“Hm?” Musica blinked and looked at Seika with confusion on her face. Then she laughed and waved her good hand. “Nono, I should be fine,” she answered cheerfully as she let her coat simply drape over her shoulders, instead of wearing it normally. “I can’t sit around waiting for the repairs to be finished when there’s work to do. And I don’t wanna rush the repair either or it might get even more banged up. Then it’d definitely cost me an arm.” Musica laughed and slid her hand into the samurai’s. “Besides, I have you here.” The white haired shinobi’s eyes sparkled as she locked eyes with Seika. “I don’t really feel worried about running into something we can’t handle if you’re around. Hey Kenshin, didja know?” Musica’s face full of wonder turned to the Lord as they left the hospital. “Seika’s is amazing with a sword! Maybe she can show even you a thing or two.” She added with a playful snicker. It was nice to be out of the hospital, even if Musica was unconscious for most of it. The beds were uncomfy, and it was surprisingly always too cold. Also, there was work to do. Musica didn’t like to sit still when there was work to do.
It’d been a hot minute since she’d been in the Spire. Since she left with Kenshin on their mission. It felt longer than… one day. Had it been only one day? Crazy. But, like Kenshin, Musica went to grab a paper cup of coffee. Made with mostly cream and sugar, unlike the Hyuuga’s. She grabbed a good portion of the shinobi files, dropped them on the floor, and then sat down on the floor with her drink. She flicked through the files about as quickly as she could. “Well, we have Kagerou. They’re pretty consistent to the village. We also have…. The Hyuuga twins, Hotaru and Seo. They’re mission record is pretty impressive. But I’m not sure how to promote twins into a Kage seat.” Musica shifted her eyes from the paper to Kenshin. She thumbed through a few leaflets of other shinobi. Takao Yamamoto, Thresher… Those would have been her first choices, if Musica had to be honest. But she’d let them down, and they were gone because of it. Would she be able to help… whoever they decided on today? It was hard for Musica to say, but the concern was evident on her face. “Seika, do you have any suggestions?”

"Oh, it is quite fine." Seika said smiling at Lord Hyuuga once he recognized her and apologized for what he had said those three months ago. It was an odd feeling, knowing that she had been so different in that short amount of time. "I understand your position and why you made the decision. Such a burden to bear as a moderator for the meeting is not one many people take so seriously."
It upset Seika to hear that Musica wouldn't be at least waiting until her arm would finishing being repaired. The samurai did want to have some kind of care for the woman, but she was making this needlessly hard. A pout appeared on the girl's face up until she felt the hand of Musica slide into hers. The feeling of their hands connecting would cause her to feel her face redden. A wave of embarrassment came over the woman while listening to Musica place her trust in Seika. The samurai became lost in her thoughts, looking at Musica as they walked to The Spire. "She...trusts me to defend her? But she's way more powerful than I am." Seika locked eyes with the captain of the police force before continuing to be in her own head. It did make her be little bit on edge, but all Seika could do was to smile to herself. "I'll protect you with all that I've got, Musica. Just to see you smile again." With her resolve made, the samurai's grip on Musica's hand tightened to a firm grasp. She'd look to Kenshin as Musica spoke about her skills in swordplay. How embarrassing! Being talked about so highly to Lord Hyuuga of all people. "O-Oh, it's nothing special." Seika said. "I am sure that Lord Hyuuga has seen the Seiryu style once before. Musica and I sparred with one another."

"All of your choices appear to be our prime candidates as of current, Musica." Seka nodded in agreement. Her fingers graced the picture of the twins and placed the on the floor in front of the three. "I would move to suggest that the Hyuuga twins would be a popular choice as their recent quelling of the riots in the Ukyo branch of Arashigakure may help reduce the amount of pushback to many forming another uprising against the police force." The woman moved to Kagerou's picture and placed it next to the one of the twins. "Kagerou has also been an ever appreciated presence in the village. No doubt that they would do well in representing the village as a whole themselves." A hesitant pause came while the samurai flicked through the other ninja present, furrowing her brows in thought. "The issue I have is that my two closest selections were the same ones who were are to memorialize. I cannot say that I do not trust the other ninja...But I am rambling now. I just wished that I could have spoken to Thresher more. We had only talked when she came to Zaishin so long ago. And Takao did want to "go for drinks" later, whatever that refers to." The samurai looked down. Even if they weren't incredibly close in any regard, it was still apparent that Seika still looked highly of the two of her superiors.
Seika finished while then looking to Lord Hyuuga with an apologetic expression. "I apologize for my inexperience. I suppose I am accustomed to how the Village of Iron decides upon who is best fit to rule that matters such as these seem so foreign to me."

There were many arts of swordsmanship that Kenshin was not well versed in but he was a master of the types that he did use. When they were all sitting in the office he considered the various options as he looked at the scrolls. When Musica mentioned confusion about promoting twins to a Kage position, he quickly dismissed the notion. "You must've forgotten that the first Arashikages of this village were twins. Likely the same kekkei genkai even. I have experience with that process." It was as simple as naming two shinobi to the position. Since they were two halves of the same person it was essentially the same as naming one. "Hyuga? I wonder if they're from my branch of the clan in the Lightning Country. I'll have to check the citadel's records." Kenshin mused about the possibility and considered what to do for later. He looked at the scroll for Hotaru and Seo and looked at their mission record. When Musica suggested Kagerou he shook his head briefly. "Kagerou is a good and experienced shinobi but I question her judgment. Someone who supported Toso for so long isn't one that I can consider for the position in good conscience." The sannin thought out loud. 'Uncle Kenshin wants to see us? That's strange.' Hotaru wondered to his sister after receiving a message to report to the Arashikage's office. The twins had heard what had happened at the riot through the grapevine. Unfortunately at the time, the Twins were busy at the hospital with the influx of patients. There were a lot of injured from the events that had transpired and they were helping as best they could. 'Didn't think the guy even knew we existed.' Seo thought back, following along her brother's side. Whatever it was, the twins knew that it was important. 'You think he heard about us getting the tenseigan? Maybe he wanted to congratulate us or something.' Hotaru came up with a rather logical conclusion to why they would be summoned by Kenshin, especially with them being escorted by a CORE agent. 'Well, the CORE guy said something about the Yondaime Arashikage slot needing to be filled. Probably would have known that if you listened. I think it's more likely he wants our opinion on who we think the next Kage should be since we're Jonin.' Seo would respond. That seemed to make sense to Hotaru, but they really wouldn't know until they got to the office.
Not long after they had gotten the message, the twins would arrive at the Arashikage's office. 'Huh I think I'm getting a little nervous.' Hotaru admitted to his sister as they were being escorted through the building. Seo wouldn't respond, she seemed to be trying to concentrate. It was obvious to Hotaru that she was trying to make a good impression. Without much more talk between the twins, they would be brought into the office where they immediately recognized Kenshin, Seika, and Musica. The twins would both walk forward and bow to the shinobi present. "Lord Hyuuga, we're Hotaru and Seo Hyuuga." Seo would give a proper introduction as the twins rose back into a standing position. The twins would then wait to see what the shinobi had to say.
“Politics in Arashi weren’t really my thing back then…” Musica muttered. Hell, she only became more involved in them due to her position these days. She hadn’t been a shinobi until towards the end of Toso’s term. Before then she’d spent her time as a thief, so matters of the village didn’t hold as much weight to her back then. It was just her and her family trying to survive, not for lack of trying by the APD. Her mind started to wander while she looked down at the files of shinobi without truly reading anything. How things can change in such a short amount of time. Even the focus of things had changed, and the scope of the dangers Musica and her family had faced became more… grand. Going from trying to divvy up food to needing to fight against world ending threats was such a dramatic shift, and it made the previous issues seem so trivial. Kenshin’s words pulled Musica from her reverie, dragging her thoughts back to the world of the living from outer space.
“Lovebirds?” Musica tilted her head quizzically. Were… were her and Seika lovebirds? It wasn’t something Musica had truly ever thought about. Sure, they were friendly but did that mean they were together? Still, being reprimanded by Lord Hyuuga made her feel… smaller? The police chief shifted a couple inches from Seika. She wasn’t sure if her own focus was being broken by the presence of the former samurai, but… was it possible that Musica was spending too much time with the Seiryu? If that was the case, then maybe some time apart wouldn’t be a bad thing. If it was for the greater good and all that. The appearance of the Hyuuga twins once again pulled Musica back to the real world. Ever since she’d left the hospital her mind was having a hard time staying on track. The white haired Jonin rose to her feet once Hotaru and Seo entered the office. “Hi guys!” Musica smiled and waved at them, completely informal in contrast to Kenshin. “The three of us were going over some shinobi files.” She continued, waving her only good arm to the piles of folders. “Any thoughts on a successor? You two do good work around here, so we’d love your input.”

Kenshin did say that the first kages of the village were twins, a fact that had passed by even Seika. She gave a surprised look, wondering how such a title would even work. Were they both kage at the same time? Was there some other kind of thing that restricted which twin was in charge? The world was so confusing for a soul that had stayed in Zaishin for so long. The woman's eyes went back to Kenshin while the samurai sat across from Musica while Kenshin continued going through the list of possible kages. Kagerou was another good choice, but the still stood that she supported Toso's rule. Kenshin eased Seika's worry of not participating things enough by saying that he would have the final say in things. "Makes one wonder why we are even here to begin with." Seika thought to herself, leaning backwards until the handholding comment came up. The woman's normally serious face would become flustered while being called a pair lovebirds. She looked at the white haired police chief and scoot a few inches away while clearing her throat as if something had taken her focus away. "I, ah, apologize, Lord Hyuuga. My attention will be better kept under control in the future." She scolded herself and would back back at the distance between her and Musica. Yet watching as Musica would focus elsewhere, Seika couldn't help but acknowledge that odd feeling in her chest. It wasn't sad, but rather a short of strange loneliness despite being in the same room as the white haired thunderstruck girl. Her thoughts became clouded and rather self doubtful while she'd just close her eyes and await the arrival of the twins.
The wait wasn't long, as the Hyuuga twins would both enter. Seika smiled at them both, giving a bow of her torso from a sitting position, her dark lavender locks falling in front of her while doing so, soon pushed behind her ears. "It is good to meet you in person, though I do wish it were under less formal circumstances." Her right hand fell over her heart, a formal sign of appreciation done in Zaishin that was but one of many traditions that had been shoved down her throat from the beginning. "I must say though, I heard about what happened in the Ukyo Compound and do wish to thank you. As somebody from a land where noble infighting is common, it is nice to see that you two have succeeded in quelling their uprising alone." If the two were the reason why the Ukyo families were still allied with Arashigakure, it would definitely be a very good marking for them as a prospective kage, After her intrusion, she'd nod her head to Musica and Lord Kenshin. "Please, anybody whom you may think would be fit to lead the village."
Although she was here, Seika did have to wonder why exactly she was present. Kenshin and Musica's reasons were rather obvious, and the twins did be asked to come. It made Seika the odd one out of the group, though she hid it fairly well enough. In her own mind, at least. The samurai had always considered herself an outsider, even after the months she had left the Land of Iron to migrate here on the Shogun's orders. Although she kept that facde of a samurai, very few people could see the cracks in between. "They are fine without me anyway. A samurai should not become too invested in foreign affairs. This is just an extension of good will." She let the group talk and would remain silent for now, content with just listening while her mind pondered about a meal. Having a drill carve through your chest, rushing to save an elderly man's life, being healed, and then carrying the body of the chief to the hospital took a lot out of a person.

Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.

'See they want our input on woh the Arashikage should be. That's all.' Hotaru relaxed a bit internally as Musica asked them about who they thought should be the Arashikage. It was a rather difficult answer. Many of the people they knew wouldn't wanna be kage or had disappeared as of late. It seemed the village uprising resulted in more disappearances than some even realized. "The only high ranking shinobi we have experience really with is Kagerou and Takao and well..." Seo trailed off for a moment, the wound still fresh in their mind of their commander. They weren't there for anyone that day. "We also were part of the undercover force that routed out this corruption. But, we weren't alone at the Compound. We had a squad that backed us up. Akoto and Ni-Ju Nana." Hotaru added onto some of their achievements as shinobi. They had been around Arashi for longer than they had though. 'We're getting old.' Hotaru joked with his sister in their form of telepathy.
Both the twins focus changed by to Kenshin as he spoke again. "We remember that day. Our friend Yui was mind controlled that day and you took care of her." That day was the cause of one of the greatest fights the twins had ever had with each other. Hotaru wouldn't talk to Seo for days. He swore he hated her back then and Seo couldn't blame him for feeling that way. 'Us Arashikage? Like the twins before Toso?' Hotaru almost laughed. There wasn't anyway he thought this was the way this was going to go. 'What do you think?' Hotaru asked Seo who so far had been quiet. 'I think there's no one else better for the job.' Seo would say, returning to her familiar confident self.
"Arashigakure is our home. Always has been." Hotaru would start. 'It's where our family, friends, and home are." He would continue before Seo would pick up where he had left off. "We've defended it from threats foreign and domestic. We've gone to Zaishin as diplomats. We've personally healed thousands of it's villagers over our years as doctors at the hospital." She would add to what Hotaru was saying, giving their more professional achievements. "We've given this village our all. It means everything to us. We would do anything to see this village healed." Hotaru would finish off their little speech. It was rather impromptu, so it remained short. Fortunately the twins were always able to bounce off each other quite well. "We'd be honored to serve as it's Arashikage. We refuse to fail. Without a doubt we're the best choice for the job." Seo would say, her confidence seemingly overflowing.
Despite the occasion being one for celebration, Musica cast a hardened stare at Kenshin.It was for an instant before the young woman composed herself. She knew that he was right about the previous Shogun, in charge of the war between the samurai and shinobi. But being so blunt about it right in front of Seika rubbed the APD chief the wrong way. Maybe she was getting older, the severity of the situation, or both. But Musica, in the back of her mind, took note of taking reign of her temper, unlike before like when Kameyo died. She let out a breath, one that could be mistaken as discomfort from her wounds during the riots. It was then, however, that Musica took Seika’s hand in her own, despite the slight scolding Kenshin had just given them. She didn’t even try to hide it, as a subtle objection to Kenshin’s attitude. Maybe she hadn’t grown up that much.
Healing Arashigakure. Yeah, that was a good phrase for it. Musica thought about the conflicts both within and outside of the village. But Musica felt very much the same way. “As shinobi, I feel like it’s our jobs to keep everyone that lives here safe.” Her focus momentarily turned down to the streets beneath the Spire, where the giant conflict had happened just hours ago. She felt her hand clench from frustration, but none of it showed on her face with her unwavering smile. “But it’s important to remember you don’t have to do it alone, you two. So if you need any help, don’t hesitate to ask. And I’m sure Seika feels the same way.” She turned to the former samurai in earnest. “Right?” Musica turned her attention back to the newly appointed Kage... Kages? Was there a specific plural for two people in the same Kage position? Whatever. "But I'm sure you two will do fine, and I'm excited to work with you."

Seika's heart plummeted at hearing the event she wished to forget about. The stain of honor that would never come off, no matter how hard she rinsed. The former samurai looked a tad more sullen at Kenshin's glance towards her. I remember hearing about what had happened during the previous Shogun's reign. I wonder if Kenji would have fought if he hadn't taken the Seiryu detractors. The samurai was silent the rest of the time they had spoken, closing her eyes in inner turmoil while she'd exhale to try and calm herself down. An unfortunate landmark in our history. Our forces dwindled to almost nothing in a single day. I've always wondered if we should hold a holiday for them, but the Lord Shogun has enough on his plate. Seika's troubled brow would soften as a sensation of warmth holding came to be known to her. Seika's opened her eyes at Musica, having a look on her face of surprise. But she wouldn't have a thing to her as she'd be more at ease while the twins would volunteer themselves as a seat of the kage. After a rousing speech, the ex samurai softly applauded their acceptance speech. Musica threw her a bone and asked if she would offer her assistance, which she did agree to with a nod.
"As ninja of Arashigakure, we carry the weight together. Even when the shogunate ruled, it came up to the shoulders of the five clans to help carry the burden of rule. All of us will gladly do our part to help. You two have no reasons to go about this alone." Seika looked and Musica and would give a quick Zaishin salute out of habit. "I have no qualms about your rule, though Kenshin does have the final say."

'Just like that huh?' Hotaru couldn't help himself but comment to his sister about the situation. They appreciated the votes of confidence and support from the other shinobi present. Running the village simply wasn't a task for a single person anymore it seemed. There was far too much going on for such stress to be put on the shoulders of only a single individual. It's why it made sense to Seo that they were chosen. Seo and Hotaru were able to see almost anything they wanted and they worked in a symbiotic way that lead to success with all of their missions. "Thank you Musica, Seika and Lord Hyuuga. We will not fail you and will help Arashi heal. We will be needing all of your help I'm sure, but for now we must speak with the leaders of the divisions to get a better understanding of all of the villages mechanics. Musica I belive you'll be able to help us with KPD?" Seo would jump right into getting things started while Hotaru would take a moment to truly take it all in. From small beginnings to becoming the Arashikage. He couldn't imagine this day would have ever come. For once he was going to take things more seriously and be the leader that he always looked up to when he was a kid. 'Awesome.' Would be all he thought to himself.
