Perhaps he was being little greedy, but he really didn't want to go home just yet. He could only stall for so long. Already Kieran had grown suspicious of his actions. Speaking honestly, he leaned over to take a kiss from Kieran's lips. He soon pulled away and started to get out of the car. Before he was able to fully open the door, Kieran grabbed him by the wrist, and pulled him back. His head was turned and he was kissed more passionately than just a moment ago. Jakob kissed him back, moaning softly against his lips. After a few minutes he was released. Blushing, he pouted as Kieran smirked down at him. "Mmhm. Just for that I'm keeping your shirt" he teased.
Jakob stepped out of the car and shut the door behind him. "Bye, daddy." he said, smirking. Giving Kieran a small wave, he started heading down the street in the direction of home. With each step he yearned to go back. But that wasn't an option. He'd have to settle with text messages and maybe a phone call until they could meet again. Licking his lips, he could taste Kieran on his own. It took him all of ten minutes to get home. He crossed the lawn and opened the front door. Stepping inside, the house was alive. He could hear the television in the living room while someone else was making noise in the kitchen. Looking across the way, Cornelius had his door wide open meaning he was likely not home.
Making his way upstairs, he quietly padded down to his bedroom, and slipped inside. He sighed softly as he was happy no one had taken notice of him. Crossing over to his desk, he picked up his forgotten cell phone. By now it was fully charged and filled with notifications. Smirking he took the device off the cord and walked over to his bed to begin reading the massive amount of messages Kieran had left him. Though before he allowed him to dive completely into the wall of text. He first sent Kieran a message. "Hey daddy, I'm home. Cornelius doesn't appear to be home, so that's good. Btw, I just remembered you sent me a bunch of stuff while I was out of town! Be back in a few hours, I'm going to read!!"

Pulling Miguel back for a kiss, he couldn’t help himself. Kieran didn’t know the next time he would see Miguel. He wanted to savor the moment for all the moment it was worth. After a quick kiss, that would leave him wanting more. Kieran released Miguel after a quick teasing word. He listened as Miguel spoke as he teased him. Kieran laughed softly, not minding if Miguel kept his shirt, after all Miguel’s was bound to be somewhere in his room.
Once Miguel was out of his car, Kieran waved goodbye as well, before heading off. He continued down the road pulling away from the curb. Kieran had a few errands to run before returning home. He was in no mood to face Abel. After all he didn’t know what to expect by speaking to him again. Kieran knew Abel had been irritated for being woken up after all the man never got up before at the lastest eleven. He preferred his sleep, where as Kieran was a morning person.
A few weeks went by, as Kieran started becoming busy. He didn’t have a lot of time to spend on the phone, let alone contact Miguel. Kieran wasn’t busy because of Abel, but for more personal reason. He had to take care of some family issues. Kieran dreaded the idea of taking care of such issues. He wished there was someone else to do it.
After dropping off Miguel at home, he had gotten a phone call from the local police in St. Louis. It was about his mother. She had been found having overdosed in a motel. Kieran had never cared too much about his mother. For all he cared, he was glad for her to be gone. She had never once lifted a caring finger toward him, so why should he. Kieran had been asked to come down to identify the body.
He drove all afternoon to get there. It wasn’t a long drive, but it seemed like one once he got on the road to head that way. Kieran had arrived at the coroner’s office a little later in the afternoon. He had been able to identify the body as hers even though he hadn’t seen or spoken to her since he was sixteen.
Kieran had stayed in St. Louis to help clear out her things and take care of her affairs. He had called Abel to inform him, who didn’t understand his need to close out that part of his part. Kieran had been asked if he needed Abel to help but he refused. He was willing to do all the cemetery stuffs by himself. Chicago wasn’t far from St. Louis but he didn’t want to drive back and forth. He just opted to get a hotel there himself. Kieran didn’t know when he would be back after all it would take a few weeks to get all his mother’s affairs in order, not that she had much in the first place.

He'd be lying if he said he hated receiving such a kiss. He knew why Kieran did it. Their meetings were too far and short to truly satisfy themselves. After the man pulled away, he teased him one last time before getting out of the car. With his goodbyes made all that was left to go home. He followed the familiar path and made his way up into his room. He sighed with relief as no one paid him any mind.
For the rest of the day, Jakob kept to his room. He read the various messages Kieran had sent him over the course of a month. While it had been fun to tease him, he felt a sting of guilt while reading over them. Some of the messages had been simple enough telling him "hi" or asking about his day. Scrolling further it became obvious how much Kieran had worried about him. There were messages asking if he was mad, where he was, or if he was simply ignoring him. The hardest ones to read were Kieran's drunk texts. In those messages were strings of emotions. Some were a bit sappy and telling him how much he missed him. While others were more angry. The writings were harder to read and hardly made much sense. But it one thing was clear, Kieran had felt betrayed by his silence. In hindsight, the anger he'd met at the door made sense. He couldn't blame him for feeling the way that he did. After reading his texts, it seemed that Kieran truly believed he had been dumped.
After reading the multiple text messages, he moved on to the dreadful task of listening to his voice mail. Just like the other messages, there were varying stages of worry. The earlier ones were more lighthearted and teasing. While others were full of confusion and anger. He spent the rest of the night reflecting those messages and the when he might be able to see him again. He fell asleep dreaming of their last kiss and how nice it had been sleeping in his bed. He hoped he could see him again soon.
Over the course of the next few weeks, Jakob was put back on his previous job along with a few smaller ones. He didn't understand the inner workings of Cornelius's mind but he didn't ask questions. He simply took the work as it was given to him. In the day, he ran errands for the house and took care of his own needs. At night, he roamed Abel's neighborhood. He only allowed himself to walk by his actual house once or twice. During those times, he would sent Kieran teasing texts to let him know he was nearby. His communication with Kieran had been spotty at best. He often told himself he was being cautious because of Abel. Or maybe he was busy driving the man around. Still, he heard very little from him.
After another week, he was certain the man wasn't in the area. His car was noticeably gone and he hadn't contacted him in over a week. While he didn't mind tracking Abel, it wasn't his favorite thing to do. Much less without his favorite eye candy in tow. He was almost reluctant to go into his neighborhood knowing the man would not be around to save if there was such a need.
Towards the end of the fourth week, Jakob stepped out of cab not too far from the club Abel frequented. He looked up at the building thinking about the last time he was here with Kieran. Now wasn't the time to get sentimental. If Kieran was going to be out of town then he needed to go ahead and take Abel out. He had a small knife strapped to his ankle, a butterfly knife in his pocket, and a new pistol hidden under his shirt.
He felt like an idiot walking into the lion's den. But he couldn't avoid Abel for much longer. Passing through the club doors, he walked over to the bar and ordered his usual drink. He scanned the area, not at all interested in the waves of scantily clad women and twinks. He looked towards the VIP area as if hoping he might summon he man he was looking for.

The last four weeks, had been uneventful for Abel. He had kept to himself, trying to keep out of the public eye. Abel had tried to stop Kieran from leaving town, but the man was stubborn. He didn’t understand his need to take care of his mother’s affairs, then again his own parents were caring of both Addy and he. While Kieran’s own mother had been abusive toward him.
From the first time meeting Kieran, Abel had taken it upon himself to protect him. He cared for Kieran as a brother, and didn’t want to see him get hurt. Abel knew Kieran didn’t care for his mother, not like normal children should. He didn’t blame him, after all he would have killed her along time ago but it seemed she took care of that on her own.
Abel hated to admit it but he was glad Kieran had a distraction at the moment, even if it came in the form of his dead mother. He hadn’t been able to speak to Kieran about his relationship with Miguel, who was bent on trying to kill him. Abel had been more observant. He had see Miguel around, passing by his house, but not enough to know that he wasn’t going to try and enter it while he was alone. Abel found it amusing, but found it reasonable, he couldn’t blame him. After all the last time Miguel entered his home, while Kieran was gone, he had strung him up in his basement.
It was late in the evening and Abel was growing bored. He had finished all his work for the day and decided to go out. Abel hated the idea of driving himself, but knew if he wanted to go anywhere beside the confines of his house he would have to drive. He opted for the club, after all it would allow him to find a wonderfully mixed drink and perhaps something more hard.
The drive wasn’t long as he only lived twenty minutes from the club. Abel pulled into the parking lot, parking his car. He got out making his way toward the door. Abel wasn’t carded by the bouncer, after all he never was. He was known by face, so he never had to worry about that. Abel entered the club as he past through the throngs of people who stood dancing on the dance floor. He continued past heading toward the VIP section.
