New Years Rewards
Back in SN, the crew gave everyone in the guild a reward for New Years of 10 chakra or stamina, 1 formless slot, or 100 ryo per month for 2018, predicated on people checking in monthly to claim things. Since the guild no longer has access to the check in thread, we no longer have a way for people to claim these rewards - rewards which they probably should have just been given outright to begin with. Considering that, we see no reason not to allow the people currently RPing in the guild to claim these rewards in full now. As we cannot verify the integrity of this process, this is extended to every current member that wishes to claim it, and every character that was transferred from the old guild, you need only list New Years 2018 Rewards followed by a total of 12 of the rewards listed at the start of this update. For example: 60 chakra, 40 stamina, 100 ryo, and 1 formless slot would be equal to the 12 months of rewards originally promised.

Update: 5/26/18
Body and Title Ranks SR's new, slightly tweaked version of Body and Title Ranks is now live in the guild. We've chosen these requirements to boost interaction with parts of the guild that we would like people engaging with more, and also to reign in the tendency for people to use their biggest jutsu up front and deplete their characters' resources before things really get rolling in fights and on missions. You'll notice that jutsu access no longer ranks 1 to 1 with body rank, and that body ranks now have mission requirements attached to them. This is designed to allow us to continue to reward AC through events and arcs without auto-leveling lower tier characters past a point that's reasonable at the average RPer's pace, while also not slowing down people who primarily attack leveling their character through missions.
You'll also notice that Title Ranks have been stripped of any guild system ties, and that they're a little more loosely defined in general. Since Title Ranks are handed out by other RPers in RP, it didn't feel fair to us to lock things like access to jutsu and missions behind them. Instead they'll be treated like roles, where the title rank indicates the role a ninja is allowed to take on in their village, and what's expected of them. This will allow people more freedom to RP as their characters, since being strong and holding a high tier title, with its added expectations, is no longer a requirement if you don't want to have to get permission just to learn your jutsu.

Update: 9/10/18
Missions!
Hey guys, time for me to announce my first project since becoming head of the Story Department! So, the first thing I wanted to take a crack at was missions. I have always felt that the current missions we have were a little "meh!' I mean, how many times can we catch the bandits or clean graffiti? So I am happy to announce that I, along with the rest of the Story Division, will be crafting new missions for you guys! We also have some things to put out immediately! I have broken them down into four categories:
1. General Missions These are the ones we all know (and love?) like the back of our hands. These are the missions posted in the guild-wide list that anyone can go and do. Honestly, this section needs some love so aside from the increase in available General Missions going live shortly we will be continuing to expand the list as the world of SR Changes- periodically adding and replacing some that we feel do not reflect the state of the world anymore.
2. Arc Missions These are the interesting ones- Halloween Arcs, Bijuu Hunts, we've all been there. Arc Missions are longer, tougher but have a MUCH higher impact on the world at large. These are the missions that will have long-standing repercussions for both your RPC and your village as a reflection of yourself. These are the missions that can make, or break, your RPC. Arc Missions will be fewer and further between due to the complexity and longevity of these missions. Don't worry though! You won't miss out on any, as we will clearly state when any goes live. Stay tuned for these exciting additions to the roster.
3. Personal Missions My ABSOLUTE favorite, and if you've ever RP'd with me you know this because I have probably given them out to you. This has actually been a standing rule we have had before, but not many people have known about. If you would like a mission created solely for your RPC or to advance your personal narrative, reach out to the Story Team. We will quickly whip up a mission tailored just for you and play any NPC's you need to see it through. The mission can be up to one rank above your RPC's body rank so get to thinking on some cool things you wanna do!
4. Event Missions And, finally, we are here to Event Missions! These are a brand new concept for SR. Essentially, these are a hybrid between General Missions and Arc Missions- a sort of halfway point. They are tougher than General Missions but shorter than Arc Missions. In fact, Event Missions even have a real life time limit! The actions taken during Event Missions will be remembered and reflected in the Guild's ongoing story, as will the actions not taken! So, if an Event Mission is not accepted in the time limit then it will fade and the thing you were trying to stop will continue on in the world of SR. In fact, the first one is going up tonight, so hop to it if you want to be the first to claim a unique Event Mission reward!

Demon Villages
The Bijuu are no longer assigned by village so jinchuuriki are able to join any village they choose or go rogue based on the character's desire. This may change in the future and mods may return to regulating where demons are assigned. This update is an attempt to promote player choice.

No More Bloodline Applications
You no longer need to apply for bloodlines when you make new characters. Just submit the profile and your name will go on the list upon approval!

Replenishment System Increase
The maximum amount of advancement credits that characters can claim from the replenishment system has been increased from 7,500 AC to now 25,000 AC. Feel free to claim 25,000 AC from an old character if they had 50,000 AC or more. If you used replenishment recently then feel free to claim more AC for your character based on the new numbers.

Modification to the Ninjutsu and Bloodline Class
Ninjutsu's Genius Keystone Discipline now reads: "Genius Keystone: You receive an additional 5 custom technique slots to be used only on your maruton or elemental ninjutsu. Additionally, you may create a "keystone" technique; this technique is essentially a Ninjutsu ninja's signature move, with power, aesthetic flair and versatility similar to a technique such as Kamui. In addition, you are able to use your third activation for any ninjutsu, whether it is offensive or defensive, once every two turns. This discipline may not be taken in conjunction with another Keystone Discipline."
Bloodline's Keystone Discipline now reads: "Keystone: You receive an additional 5 custom technique slots to be used only on bloodline and bloodline-related techniques. Additionally, you may create a "keystone" technique; this technique is essentially a Bloodline ninja's signature move, with power and versatility similar to a technique such as Kamui. This technique must be submitted as a custom jutsu and approved. It also does not take a custom jutsu slot. In addition, you are able to use your third activation for any Bloodline Jutsu, whether it is offensive or defensive, once every two turns. This discipline may not be taken in conjunction with another Keystone Discipline."
Please take the time to look them over. If this change affects your character and you wish to re-spec your character, Crew understands and will allow one free re-spec to that character. If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you!

Unused Bloodlines Removed
The following unused bloodlines have been removed from the lists and archived in the crew quarters for reworks or future ideas:
1. Seiton (Rust Release) 2. Kuton (Void Release) 3. Hakemoto 4. Tenkei 5. Douka
If you have questions or concerns please direct them to our PR team or the appropriate input channels. These bloodlines are not permanently deleted and may return in the future.

Jack Class Buff
The Jack class was given some love to thusly give more love and variety to those who don't want to flex their 'superior' genes. Additionally for those without bloodlines, among the bloodlineless packages you'll find something to tickle that desire to do away with that smelly welly upper crust and be rewarded for the sweat of your brow.

Bloodless Kin & Sakkakugan Change
There's been a new change to the Bloodline Class' Discipline "Bloodless Kin." It is a partial nerf but more or less the Discipline is pretty much the same as it was before. Any references to Bloodless Kin in other threads or other places will be phased out in time (if they exist). Any changes needed for your profile will be a free change/re-spec if this affects you in any kind of way.
TL;DR for the lazy ones in all of us: Dual Ancestry is a more streamlined explanation of Bloodless Kin. It was slightly nerfed in that Bloodline users who use this cannot acquire Implants through the Genetic Palette PA anymore.
In other news: Sakkakugan was changed to users of the Bloodline can learn up to 2 Styles max, either 2 Tai/Buki or 1 of each. Additionally, the implant of the aforementioned bloodline has been Nerfed to being limited only those with the Genjutsu Class and implanting the Bloodline makes the user lose 2 Slots to their styles. Those implanted without the class prior to this change will have the bloodline rendered inert, however this implant no longer counts to the character.

Kinmukugone
The Kinmukugan has been archived and taken out of the dojutsu list for the time being. Despite how it has some good ideas, we felt that it was too out of date with the guild's systems overall. It may return with a big rework in the future though.

Origami no Dara & Uzumaki Optional PAs
Some slight changes to Origami no Dara and the Uzumaki clan PAs Natural Born Sealer & Kitsune's Wit.
• Natural Born Sealer: Gain Access to restricted sealing techniques as if you were a sealer, if sealer is one of your classes gain the benefits as if you had multi-classed as a double sealer for purposes of learning techniques.
• Kitsune's Wit: Uzumaki ninja are able to access fuuin techniques as though they were a single fuuin class, giving access to [Restricted] techniques of the Fuuin Jutsu list. If sealer is one of your classes, gain the benefits as if you had multi-classed as a double sealer for purposes of learning techniques.
Applied changes are Italics for sake of convenience. Slight nerf and a clarification made to these PAs are the summary of this small update.

Body and Title Rank Separation
The mod team has decided that we will make all efforts to completely separate body rank from title rank to give all of you as much freedom as possible to advance your characters and their journeys through the story as you see fit (shoutout to all those S-Rank genin!). As a result, we have removed the mission completion qualification from the body ranks and placed them on the title ranks. Now you only need to get the right amount of AC for your character to become physically stronger and advance to the next body rank, but you still need to do those missions for more village responsibility, honor, and glory.

Variable Rank Update
Also! Everyone with a custom jutsu make sure to take a look at the new variable ranks and readjust your points accordingly! The new variable rules are as follows: "Variable X-rank techniques are broken into two instances for determining their cost E-B & B-S+. Having the variable stay within one of those two parameters will only have the custom cost [1] Custom Point. A variable technique that covers the ranks E-S+ will cost [2] Custom Points. " Also also! The following jutsu have been hotfixed so go on and take a look at them and if you decide you don't like them anymore feel free to remove them and pick up another for free at a 1 to 1 rate! Cross-Class Implementation
The long awaited winner of the long overdue member appreciation event known as {Cross-Classing} has finally been implemented no longer does one need to be specialized in a certain class to reap some juicy benefit. It is highly advised you check these new listings and see what your newfound class combos yield you. Additionally some of you who have specialized may notice that your specialization may have received some buff.

Academy Graduation PA
Now you get 1 PA from graduating from the academy that no longer needs to be academy-themed and can be anything you want that is approvable. If you want to change your character's academy PA then feel free to resubmit.

Swarming Activations
Balancing and Clarifications, Some more in depth explanations of how one deals with certain scenarios and the strengths and limitations of certain things have been clarified. You now find in the {Technique Information} thread more detailed explanations in regards to -Sustains, -Activations and Additional Activations, and Collisions. You will also find Clarifications and a more hardened system when it comes to dealing with multiple attacks and activations in the {General Guild Rules} sub-forum updating the exacts of how to counter multiple attacks and attacks that involve multiple entities. Links to the Systems with deeper detail to them are now available in {Technique Information} to allow more streamlined viewing of these systems.
