Ryuchi Cave | Snake Summons | Stat Cap: 6

Among the world's most feared and well-known summons, the Snakes of Ryūchi Cave have a history longer than any scroll could practically document, and an ego to match. Ages upon ages of conflict, both within their territory and without, has left them with few parallels beyond the Toads of Mt. Myōboku. They bow their heads to no one, save the elder snake Kei who presides over their territory's denizens, summoners included. Even the elder rarely remains unchallenged, though his brutal responses to dissent have served to effectively subdue many a would be usurper before an attempt is made. Contract signers will often find their influence less substantial than they'd hoped, with only exceptionally skilled and powerful shinobi, whom the snakes cannot overpower, truly enjoying a level, but somewhat cool, relationship. A summoner suited to the snakes will find a way to take advantage of their pride, using it to play the serpents into a false sense of security while they build a level of skill that makes them equally as formidable. Despite the tall task involved in gaining the summons' help, those with access to the Snakes have at their fingertips a formidable array of fighters. The Cave is the size of an entire hidden village, and for good reason as Hiryur and Ginda are not the only massive snakes who make this place their home, just the only ones who are summoned. Light only reaches to the top level: beyond that luminescence does only so much. Fighting for the snakes to respect you often requires surviving the hordes brutal tests as well as respecting and placating them all with promises and shows of strength.

Way of the Snake: A sinister aura born of pure corrupted chakra emanates from the user as they enter sage mode. Any who are capable of sensing the presence of the user, whether through sight, sound, doujutsu, chakra, etc, while in sage mode will feel a subtle sense of fear that loosens the nerve of friend and foe alike. Even those not having ophiophobia will find themselves developing it here and be unable to attack the snake sage directly. This effect may be relieved through the use of kai at one rank below the user's body rank, but will be reapplied at the start of the next post if the opponent is still within it's blanket aura of effect. The range of this effect is a blanket aura twenty feet in every direction.

                                ▰ Ayeka
                                Rank D | Chakra: 300 | Stamina: 300
                                Str: 1 | Spd: 1 | Agi: 1 | End: 1
Ayeka is a small Black Mamba no longer than the arm of the host. Though the smallest of the snake summons, Ayeka managed to make a name for herself as a better tracker and stalker than most of the other snakes. What she lacks in direct offensive capability she makes up for in utility and support. Among the snakes summons she is the least difficult to please, though she will often beleaguer being summoned at all and be critical of the host's decision making whenever possible. That said, Ayeka isn't particularly cranky at all.

                                Ability: Cold and Calculated
Ayeka is constantly observing the fight and relaying information to her summoner. It is thanks to this constant relay of information that Ayeka is able to assist the summoner, particularly in close combat battles, by share her stat bonuses with the summoner in the form of useful insights ( when to dodge, angle of punch, look out for that rock, etc ). Ayeka must be within speaking distance of the user to relay information, usually taking on the presence of being coiled around some part of their body. If these stats would increase one beyond their normal cap, then it is instead raised to 9 maximally. These bonuses are lost when Ayeka is knocked unconscious or is unsummoned.

Viper Sight | Rank: D | Cost Chakra
Pit Vipers have incredible senses of smell and are able to see the heat given off of living bodies. With a little bit of focus and chakra, Ayeka is able to enhance her natural heat senses to extend for half a mile out, being able to even sense heat through the walls of buildings and other, relatively thin and chakra free, materials. Though powerful, this technique is easily fooled by many kinds of ninjutsu, and a savvy summoner will work within its limitations to bring out its full potential. Lasts 3 posts.

Smell By Taste | Rank: D | Cost: Chakra
The snake can sense via "smell" and "taste" as well, capable of locating and relaying the information of anything with a scent within the area to the summoner. If getting a taste of the target's blood, then this effect is considered permanently able to track targets across all threads/topics.

Wound Hound | Rank: C | Cost: Chakra
If Ayeka is present within a five foot radius of a target that is wounded, she may pay the cost of this technique in order to quickly lash outwards to sink her fangs into the target and inject a special poison into their bodies. In addition to dealing it's own damage, the poison causes the summoners attack to inflict one tier higher in truama. If the summoners attack is not blocked then this one cannot be.

                                ▰ Hisoki
                                Rank C | Chakra: 600 | Stamina: 400
                                Str: 0 | Spd: 0 | Agi: 6 | End: 0
A Russel's viper about the size of a horse and twice as long, Hisoki manages to still maintain a rather imposing appearance even when not engaged in combat. While large and muscular, the snake prefers genjutsu to ninjutsu when stalking his prey, keeping keen eyes sharply centered on prey and often ignoring everything else, summoner included, while doing so. Once a target is given, it is incredibly difficult to make him switch targets as he has a one track mind and tends to tunnel vision on a single target. For this reason he is often easy to irritate when his focus is divided, and only speaks usually to confirm his prey, and to admonish interruptions.

                                Ability: Stalking Prey
Hisoki has a unique method of fighting as compared to other summons. The rather large snake is slow to actually move and hunt down prey, instead waiting for it's prey to wander within it's threat range, which in combat is anywhere so long as the snake is capable of seeing it's prey. This ability reduces the speed and agility of a single target by [ 2 ] points so long as Hisoki maintains sightline on the target. This effect is increased further by a [ 1 ] point reduction to each, for every post his genjutsu remains on the target.

                                Status Effect: None
Description: The target will have a genjutsu cast upon it by Hisoki that causes the target to perceive the summoner or it's allies as nonthreatening, while also masking the fact that it's body has had it's stats reduced, hiding that it is indeed the target of Stalking Prey at all. Lasts for three posts, affecting the target by touch and sight primarily, with sound being a secondary sense. The illusion is broken when the summoner, it's allies, or even Hisoki make a threatening action on the target. During this genjutsu, no target make make an any sort of activation ( other than kai ), defensive or otherwise, until either the summoner attacks or the gen is broken by others means. Hisoki is the only who is able to bypass this effect, as neither his trait nor his specific genjutsu listed here do not break it.

Description: This genjutsu focuses Hisoki's chakra on the target causing their body heat to rise, sweat to pour off of their body and heartbeat to increase. This comes alongside a feeling of anxiety within the target, making them likely to make irrational and brash decisions unless kai'd. As a side effect, this skill forces the target to only use either offensive or defensive activations so long as the genjutsu remains active.

Description: This skill makes the target lose one sense. The typical use is to rob the target of their sense of sight, hence the name, however this skill can rob any of the five natural senses from the target for up to two posts. Has a one post cooldown after usage.

                                ▰ Kagami
                                Rank B | Chakra: 800 | Stamina: 800
                                Str: 0 | Spd: 6 | Agi: 6 | End: 0
Kagami is a very proud, very loud Rattlesnake whom embodies independence. Size wise, she is the same size as Hisoki with an extra few feet where the rattle of her tail resides. She is possibly the most difficult of the Snake summons to truly befriend as she takes almost all who summon her as underlings who have greatly displeased her by summoning her at all. Despite this, when a summoner proves theirself strong enough not only to sign the contract but consider themselves her equal she becomes the most friendly. She enjoys mind games and torturing prey who find themselves trapped under her spell and doesn't hesitate to do the same to prospective partners who summon her as she relies on them for defense while she manipulates the minds of her enemies.

                                Ability: Rattle and Roll
Kagami's rattle places stacks of a genjutsu effect on enemies when it makes noise, causing both her, other snake summons, and her summoner to disappear from the sight of anyone who reaches 2 stacks during the following post. [ Ex. Post 1 gains stack > Post 2 gains stack > Post 3 Summons/Summoner become invisible ]. Because this ability is a genjutsu at it's base, it ignores the sensory abilities of doujutsu, such as the Sharingan and Byakugan, as well as traditional sensory techniques. It does not, however, mask the summons or summoner from their opponents' other primary senses.

                                Status Effect: None
Description: While the opponent is unable to see by the target via Rattle and Roll, this genjutsu layers on top of the ability several false phantoms of the summoner and his allies. This allows the target to hear double and triple of Kagami and his allies, as well as feeling damage from multiple angles of attack from them. As an added bonus, sensory techniques are fooled while this skill's three post timer persists.

Hearing the rattle at 3 stacks now causes the target to suffer crom both tier 2 [ vertigo ], as well as the [ deafness ] status effects until a kai equal to the strength of this ability is used.

                                Status Effect: None
Description: Any target with at least one stack of Rattle and Roll who can still hear the noise being produced by Kagami can be subject to this genjutsu, which makes it appear as though several dozen snakes are slithering on the periphery of their vision, closing in sneakily over the course of 3 posts, hissing as they duck into and out of sight as a means to distract and inflict paranoia. If the target reaches the fourth post of this genjutsu without having kai'd then regardless of what action they take the snakes will spring up and bite the afflicted, Injecting poison into their bloodstream before slithering off. This poison mimics the effects of a legendary poison, the effects of which may be whatever is chosen by the user. Resource draining effects will convince the target that they are indeed losing said resource, and should this effect not be broken out of by the time these resources 'run out' will cause the body to collapse as if the poison was real. To be clear, this imaginary legendary poison is treated as a second genjutsu that lasts until a separate A ranked kai is used.

                                ▰ Hiryur
                                Rank A | Chakra: 1000 | Stamina: 800
                                Str: 6 | Spd: 6 | Agi: 2 | End: 0
Hiryur is, without a doubt, the most aggressive and quick to anger of the Snakes. Standing at similar size to a building and with a head more like a dragon than a snake with hornlike protrusions at the side. The closest breed of snake to it, visually, is the King Cobra: he comes complete with the neck flaps that open when he enters combat. Summoners will find that Hiryur does what he pleases almost 100% of the time. He will take requests and orders with a similar level of rancor vocally while often still lending his aid. He's ornery and wrathful, but summoners who are polite and gracious tend to gather favor easier. Treat the Cobra like a King, as it were.

                                Ability: Disaster or Blessing
Hiryur is known among the Snakes as a particularly nasty individual, but also a valued one. His venom has powerful offensive effects, but can also be changed to aid. Getting caught inside of his poisonous effects can prove your undoing just as well as your... redoing. Even techniques currently on the field are changed when Hiryur switches from Disaster or Blessing and back again. All techniques are affected by these switches regardless of his desires. As an additional effect, Disaster stacks with every time Hiryur's attacks successfully strike a target. Once a target has been either hit or stricken by an attack five times, Hiryur can cause a target currently afflicted by his attacks to be stricken with tier four paralysis until otherwise removed with a medical technique. On the reverse side, Blessing stacks everytime a target is healed by or buffed by the King Cobra, and at five stacks Hiryur can create an S-ranked shield over a target. Note that stacks for either side can only be gained while Hiryur is in one mode or another and he may only change modes once every two posts. Once this change is used, it resets both Disaster and Blessing's stacks to zero.

Acid Spray | Rank: A | Cost: Chakra
This skill, obviously, fires a stream of acid at a target. During Disaster mode the acid eats its way through any and everything not protected by chakra like paper. Targets hit by this acid find themselves not only horribly burned, possibly completely eaten through, but also have their endurance reduced by [ 4 ] for 3 posts.

                                Dragon's Blood | Rank: A | Cost: Chakra
The blood of Hiryur is, itself, an entirely toxic substance. Once every three posts the great snake can create a poisonous mist all around it's body that is entirely red and once inhaled causes the strength and speed of the target to be reduced by [ 1 ] for each post they remain in the poison. Similarly, in Blessing mode this blood can boost the strength and speed of a target by [ 1 ] per post as well. This effect takes place for free should a target simply ingest the snake's blood within a post of it being spilled. Lasts for three posts.

                                Neurocloud | Rank: S | Cost: Chakra
This skill allows Hiryur to spit a projectile from his mouth that expands on contact into a 15 meter dome of gas. The gas isn't entirely opaque, capable of being fought within, as well as seen through, even though it is a shade of light purple. While in Disaster mode, targets that are hit by this poison have their agility reduced by [ 1 ]. In addition to this, the afflicted's eyes, nose, and throat burn as if an intense flame were were burning on them. Every post the target remains in the cloud, they lose another [ 1 ] point of agility and resets the four post duration. In Blessing mode, targets are cured of any one effect from a poison currently afflicting them and gain a [ 1 ] point agility boost. This doesn't stack like the negative does, but it does still grant a stack of Blessing per post a target is within the cloud. The cloud lasts until it is either blown away or the duration finally runs out. Wind techniques are a rank more effective on this cloud. Not that simply being in contact with the cloud is enough as it activates on contact.

                                ▰ Ginda
                                Rank S | Chakra: 1200 | Stamina: 1200
                                Str: 6 | Spd: 0 | Agi: 2 | End: 6
Ginda is a colossal Titan Boa, even larger than the name would have you believe. The Snake is large enough to coil twice around the S ranked Turtle summon Genbu, and once upon a time a story was told that the two of them together formed an unstoppable union of offense and defense. The likelihood of that tall tale bearing any truth is unlikely as the silver snake queen has no intention of working with anyone, summoner included. The only person who could summon Ginda and not be in massive danger of incurring her wrath after doing so is the Contract Holder themself, and even they tend to have to somehow appease, intimidate or outright defeat Ginda in combat first. After being tamed, she is still prickly and proud but less so, allowing the summoner to make requests of her and fighting at their side. The only ones who can even handle being in contact with Ginda are the Contract Holder and those capable of using sage mode. Others will find touching the snake dangerous due to her ability, and she uses this to stand head and shoulders over her fellow snakes.

                                Ability: Jormungand
This ability allows the massive Silver Titan Boa to work along side her summoner or at their behest against others. So long as Ginda comes into physical contact with anyone, corrupted natural chakra is forcibly pumped into their bodies and begins the perification process ( found in the sage system ) until this natural energy is cleansed. This works on other summons as well, as Ginda's ability poisons natural energy against them. What makes this alternative perification process truly terrifying however, is it's cleansing method and prowess in battling other sages. For in addition to petrifying an enemy, sages and curse mark users will find their natural chakra pool maximum reduced by 80 per post of contact. This reduction lasts either until the end of battle or until the targets pays the same amount of nature chakra to cleanse it. Chakra that is cleansed does not regenerate unless done so by another technique, meaning if Jimmy the sage touches Ginda, his max pool is now 1,420/1,420 instead of 1,500/1,500, he then pays the 80 nature chakra to open up thus making turning his pool into the following 1,340/1500.

Heavy Slam | Rank: S | Cost: Complex
Utilizing her massive strength to her utmost advantage, Ginda will charge up the physical power in her tail with chakra for however many posts she wishes. Doing so will grant this ability a [ 1 ] increase to both speed and strength for every post. Once she is ready, Ginda will then send the massive tail of hers downwards to cause pure destruction towards a targeted area. This skill is strong enough to send similarly sized summons flying a hundred feet back, as well as completely destroying the landscape in a 40 feet zone ahead of itself. Everything in that zone has to defend itself from the pressure wave the tail sends outward. Charging for a post does not consume an activation and can be do in addition to any of Ginda's other abilities.

Bunker Buster | Rank: S+ | Cost: Chakra
Ginda is capable of digging into the earth, deep enough that her presence is lost to all but the best of sensors before she rockets back towards the surface and breaks through below a target aiming to upend and destroy defenses while also flinging her own target's airborne. Everything within a 100-foot zone is sent skyward on the post after Ginda digs below the earth. It can also be done where there is water for similar results. Those in the zone are flung high enough that it takes two posts for them to come down again, and applying a weakened status effect on them. For six posts thereafter, all attacks to the target(s) deal a tier higher tiers in trauma than normal. If this effect would cause the tier to raise beyond stage four, then the amount that gets deducted in the initial phase of the attack ( not the amount lost over five posts ), is multiplied by 1.25. This weakened state lasts for six posts.

When Chie arrived at the cave, she wrapped her finger with a makeshift bandage in order to stop the bleeding. She was hesitant about entering the cave. The energy which emitted from it seemed evil. Nonetheless, she entered. The rattling and hissing of snakes crossed her ears, but her eyes saw nothing. It wasn’t until she got far from the entrance that she realized that she truly was not alone.

“Who crossssses our boundary?” A smooth voice, female in tone, spoke out to Chie. The woman did not see who was talking to her, but the voice sounded close. She knew better to seem afraid or alarmed. Instead she kept her composure and introduced herself. “I am Chie Saegahara. I was given the contract of the snakes in order to become the head of it. I was given this contract by Ayame Hatake.” She said sternly. There was more hissing and more rattling.

“What happened to our sssweet girl, Kya?” The woman’s voice asked. Chie started to sense where the voice came from as she moved toward the direction. “Kya is taking a break. I am now the one in charge.” Chie answered. Laughter now broke from the cave in all directions.

Suddenly, the ground moved beneath her. Chie felt herself move away as she applied chakra to the shifting ground. The floor beneath her became scales as she was propelled out of the cave. Chie lowered herself as the creature coiled wildly. Finally, a head emerged from the ground which belonged to a massive, almighty boa.

“My name issss Ginda. It is a pleasssure to meet you, little Chie.” The snake said. Her voice was powerful and her body was easily the size of a monster. Chie raised herself as she dusted herself off. She then noticed that something was wrong. The chakra which bound her to the snake seemed stuck as it was difficult to lift her shoes from her scales.

“What is this?” Chie asked alarmed. Ginda laughed as heaviness began to fill the bottom of Chie’s feet. “I apologize. Such thingsss happen when one touchessss me.” The giant snake respond. Chie was about to leap off of the snake, but as she began to move, she sensed the body of the snake move beneath her, as though anticipating to catch her midair. She realized that this snake had her trapped.

“Are you going to kill me, because I doubt that’ll work well for you.” Chie stated plainly. The numbness now went through her whole foot. Ginda laughed as her giant eyes descended upon the child. “Sweet Kya was not as fiessssty as you are. She knew inssstantly what I was trying to do.” Chie paused as she listened to the information. If the snake wasn’t trying to kill her, then why keep her in this situation? She pondered for a moment before she finally recognized what was occurring.

“This is nature chakra…” Chie said as her ankles started to numb. Ginda nodded with her giant head before she spoke. “A corrupted version of it, yessss.” The snake stated. “In order to break free of this challenge for the sage contract, you musssst exert chakra equal to the amount which bindsss you.” Ginda’s body moved as Chie felt herself lose her balance. She kept her chakra channeled so that she would not fall over.

“You bessst do it quickly, however.” Ginda added. Chie looked up at the snake and then nodded. She had to gather her chakra. No, not her chakra. Nature chakra was the force of life which a talented shinobi was able to draw and use for their own purposes. Could Chie perform such a task? As both of her legs became numb, she doubted that she had a choice. She had to draw that nature chakra now, or die trying.

Her hands formed together to form the tiger seal. She concentrated on the area around her. The rocks, the streams, the moss. All of it had a chakra, like a song that played in harmony with each other. Chie attuned herself to their sensation. It started slow, but she started to feel it channel within her. It’s power radiated in a wave of euphoria, which freed her legs as she immediately jumped from the snake. When she landed beside it, her arms had patches of scales, and her body radiated with natural chakra. The young woman looked back at the snake queen, and her eyes were slit as though she was a reptile.

“Little Chie, welcome to the nesssst.” Ginda said as she lowered her head in respect. Chie bowed back as she smiled. The massive snake lowered her head down to Chie’s level as the young woman passively pet the head of the creature. She laughed when the hundred foot head gently pushed against her as though she was an oversized dog. “I shall arrive when you sssummon me.” Ginda said. “As shall all of my sssweet children.”

“You honor me, Ginda.” Chie said humbly. Ginda moved away from the girl as she then sunk into the ground. The echoes of hissing and rattling from the cave ended as Chie took a moment to disarm her sage mode. Its power was incredible, but she knew that she would have to be careful with it. The power should not be used haphazardly.

With her sage training completed, Chie popped her own clone so that the information would return to the real Chie.

All jutsu learned are available to teach.

Passive Effects:
_☆ Korabo S-ranked
___○ Able to use Korabo up to A-ranked with herself.
_☆ Electric Resistance Training
___○ Negates harm from own lightning ninjutsu
_☆ Ninjutsu Alchemy
___○ This technique allows Chie to passively Korabo two jutsu together. The limitations of this are as such. First of all, the technique works passively only up to one rank below Chie's current Korabo level. This means that if Chie's Korabo level is A-ranked then it can only be used at a B-ranked potential, which means that Chie can only Korabo two B-ranked techniques to use the korabo skill at A-ranked. This assures that this benefit does not allow the user to passively perform techniques one rank higher than they can usually. Second of all, this technique only applies when Chie korabo's with herself. If she korabos with an ally or a clone then this benefit is non-applicable. Finally, an additional charge of 10 chakra per rank of the final product technique is required to be paid. So if the user Korabo two B-ranked techniques, (the user must also pay for each individual skill), then the final technique would be an A-ranked skill, and thus would cost 50 more chakra to perform this way. Overall this technique's only purpose is to make Chie more cool by utilizing all of her elements and having them combine into super cool ways like a wizard should.
_☆ Hidden Mist Vision
___○ Sees clearly during hidden mist technique, or mist in general.
_☆ Fire Resistance Training
___○ Negates harm from own fire ninjutsu
_☆ True Belief
___○ The user has meditated and trained long enough in this monk art to understand how important true belief is. By understanding the power of the spirit over the mind, and the mind over the body, the user has increased their stamina by sheer will power alone, as well as increased their toughness and durability. Increases Stamina by +25 for every style mastered.
_☆ Enlightenment
___○ Meditation and spiritual exploration and understand yields interesting results. Due to the greater understanding of the self, the user is more aware of the connection between their mind, body and spirit, and how to utilize that connection. The user is now slightly more skilled at just about everything. Striking, blocking, moving, absorbing, and taking damage. The user's strength and fortitude is increased heavily.
_☆ Impact Resistance
___○ The user acclimates to using the cestus in a battle setting by pounding away at a training dummy with the cestus. By analyzing the feedback of different forms of strikes, the user finds a way to minimize any damage they may take from their own strikes. Upon completing this training, the user suffers no recoil damage from techniques from any non-Rigorous Taijutsu or Bukijutsu Style up to either the highest trained rank in this Style or the highest trained rank in the Hard Physical Formless Style, whichever is lower, and does not suffer damage from striking anything harder than their fists.
_☆ Focal Point
___○ The user meditates through combat, taking time to narrow their focus to their Chakra pathways. In so doing, they become innately aware of when they are being observed in combat, and can pinpoint the locations of anyone below their rank observing them within one meter.
_☆ Thread Walking
___○ By using Chakra to focus the mind, the user becomes able to balance enough on thin platforms to use Bukijutsu techniques without any penalties. Covers only balancing on solid structures at least one inch wide, not moving or unstable structures. Also allows the user to balance and move on wires during its activation.
_☆ Advanced Thread Walking
___○ he user is now able to both run and fight while balancing on threads and wires without penalties, though doing these things at the same time is widely regarded as infeasible.
_☆ Blessed Rain
___○ The user's informed of the incoming costs of what is to come, and as such, must practice their chakra control through controlled bursts from various parts of their body. Their chakra pool is increased by +35.
_☆ Insight Rain
___○ The user will practice extending themselves into the atmosphere, in a sense. After much dedication, the user develops the ability to sense hostile intent in the immediate area. As to where, however, they cannot be sure.
_☆ Torrential Blessings
___○ Having completed all that the user may learn, they have but one task left to complete: the user must practice controlling the flow of chakra, and be sure that their control is the finest that it can be. By doing so, they must repeat the exercise performed earlier with Blessed Rain, all the while, they perform technique to the brink of exhaustion. This training receives no reductions. Chakra pool is increased by +65.
_☆ The Task of the Next Generation
___○ Upon the master of the school of Shigure Souen Ryu, it's the user's responsibility to develop the next generation! The user is granted one [1] custom slot usable only for a personal Shigure Souen technique.
_☆ Whirlwind Training
___○ The user trains to be better suited to dealing with the shock of landing and training the muscles of their legs and arms. This makes for faster movement and stronger kicks, raising the base level of the user's speed by one descriptive rank per learned stage of this Style. These descriptive ranks cannot be drained by the techniques in this Style.
_☆ Switchblade
___○ This is a training technique that teaches the user how to switch directions when landing a flip, allowing for one to flip backwards and then forwards and vice versa without a moment's hesitation. After this training is complete, the user may use up to one technique per post that would lower the descriptive ranks affecting their speed without suffering that reduction. If this Style is being learned as a rigorous Style, the user gains the ability to use Somersault to evade once per post without it consuming an activation, but only against opponents whose body rank is at or lower than the user’s. This Somersault cannot be immediately followed by an attack.
_☆ Perfecting Balance
___○ The user trains their body, pushing it to the extreme. After dealing with their own personal momentum and flow, the user works on balance. By training the body even more past their normal limits, the user's balance and endurance are increased, allowing them to run faster than the average person without losing their balance. Every Soft Physical Formless technique used confers one descriptive rank of speed to the user for the duration of the fight, and attempts to throw the user off-balance that are of a lower rank than the user’s highest trained rank in the Soft Physical Formless Style automatically fail to do so.
_☆ Advanced Whirlwind Training
___○ The user becomes one with their momentum, learning how to harness their body as an almost perfect machine. After completing this training, the user’s reflexes gain any and all bonuses afforded to their speed.

            Zahara
            Half-Blood Hyuuga

            ... I am the Serpent ...

          • Reality bent, warped and the umbral mass of chakra twisted in a large cavern dimly lit from far above, as the rolling sound akin to thunder rumbled through the air. Suddenly, a man with a large blade bandaged in white cloth was shunted out from this formless mass of energy as the rumbling booms was added to with the continual yell of a battle cry soon turned into shout of surprise.

Zahara was pulled between two spaces of the world through a portal which heaved the insides something fierce. The sudden transporation between two areas was... sudden as at one moment he been sensing corrupted energy from that of a portal gone entirely wrong... to bleak environment teaming with a chakra he couldn't recognize, yet had similarities to that of the portal if a bit less malevolent.

It was either that... Or it was the fact that the portal had shunted the Hyuuga out into open air some sixty feet in the air off the ground that careened toward a cavern floor. A sudden wave of panic was washing over him as he quickly came to realization of this as Zahara weaved his free hand through somantic gestures. s**t s**t s**t... The ground was coming fast but Zahara thought quickly and with the completion of his chakra, he held the same hand to his mouth and breathed out a gust of wind to the cavern floor. This slowed his descent rapidly enough while the explosive force of the wind itself created an impact crater, cracks webbing outward as he hit the ground with some considerable force.

"OOMPH!" Zahara grunted hard as he hit the shoulder and rolled off to the side as the Samehade fell still behind him and he used another wind technique to stop its descent entirely before letting the confused, chittering blade shriek its disapproval. It was a close call as he picked himself off the ground, dust shook off of his coat and he groaned in pain "Heh.. I'm sorry there buddy." He said to the sword, the Samehade still shrieking in clicks and chirps as it wobbled and squirmed all over the ground and as he bent down to pick the weapon up, he stopped.

His Byakugan was no longer active but he heard it before he saw them in the peripheral as he finally realized this wasn't a forest. Large stone walls composed of archs and tunnels with smoothed stone made up his immediete vicinity, sandy cave floors and strange local flora grew luminescent mushroom, vines and ivy clung to the walls. As did the skin of... something large as the tunnels themselves that were big enough to fit a house in.

"Holy s**t." Zahara whispered as he could hear down in the tunnels of something massive moving further away and in his sight was the skin of a reptile, of a snake specifically. He looked back at the Samehade as the blade was making quite the ruckus and he picked it up, hoisting it upon his shoulder and back across his back with the leather straps. The sensory symbiotic feedback he felt from his sword was there now as he felt the hunger of the sword but he was aware of chakra. Chakra everywhere. Worse off, his sword knew what it was but Zahara was completely ignorant.

The umbral chaka mass was still thundering above but was soon receding and in the center a white light glowed in its sea of black and he finally snapped his attention back to this strange portal. He remembered there was another person at the scene... and then the other who killed Kassandra. But Zahara stepped back, one arm nursing his bruised shoulder as he didn't expect what was to still come through.

It was cold, it longed to purpose, and it consumed everything it came into contact with. The void pulled and ripped, and siphoned everything into itself, but so to did it release, and upon the somber threshold Lohner quickly found himself as his mind fought for coherence and cohesive thought. His grip tightened on the wooden shield and the blade he clung to, his hair whipped around him in damn tendrils as the sudden shift between temperatures rapidly affected him. It cooled the humid air around him and on his flesh, and he felt a shiver to accompany that of the awkward chakra in this place. Dull thumps of wood and stone collapsed on the sand and stone floors shook throughout.

Lohner charged through the portal, his eyes adjusting quickly to the dim light on the opposite side as he broke through the umbra. The other Uzu shinobi had broken through as well and careened freely towards the ground ahead of him, using a well-timed gust of fuuton to stop himself. Lohner lifted his shield and pushed his chakra forward, with a well-timed curse the genin impacted the ground, particulate matter scattered around as his chakra natures combatted momentarily, and he clambered off of the ruins of his wooden shield, skin still damn, where dirt and sand didn't find purchase upon him.

At this moment he looked almost feral, disheveled. weapon in hand, and anger openly coursed throughout his very frame. An arm passed over his face and wiped dirt and spittle from his lips.

"Well, this is different. You know where we... What the hell?" He questioned, eyes set upon the snakeskin.

It was too large to be that of a normal beast, perhaps a wyvern or a drake. He questioned internally the purpose of drawing the men here, of the confrontation with the other Uzu shinobi, but everything he wondered came back to the assault on the village itself.

"I doubt we're getting back through that... Let us find a way out of here... Uhm." He halted, he realized he never knew just quite who this man was.

Malevolent chakra filled the cave as the portal closed behind the party. The unfortunate downside of using a portal was that it had now broadcast to every living being inside the cave that there was new blood here, and Zahara was out the only soul who could have safely conveyed that the two uzu shinobi was anything but a threat that needed extinguishing. It was going to take a miracle or some serious dumb luck on both their part if either desired to see the surface again.

This was only the beginning of their problems as well. Following not so far behind, and doing Zahara the incredibly disservice of simply dying in the portal somehow, came the hulking snake man. His thicc form tumbling against every inch of the stone lined wall on the way down. With a dusty thud the man landed about a hundred feet away from the two ninja but was otherwise unharmed. Looking over the the cave system with a calm and calculated expression the giant it seemed, had at last gotten his wish.

With the portal now fully closed the bioluminescence that light the upper most layer of the cave slowly faded out of existence. Like a candle being snuffed out from a lack of oxygen, and with this new darkness did there come a shifting intensity in the aura of chakra. Becoming so choking that even those not gifted with chakra sensing would feel it's presence, and those who were would find themselves blinded by it's coloration.

A shifting slithering could be heard throughout the Cavern but it's echo made it impossible to track. It's only indication that whatever beast was making the noise was actively moving closer to them was the feel of hot air on their faces, like standing near the open mouth of a giant. "Now what do we have here...?" Undeniably female, the voice spoke with the lazy tones that only the prideful could manage.

"GINDA!" From the darkness the snake man's voice was clear cut. "I've spent so long to get here.. Now it's finally time. I'm going to end you myself." The pressure shifted off the two uzu shinobi momentarily as the beast assumedly moved itself to address the man. "Barnabassss. Your betrayal is entirely unsssurprising, and accounted for." The finality of the female's voice was solidified by the terrored screams of the man not even a second later.

Now with no more distractions this 'Ginda' set her full attention back on the remaining two ninja. "Now that iss rather disssappointing. Did you really think that you could enter my home and ussurp me? I think I will usse your bodiess as decorationsss for my garden." At her command the very air the two men were breathing would become saturated with a unique brand of corrupted nature chakra. Unprotected and unfiltered breathing here would slowly corrupt the bodies until the two were turned into stone.

((Air here is now corrupted nature chakra, breathing gives you 20 chakra of it and if you reach 180 you are turned stone until a medic comes to save you, also lost a slight descriptive to all stats per post you breathe it in))

            Zahara
            Half-Blood Hyuuga

            ... I am the Serpent ...

          • Zahara hoisted his sword onto his back with its strap as the other shinobi had made his appearance here as well, now full well and clear this was where the old woman wanted him to be. So. All those lost lives over that scroll brought me... er... us... to this hell? He was in thought for a moment as he inspected the caverns, running a single finger through sand and rubbed the consistency of the grains with finger and thumb.

They were here, whether it was intentional or not as the light of the portal diminished entirely with the Samehade picking up several chakra signatures, his symbiotic link to the blade was mentally taxing as the information was blinding to him. The heavy scroll fell from the fading aurora above as it fell with its contents partially revealed, archaic script that Zahara himself wasn't literate in. It was rolled closed then, quietly cursing the object all the while as he hauled it over his shoulder with the silk rope attacked at either end.

Zahara stood up as the other looked around the cavern and nodded when the shinobi questioned the skin. "I don't know where we are. But..." Zahara gestured to the scroll poking out that now hung off of him. "...this scroll was the summoning scroll in the old temple once in Kya's and Sensei Chie's care." He explained that the scroll was the center of the serpent callers, a sect of the religious cult that were in Uzu that catered to the scroll and he furthered explained how someone in their order was leading a coup during the attack on uzu, someone who wanted to exploit the power that the scroll held.

"So. If any of that is a hint... We're where this scroll is connected to. That skin must belong to a snake or some kind of serpent." Zahara let out a heavy sigh as he stretched his tweaked shoulder. Fell harder than I thought.

Sometime after Zahara's short explanation of the scroll's origin and the whole ******** case surrounding it, there was a faint aura of chakra thick and heavy in the air. Like the mirage of a sweltering summer day and the distortions of deep ocean water... There was a lingering sense of cold taint in the air that the other shinobi would be able to sense naturally and the Samehade also could feel. The entire time he was speaking the blade was quivering silently and to the observant eye the scales on the weapon were flexing even and the blade even seemed to slowly grow in size by a few centimeters. It was consuming Zahara's chakra, feeding off its wielder like a parasite while it also took in the ambient chakra that was around in the air. A voice spoke through the darkness as the sound of slithering scales against stone echoed around the pair.

He was considering this other man's observation that the portal was indeed one way, but he began to notice that the darkness in the tunnels more closely. Something was moving deeper in the caves, heavy it was by the rough scale on stone sounds as another voice now shouted in the depths of this darkness. It was the same voice of the black reptilian man abomination he was facing some time before. This creature's attention was taken off of them for a moment.

Zahara gritted his teeth and drew his sword with a single hand when he heard this voice but stopped when he felt... off. More movement and the darkness shifted as it was soon revealed that this was visible chakra as the sensory feedback from Samehade confirmed it. But the deep, raspy voice of the large creature moving out of sight paralyzed him with a stark realization of just how large the creature was by the sounds.

Well, at least he knew what happened to the killer of who brought both him and the other unknown shinobi here. The screams came shortly after this feminine creature spoke, his revenge was accomplished more than likely but now her attention was renewed upon the pair.

Zahara held Samehade off to his side so that it rested on the ground but kept his hand tightly wrapped on the hilt. He could hear and realize this creature now spoke directly to them, yet he held up his hand to say to the other shinobi. Body language to say 'hold on' as he considered his words.

He choked slightly as he breathed, the air heavy and even stagnant from his intake of air. The shark skin sword felt the ambient chakra was both in the air and in him as well, like an infection. Dammit, this is going to be bad. From the thick shroud of dark chakra, the massive head of the snake finally made itself clear as the serpent threatened the pair to become decorations for a garden, hot air hissing out from the reptile.

"Whatever your home is," Zahara said aloud finally, his hand gripping the samehade tighter. "We've not come to usurp you, the one known as Kassandra conjured script in the scroll I now carry to open the path here. We're not here by choice, the man you just made scream slain her and the power grew unstable and consumed us to be here." Zahara, with his free hand he pulled on the silk rope with the scroll. "Everyone who held this before me are all dead, from war and the cult Kassandra was apart of. It's cursed to try and usurp you, everyone apart of that is dead save for me, and I don't know the politics of your precious Barnabas and Kassandra. What say you?"

Lohner listened with intent as the other Uzu shinobi recalled the tale of the Contract Scroll. It had passed the hands of Kya, and Chie, and now into this rogueish figured man, and ultimately it led them here. Lohner shook the annoyance from his frame and the chakra crackled across his frame as he did so. Still uncertain of where they landed and faced with the gigantic skin of... something, he could not settle.

Just as well that he did not, he surmised as the constant chitter and whine from the man's weapon told the Uzumaki that more was amiss than he had initially believed. A treasonous cult, the sudden fall of Uzu, an attack on their new home so soon after they arrived, an unknown to him Uzu shinobi with an undoubtedly aware weapon. No part of this lined up, and in no certain way did Lohner believe there was a lack of reason to it.

The single constant in all of it was powerful ninjutsu, and before Lohner sat a kind of jutsu he knew all too well in theory, fuuinjutsu. It was the central pillar of his family's claim, after all, though without purchase into the scroll and eyes pressed to it. He cursed himself his immediate inability to access the information but focused on the here and now. Radiant heat, no, chakra washed over the cave and an argument erupted.

A soft, smooth, and lilted voice rolled from the lips of something that seemed too large to be human. Heat emanated from its direction as it spoke, and Lohner raised a hand to cover his mouth to keep the acrid taste of its breath from his mouth. Whatever it was questioned their presence, and was met with a demanding response that gave the Uzu Shinobi the beast's name.

"Ginda." Lohner tongued the name silently as the other shouted after it and berated the beast, he found it distasteful.

Then the fool was gone and the beast addressed them after the man's screams subsided.

Lohner had thought to speak, but he halted, and let the other do so. This was not his place to be a diplomat. Instead, he focused on the surroundings and let his mind break through the corrupted chakra, looking through the stone and sand for some kind of opening, crevice, crack, any fissure that would give him an idea, or inkling of inspiration. Once he had it, he listened to the words Zahara spoke and gave no outward intention of assault. After all, this was not his fight, and if the beast did not strike beyond its disgusting aura, Lohner had no reason to do so either.

Much time passed without a word from Ginda, so much so that Zahara might have wondered if his words held any sway at or if the snake would simply let the duo die here. Finally however, there was at least a horse hiss on the wind. "I can likely believe what you say is truth. However, whether you were here to attack me or not does not absolve you of your sinsss for awakening me." Darkness evaporated as light filled the cave once again although perhaps it's cover was more of a mercy than a hinderance as before them now could the full terrifying glory of the great white snake beheld. Her body so impossibly large that coils and coils of her form could be see in every direction. It could also be see now just how entrapped the two ninja actually were. "My mark has placed on both you. Sssince it seems my clan and ssspeaker are no more, you." Ginda nodded to Zahara. "Will take her place. The pricce is 100 soulss from BOTH of you." Lifting her mighty head to touch the peak of the cavern Ginda tasted the air with her forked tongue. "Mmm Chie has passsed but I tasste her chakra on the wind. You will collect thesse soulss from thosse mongrels who have deprived me of my best warrior firsst." A few feet away did another portal tear open, this one a sickly green in colour. The destination was unknown but it could be Infurred that it would lead to whoever it was who had murdered Chie and attacked Uzu.

((Rei your mark leaves your mind being filled the knowledge of how ti summon the snakes, officially your snake sage now.))

"So, what you're saying then... He's to be your new Scion and we're both to gather souls for you in revenge for the death of Chie-dono, this means that ultimately we'll get revenge for the assault on Uzushiogakure, and I'll get personal revenge for my family, friends, and the countless others that weren't saved by the man with the ringed eyes. My vengeance, my cold steel, in a colder world. To do that, though, I will need a shield, as your unfaithful disciple ripped me from home before I could gather mine. I'll need something hard, resistant, and most importantly, that can boost my natural connection to the world." Lohner approached the gigantic snake and pressed his hand on its side, where several scales met, but none lay that faced any danger of exposing and threatened flesh beneath.

With a firmly pressed hand and a twist, the Uzumaki pulled a large scale downward and his eyes focused upon the visage of the snake, intent clear. He did not like being given commands, but he knew he was now allied with a powerful force in the battle to come. He wanted to make his displeasure known, but prove he'd use the gifts they were given, even if he couldn't garner the same power the other Uzu shinobi may from this beast. Vines grew from the scale as the Uzumaki focused his Senju gift onto the large plate, the vines formed and melded themselves to make grips and lash to hold the scale by as if it were a traditional heater shield.

"This will suit both of our needs. I'll be able to better spread your carnage alongside your new puppet, and you'll protect me while I do it. A momentary displeasure for both of us as it all begins, unfortunately, but you'll never doubt our results." Lohner spoke, then called his Signati Armis to him, donned in full-plate armor with sword and shield in hand he looked into the eyes of Ginda.

"We both have respect for what Chie-dono left behind. She was your warrior. She was my Kage." He called up to the massive beast as he shunted the corrupt senjutsu chakra from his body in a wave that stirred the air around him.

"For her, for Uzu, for the fallen, I'll kill every last one of those bastards." He finished and smacked the visor shut on his helmet and took a step backward towards the emerald portal, a flood of memories and a lifetime of training coursed through his mind as he prepared to cross that somber threshold.

            Zahara
            Half-Blood Hyuuga

            ... I am the Serpent ...

          • Zahara gritted his teeth as his insides felt as though they were on fire. His ears rung with a high pitch whine blaring in his mind as the man dropped to his knees with a heavy thump. The Samehade clattered to the sandy ground as the man let out a yell as the strange pain worked its way through his system. Sweat dripped off his brow as he breathed in with one hand clutching at the fabric of his shirt, rasping heavily as the pain of the unknown source flowed through him as if his blood were boiling. Ginda had bestowed upon the man her mark, the power of a cursed chakra coursed upon someone who hasn't trained in the art of natural chakra.

Just before the snake had given him this mark, he was taking in the information that this creature was so intent on spilling and after a long silence he thought he and his unnamed companion were going to defend themselves. Instead, his words rang true to the serpent to keep his life in now exchange for those who've stolen another's. A hundred for a single, a lofty bargain to sate both revenge and a general purpose. To whom the snake, Ginda, referred to could only mean the Kogarashi itself and its upper echelon of warriors. Now Zahara was branded a mark of the serpent, an ouroboros sigil burning into the back of his right hand while the scroll he carried upon his back shook as chakra flowed into the object, it flew off of his person and now unraveled itself before the man as he was still wracked in the unknown pain as parts of his skin now became partially petrified.

Zahara looked on, paralyzed by the pain still as the scroll was fully open, its archaic script now swirled and moved before the eye as chakra formed the scroll's new look. Here a registry of names was revealed, numerous ones written in columns and pacts made within as they each bore a symbol under each. The last two names in this scroll were that of Kya Uchiha and Chie Saegahara were inscribed as the registry shifted and a blank spot was revealed. Zahara's body moved of its own accord as he said aloud of what was happening, his left arm moved and reached out to touch the scroll despite his struggle and then a loud, ear-splitting screech would be heard. Fuuinjutsu stuck the unprotected flesh of his open palm and he grunted in pain as blood pooled on the the parchment yet he was free to move his body and Zahara yanked back as hard he could, falling over backwards onto his rear as he now gripped the Samehade from the ground with his right and poised to strike the scroll but stopped.

The blood upon the scroll now moved as like it were blood magic, fuuinjutsu was at work as blood was absorbed into the scroll and now formed an ornate modern script unlike the rest of the scroll's traditional text. Zahara Kevali was etched into the parchment, the symbol that marked his right hand appeared below as his name was written in the collum. Wisps of chakra flowed between both the scroll and Zahara, Ginda also shared the same chakra nature as the binding pact was made and Zahara stood as he gained unknown knowledge. It was a parasitic link to the snakes that he shared at that moment, ancient as it was, and knew instinctively what the snakes were and whom each were that were bound this contract.

The scroll rolled closed as Zahara stowed his samehade across his back once again, he retrieved the scroll and also carried it alongside the chittering blade which prompted Zahara to jab a thumb at it. "Shush you, I don't need to hear your sass." He commented on the sharkskin's chittering which almost seemed like he thought the blade was laughing at him during that whole ordeal.

He heaved a heavy sigh as he rolled his neck and flexed his muscles, pain still radiated from his hands as Zahara inspected his left at a large gash at the wrist that already scabbed over and then the brand of a mark on the back of his right. His skin was partially petrified as well from the result of the cursed chakra, crystalized in small patches of dark green upon his exposed arms. During this time he was listening to the tail end of his self inspirational speech, he callously had also pulled a scale from this serpent and so casually made a shield with vines securing the scale as a impromptu shield.

A senju. Hmm. Zahara thought, now looking upon the rip in space with a sneer. "I've come to hate your portals." He began. "I've too many to avenge, the old woman, Kassandra, among them. But I suppose if we fail to meet your... body count...Heh. Nevermind that."

Zahara glanced over at the man now clad in armor and prepared for war while he himself was... dressed in rags and tattered clothes with the chittering fish blade on his back, scowl upon his face. "I am Zahara Kevali, Hyuuga half blood." He announced his name at last as he walked slowly to the pulsating portal of ******** nauseating baby puke green aura armed with the prospect of having another hurl of his innards upon leaping through it.

"I care not for formality, so let's just gut these assholes and bring home glory. I've a bone or two to pick." The samehade chittered with high pitch chirps of approval as the scales rumbled underneath the white bandages. Even his sword was excited.

And he jumped through, passing the threshold of the time-space portal into whatever unknown hell this serpent was sending them. But now, he was armed with new knowledge ingrained into him by his new patron of this ungodly power.
