Leading the two out of the slums, and into the main streets, the old woman reset her hood far over her head as she walked, hunched over as if she were nothing but a frail homeless person while tapping her stick across the ground. "I'm sure you must have many questions," Baba said quietly as she continued on down the main road heading towards the center of town, and towards more official areas of the city. She walked steadily along, looking over her shoulder periodically at the two whom would become the first to follow. "There is likely going to be a lot you won't understand," Baba said to the two of them lightly. "And that is to be expected, as we are all only allowed to know what he wishes for us to know," Baba continued on, her words almost turning cryptic.

Turning to Tala now, she smiled lightly as she walked, a little pep in her step as she spoke again. "You have done a great service Tala, and so he calls you before him, but unlike before, we will not need to stay on our toes this time around," She said as she rose an eyebrow before winking at him and chuckling lightly. She knew he would understand what she meant, the stern warnings she had given the first time he was brought before 'him'. "Still, it would be wise to mind your tongue, he is a Lord after all, and I cannot imagine it would bode well to lose his good graces," She said before looking forward again and continuing to walk down the main road.

"Philia my dear, you have long been an able assistant and very reliable when called upon," Baba said now addressing the slighter older woman. "He needs good reliable people to serve in his endeavors, and dare I say he might even be impressed by the appraisal I've given, this is the real deal Philia, the one we've been waiting for. " Baba said excitedly as she led them to the main gates of the grand central building that made up City Hall. The guards at the front opened the gates without a word, and let them pass through the gates and into the building.

"You are going to be a part of a great many things, this is only the beginning, mark my words," She said while pulling her hood off of her head, and standing up straight now, walking with the walking stick lightly at her side. She led them to a set of large doors, and slowly opened them to reveal a large chamber, that was big enough to hold a large number of people. At the end of hall, cascaded by moonlight, was a large seat centered on a center podium, almost like a throne in and of its own rights. The seat looked as though it normally would have faced towards the inside of the chamber, however, it had been turned, and was facing the moonlit windows at the back of the chamber. As if on cue, a hand lifted from the side of the chair, and beckoned them to come forth into the room. "well?" Baba said as she looked at each of them, a deep smirk on her face as she chuckled and started to walk into the room. She led them to the base of the podium's steps and stopped only a few steps away. Without a word, she bowed deeply towards the seat and then knelt.

Tala had seen Baba's 'transformation' several times in his past - The 'Frail' and 'Elderly' woman would be perceived as no threat to anyone as she was escorted by her younger companions who were seen, yet not heard - answering only when spoken to... This was often difficult for the Shadowmancer who found it hard not to speak his mind if the moment presented itself - he was learning however and kept his thoughts to himself as best he could as they walked.

It wasn't often that the old Witch smiled at him - even the wink was a shock! - as she spoke, Tala knew she must have been referring to the little 'retrieval mission' he had been tasked with in Valor... Although at times it had been close, he'd pulled it off and this must have impressed both seniors... It made sense to remember his manners in the presence of the Elder however - Tala never forgot the Witch's methods of discipline for misdeeds in the past and dared not think of what could happen if he fell out of favour with her now...

He had to admit, he was surprised to hear that Philia had known the Witch for quite some time - Even so much as to be called an 'Able Assistant' and Tala found his gaze drifting towards the female as he tried to work out exactly how they would have crossed paths without him knowing... His attention was soon drawn away towards the main gates of the City Hall, quirking an eyebrow as the guards seemed not to question the trio as they approached and even held the doors open for them!

Tala knew they must have entered a secure location when Baba suddenly straightened up, drawing off her hood before placing her walking stick to her side. Remaining silent, he followed suit, drawing back his own hood before watching as she strode ahead, leading the way towards another set of large doors which would reveal a chamber perhaps only matched by the Grand Hall back at the Academy?

Flanking the Witch, Tala would once again find his eyes briefly drifting towards Philia before turning to take in the splendour of the Hall as - when granted - they made their way towards the podium's steps at the end.

His fears of what may happen in the Elder's Grace had been somewhat eased when back at the small Hut in Eoana Forest - after much trepidation, the man had merely shown him where he was to head - yet Tala wasn't entirely unafraid...as Baba bowed and knelt, Tala would do the same, keeping his head low out of respect for the man.

~ Philia entered the Meeting Hall ~

Throughout the streets the three travelled, Philia and the boy just behind the old lady. The Enhancer kept a solid stare on her surroundings without turning her head to make her caution clear. "Many would be correct." She replied, as a researcher she'd basically live to question... In this situation even more so. The woman glanced briefly to Tala. So he's been aiding in their efforts... With than change to her earlier situation with him Philia was speak lowly. "Seems I misjudged you... Tala, was it? Hm..." The woman pondered and considering finding out more about his abilities, but that's better saved for later.

Philia nodded in aggrement to Baba's praise. "I dare to admit I am honored to play my part, more so if he can find use in my abilities..." A slight grin on her face, it was fascinating that Philia was finally going to witness one she both respects and found herself fascinated by. The latter would need to be held back for the time being though.

Entering at last through the gates and then doorway Philia found herself inside a rather... Intriguing building. The way the moonlight filled it with a rather unique air. "Interesting... With permission, Baba, I would like to get a better look at these walls some time." She stopped there and looked down the hall to a throne, turned away from the trio. They approached at the sign of a hand calling them. Like Baba and Tala, Philia knelt down to one knee once they had approached, lowering her head. Her white bangs drooped down, preventing her from staring up to the Throne temporarily.

A small amount of time had passed since the three had knelt behind the large, centered chair. The Lord sitting upon it lowered his hand slowly and took a breath before purposely and exasperatedly breathing out a heavy breath. "Do you know..." a voice suddenly spoke out with a powerfully deep and resonant yet almost hauntingly beautiful tone, warm and tranquil as if it was wrapped around them like a blanket, "...what disappointment truly is..." The man asked lightly, his words only pausing for a moment before echoing out once more. "Whatever you think your answer, I assure you it is nothing," He said as his voice grew slightly deeper in its tone, slightly more intense in its delivery. "Nothing, not even a speck of dust when compared to the greatest disappointments of the gods..."

Another bout of silence overtook the room so heavily for the moment that the very air seemed to stand still. "I doubt you could even fathom the extent of my despair, of my dismay... of this curse, this land, and these... people, who dare to defy my will in my absence," The man spoke out while lifting a hand back into the air as if he was reaching for the sky before forming a tightly clenched fist with his strong and able hand in emphasis of his words. Taking in another deep breath the man let out another heavy sigh before suddenly standing from the high chair. As he stood, his long silky black hair waved outwards before falling behind him giving way to his beautifully ornate fur-lined coat. The pure white fur lining his coat extended down his back as well as across the back of his shoulders, lining a hood that was built into the coat, giving him an immediate feel of a noble or lord from the high-class clothing that he wore. "Well..." He said as he peered over his shoulder briefly, his voice echoing out once more with intensity, "No more..."

Turning from the chair now, the man stepped around it to face the three that had knelt before him. This unknown man, this unknown lord was a beautifully handsome man. Tall, muscular, his hair was black as night as it fell behind him nearly to his waist. His eyes were a piercing blue, like the light reflecting off of the shores of the ocean. His face was almost contradictive in its guise, as he had an almost kind and wise air about him, but his gaze, however, gave off a hauntingly narrowed, incredibly focused, and almost sinister sight. "Now is the time to return my will to the world..." He said with conviction that could send shivers up the spines of those that heard it. "And you have the honor of being the first to kneel and pledge your undying loyalty..."

At that moment, as the unknown lord faced the three and addressed them, suddenly the doors of the large chamber slammed open as the Lord Marshal of the city of Eoana charged into the meeting hall followed by four guards. "What are you doing here?! What is the meaning of this!" The Lord Marshal yelled out in anger as he started to storm towards the small group. The unknown Noble Lord's eyes shifted from the three kneeling in front of him to the Lord Marshal with both annoyance and what could only be described as 'glee'. "Ah! Just the man I've been waiting to see," The man said as Baba stood up and turned to face the men who were heading towards them. She lifted a hand up in front of her with two fingers pointing towards the ceiling and muttered something under her breath. The Lord Marshal slowed as his eyes narrowed at the unknown Lord's words. "Excuse me?! Who the hell do you think you a..." The Lord Marshal was completely cut off before he could finish his question however as Baba suddenly flipped her hand downwards and the Lord Marshal face-planted into the ground with a powerful forceful thud. "Tsk tsk tsk," Baba said while shaking her finger at the Lord Marshal. "You watch your tongue in His presence" She suddenly said in her old cackling voice.

Without missing a beat, the guards suddenly drew their weapons and went on the offensive. One of them went to the Lord Marshal's aid while two others charged forward to attack the intruders, the last freezing in fear at the back of the room. One of them swung their spear forward, and suddenly the spearhead shot forward off of the spear's handle, being propelled forward by the guard's raiment. "Woh toh toh," Baba let out oddly as she brought her hand up in response before waving it to the side. The guard's spearhead, as well as the guard himself, suddenly flew off to the side, slamming hard against the wall of the meeting hall with a loud crack. As the other guard ran forward to strike with his sword, Baba lifted her hand once more and jested playfully. "You!... There!..." She shouted loudly as she pointed at the charging guard, and then waved towards the corner of the ceiling. Like the other guard, this guard suddenly went flying to the corner, slamming hard against the ceiling before crashing down to the ground.

The Lord Marshal struggled to move from his position as if a giant was stepping on his back. His eyes went wide with surprise as he watched the one guard who didn't move. He was one of the men who was stationed at the front gates of city hall when Baba had led Tala and Philia inside and had already been berated by the Lord Marshal for allowing strange people inside without authority. Now he was cowering in fear near the chamber doors as his fellow guards were magically manhandled. "Are you mad!?" The Lord Marshal yelled out at the guard who immediately looked at him with complete fear in his eyes. "Go sound the horn and get the Captain!, Get to Reynard! Quickly!" He yelled out to the guard who suddenly started to run out of the doors. The last remaining guard seeing that he was the only one still on his feet took up arms in front of the Lord Marshal then, nervously holding his weapon at the ready since he could do nothing to help the Lord Marshal stand. Seeing the one guard rush out of the door, Baba's face grew a bit more serious as she looked to both Tala and Philia with a stern gaze. "Stop him!" Was the only order she gave before turning her attention back to the guard in front of the Lord Marshal. While all of this was going on, the unknown Lord simply watched, his eyes focused on the scene before him as he held his arms behind his back as if he was gauging the turn of events, and waiting to see how it turned out.

Having bore witness to the Elder's visage before, at the sound of the man's silky voice, Tala found it hard to resist lifting his gaze...and was more than a little surprised when his eyes focused upon long black hair, smooth skin and a more than regal appearance... Images of the Gaunt, Ancient being he'd met back in Eoana Forest flashed briefly into his mind, but the Shadowmancer quickly dismissed them, recognising that he was now in the presence of a power even he hadn't considered before... He would drop his gaze again, staring down at the steps before him as he wondered what could have happened in the time between their last meeting. It was like the Elder was a whole new man.

Tala would feel his ears twitch in reaction to the sounds of the chamber doors as they suddenly flew open behind them to reveal Eoana's Lord Marshal. Glaring out from the corner of his eye, the Shadowmancer would watch the intruders as the man demanded an answer to what was going on, before he turned - still crouched - to watch as Baba immediately set upon the man and his guards - the latter of which were thrown around like toys in the hands of a sadistic child.

He would watch the scene unfold from his crouched position before hearing the Witch's command to seize the fleeing guard. Without giving it a second thought Tala would lunge from where he had knelt, darting forward in pursuit of the man whilst calling the shadows up on either side of him with the subtle twitch of his fingers. Forming like trails of dark flame, two large canines would claw their way from the ground either side of the youth as he charged towards the door - they would run parallel to their creator for just a brief moment, before pushing on ahead, chasing down the fleeing guard before flanking him as he tried his hardest to put on a burst of speed in the hopes of escaping them.

Perhaps the most scary thing about these beasts was their slathering white fangs and glowing eyes as they scanned their prey for a weakness - Keeping his creations in sight, Tala would continue to run behind them, ready to have the pair lunge and bite. With his current skills, they would only be able to hang on for a short amount of time, but perhaps the motion itself would be enough to throw the guard off his pace and send him to the ground?

Philia kept a stern hold over her composure as the Lord spoke, his voice sent shivers down the young womans spine, along with a itch of curiosity... He was certainly a unique character, one she intend to prove her usefulness as well as her loyalty to. Perhaps within enough respect she can even learn more about this mysterious noble. His outlook on this generation was certainly fascinating as well. Praying he would not take offense she would lift her gaze by mere inches to get a somewhat better look at the man of whome she would be taking orders from besides Baba. The strong figure, sharp, blue gaze and flowing black hair... The unknown lord certain gave off a unique air, whether that was a good or bad air was still unclear to her. Not that it mattered.

Later into their lords speech there was a *thud* as the doors behind them burst open and in came several guards to confront them. Philia had already shot to her feet, entering a defensive posture... Ready to fight up until the old lady decided to step in. Seemingly with no warning guards all around were being thrown about the hall and knocked up, the Marshal himself seemingly held on the ground by a mysterious force... How did she..? Was it a raiment of some sort? Certainly another power worth looking into if she would ever get that chance.

The moment to calm was not yet over as after some raised voices a single guard was off running to get backup. Philia's gaze shifted into a glare and on command from Baba, she and Tala would give chase, leaving the hall. Tala certainly appears to possess greater speed than her... Perhaps with a little more he would certainly be about to catch up with the fleeing guard. "Hurry, I'll catch up!" She'd call out to her new comrade. While the boy was still just within her range Philia would center her focus onto the shadowmancer. A faint flow of blue mist would be emitted from the woman and after a time, travelled into the body of Tala. The process would take a fair while but once her transfer was complete he would possess not only longer control over his shadows, but a short boost to his physical abilities. And hopefully by the time she can catch up he would have the guard cornered... Her pace slowed to that of fast walking so as not to overexcert herself while she allowed her power to recover.

Tala had heard Philia's shout and glared briefly over his shoulder, his eyes widening as he saw the blue mist advancing upon him - Taken by the spur of the moment, any natural fears that might have instilled a sense of panic in him were gone and he never even broke his stride to consider what she might be sending his way. Instead, the Shadowmancer would give no reply to her shout, but felt a smirk pull at the edge of his lips as he took note that he suddenly felt that little bit stronger - not wasting a breath, he put on a burst of speed and in turn watched as that boost extended to his own creations.

The Beasts at his command seemed to quicken in their pace - having perhaps flanked the guard for long enough, they would now leap up like a Wolf pack hunting an Elk, slamming their bodies into the side of their target - The poor man seemed not to know what had hit him and as he stumbled to one side, a both beasts made a lunge for his flailing arms, biting down and gripping tight, slowing him down just enough for their Alpha to catch up.

With the guard still on his feet, Tala would continue his charge until he was right on top of them, then - as the beasts released their target, he would tackle the man, knocking free the helm that hid the Guard's face as the pair crashed to the ground.

Understandably, the man would struggle and as the youth straddled the guard's back - pinning him down - his shadowbeast would continue to clamp down on the man's arms, holding him in place as any who followed were then given time to catch up.

Watching the entire scene unfold, the Unknown Lord's eyes narrowed a bit when Tala and Philia darted out the door. They didn't hesitate in the slightest, and this brought amusement into his eyes as their first impressions were solidly formed in his eyes. Baba had done well given her situation, and even though it was a small start, he felt it would be a strong start, one that no one would see coming. While the two were out in the hall, heading further away, the Unknown Lord sighed lightly and brought one of his hands up in front of him. "That is enough..." They could hear briefly from the chamber as the Unknown Lord spoke and dealt with the remaining guards in the room whom were trying to hold their stance or regain their composure after being tossed around. All of sudden there was nothing but silence coming from the room, and as they chased down the last guard. The last thing they could hear before getting too far way was the powerful resonating voice of their Unknown Lord as he spoke once more. "It's about time we put an end to this charade, we have much to discuss you and I..."

After that, the two would be out of range to hear anything else. As they pinned the guard to the ground, and kept him from doing anything more then squirming about, Baba suddenly appeared from the chamber, by herself, and slowly walked over to both Tala and Philia while nodding her head, seemingly pleased with the outcome. She looked down at the guard that was still squirming under Tala, and snapped her fingers, causing the young guards head to smash against the ground, knocking him unconscious almost immediately. "Well done you two, well done..." She started to say while continuing down the hall, as if she was now leaving, out of the building, out of City Hall, and without the Unknown Lord. Looking back at the two who were likely confused, she smiled as she brought a hand up to waved at them to follow. "Do not fret, he is pleased..." She said almost cryptically before turning once more and starting back out of the building. Whatever was happening back in the chamber, it seemed the Unknown Lord for now had dismissed them all, and so they were to follow Baba out into the city, until they were clear of the building, and safely away what had transpired in the meeting hall.

Tala had been quite in the zone until Baba had made her appearance... It was as she used her magic to slam the unfortunate's head into the ground that the young Shadowmancer finally broke from his focus and his eyes widened slightly as he quickly realised what he'd done... Around the Guard, Tala could see blood, the uniform he wore was drenched in red and lacerated where his Shadowbeasts had caught hold and bitten deep...

...But what was this? Baba was congratulating him once again, he lifted his head, rising from where he'd come to rest upon the Guard's back - having held him in place until the Witch and Philia had been able to catch up...

Realising he'd broken his own 'no-touch' policy, Tala would discretely brush off any feeling of contact to his hands and arms, noting the blood that had tainted his skin and wiping what he could on his pants before stuffing his hands into his pockets. It was strange for Baba to praise him - especially twice in so short a time... And the Elder... He was pleased too? The youth wasn't used to such approval...but it felt good to know he'd actually done something considered right.

His eyes would flick towards Philia as he recognised her presence - it had been her Raiment that had given him the boost to chase the man down, she had been the one to enable him to empower his beasts, making them stronger so they could actually make physical contact with the enemy, rather than just glancing by and leaving no more than a bruise... Maybe she wasn't so bad after all?

As Baba started to walk away, Tala would instinctively move to follow, casting a glance back over his shoulder towards the City Hall - although they were out of earshot, he could only wonder what had transpired once he'd rushed out after the Guard... He recalled hearing the Elder's voice, but had been too focused upon the pursuit to really define what he may have said. Certain Baba would fill them in later on, Tala returned his attention to the world ahead of him and followed the Witch safely out into the streets.

After taking her time to rest Philia picked up the pace in order to catch up with Tala. Along the way hearing the voice of their Lord for a mere moment until she'd reached the scene. The Shadowmancer had managed to pin the guard and before they made any other action their attention was turned towards Baba, who in a near instant finished the job swiftly. Blood spilled from the guard and... While Philia certainly was new to the sight and felt a slight discomfort, Tala appeared to not take it as well. She raised an eyebrow curiously when the boy glanced at her. She uttered a simple "Not bad. For a peeping tom." Giving him a slight grin, Philia turned away and let loose a sigh.

They had later started moving to get away from the scene, seems like she is in the Lords good books for the time being. But she still had to wonder what kind of power Baba possessed to do what she did. Whatever the case she would have to save that curiousity for another day. Philia's focus for now will be finding her way to an inn for the night. Perhaps if she was not needed she can try to learn more about the city from the locals in the morning.

Storming through the halls of the large central building that was City Hall, Varys lead a small squad of city guards into the Meeting Hall and sighed lightly before waving the guards to return to their designated posts. Four of them stayed in the meeting hall, taking their places at the corners of the large room as the remaining two took their places in the entryway. Formalities aside, Varys wasn't particularly looking forward to dealing with whatever noble Trendel had sent this time. He had far too much to do, with very little to time to do them. With everything that was coming, he needed to make sure that the preparations expected of him were complete, Varys had to be ready, and so this interlude was already testing Varys's patience. He had been on edge for the past few weeks now, keeping to himself whenever he could, sending odd messages out throughout the night to many different artisans, smiths, carpenters, woodworkers, and even tailors. To anyone trying to pay attention, the only thing that was known for sure was that more than one was contacted, for what purpose was anyone's guess, especially since for a while it seemed as though nothing happened at all after they were summoned by the Lord Marshal.

Sitting at his centered council seat, Varys placed his spear at the seat's side and sat back in order to take a break while waiting for his "esteemed" guest. Because it was a Noble of one of the Kingdoms, and a Ranked member of the government lordships at that, Varys had summoned the captain of the guard to attend as well. He hadn't exactly been on the best of terms with Captain Reynard as of late, but he knew the captain better than most, he was someone Varys could always rely on. Thus he took a breath and waited patiently to hear the words that would echo just moments later from one of his guards mouth. "Captain Balgaire has arrived my Lord," The guard stated evenly while bowing to the Lord Marshal from the main doors. "Yes, yes, send him in!" Varys said almost hurried. When Reynard entered the room, Varys took a calmed breath for the first time in a while, and stood to greet his friend. "Rey, it's good to see you," Varys said while walking over to Reynard, and patting Rey on the sides of his shoulders. "Please forgive me Rey, things have been a bit hectic as of late, and I haven't been very kind to you these past few weeks..." He would say before guiding Reynard back towards the council seats, where they could sit and talk amongst themselves until their supposed guest of honor arrived.

    [ - Enter City Hall - ]

This was truly the last place he wanted to be right now. He would have much preferred to have stayed at Dianeโ€™s house and talked about them moving in together whilst cuddling next to the fire. But nooo, he needed to be present for the arrival of some stuffy, pompous Nobleman from Trendel. Once he was announced, Rey was ushered into the main council room were Varys was waiting for him. He gave his friend a small bow of the head and was surprised by Richardโ€™s greeting. The last few weeks had been rough, but it seemed that the Lord Marsal was relieved to see him.

โ€œTruth be told I was beginning to wonder if you still considered me a friend, Richardโ€ฆbut it seems that you have just as much to deal with as I do.โ€ Rey knew what was going on with the artisans of the city โ€“ the weapons that had been commissioned, the gear, all of it. Whatever Richard was planning, it was big, but Rey couldnโ€™t bring it up, not when he didnโ€™t know what game his friend was playing.

Taking his seat, he settled in easily and looked to Richard. โ€œSo tell me, what esteemed guest will I be meeting today? It must be serious if you asked me to this meeting, Varys.โ€ Again, there were other places he would much rather be, but as the Cityโ€™s Guard Captain he answered to the Lord Marshal, thus, he didnโ€™t have much of a choiceโ€ฆ

"Yes, unfortunately, the timing isn't great, especially since it is right before the Harvest Festival, but we have a Trendelonian Councilman arriving today, for what, even I do not know. Trendel's Governer-General is not due to arrive until the spring, and so, on comes the diplomacy and politics," Varys said exaggeratedly and with a heavy sigh. Slinking back into his chair, he took another deep breath and looked to Rey with an expression Rey would have never seen before. It seemed as though he wanted to say something, but was unable to do so. He was hesitant, and Richard Varys was never hesitant.

As he sat back, Varys brought a hand up to his forehead, rubbing his temples for a moment before looking back towards Reynard. "Rey..." He started to say after a long pause, but before he could say anything else, one of his guards came through the doors. "My Lord Varys, Lord Arthur De'Fraye of Trendel has arrived," The guard said while kneeling and awaiting instruction. Varys stopped in his tracks and looked over to the guard before looking back at Rey and shrugging. "I guess it's time," He said befor standing and stepping down from his seat. 'It's for the best, Richard, you could have messed up, gods know who might have been watching...' "Let him in," Varys said as he reached the center of the meeting hall, and he looked back at Rey with a narrowed eyes for a moment, and then set his eyes on the doors as the guards let them in.

Stepping in through the doors, a tall fairly imposing man walked through the doors, followed by Trendelonian guards of his own. He stepped up to the Lord Marshal and bowed respectfully before speaking. "Lord Marshal Varys, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance," He said firmly as he stood straight up and narrowed his gaze. "I have a bit of a problem, and I was hoping you would be able to aide me"

Rey nodded a bit and sighed. โ€œOh how we love politicsโ€ฆโ€ He couldnโ€™t help the small note of sarcasm that entered his tone when he spoke. But it was true, they loved Eoana and all that it stood for, but the politics that came along with it? No, thank you. Heโ€™d leave that to Varys, meanwhile heโ€™d take care of the criminals who thought they could โ€˜poisonโ€™ the city with their misdeeds; that was more his speed. Although there was something to be said about the poison of politicsโ€ฆ.

Looking at his long-time friend, he could tell that there was something on his mind, something that Varys wanted to say to him. But before Rey could question him, one of the sentries came to announce the arrival of the politician they would be meeting with. Frowning a bit, Rey nodded and arose from his seat, following Varysโ€™s example.

Rey remained silent as Varys and Lord Deโ€™Fraye, whom he could only assume was Aldaineโ€™s Father, greeted one another. He had to wonder if Aldaine knew about his fatherโ€™s arrival and if so, why he wasnโ€™t here to greet the man as well. Wouldnโ€™t he want to see his own kin?

Stepping forward, Rey made a small bow, feeling the need to introduce himself to Lord Deโ€™Fraye. โ€œIt is a pleasure to meet you Lord Deโ€™Fraye, I am Captain Reynard Balgaire of the City Guard. Lord Varys asked me to attend this meeting as well, if you donโ€™t mind.โ€ Rey was really hoping that Lord Deโ€™Fraye would want him dismissed โ€“ he had much better things he could be doing with his afternoon, but if this man really did have a problem, it stood to reason that he would want all the help he could getโ€ฆ
