[ORP] .: Schnee Bunny Hide and Seek :.

Bopa grins at the hare nuzzling her ears happily. It seemed someone else near by had also found a new partner. It seemed the searching lions were getting what they came for. Still he was glad he had gained his new partner first. He had really never felt so lucky. “Bopa.” The green lion replied. “My name is Bopa.”

The gray hare smiles softly, there was an instant trust between her and the light green lion. There had to be, his nuzzling at her ears felt nice, his warm breath whistling down her spine. “It’s very nice to meet you my friend.”

When his eyes finally adjusted, Kite frowned at the long corridor ahead of him. A deep cave, then. This would take longer to look through than he’d thought, but hopefully it would lead somewhere. Walking forward, he had to crouch to keep himself from bonking his head on the ceiling. Idly, he wondered how far he could go before he had to stop. Either he wouldn’t be able to see anything anymore, or the cave would become small enough that he had to back out.

Ah, well, he’d see how far he could go.

Minutes passed by and the cave got darker and darker by the second. Soon, Lian was squinting into the darkness, trying to see what little he could.

Finally, he had to call it quits as his legs started to scrunch up beneath him. This was no good -- he wouldn't be able to move pretty soon here. So with a shake of his head, the lion started backing his way up until he could turn himself around and walk back. Hopefully, whatever hare might have come in here would think twice about venturing so far in. You would have to be a cub to go any deeper.

He would make his way back out of the waterfall cave, and perhaps following up top of it.

As he got close to the entrance, Lian popped his head out to gaze around the frozen water. The forest was brightening a bit, perhaps from the moving of the clouds, and it left the ice shimmering beneath it. With a grin, he pulled himself out completely and then made his way out onto the ice.

The white lion stumbled and slid across the slick surface, and his brow creased as he concentrated on keeping his balance. This was a new experience. Ice wasn't common in the Kizi, after all.

But he managed to slip and slide his way to the other side, jumping into the snow and padding around to look at the frozen falls one more time. Hmmm, the top could yield a few good hiding spots. With a nod, he started making his way up the hill.

It was a little bit of a climb, what with the slick snow hindering his movements, but Lian trudged his way up and peeked over the top of the falls. The sun was more prominent here, with less trees to bar it from entering the forest.

Pulling himself up, he looked out across the frozen landscape to try to spot where to head to next.

Enzi had no idea where he was going. Everything was all snow, snow, and more snow. Maybe he really shouldn’t have decided to join this pride. Not only was everything here cold, but his body wasn’t equipped to deal with the cold. He had heard that there was a feast going on, but he had yet to really find it. All he found were lions digging through the snow as if they were searching for something. He didn’t know what. Did he come across some weird game or something? Enzi sighed a little.

“I’m hungry…” he mumbled into the snowy landscape.

Hmm, not too much to see with all these trees in the way. He could, however, see another opening in the distance. Perhaps another clearing? It was worth checking at, at the very least. So with a flick of his cloak, the lion jumped down and started making his way towards it.

The walk to there wasn't terribly exciting, but walking into the clearing brought its own version of it. The usually pristine snow was littered with holes, as far as the eye could see! That gave him hope -- hares were the likely makers of these holes, after all.

Holes, holes, and more holes. As far as the eyes could see, but there was nothing in them. Enzi sighed. He didn’t know where he or how to get to the area where the food was. He huffed a little. What was going on here? He tried to ask a lion he had come across but was greeted with snow kicked in his face. Figures. He would have to try again if he came across another lion.

A brush moved near him. He looked at cautiously. Maybe something was going to come out. He got low to the ground as he made his way to the bush, but as he got the closer, birds scattered into the skies. Well, that sucked.

Then again, as he made his way closer, he frowned as he realized that there were a lot of lions here already. Maybe this wasn't the best spot to look then. If so many were already searching these holes, then it was unlikely that he'd find a hare here himself. If anything, the hares would move on upon seeing so many. No point in giving up the game so early.

With a shake of his head, Lian turned and tried to look for another spot to search.

Enzi sighed a little. This was getting old fast. He was so turned around in the icy landscape that he didn’t know which way was up or which way was down. He looked over and noticed something hiding in a bush. He walked over to it quietly, but before he could get there, it had disappeared. Must have been a hare… that he couldn’t eat.

“Could this day get any better?” he grumbled as he looked around. Maybe he should have just stayed at home. At least there it wouldn’t be so hard to find food. “Hello, anyone there? I’m looking for the feast, but I got lost…”

Enzi sighed. He wasn’t getting anywhere and he still didn’t know what was going here. He looked up and saw the tail end of a lion digging in the snow. He walked up to them, not sure if it was a male or a female. By the look, it was a female. He cleared his throat and the lioness looked at him and smiled.

“Excuse me, I’m lost,” he said, his ears flattening against his head. “I had heard of a feast, but I got lost. I don’t know where I am or what’s going on.”

The female giggles a little. “This is the Bunny Hide and seek. Those of us that are in the pride that doesn’t have a hare companion are looking for a hare. The feast is in that direction. It’s not far off.”

Enzi smiled a little as he looked in the direction the lioness pointed to. “Thank you!” He turned to thank her, but the female had disappeared, no doubt looking in another area for a hare.

Lian was silent as he walked, eyes focused on scanning the snow, but he paused as he had a thought. Perhaps he was looking at this wrong. The hares were tricksy, and holes and other such places were perfect spots to find them.... normally.

Rather than looking down.... maybe he should be looking up.

Blinking, the lion turned his gaze upwards and started scanning the trees for anything off.

As Enzi made his way toward the feast, he had a thought. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad trying to find a hare companion. At least he would look like a real member of the pride with a hare next to him. He would stay in the area. Surely someone would appear for him. His stomach disagreed, however. He wondered if there was a hare waiting out there for someone to find them so they could eat a well. He frowned at that thought.

“Hello? Is anyone there?” he called out. He didn’t hear a response though. He walked around the area, looking for any signs that a hare is hiding.

[Syrius Lionwing]

Friend, that was what they were now, friends. Something about the smell of the dark gray hare, the smell of the mountains. His new home. Having her here with him made him feel good. It made him feel at home. “I can’t wait to introduce you to my brother.”

Kali flickered her ears and grins. “You have family here?” She wriggled her nose. She wondered if his brother had a hare yet. She looked around spotting other lions still searching for new companions. “Is he here searching too?” She queried.

First glance showed nothing, but there were a lot of trees. As he walked, he started to notice snapped off branches and odd-looking placement of leaves. Suspicious, he thought with a grunt. A bird or another lion could have done it, but it was better to be sure.

The white lion paused to shrug his cloak off, not wanting it to hinder his movements, and then bunched his muscles to bound his way up one of the trees. He would have a much better view from up top.
