Careers Update & Monster Listing 07/09/20

My gift to you all: the Careers update. Please note that the entirety of the religion career was done by Ephemeral Ozymandias. This update also features a brand new career, Monster Hunter, which was Kondo's passion project. In addition, it refers to a monster listing, which was created by Kondo and Rei.

Jutsu Training Removal Update 07/17/20

By unanimous moderator agreement, the paragraph-based training system is being removed from the guild entirely. This means that you can add any techniques that your character is capable of learning without having to write any training paragraphs effective immediately. All of your training coupons may be exchanged for other endgame rewards with the exception of the third class. We request the SR community's continued patience as we phase jutsu training out of the guild. Technique training information has been removed from the technique information forum and all mentions of training have been removed from the classes. Note that special training circumstances like demon, sage, forbidden seal, eight gates, reiken no michi, etc training are remaining and this update applies solely to techniques.. This update is a process that is ongoing but we hope that you all enjoy this quality of life update.

Ninjutsu Disciplines Buff Update 07/17/20

I have buffed all three of the ninjutsu class disciplines. Elemental Savant has been updated to Harsh Elementalist. Ninjutsu Specialist has been updated to Elemental Mastery. Genius Keystone has been updated to Genius Keystone (lol). The disciplines have all of the same abilities and functions that they had before but with more. If you are of the ninjutsu class then you are entitled to a free respec or if you want to change to the ninjutsu class for this update then you also receive a free respec. Only the disciplines have been updated to be more on-par with the disciplines of the other classes. I hope you ninbois enjoy!

Maximum Number of RPCs Update 07/27/20

We have updated the rule that had the maximum as [5] to [10] RPCs:

• You can have a maximum of [10] role playing characters (RPCs) at any point in time.

Hozuki & Sensory Updates 08/02/20

There is a new bloodline addition that has been restored from the old and previously removed Douka (assimilation) clan called Hozuki by Necro. That bloodline can be found here.

The sensory techniques have been overhauled by Time with new technique additions and updates to optimize the existing techniques. Since the list is much more fleshed out you will find that sensory techniques have their own listing and have been moved out of the maruton thread. Read more here.

Sharingan Blindness & Mangekyo Training Paragraphs Update 08/11/20

As promised, edits have been made for how the sharingan handles blindness to make it less punitive and more efficient with our current blindness status effect system. The amount of paragraphs required for obtaining the mangekyo sharingan and the eternal mangekyo sharingan have also been lowered. The bloodline and the implant system have been adjusted to reflect these changes. A special thanks to Brooy for his excellent input that was reviewed and implemented by me. My apologies for the delay as these edits have been a long time coming.

Seven Swords Update 11/08/20

The long-awaited seven swords update has arrived! We have updated the seven swords system and each individual blade to the current systems. Each sword now uses the current stat system, have their own unique six-stage bukijutsu style, individualized special abilities, and grants its master powerful wielder attributes. The seven swords are awarded by kages based on merit and activity. Express your interest to them and you may be considered! For those who currently wield these blades, please enjoy and we hope they were worth the wait!

A special thanks to Kondo for his work on Samehada, Shibuki, Kabutowari, and Kiba and to Time for her instrumental work on the swords during the review process.

Performer Playstyle Rebirth Update 01/26/21

The performer class disciplines and cross-classes have been completely revamped by Eva. Thank you to Eva for the fantastic work giving the performer class a powerful and unique combat role. The performer class now goes beyond simply casting jutsu with an instrument and I am excited to see what kinds of characters you guys make with it. If you have a performer then you are entitled to a free respec.

We have also added a performer career created by Ichengo Angelus. The performer class banner is on the performer career as a placeholder until we get a new banner for the career. The performer career has instrumentalist, bard, dancer, actor, mime, magician, puppet theatre, and jester as branches to choose from. You do not need to be performer class to use this career.

Finally, the performer, medical, puppeteer, and tamer classes now have unique bonuses for pursuing relevant career professions. Check the bottom of each class's note section for details.

Fuuinjutsu and Scholar Updates 01/29/21

We have updated sealing to improve the experience of the sealer playstyle. Thank you so much to Time for leading this project. Here are the patch notes:

The Erudite Academic discipline has been changed to make combat use of fuuinjutsu more viable. Additionally, some of the scholar cross classes have been adjusted. For fuuinjutsu, some new jutsu have been added, especially the generic seal disable and seal break techniques.

There is a brand new status effect, Hex, that applies to seals as opposed to sensory which gets jamming. Scholar specialists, in their expertise, may learn as many restricted techniques as they wish, but single-classed scholars may only learn one restricted technique. Some more sealing techniques have been edited to restricted so please comb through your profiles if you've learned restricted sealing techniques.

Makimono Art and Origami Clan Update 02/06/21

There is a new bukijutsu style made by Time that uses scrolls, sealing, and ninja tools for a powerful weapon style that can be used by scholars and warriors alike called Makimono Art. Additionally, the origami bloodline's traits and PAs have been updated to implement the new style as well as other powerful abilities.

Jack Class Update 02/14/21

Brooy has updated the Jack Class to offer an 8 stat cap if specialized, slight buffs to the existing disciplines, and adjustments to the Jack cross classes. Thank you to Brooy for giving Jack class some love and as always Jack class characters are entitled to a free respec with this update.

Three New Bloodlines and One New Tai Style 02/28/21

Now that our guild updates are done the mod team are focused on adding in new content as promised. We have added in three brand new chakra manipulation bloodlines and one new taijutsu style:

Light Touch Style: A taijutsu style by Ave that focuses on soft strikes that are enhanced by chakra to devastating effects.
Junsei Clan: A bloodline by Time focused on iryojutsu and cellular manipulation.
Dokueki Clan: A bloodline by Ozy based on snake sages, petrification, and poison techniques.
Soukou Clan: A bloodline by Ave based on mastering armor.

Guild Announcement: Balance Patch - Customs and Crafting 04/05/21

Guidelines have been updated for customs. Beyond clarity in guidelines, a brief overview of related changes this patch:

- Armor system: clarity, collision
- Tier progression for custom techniques/keystones have been updated to match the way it works in other systems, you must review your customs to make sure they follow THIS tier progression.
- Crafting of medicine/poison/scroll summons rebalanced

[ Cease use of poisons, medicines, weapons, and armors until re-approved unless in combat from before update; do not enter new combat until approval. Even if you think they do not violate new guidelines, they need to be resubmitted. ]

You do not need to resubmit custom techs/keystones, just update to follow tier progression if necessary. You do not need to resubmit custom scroll summons, just update resource pools

New Bukijutsu Style: Kasa Yaiba 05/13/21

There is a new style on the third page of the bukijutsu listing created by Mattysandwich, Kasa Yaiba! This style focuses on using umbrellas in combat with a hidden blade, senbon, and shield for heavy melee combat and swift assassinations alike. This style has been unveiled with our newest village, Amegakure, in mind but the style can be used by anybody with an umbrella weapon. Enjoy!

Bloodline, Tai, and Buki Class Specializations and Tai/Buki Cross Class Tweaks Update 05/28/21

Some tweaks have been made to the bloodline, taijutsu, and bukijutsu class specializations as well as to the tai/buki cross class.

Bloodline specialization now reduces the resource cost of bloodline techniques by one rank instead of the lower cost reductions it had before. Everything else is the same. The goal here was to make bloodline specialization more enticing like the other class specializations.

The tai and buki class specializations now give the higher stat cap to both dedicated disciple and master of many rather than just dedicated disciples. Master of many also now gives six styles instead of three. Everything else is the same. The goal of this was to make master of many more appealing.

Finally, we have added a special ability to the tai/buki or buki/tai cross class. Now it allows for one buki and one tai technique to be self-korabo'd for one action instead of two with a three posts cooldown. Everything else is the same. The goal of this was to make this cross class as appealing as simply specializing in one or the other. Free respecs are given to anyone who was of these specializations or cross classes and wants to change.
