XP, Shinobi Missions, and Reputation Update 11/09/19
The XP system, shinobi missions, and reputation system have been added. XP replaces AC and the formula for switching your AC to XP is below. Shinobi missions replaces the village and rogue mission lists. Reputation is a brand new system and you can qualify for reputation points for past missions by posting here.

How to convert your AC to XP. Don't worry, you'll still have the same body rank!

Step 1. Choose your body rank's XP requirement from the new system.
Step 2. Determine what percentage you were over the AC body rank requirement in the old system by subtracting the excess AC from the requirement for your body rank.
Step 3. Take that percentage and apply it to your body rank's XP requirement.
Step 4. Add whatever that percentage number is to your XP and you're done.

For example, if you had 55,000 AC and were A-Rank body in the old system then 2,000 XP is your new body rank. 5,000 AC is 10% higher than 50,000 AC. 200 XP is 10% of 2,000 XP so your new number is 2,200 XP. 2,200 XP would be equivalent to 55,000 AC.

New Guild Rule & Third Class Edit 12/21/19
The mod team has voted to add a new combat regulation to the General Guild Rules regarding chakra and stamina cost reductions:

• A technique's chakra and stamina cost can only be reduced by up to one rank. No matter how many sources of cost reduction a character has they cannot reduce the cost of a technique beyond this absolute cap of minus one rank. Also, no technique can cost less than 5 in chakra and stamina.

We have also voted to remove the no medical, scholar, and puppeteer restriction on the third class endgame reward in the experience system because we determined that it was not a necessary restriction post-implementation.

Stats Patch 12/21/19

We are now beginning the process of phasing Descriptive Ranks (DR) out of the guild and replacing it with the new stats system. All profiles that have already been submitted can be approved for using DR but all profiles in the process of being submitted should use the new stats in the new profile skeleton. Characters currently in combat situations may continue using DR until that scenario ends.

We kindly request your patience during this transition and that you take as much time as you need to familiarize yourselves with the changes. Please give us a few days for the first round of technique edits. If you use a technique that has not yet been updated then a good rule of thumb (but not absolute) is that a moderate DR increase is equal to a 1 point stat increase (usually in E-C rank techniques) and a supreme DR increase is equal to a 2 point stat increase (usually in B-S+ rank techniques). Mastering the third stage of a style gives you 1 stat point and mastering the sixth stage gives you 2 stat points. 2 stat points is usually equal to a rank like a supreme increase was in DR. The new stats are called strength, speed, agility (formerly reflex), and endurance (formerly fortitude).

Tonight's patch is all stat-related items that have been in the previews. Stat system, armor, dodge/block, eight gates, reiken, dedicated disciple/master of many, combat medic, forbidden seals (including other changes), sage system (including other changes), demon system, melee marionette, tai disciplines, buki disciplines, poison and status, and bloodline sages.

New Guild Rule Update: Maximum Chakra and Stamina Pools 12/25/19

• There are many ways to increase an RPC's chakra and stamina pools beyond class and experience boosts such as through personal attributes, event rewards, and endgame. However, the absolute maximum resource pool amount that any RPC can have is 5,000 and this can never be exceeded.

New Guild Rule Update: Topics Open 12/30/19

• The Zaishin City Topic and Land of Iron topics are now open to Samurai rpcs. At this time the only samurai rpcs permitted are the ones which already existed. This means that the lock on the five samurai clans are still in effect.

December Bloodline Patch [ Dust, Inuzuka, Steel, Uzumaki ] 12/31/19
Happy new year! As our final update of this busy year, we introduce our first in a series of bloodline patches. Dust, Inuzuka, Steel, and Uzumaki are now available. The old versions are posted in the crew archive. Hojo will be coming soon and is undergoing more review. We apologize for any inconvenience from this Hojo delay. If you want to switch to or away from any of these updated bloodlines then you are granted a free respec to do so and this will be a guarantee with all future bloodline patches.

The formatting and power level of these bloodlines will match what is to come. Our goal for next year is for all of our bloodlines to be revamped with about five per month in 2020. Our big systems updates will also be slowing for some time.

January Bloodline Patch 02/02/20

We apologize that it is a couple of days late, but we hope the January bloodline patch is worth it. Nine bloodlines have been revamped along with a boosted bloodline class, specifically the dual ancestry and blood knight disciplines. As always, if you are of the bloodline class or any of these updated bloodlines and do not like the changes then you are given a free respec to change your RPC. Thank you to Matty, Eva, Necro, and Kondo for your bloodline revamp submissions and to Haz for spearheading the balancing review process. We are now beginning our work for the February bloodline patch which we are shooting to have out by the 29th. Our goal is to finish updating all of the bloodlines this year with a priority system based on your votes. We hope you enjoy this patch!

Apologies for the two-month delay since our previous bloodline patch. We hope this one was worth the wait. All characters with these bloodlines or implants are entitled to a free profile respec. May Bloodline Patch 5/22/20
After six months of patching the bloodlines to match the new systems, we have finally completed all of them with the goal of making every bloodline powerful, unique, applicable to a wider variety of playstyles, and worth using. If one of your bloodlines has been changed then you will be given a free respec. Additionally, you can switch to one of these bloodlines for a free respec if you so choose. Note that if you have bakuton that you must choose between Explosive Clay Art (requires doton) or ignition release (requires katon). As usual, the implant system has been updated and the new bloodlines have been added to our Proboards backup. Crafting Update 06/01/20

The crafting update by Evanescently Magnificent has been implemented! There are some of the features:

1. Worker class has been removed and replaced by a worker profession. All worker class characters must switch classes but are entitled to a free respec and get an automatic worker profession title advancement depending on your worker's body rank. D-C rank for apprentice craftsman, B rank for journeyman craftsman, A rank for expert craftsman, and S-S+ rank for master craftsman.
2. No more kits.
3. The paragraph requirements for crafting title advancement have been cut in half and are more modular.
4. Crafting branches are more widely accessible.

Demons Revamp & Demons, Sage, Forbidden Seal, and Golden Dragon Guide Update 06/14/20

All nine demons have been revamped to the new systems. Stay active because some demons may be available to applications soon!

A new guide has been written into the guild rules explaining the lore and balancing interactions between demons, sages, forbidden seals, and golden dragons. The main rule change is that in many cases your character can have more than one but the catch is that you cannot mix them together or use them in the same battle. The moderators are also committed to making sure that these special assets are widely distributed among members and not hoarded.

Sages, forbidden seals, golden dragons, and bloodline sages and curses have also been adjusted in stats and rules to reflect the new guide.

Personal Attributes Guide Update 06/20/20

The old personal attributes guide in the general guild rules topic has been removed and replaced by the personal attributes system thread in the guild systems subforum. The new system maintains the traditional structure of the PAs we all know and love with rules that are updated to the current guild systems. This will not require extensive profile updating. You are encouraged to resubmit PAs that are exceptionally outdated to the profile approval thread but there is no hurry to do so. Please familiarize yourself with the new rules and let the mods know if you have any questions or concerns.
