6/30/19 Update

We have introduced a new system that expands on the narrative missions called Endgame. This system allows for S+ characters to use exclusively narrative missions to develop their stories and unlock additional rewards for 25,000 advancement credits each. While standard missions no longer grant experience to S+ characters, they can still benefit from narrative growth. This is to encourage the continued story development of characters who have reached the "end" of their advancement. High ranked characters are also encouraged to develop story with others of lower rank in their village and faction. There are no limits to where you can take your character with enough dedication to their story. There also nothing standing in your way from reaching this point as well. Read more here.

07/05/19 Update

The Storm Release (Ranton) bloodline has gotten an update with three new supercharged optional PAs, more distinct bloodline lore as the Arashi Clan, updated formatting, and a glorious S+ technique. They have also been updated in the implant system.

Rinnegone Update 07/17/19

The Rinnegan has been officially removed from the dojutsu bloodline list and the implant system for balancing. Now there are three great dojutsu remaining that are all equal in strength with evolutions. Those are the Uchiha, Hyuuga, and Kurama clans. The Rinnegan was removed from the world by the goddess Evergreen after Sandayu's defeat but might make a return for story NPC usage with further divine intervention in the future. All users of the Rinnegan are being appropriately compensated based on past conversations with me. Just show me the receipts from those conversations and list them as "Rinnegan compensation" claims on the profiles. I apologize for any inconvenience from archiving the Rinnegan but it should not have been added by the previous mod team in the first place. Thank you as always!

Discord Server Update 07/19/19

Thank you to Kanzaki for helping us organize our Discord server and also for adding a ton of new server features as described below. All members are encouraged to join our Discord server if you have not already because high participation in the chats can yield in RP benefits for your characters through the server economy. Poor behavior in the server results in a warning from the crew or a server kick/ban from the captain for generally annoying me with passive aggression, negativity, and/or rudeness. This can result in loss of privileges and possible in RP benefits for chatting.

Changes to Discord:

The welcome channel is gone, no automated messages when people join.
New members will automatically have Academy Student role.
Rules is now Rules-and-Roles, which has a brief breakdown and description, links to gaia pages.

The Ninja Ranks Roles work the same way as they do in the guild. This is not your RPC's rank; it's yours. By being active on the server, you earn ryo which you can use to rank up. Ranking up is an item you have to buy and use, so don't ask mods to just give it to you. The amount of ryo needed mirrors the RPC body rank requirements. Kages have an exclusive text and voice chat, a sort of cool kids club. Once you reach kage, you have access to the same Endgame shop that a S+ rank RPC does. This is essentially FREE STUFF for NO POSTS so BE ACTIVE kinda thing.

Kogarashi World War Arc Phase III Completed 07/22/19

The third and final phase of the Kogarashi World War Arc has been written and added to the SR lore. I included as many RPC names for contributing to the finale as possible but if your name is missing or you want me to consider editing then please let me know as my memory is not perfect. The timeskip will be a half decade of peace following Kogarashi's defeat and will be announced by the 27th at the latest.

The Genjutsu Renaissance Update 07/24/19

The base genjutsu system by Lanfaer of the Six Senses and Four Categories of genjutsu has been retained but clarified and greatly expanded on in SR's first massive genjutsu update.

Genjutsu Patch Notes:

1. A realism mechanic.
2. A mental stress mental status effect. Thanks to Reiko for giving me that idea.
3. An insanity mental status effect. Thanks to Eva for that *crazy* idea.
4. A four-tiered pain release system that Necro helped me a lot with.
5. Clarification on durations and upkeep of genjutsu.
6. Clarification on how multiple targets are selected.
7. Completely recoded and reformatted to fit SR's sick aesthetic.
8. The kai technique was clarified.
9. The Uchiha genjutsu were updated.
10. The illusory category was reworked and gained new techniques that focus on underused senses.
11. The enchantment category was reworked with help from Kondo and also gained new techniques that focus on underused senses.
12. The instance category was reworked and gained techniques that were reassigned from the enchantment and illusory categories.
13. The chain category was reworked and techniques were added to every rank and the list was completed with help from Mattysandwich.
14. Genjutsu class has brand new disciplines! They are Lasting Hypnosis, Master of Deception, and Unbreakable mind.
15. New genjutsu class specialization and cross class perks!
16. The genjutsu turtle Isobu was updated.

Good News Everyone!

The Career Profession, Teacher now offers a brand new ability! Teachers of the Ninjutsu Expert, CQC Expert, Genjutsu Expert and Advanced Jutsu Expert branches who have obtained professor title are able to teach what are known as "Secret Arts". By paying 2 custom points, the user may create a technique list for the given ninja art or style ( broken into 3 stages ) and submit them collectively to the Custom Technique Approval Forum. Once approved, the Professor may learn these arts then continue to teach them to others. When a student learns the techniques of the Secret Art, they must also pay 2 custom points.

This hopefully breeds some diversity and makes some interesting stylized fighting for all you out there!

Roleplay Character Rules Update 07/31/19

Some minor tweaks to the RPC rules and a rule addition were updated.

Before:

• No RPCs that specifically copy characters from any anime, Naruto included, may be made.
• No RPC may use images of canonical Naruto characters as a guild representation.
• You can have an upward of [4] role playing characters at any point in time.
• Unless stated otherwise, you may only create human character. Some exceptions may be made regarding specific circumstances, which can be reviewed during the approval process.
• You cannot RP with your character until at least its profile has been approved.
• Your characters cannot interact in a way that benefits each other, including but not limited to: trading of custom weapons, teaching of techniques including customs and transferable bloodline jutsu, trading of ryo, arc/event or mission rewards and crafting resources, trading of purchased items, trading of restricted scrolls and sealed techniques, transferal / creation of curse marks and implantable materials (or receiving these items from your own RPCs through any other party).
• Your character cannot use weapons that can't be justified for use with in the Naruto canon, on which SR is based. That means no running around with an assault rifle, or piloting a mecha.
• All characters start at D-rank body; those within villages start at the title rank of Genin.

After:

• You cannot RP your character in a combat scenario until at least its profile has been approved. However, you can post before approval for social scenarios.
• Your characters cannot interact in a way that benefits each other, including but not limited to: trading of custom weapons, teaching of techniques including customs and transferable bloodline jutsu, trading of ryo, arc/event or mission rewards and crafting resources, trading of purchased items, trading of restricted scrolls and sealed techniques, transferal / creation of curse marks and implantable materials (or receiving these items from your own RPCs through any other party).
• Your character cannot use weapons that can't be justified for use within the Naruto canon, on which SR is based. That means no running around with an assault rifle, or piloting a mecha.
• All characters unless replenished start at D-rank body. Those within villages can start at E-rank body if an academy student. The title rank of Genin is the maximum title rank that can be bestowed upon a new character.
