TRAIT Patient Ariel has the patience of a saint, especially considering his sister has no patience at all. Because he has dealt with her all of his life, he has grown accustomed to having to wait for people to be honest with him or for someone to calm down. Because of this he doesn’t easily lose his temper
TRAIT Kind-Hearted Ariel rarely holds grudges and tends to forgive people a bit to easily. He honestly believes that there is good in everyone. This does make him seem very naive.
TRAIT Gullible This boy will believe just about anything he is told. If he doesn’t have evidence to throw back at someone, then he will believe that he is being told the truth.
TRAIT Cultured Along with the different languages he has learned, Ariel made it a point to also learn about the cultures of the different places. He liked the idea of learning about the many different societies that he could communicate with.
TRAIT Observant Ariel likes to think that he is pretty good at reading people at least once he learns their tells. He can read his family as if they were open books but the only person he really confronts about their actions is his sister.

EARLY CHILDHOOD Ariel was born the youngest of the Nolan twins, to Alan Nolan, a Muggle Actor, and Natalie Aston-Nolan, a witch who worked as a small author. At Alan’s request the Twins were named after two characters from his favorite Shakespeare play, The Tempest. From a young age Ariel progressed quickly in school and showed an interest in different languages when he started learning French from his and Miranda’s primary school teacher. This prompted his parents to begin enrolling him in extra classes to learn more. By the age of 7 he was fluent in English, Chinese and French. He even began teaching them to his sister Miranda, as a way to bond with her. He never saw himself in competition with her, despite his sister's nature. Because of this the two were almost inseparable, Ariel would do his best to keep Miranda from fighting the world while Miranda would protect Ariel from any bullies.
Just as his parents began his newest language classes for German and Russian, he began showing signs of magic. Being frustrated in himself for being remember a specific phrase he ended up setting a curtain in his room on fire in his frustration. This obviously frightened the young boy, and that small fear stayed with him as his mother began helping him learn to control his magic. One night he confessed to his elder sister that he didn’t really want to learn magic because it scared him and because they would be separated. He had never been without his sister and he didn’t want to separate from her just because he had magic. When Miranda showed magic, he was probably more excited that their parents were.
SCHOOL YEARS
During Ariel's first year, he breezed through the year, and planned to start a language club in the beginning of his second year. He also ended up making a friend out of Charlotte Jenkins. In his second year, Ariel was one of the few people who didn't really participate in the large scale food fight, but he did make acquaintances out of his fellow Hufflepuffs, Nani and Desiree. This was also the year he founded the Hogwarts Language Club. In the summer of his third year, Ariel and his sister, Miranda, met a rather strange vampire named Harbinger. They were pretty interesting in Ariel's book, but thankfully he was able to keep Miranda from angering the Vampire and getting them killed. His fourth year though was rather uneventful. The most notable thing was that he inturupted a date between Desi and another student, though he didn't realized it until Desi told him so. He did feel a bit bad about that, at least until Desi told him she didn't care. His fifth year was spent mostly studying for his OWLs which he did fairly well on. His sixth year though that's when the dynamic between him and his sister began changing. Thanks to Harbie, Miranda slowly started trying to get along more with Ariel, which overjoyed the boy. He and his sister spent the year trying to get over the rift that had been between them. By their seventh year, things were definitely better between the twins. It wasn't perfect, but Miranda didn't seem to hate Ariel anymore, which to Ariel was a plus.
POST-GRADUATION Ariel ended up getting a job at Flourish and Blotts, working in the shop and also as a tutor for Flourish and Blotts. He and Miranda also moved out of their parents home. Ariel still contacts them and returns for holidays but he always does so alone. Ariel still keeps in contact with Harbinger and has been planning on asking the vampire to turn him as well, as in his mind, if he became a vampire he would be able to live longer and be able to gain more knowledge, something Ariel is obsessed with.

TRAIT Stubborn Miranda doesn’t back down from anyone once she has set herself to something. Even if someone has obvious evidence that her way of thinking is wrong or that she has incorrect information, the girl will almost always refuse to admit that she is wrong.
TRAIT Aggressive Miranda isn’t one to mince words or hold back her actions. If something makes her mad, she is going to say or do something about it. If someone insults her brother, they’ll probably end up with the other party getting a bruised ego or a bloody nose. She will explode to anything that angers her.
TRAIT Determined Her determination is just about as strong as her stubbornness and it pairs well together since she won’t stop until she has accomplished whatever goal she has set out for herself, be it making a higher grade than her brother on a test (which...doesn’t happen as often as she would like), to something simple like reading a whole book in one night. She doesn’t let things get in her way.
TRAIT Ambitious Simply put, Miranda wants to be the best for no other reason than to simply say she is better. Years of living in her twin brother’s shadow has made her strive to do better than him.
TRAIT Protective Once you’ve gotten close to Miranda she will stick up for you, the only person she is currently like this with is her younger twin brother(despite her undying need to be better than him). She doesn’t let people talk bad about people she cares about. If there is a situation where this happens she will retaliate, most likely with a fist or a cruel comment.

As the twins grew Miranda didn’t really come into her own all that well, she didn’t have any particular talents that stood out like her brother’s ability to comprehend languages, causing her to be pushed to the side by their parents. Because of this, she began to lash out. Getting into fights and becoming steadily more temperamental as time went on, especially if someone compared her to Ariel. Despite her anger, for some reason Miranda could never bring herself to hate her younger brother, who only seemed to want the best for her. She did continue to attempt to beat her brother in academic accomplishments in muggle schooling, and while she would get small victories she never could pass him. Even with her competitive nature, the two were almost inseparable, Ariel would do his best to keep Miranda from fighting the world while Miranda would protect Ariel from any bullies. When Ariel began showing signs of magic at age 8 but she didn’t she was distraught. Once again her parents seemed to focus on Ariel, especially their mother. Ariel confessed to his elder sister that his magic scared him and he didn’t want to train in magic without her even though she had yet to show any magic herself.
The next year, Miranda began exploding more at small things and would get angrier with their mother when she was chastised. One particular day, her mother asked Miranda why she couldn’t be more like Ariel. Miranda snapped, in rage she began shouting at her mother and as she did objects in the room began floating around her as she showed her first signs of magic.
SCHOOL YEARS
To start, Miranda was grateful she had been sent to a house different from her twin brother, Ariel. She didn't make any friends in her first year, and the only thing of note that happened was her punching a second year Slytherin named Ceallachán Ó Madaidhín, after his attempt at flirting with her. Her second year went about the same, only this year she ended up meeting a fifth year Hufflepuff named Celeste Kinsley. Who she didn't immediately hate which was definitely progress for the angry girl. During the summer before her third year, Miranda got into a big fight with her mother, causing her to leave the house as she normal would in that situation, with Ariel following behind. That night they met a Vampire named Harbinger, who Miranda was immediately irritated by. Thanks to the quick thinking of her twin though, the twins did not die that night. During her fourth year, Miranda ended up punching Ariel in the face before returning to school, and also stopped showing up to help him with his club. Deepening the rift that had settled between the two. In her fifth year, Miranda dedicated most of her time to studying in an attempt to beat Ariel in test scores. Which was a futile effort. Though with the help of one Harbinger, she began to start thinking that the way her parents treated her, wasn't completely Ariel's fault. So in her sixth year, she made an effort to speak to him more, despite still holding onto some resentment for him. During her seventh year, she could tolerate Ariel more, and while not considering him a friend she couldn't say she hated him as she had previously.
POST-GRADUATION Miranda and Ariel ended up moving out of their parents house and into a flat once they had saved enough money. Miranda refused to return back to her childhood home and wouldn't even refer to her parents as family. She still gets angry with her brother and his endless optimism, they have definitely strengthened their bond.
