[PRP] After so long (Garok/Ro'kuna)

It'd been days since he'd been brought back home and his rump hadn't left he and his mate's den, covered in medicated leaves and goo that had been grounded from herbs and the waters of the main shaman's den. But even with being hurt, being told to stay still and 'recover', Garok found it dull and boring to some extent....but...

It didn't matter. He could suffer the agony of boredom. He was home, he was content, he was battered and bruised but he reluctantly accepted his place, not for himself but for Ro's sake. He would stand it all for her.

Even if he was currently licking a part of his paw that wasn't covered by leaves and listening to sound of the pride outside of the den, it'd been so long since he'd listened to it.

The days past had brought relief and joy that she hadn't found the time to express. The pride was in a state of both celebration and unease, finding the Warchief, but also finding him badly injured. It wasn't anything Ro'kuna couldn't handle, wounds could be mended and mistakes forgiven. The rest of the pride simply had forgotten themselves, and more than once she had to send a peon drunk off fermented fruit juice to the higher up for reprimanding.

While her duties were still priority, she longed for a moment of freedom. All she'd been able to exchange with her mate were comforting headbumps and whispers of how he's going to be alright. It was nonstop that she worked to make sure that their medicinal reserves were kept full, and with how worried she was about him...

Thankfully, an afternoon came where she felt she could breathe. Where she was ushered by several to take a break. Escorted to the entrance to her den, and assured that nothing, come hell or high water, would bother them.

"You keep licking yourself you're going to get bald patches, Warchief of mine." Ro chuckled as she walked up to the hulking lump that was her mate, leaning in to offer him another gentle headbump. "Feeling any better?"

When his mate and most trusted Farseer entered the den he had to simply huff at the bald patch comment like an impatient adolescent before he gently returned the bump of his own large skull to the lioness' shoulder. A loud rumble shaking his frame as he lay there.

"Much better with you being here," He replied with a small smile on his muzzle before forcing himself to sit pain or not he wasn't about to disrespect his other half and watched her curiously. "Sounds like you have your paws full though, so I feel more than a little useless...'healing' or not."
