefully be able to use this brief reprieve from the crowded academy halls to speed his trip to the Gala itself. He preferred to be early, if he was not able to be exactly on time, and as such he tried to prepare earlier as much as he could. He would arrive at his dorm, entering the room and closing it behind him before glancing about the room. Everything seemed to be as he had left it, his clothes still on his bed and his roommate was not to be seen. Seeing as he had the room entirely to himself, he saw no need for hesitation. He would gently pick up Shinshi and place him in his over-sized bed area, moving away afterwards to his window, opening quickly to get a few meals for him and leaving it on his little area. He did so as he did not know when he would return from the Gala, and wanted to ensure he had enough food. He hoped he would not overeat, but he had little choice in the matter for now. With that being done, Vikraahm would immediately discard almost all the clothing he was wearing, save an undergarment. He would neatly fold them in a pile and set them off the side for him to clean later. His gaze would return to his formal clothing. He had not worn them in over a year, being the last time he had attended one of his own village’s festivities, as it was also the time he had acquired it. It was believed that each year of the festivities, a person should always get a new Shalwar Kameez to signify the change, at least in his village as he was unsure how others thought of it if they even did the same celebration. As such, the formal wear was in great condition and still seemed just as new as when he had first acquired it.

He would gingerly raise the cloth, feeling the smooth texture and softness of it. It was not an effective form of protection, and would leave him vulnerable. ‘But a show of confidence.’ He would think to himself. Anyone daring enough to wear such weak and non protective clothing should be strong enough to survive the dangers present; at least that’s how it was viewed in his home. He did not know if the same applied here, as many people commonly wore non protective clothing. The Shalwar Kameez was composed of two parts, a very long and loose shirt with a pair of baggy and long pants. They both were a blue with a gold trim design to them, the colors matching one another rather than being different as some people in his village used. He preferred the simplicity of a uniform color, as it could make it harder to distinguish individual body regions from a distance. He would slip his hand into the inside of the shirt, grabbing the bottom part and then moving his hand forward till it reached the collar, bending the shirt so it would be easy to put on. He would slip his head through the appropriate hole, before slipping his arms into the sleeves. With that done, he would pull the bottom part of the shirt down, extending halfway down to his thighs before it was fully extended. He would then pick up the baggy pants, and put them on one leg at a time, holding the waist with one hand and pulling hard on the strings that acted as a belt. Once he was satisfied that it was on as tight as it could be, he would tie it up so it would not come loose. Thankfully, he had adjusted the size of it the last time he had used it, and it rested at his ankles rather than encumber his movement.

There were only two items left that he would need, as he looked down to the golden sandals that went with the outfits, quickly placing it on and then his gaze traveled to his gear. His gaze focused on the scimitar given to him for his passing into adulthood, as he recalled all the festivities he had been part of. For all the males of appropriate age, many had the scimitars hanging openly on the right side of their hips, strapped to their clothing. He was about the age where it was accepted, but he had never done so before. He would dig about in his gear, searching for a few minutes before finally finding what he needed. It was a simple scabbard with a belt, meant for ease of reach for drawing should it be needed. It took him some adjusting, but he managed to get it well attached to the outfit he was wearing. He looked to his turban, having taken it off earlier just to put on the robe. Of that, he was unsure if he should wear it or not, as he had seen both from the elders and those of his age. He thought it over, knowing it was something he always wore whenever possible, and as such leaned towards that. He would go over to it and pick it up, quickly placing it back onto his head where it belonged and looked about the room. He did not believe he was forgetting anything, but he wanted to double check. His eyes found nothing of interest, but they lingered on his mothers gourd. He wondered what she would think of him now, no longer in his home village and about to attend an event with people of this strange land. His father would be displeased, to say the least, but her he was unsure. He wished he had been able to get to know her, but that time was long past, and best moved on from. He would turn to face the door and begin to leave the room, speaking to Shinshi in a stern voice. “Do not leave the room or invite any others.” With that said, he would open the door and exit, closing it behind him, striding confidently to the Gala.

Vikraahm would arrive late in the evening given his caring for the greenhouse, thoroughly tired from all the garden work he had done. With Shinshi stirring in his scarf given he preferred to be active in the night, Vikraahm would open and close the door to his dorm. He had no classes for tomorrow he would think to himself as he would gently place Shinshi in his area and he himself lay down in bed. 'Meaning I can sleep in...and perhaps explore more of this place.' He silently thought to himself with a tired smile before he would close his eyes and drift off to sleep.

Vikraahm would wake up with the sun already out, having slept in more so than usual due to the activities he did the day prior. He was used to waking up just before dawns first rays and starting his day like that. With a yawn and a stretch, he would rise from his bed and perform his usual routine. He would feed Shinshi, train his body and mind, and finally clean himself before changing clothes. It may be a monotonous routine, but to him it helped keep all aspects of him in shape as well as complete the bare necessities needed to be completed before he left the dorm. If he left it. It was a free day, so he could chose to spend it however he wanted. Full clothed with his usual gear on his bed, he would ponder what to do. He could continue to train in the public training area, perhaps find some deserted area to enjoy nature or even just explore the place in general. He had been here for some time, but he still had yet to see everything. As he thought of it, he felt a pang of hunger. His thoughts immediately switched to what he would be eating today for breakfast. Though he was fine and used to going to the usual place, he recalled a bakery being mentioned as he had traveled the halls. It seemed to be of good reputation, and he had yet to try any of it. Resolving that to be his task for now, he would strap his gourd to his back along with his weapon and shield should anything arise. He would then grab Shinshi and tuck him under his scarf, wanting the little scorpion to be outside rather than stuck in doors. He would leave his dorm and head directly to where he heard the bakery was.

[Enter Eko from the Academy Courtyard]

Eko enters his dorm, closing his eyes briefly. The area was familiar, so he didn't panic. He sat on his bed, staring out the window, looking out to the forest.

If not for his Raiment and the disappearances, he would spend most of his time in the forest. The forest near his home was familiar and comforting, he would've been able to make his way to the stream with his eyes closed.

His parents, thankfully, never found out that the random disappearances of food were his fault, he fed them to the animals. Animals were his only friends for a while. They didn't judge him or hurt him, unless he hurt them.

It was late afternoon, so Eko decided not to go anywhere today. He laid back on his bed, slowly drifting off to sleep.

Eko awoke this morning to light rain outside, though he welcomed it, walking across the room and opening the window. A humid breeze entered the room, though he didn't mind it much. A new day at the Academy. There were sure to be plenty of new first years arriving, and he wondered what new students would join his Enhancer class, and if there would be a new teacher or if Myrddin would ever return.

Ivar, his only friend, he realized, would've graduated while he was gone. Eko felt slightly guilty for not making contact with him, as he had been a huge help with his Raiment.

The boy grabbed his bag, grabbing a small fluff ball. Well, actually, it was a bird. Coco, a small bird he had no idea of what species he had found in the woods. Anyways, he'd taken care of it. Though, the bird seemed... off. It fell over when walking more often, and slept more. Eko figured it was dying. He guessed this type of bird only had a short life span.

Coco still slept as he lifted him, and Eko sighed, putting the bird in the pocket of his jacket.

After washing his face and eating something, Eko decided to head out to the courtyard to think.
