ABOUT
The Silver Gate Inn is a mid-class tavern, inn and brothel located in Nabol Hold. The food and beer are good, the rooms are cozy, the company is delightful, and the employees as a whole seem to have an unusual satisfaction in their work that attracts repeat customers.
OWNER
Dame Felixa has been owner of the Gate for the last 17 turns, and she was a worker there for several before that. She is a benevolent leader type, though often has to mask her kindness with seemingly harsh actions or words. She also does some shady things behind the scenes, for as a brothel owner in Nabol, there are certain expectations of her, and Gansley’s eyes and ears are everywhere. Lady Glisa was the prior owner of the Gate and she was a toughened, sharp-tongued older woman with a heart of gold. (Felixa's full profile is not approved yet, however Uta has privately given a thumbs-up to her concept and history as written.)
EMPLOYEES
Most employees of the Gate are former slaves who willingly chose to come work for the Gate. Be aware that Felixa still technically owns these workers due to the way things must be in Nabol, but nothing is forced upon anyone except an income quota which is only necessary in order to keep the whole operation running.
Brothel workers may set their own hours, choose their own clients, and receive an allowance that they may spend as they like. They may come and go as they please, as long as their income quota is fulfilled by the end of the month. Permission does need to be obtained from Felixa or Farimis for them to stay overnight anywhere, or to leave Nabol proper. They have a lot of freedom, but disruptive or unsafe behavior will get a worker sent elsewhere, as they could endanger the lives of everyone involved with the Gate.
Chaperons, cleaners, servers and cooks also have a lot of freedom, but need to work out morning and evening shifts among themselves to make sure the Gate has adequate coverage. Meals must be prepared and served timely and the building must look presentable for customers.
Every “rescued” staff member is housed and fed rent-free on the Gate’s property. Walk-in hires have the option of renting a room or finding their own housing.

Entertainers – must be 18 or older at the time of hire. Felixa isn’t going to rescue children from that sort of slavery only to turn around and make them do it for her!

Contacts for Felixa’s covert operations (Information, smuggling) – these must be people in relative positions of power who are strong, smart and well-versed in sneaky things. Felixa is forever flying under Gansley’s radar as much as possible, and can only work with people who have the pull to help things stay that way. Even if technically illegal, her secret operations are “good” in nature.
