TRAIT Stubborn Miranda doesn’t back down from anyone once she has set herself to something. Even if someone has obvious evidence that her way of thinking is wrong or that she has incorrect information, the girl will almost always refuse to admit that she is wrong.
TRAIT Aggressive Miranda isn’t one to mince words or hold back her actions. If something makes her mad, she is going to say or do something about it. If someone insults her brother, they’ll probably end up with the other party getting a bruised ego or a bloody nose. She will explode to anything that angers her.
TRAIT Determined Her determination is just about as strong as her stubbornness and it pairs well together since she won’t stop until she has accomplished whatever goal she has set out for herself, be it making a higher grade than her brother on a test (which...doesn’t happen as often as she would like), to something simple like reading a whole book in one night. She doesn’t let things get in her way.
TRAIT Ambitious Simply put, Miranda wants to be the best for no other reason than to simply say she is better. Years of living in her twin brother’s shadow has made her strive to do better than him.
TRAIT Protective Once you’ve gotten close to Miranda she will stick up for you, the only person she is currently like this with is her younger twin brother(despite her undying need to be better than him). She doesn’t let people talk bad about people she cares about. If there is a situation where this happens she will retaliate, most likely with a fist or a cruel comment.
TRAIT Self-Critical Despite all her outward aggression, she has quite a bit of internalized aggression as well. She tends to get down on herself when she isn’t first, or doesn’t have the highest grade. This usually causes her to act more aggressive than usual.

EARLY CHILDHOOD Miranda was born the elder of the Nolan twins, to Alan Nolan, a muggle actor, and Natalie Aston-Nolan a witch who worked as a small author. At Alan’s request the Twins were named after two characters from his favorite Shakespeare play, The Tempest. As the twins grew Miranda didn’t really come into her own all that well, she didn’t have any particular talents that stood out like her brother’s ability to comprehend languages, causing her to be pushed to the side by their parents. Because of this, she began to lash out. Getting into fights and becoming steadily more temperamental as time went on, especially if someone compared her to Ariel. Despite her anger, for some reason Miranda could never bring herself to hate her younger brother, who only seemed to want the best for her. She did continue to attempt to beat her brother in academic accomplishments in muggle schooling, and while she would get small victories she never could pass him. Even with her competitive nature, the two were almost inseparable, Ariel would do his best to keep Miranda from fighting the world while Miranda would protect Ariel from any bullies. When Ariel began showing signs of magic at age 8 but she didn’t she was distraught. Once again her parents seemed to focus on Ariel, especially their mother. Ariel confessed to his elder sister that his magic scared him and he didn’t want to train in magic without her even though she had yet to show any magic herself.

The next year, Miranda began exploding more at small things and would get angrier with their mother when she was chastised. One particular day, her mother asked Miranda why she couldn’t be more like Ariel. Miranda snapped, in rage she began shouting at her mother and as she did objects in the room began floating around her as she showed her first signs of magic.

SCHOOL YEARS
■ FIRST YEAR Glad to be separated from her twin brother. She didn't really make any friends, mostly because she could care less about making any. She ended up punching a second year Slytherin, Ceallachán Ó Madaidhín, after his attempt at flirting with her.
■ SECOND YEAR This year thankfully went by without any real incident from Miranda. She did seem to make a 'friend' out of fifth year Hufflepuff Celeste Kinsley after the giant food fight.
■ THIRD YEAR Miranda got into another big fight with her mother during the summer before her third year, causing her to leave the house like she normally does, with Ariel following behind. They ran into a Vampire named Harbinger who quite frankly irritated the snot out of Miranda. She hopes to not meet them again anytime soon.
■ FOURTH YEAR Miranda finally decided to stop going to Ariel's stupid club. The twins started distancing themselves from each other this year. Ariel hanging out with others while Miranda stuck to just having herself as company. She did see that girl Celeste again during a trip to Hogsmeade. She wasn't annoying at least.
