Alaric Common Room

"The room has an aquarium ceiling; filled with tropical fish that dance the night away. Blue light ripples across the floor, giving students the feeling that they are underwater."

The Alaric common room sports several shades of blue. The fireplace mantle is adorned with a portrait of the house founder.

When akihiko was deep in thought looking at his left hand he didn't hear or see Asha move towards him. When he felt and saw her palm over his, he jumped in surprised. His tail stiffen a bit, his ears pointing up as he moved quickly to look at the woman as she spoke. Talking casually with a smile "Well i would kill to have the ability to change outfits on a whim.... Though if its only that, i doubt i'll pull it off as well you do. But id give it my best shot regardless." As his body relaxed he'd chuckle as his own comment as he did his best to act like how he usually does.

Hearing her next comment he knew that he most likely worried the two to some degree. "It takes a toll, i will admit. I haven't used this skill in... Wait... How old am i?" He'd pause a bit as he started thing. "Yeah, ten or so years. Last time i used it, it may or may not freaked the entire village out." He'd give a warm laugh as he stated a fun-ish fact about his life depending on the perspective of it at the very least.

He'd watch Asha talk to the kids and saw how it helped keep there spirits high. Then herd her suggestion. Looking at the man talk rather coldly, though didn't seem like it was coming from a bad place. "Castle, classroom, either way will honestly do wonders to barricade it. Well till hero's finally show up." Akihiko would get a few rocks and his make shift weapon ready as they started heading out.

Halfway there though they encountered a professor who was on search and would escort the three of them to the dorm. To akihiko surprise, the three of them were in the same dorm. He'd wave happily as the professor would escort the kids somewhere else that would be safe. Akihiko would open the dorm door for Asha and Magnus and proceed in.

Freezing up momentarily at least as his eyes were souly focused on ceiling fish tank, that.... Made him feel... Rather unsafe on so may levels and it showed as he just walked around by the wall as he found a nice place to sit down as he dug threw his bag. He pulled out a old wooden box with wood burnt designs in it. Once opened had two stacks of cards, both to big and long to be playing cards. As he carefully pulled the out he'd shuffle them together for a few minutes and stared at Asha as he shuffled. Once done he'd pull out a card and hold it up, the image facing akihiko as he had the back of the card aim at Asha. "Mmm, Priestess... Does seem fitting." He'd chuckle as he'd shuffle it back in and look at the blonde male this time as he'd pull out a card, image facing akihiko again. Revealing the Hermit. "Ooo~ This one will be fun. Don't know much about this person but Hermits are always fun to gain insight from."

He'd shuffle the deck again before placing them in certain spots as he used his peculiarity to increase his accuracy. Flipping three and pondering the cards placement and meaning as the others remained un-flipped till he pondered about the meaning.

The day’s event was hardly someone would call ‘fun’. Things were off to a strange start and the way that things ended….No! It wasn’t best to think about those memories. The day was already coming to a close so it was best to leave her memories as so. It was due through blurred faces that the Alaric member was able to make their way to this particular establishment. At least they were kind enough to give Thirsty and the Water Gun in one piece. Though there was chaos at school, two things won at the festival were safe. Even the camera from the contest was still retained in their grasp. The rest of their belongings were shipped straight to the school. Tis why the child bore no luggage upon arriving at the establishment. ’At least if I go to my room I can put Thirsty home, put my water gun away, unpack some things, and get ready for the night. It was a lot for today. I didn’t even think I’d use my peculiarity this early in the school year. Did the school year begin yet? I think I’m not that strict on myself as I once thought.’ Their memories threatened to dwell upon Professor Bastion. For now, that blue-haired man was safe but who knew for how long. Once she had undone his legs, there was a round of consolations. It was a mess, one that affected her mind as well.

The Alaric dorm, the one where she would be residing, was a bit unexpected. From the letter received, there wasn’t a whole lot of information to determine the sort of house she’d be in. From the uniform that came with their acceptance letter, the house possessed a blue-theme. Beyond that, there was nothing else to divulge. Now that their nose filled with a jumble of a variety of scents, it was difficult to know if this was something to get used to. There was more to the room’s odor than its musty scent. There was certainly the mix of chemicals, perhaps bleach, to cover the previous year’s accidents. No, it was hard to put a finger on it. It was just the scent that caught them a bit off guard, there was a presence too.

It hardly took any detective look to see that someone else was present. Pointy white ears, a triumphant grin, and a stunningly modern outfit modeled on their physique. This unpigmented haired individual looked engrossed in some card while in the company of others. The other was a frail looking male, and the other a well-endowed female. Near the entrance, it was difficult to make out the other two compared to the fox-like man. The kitsune man seemed to hum a merry little tune while fiddling with their deck of cards. Though, them being a mere deck of cards was unclear. With the inhuman creature holding them up every so often, they seemed to be entertained with whatever result their gaze landed on. Their glee was not something they hid.

Hiding in the shadows wasn’t going to do her any good. Social skills were inept but these individuals were going to be people seen on a daily basis. The least anyone could do was say hello and then run away. ’Yeah! I don’t have to say for very long. I have a lot to think about anyway...’ The first thing to come to mind was Strawberry. Their gesture, voice, touch, and past were freshly pressed in her mind. One could not easily forget the impression that the boy left. Especially when it enthralled an inner beast. It was beginning to wet her appetite. At least it could be an appetite that could be handled within the confines of their room. ’Say ‘Hi’ and then maybe talk a little bit. Then I can go back to my room.’ A lump was swallowed, a few brave steps were taken towards the three. Someone had to start somewhere, right?
”H-hello! Nice weather were having, huh?” The girl waved her hand in a usual greeting gesture. An awkward smile spreading across nervous lips. It was hard, truthfully, to be able to greet people like this. It was difficult to go back to being ‘normal’ when everyone was affected by an enemy attack. Maybe that was something normal here, but it wasn’t normal to her. ’The weather? Who wants to talk about the weather?! That is probably the last thing on people’s minds right now. I-I even stuttered in front of these people. They’ll probably think of some strange little freak and cast me away.’

The pale colored woman was thankful Magnus made the first move in deciding where they would take the children. His answer being logical in reason as to where they should move them. She watched with a tired expression as he wrapped a couple children in a coat, then proceeded to lift the table to help lesson the need for her barrier. The more she was around this male, the more he confused her. Most of his actions were based on logic, she could tell that, but even though emotionless he took some action to help lessen her load. Akihiko seemed pleased with the decision as well, picking up his weapon along with a few more rocks incase they were needed. Asha would have rather him left the rocks to be honest, worried about his ability and the effects it had on him. Though he seemed cheery now, she didn't like the change in his emotions before and would rather them not happen again. They moved together as a group now, triangled around the children to easily hide them from the mess outside of it. Feeling a small pressure on her fingers drew her attention down, the small girl who she had pulled from her fathers grasp was now clinging to her hand. Asha smiled down towards the girl, her grasp tightening in a reassuring way as they continued to move slowly hand in hand.

They were about half way to the school when a adult approached them, informing them that the school wanted everyone to head to their dorms and not come out until further instructed. Asha wasn't against this, the children would be protected indoors either way. The female truly didn't care as long as the little ones were taken care of. Once the group reached the doors of their own dorms, Akihiko moved first to hold the door open. Asha's shield would drop as she was ready to usher the kids inside but was paused by the actions of the teacher. Insisting she would take the kids somewhere more fit. Asha's expression dropped slightly, she wanted to make sure the children were okay and as odd as it was, she didn't want to say goodbye. She pulled her hand from the little girl's and silently urged her to follow the teacher, knowing the older woman would probably know what was best for the kids. She waved the kids off with a small smile, one that failed to reach her eyes. She turned to Akihiko and nodded thanking him for holding the door as she moved inside.

Her eyes were instantly drawn up to the ceiling of the room, a thicc layer of glass exposed a tank filled with colorful fish above them. Asha loved the sight of it, the fish swimming with ease and not a care in the world. She looked to the side just in time to see Akihiko stiffen like stone, the girl muffled a laugh in his reaction. You would think someone who looked like a fox would love fish? She decided not to comment on it as he moved to one of the seats furthest away from the tank and began to rummage through his bag. Asha tilted her head as he pulled a odd deck of cards from the pouch, shuffling them for a moment before looking up at her. Asha straightened as he did, her arms crossing under her chest, her eyes clearly showed her confusion. "What are you-." Her words were cut short as he pulled a card from the deck, smirking before telling her what it was. "Mmm, Priestess... Does seem fitting." Asha laughed lightly under her breath, confused on how he could pull a card that seemed to describe her ability so well. She was going to ask what it meant, but Akihiko quickly turned his attention to Magnus. Shuffling the cards once more as he locked eyes with the male. She waited patiently to see what the card had to say about their emotionless friend. "Ooo~ This one will be fun. Don't know much about this person but Hermits are always fun to gain insight from." Asha was confused, she thought a hermit was a type of bum... Magnus was not a bum, well as far as she knew. She smiled and shrugged it off. "What does the Priestess mean?" She asked light heartedly, the obvious interest humming through her words.

She waited for a moment before a voice pulled her attention to the side. A small framed female approached, speaking with a stutter that lead her sentence. "H-Hello! Nice weather we're having, Huh? A awkward smile painted over the girls lips, leading Asha to believe the small girl was a little nervous to talk to them. Well.. That or maybe she had previously been upset about something. Her own thoughts paused for a moment, if this girl was anywhere near the festival there was a chance she saw what took place there as well. Asha decided not to act on either she had though, instead a smile would grace her full lips as she nodded. "Quite nice, where I'm from it's always so stormy around this time of year." A laugh trailed at the end of her sentence. Asha had often tried not to bring up her home, but as long as the others didn't question where she was from or her home life she didn't have a issue with talking about the weather there. A hand reached out towards the girl, offering a gentle handshake. "I am Asha, This is Magnus and that is Akihiko.." Her head would tilt in the direction of whom she was introducing. Assuming the males wouldn't have a issue with her doing it for them. "We all met at..." Her words trailed, not wanting to bring up the fair just yet. "We met earlier.. Had no idea we would all be in the same house though." She spoke calmly, a kind hum moving between her words as she tried to keep the conversation off the recent disasters. If anything talking about something else would be more pleasant, at least for now. The girls arms pulled behind her figure, locking fingers there in a type of stretch before staying in that position. "Akihiko was just reading these cards. I'm honestly not too sure what they are? He called me a priestess and Magnus a hermit." She was quite amused by that, mostly because Magnus seemed to wear very high class clothing. So a bum wouldn't suit the male very well at all. She wouldn't question it too far though, figuring they would get a explanation soon enough. "Oh!" A small gasp escaped her lips as she looked back to the girl. "What's your name? So rude, I forgot to ask." She laughed as her hand lifted to mess with her hair. Pulling the silver locks to one side of her neck and running her fingers through it. Asha didn't often hang around more than two people at a time, so the more who were around her the more her awkward side would show through.

♣As the group continued to move as a perfect unit, the security of the children was certain, and they would be spared from seeing the terrible fate other humans succumbed to. It was a peculiarity of the highest level to dominate so many minds at such a deep level, driving them willingly to their brutal demise, made by their own hand. As expected, no fear nor anything remotely similar to that could be found on the male's expression or in his interior, the heart within beating with the serenity of a crystal lake, not affected in the slightest by all that he had been a witness to. Perhaps, at best, Magnus had taken down notes on how to improve the security in the area and better move the innocent around the premises in cases of emergencies. Considering this was a fierce battle between villains and heroes, beings of grandiose might, surprise attacks would be the normal tactic. Unless they were able to utterly overwhelm the heroes and their fighting spirit. If such a day came, the end of peace would be marked and evil, unstoppable in its wake, could finally rule over the human societies.

Their salvation, as expected as it was, came in the form of a teacher, ready to assist them and drive the trio into their proper dorm, guiding the kids away from them and into an appropriate location. It was correct, their well being would be better attended away from the hands of new students. Especially when one of them had nothing but a total capacity of wide area annihilation, laying waste to anything that was unfortunately located near the reaches of his creations. His peculiarity was nothing short of powerful, but also came with a lack of skill in helping others. The means to do so were possible, but Magnus had yet to learn how to use them. Aware of his weaknesses and hoping to gain the knowledge to better execute the law on those who dared to defy it, the blond was more than 'eager' to get to classes. This eagerness simply manifested in a visible disposition of attending classes and doing work, as merely stating eagerness would imply he had feelings, or the desire to do something. Perhaps he did, but how so was beyond a normal human's comprehension. Returning to the present time, Magnus was quick to leave the kids aside and focus on what was ahead of the group, the entrance to their dorms. Who was the one to share a room with him remained a mystery, but there was this density in the air that gave off the impression the black hole manipulator was close to his discovery.

Walking inside after the other two, Magnus' eyes scanned the place with a calm to him that could make all of those around him feel at ease just by seeing how composed the male was at examining all of the details surrounding him. The tank above them, decorating the ceiling and serving as home for a variety of marine life, many in small size, was simply considered a detail, its wonders and breath-taking aesthetic ignored entirely by the entity. During the time Asha and Akihiko reacted in their own way to the scenario, Magnus was taking the time to walk around the place as slowly as he could, passing a hand through the walls and assimilating its texture by the way his fingers moved across the surface. Whatever dust left on his finger indicated the quality of the air, the body language of those near him revealing how comfortable the temperature was. In conclusion, it was safe to lower his guard to a casual level there, the threat must've been left in the past as responsible forces must've certainly asserted control of everything and settled all of the problems. During this investigation of the perimeter, the blond had taken notice of what the duo was perfoming, including the cards and whispering commentaries about said items, but kept all questions to himself, as he had none. Cards offered no threat, or useful knowledge on known and unknown enemies. Not knowing the peculiarity behind the fox, it was best to leave his possession of the tarot as a mere trivia fact rather than an object of pondering. Despite their recent union in defending the young and withstanding the gruesome sights of flesh, blood and suffering, all one knew about the other were names, and so far, that was for the best. Situations such as these worked better on fast, simple info and trust. Anything besides that was unsought for.

The main light would be redirected abruptly, the pupils covered all around by two different colors shifted to gaze a new individual. Young female, nervous in her approach, questioning the current climate outside with a stutter. Perhaps his stare could be somewhat bone chilling, as the tall male still managed to lightly tower over the others and held on to this unmoving expression of void, empty as far as anyone could study, but on the same coin, had no evil intention behind it. At that very moment, his mind, or what could be taken as such, was analyzing the woman to the very end of her being, from muscular structure to possible bone condition by the few steps she had taken. Of course, he had done the same to the pair with him. From Akihiko's ears to his tail and further, and from Asha's head to her t h i c c thighs and beyond, all they were was now completely inserted within the vast database located on the inner structures of Magnus' logic. His only movement would be that of a respecful nod to the new female when Asha introduced his name and allowed the girl the opportunity to glance at him. The nod was simple and effective before his body went returning to his full height and making route to a new area. This area, as they would discover quick, was a chair, a rotating system underneath the seat to allow whoever stood upon it to girate freely, and move about. Instead of taking that freedom, Magnus sat down, intertwined his fingers together and had both hands on his lap, steady on a doll like pose that accentuated the strange charm he carried. A face described as beautiful by many, a figure of fragility dressed in refined clothing over the standard uniform. His wealth vast in materials, and in his interior, as past actions had proved. No soul could tell what ran through his head at that moment of peace, as it seemed to be perfect.♣

█【Alaric House】█【CL: Alaric Common Room】█【Peculiarity: Kitsune Fate Manipulation 】█【With: Asha and blonde hair male blue haired woman】█【Current Outfit】█

When Akihiko was pulling out cards and talking to himself he didn't realize Asha. When he herd her question he was about to answer till a new person, a woman showed up and glanced over the three of them. Then he couldn't help but chuckle at her weather comment. He let asha speak first and nodded to some extent. "Spring usually brings mud slides, summer heavy rain and scorching sun, fall rather peaceful and winter a royal pain. But that's what you get for living on a mountain. But the weather here is a delightful change of pace at least." He'd shrug as he warmly smiled and spoke to the new woman.

Asha introduced them, he gave a gentle wave when his name was brought up. Then he observed the two talk, glancing at Magnus who was watching them as well. When asha brought up his cards and adjusting his pose to reveal him better. He took this chance to gather his cards softly but swiftly and shuffle them. He'd smile as Asha asked what her name was and politely waited as he stood up.

Now that he realized it, the new woman was small and quite adorable. Like a teddy bear. Or well, in his case, a stuffed rabbit he used to cuddle during bed. Made him ponder if she was a bear or a rabbit. Chuckling at the idea alone to himself. Shaking his head before he continued.

"What Asha was refering to these cards, are Tarot cards. They help give one a... Well understanding of the path there currently on and how to better it, or at the least handle a worse case scenario better than going blind." He'd casually say as he'd shuffle as he gathered his thoughts briefly. "The priestess Is usually portrayed as a old woman with a book, she represents hidden knowledge, untapped power, wisdom, female mystery and patience. Something that doesn't seem to pose a threat... Until you realized the old woman been kicking peoples asses up one road and down the other." He'd chuckle as he gestured over to Magnus.

"Hermits, despite what you think or know. Are knowledge seekers in both outward and some even looking inside for the answers they oh so desire. Card image is a old man in dark place or cave, sometimes a dark road, always however holding a lantern. It means wisdom, introspection, solitude, retreat and philosophical searches. They don't like to be the focus of attention because where they shine most brightly in any scenario is in background." He'd continue shuffling, stopping to pull two cards, revealing the priestess and the hermit respectfully. Weather they saw this as "rigged" or not was entirely on them.

And now for you miss..." Akihiko said warmly and kindly as he shuffled for a few moments before pulling out a card. The strength one. Looking puzzled at the card and then at her, then at the card again. Placing it randomly and shuffling again as he focused on the woman before pulling out a card... T-the strength card again!? "....Ok third time the try~?" he said puzzling as he shuffled more intensely, using various shuffle methods before pulling the first game....

Taking a deep breath as he flipped it over for all to see, The strength card. "Well, Three out of three times i got the strength card.... As you can see, it is always portrayed as a young woman and a lion. This card symbolizes an imagery beyond the Beast And Beauty, and is associated with the morality about the stronger power of self-control, gentleness, courage and virtue over brute force. In short and sweet version. Do you side the woman and use humanity, or would you rather side with the lion and feed your primal urges, whatever that may be." He said warmly, though he was alil puzzled still.

Hes not that unfamiliar with this card but to think this little girl would have a such conflict in her to get this card. He'd have to be careful and observe her closely to see or understand her inner struggle. Shrugging as he shuffled the deck again. After awhile he'd sit down on the floor again and crack his neck as he stated to relax.

Tojuro was escorted to the dorm he was assigned after hiding from the insanity that happened at the festival. He hid mostly with his peculiarity being invisible and when he found a staff member they showed them where he needed to go and advised he couldn't leave until further notice. Which was fine by him, everything going on looked like straight up hell.

He stood at the door as he watched the staff member leave as he waved goodbye. Opening the door slowly he herd voices and inhaled slowly and exhaled slowly a few times as he opened the door and closed it silently behind him. He'd inch slightly further ahead to head a man explain... Something about a woman and a... Lion? Was the lion killing the woman!?

After imagining a lion brutally murdering a woman he took both hands and slapped his face with both hands and took a deep breath. He'd quickly become flawlessly invisible and started making his way in. He'd see a girl slightly shorter than him. A... Rather curvy tall woman that towered over him. A... Fox person, and finally a tall blonde male that... Was oddly creepy and he did't understand why.

He'd slowly and silent walk. "Tippity toe, lets go slow~" He'd think as he'd continue holding his breath as he hug the fathers wall from the four. Once he was in a safe... Ish location he'd pull out a carmel apple with the wrapper on it as he slowly and silently as possible removed it and gently and slowly exhaled.

He'd observe the four from a corner by the speakers, his mouth not leaving the caramel apple he brought with him. He'd casually play with the string on his left wrist as he continued to enjoy his treat as he casually listened to them talk.

The trip to the dorms was, putting it politely, not a fun little stroll for Stahl. Even though they had been told everything was clear, the male could not help but really wonder how true that was. His questions from before not being answered didn't help either. There was, however, a lot else going on his mind, all of it having to do with those last few moments in the dining hall. They were unexpected, difficult to process, a little frustrating...and just a little strange.

~ Memory Lane ~
First off, there was of course the air of disagreement between the students regarding Bastion's words regarding their rescue of him. Though he himself didn't take it personally, Nico certainly had a few words to say. Most of them, Stahl agreed with, but naturally her choice of words were...not quite the angle he would've gone with. The other male, whose name was still somehow a complete enigma, seemed to take the teacher's side, apologising without a second thought. After some thought, Stahl did see the point in Bastion's lecture, but it still didn't sit right with him that them wanting to help would be reprimanded. Last but certainly not least, Becca seemed to have taken the words to heart the hardest...even though he was a little further away, he could see her expression, could see the tears start to form in her eyes. Though he had shifted to approach, the other male had the same idea, already close enough to step into her line of sight. Stahl wasn't quite sure exactly what happened in the seconds that followed as the red-eyed male placed his hands on her shoulders, but Becca's crying only seemed to increase as she leaned into him.

As this transpired, Stahl had only seconds to ponder what was going on before a noise entered his ears, soon followed by a slightly familiar voice. Turning to find the teacher that had operated the shooting booth, the conversation that happened between her and Nico was...not pleasant, that much could be said. Heated words were traded, truths seemed to be revealed...and the last thing he expected to have seen, Stahl just faintly caught sight of tears in Nico's eyes as well as she stormed over to one of the dining hall's walls. As things started to quiet down, Stahl could only really focus on one thing now: How utterly useless he seemed to be in this immediate situation. He bit his lip...he was just standing here slackjawed as emotions were running high...but what could he even do about it? All his life, he wanted to base his being around helping others, be they Human, plant or otherwise, but what could he actually do?

As he reached out to rub at his forehead, a slight headach having made itself known, when he felt his mic still firmly held in place. Slowly taking it out, he glanced at it for a moment, then looked over to Nico. It wasn't going to be his best idea today, but at least it was better than just standing there like an idiot. Stahl approached, holding back any comment in response to any comments the female made...they may have been a little biting, but he could see her frustration wasn't really because of him. He placed the mic on the nearest table, also gave a few parting words. "Listen, I'm not even going to pretend I know what you're going through...and I'm sure you don't need to hear any pity...'specially from someone like me..." He said, somewhat muttering the last part. "But I'm not here to talk about that...I just...for the record, I agree with you." He told her, glancing briefly back over at Zara and Bastion as they conversed. "We did what we thought was right. We used our powers for the sake of someone's safety. As far as I care, that's good enough." As he turned to leave, he paused, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly as he glanced back at Nico. "Oh, and uhh, I owe you for before...trying to cheer me up that is. Just say the word and I'll help with anything I can...within reason of course." He added, offering a light smile.

It was as he was turning away from Nico that he noticed the other male, Becca still clutching him as they stood, staring right at Stahl. It gave him pause, but he did start moving as he was gestured to approach. The closer he got, the clearer it was to hear the blue-haired girl's sobs...it made his stomach sink a little and his expression twist in concern once more. Once he was close enough, however, that was soon changed into a look of surprise as the other male shifted Becca towards him, right until they were barely a foot apart. Stahl froze mostly, looking quickly to the strawberry boy as if to try and figure out what he was doing, but before he knew it, Stahl felt something change on the inside. Calm...not the usual calm he often held...something new, almost alien, like it had been suggested into his mind. Whatever the case, his moment of panic was gone, fading as his attention shifted back to Rebecca. Though he was now calm, the concern was still there...as well as the urge to help her. This calm, however, also blocked any form of hesitation as Stahl lightly wrapped an arm around Becca's shoulders, pulling her that fraction closer until his free hand could guide her head to his shoulder. Closing his eyes, Stahl thought of the only thing he knew in terms of trying to reassure another person. "Shh...it's all going to be alright." He said softly, the memory of a song shifting to the forefront of his concentration. Gently, Stahl sarted to Hum a little tune, one that he remembered keeping himself in a time of panic. Stahl didn't know how long they stood there for, but he did not stop until Becca was well and truly done crying. Naturally, as they started to break away, the male offering a warm smile, the calmness left his body unexpectedly, causing the nervousness that would've appeared normally to make an appearance. Finally, they were instructed to go to their dorms, the day, the event and this entire ordeal coming to a close

So caught in thought about the past evens, Stahl barely registered that his feet finally stopped in front of the Alaric dorms, blinking mildly as he snapped out of it. "So this is it." He said under his breath as he made his way through the doors, duffle bag still hanging from his shoulder. Stahl wasn't sure to be surpsied or unsurprised to find other students already here...though he did blink when his eyes briefly landed on a certain blue-haired girl. He wasn't exactly sure how it didn't click that Becca was an Alaric as well, wearing the school colors already, but then again there were only four houses...the chances of being in the same one as her, Nico or the other male was definitely possible. Since it looked as though she was already mid-conversation with a few people, he would simply offer a still-handed wave and light smile in greeting if she saw him before letting his gaze wander around the immdeiate area. It was....blue...literally. Though it wasn't quite what he'd pick if he had a choice, it was oddly calming. Emerald Gaze travelling further, he watched the other inhabitants curiosuly. These were his housemates...but what would that entail? Would they all have similar classes? Were their personalities or interests similar? Would they all get along? That aside, how were they feeling about the events just gone? As he moved to an unoccupied seat to set his bag down and let his shoulder rest for a moment, more and more questions filled his head...the only decisions to make now were whether he voice them, which to start with and who to ask.

"Quite nice, where I'm from it's always so stormy around this time of year."

The astonishment could not be hidden from view. Eye’s widening up a bit, very much taken aback by the other’s response. Their eye’s blinking a few times to register the girl’s words. Their voice was as warm as a sunny day. The gloom that housed in the child’s attic were making way for this ray of sunshine.’Did….did she respond to me? Didn’t she think that my words were odd? Did...did she know? Is she...a nice person too?!’ Recognition had to be given to this particular….someone. Their name was unbeknownst to the other but that didn’t place a damper on this tingly sensation. ’This person is so nice! I wonder if they can be my social buddy too?! But I don’t want to inconvenience them! Oh but if what if their too nice like Stahl...’ Having that name thought of brought back the past. It wasn’t even that far off. Rough warm hands encased her shoulders, while her head had nestled upon his shoulders. Even then did she think that he was a nice person. She was right with her unlocked achievement. Someone as kind and sweet as Stahl was someone she felt like she could trust. If that trust was broken, it would undoubtedly shatter this innocent little girl. The music that had sprung from the well-known mouth was key. Who would have assumed that someone would have done something for them? It was tender, pleasant, endearing. There was certainly an effect when a sobbing child was more attentive to the melody than their own turmoil. The tenderness wasn’t very long though, no, it came to an end when they all went to their respective dorms. The two were bound to meet again considering they would be sharing the same home for the time to come.

"Spring usually brings mud slides, summer heavy rain and scorching sun, fall rather peaceful and winter a royal pain. But that's what you get for living on a mountain. But the weather here is a delightful change of pace at least."

Next, it was the fox that spoken. Their voice sounded upbeat as if the transactions of today hadn’t placed a single damper on them. These two individuals, either they were very good at hiding their own unrest or an event like this was quite normal to them. It had an odd sensation. Seeing people talk about in a calm and friendly manner made it seem like today...wasn’t so bad. Yes, many people were hurt and probably killed in this whole mess. With that said, when those blue globes looked at these two with their mouth’s twinkling like a star in the sky, it felt like everything was okay. Back to the bleached boy. Their words gave quite the insight into their life. It seemed like, just like an actual fox, they resided on a mountain. It sounded rather lonesome to live in an isolated place. It wasn’t quite as bad since solitude and muffled noises were probably a far better location for someone like her.

"I am Asha, This is Magnus and that is Akihiko.."

It was sunshine’s turn to speak! Rebecca was quite attentive when the gray-haired girl motioned to the other two males. ’Asha….her hair does remind me of ash. I wonder if there is any meaning behind that name? I would have thought she would have something more….how to put it….sunshiney? Something like ash doesn’t fit her image. Then I guess that means that the mountain boy is Akihiko. That name sounds more suited to be in an anime than it does to be here. Oh! I wonder if that means he’s from Japan! I wonder if he knows about the latest animes! Then that over there must be Magnus…..he is kind of scary. He isn’t saying anything but he keeps staring. I know I said I wanted to be beep We apologize for this intermission. Apparently, their thoughts have gone to an age-restricted material. Due to such restrictions, we apologize once again for interrupting your reading. We now resume to a somewhat wholesome reading.

Rebecca’s fingers interlaced behind her back. A different set of emotions taking hold of a frail heart. Something from before was stirring, and their body was in a jumble of a mess. Though they had to put on an act for a little bit, just until they could wander into their room so that they can BEEP. They certainly had time to talk for a bit before the child could find solace in their room. Though the layout of the bedroom would be a mystery. Nothing was mentioned as to how the rooms were set up and by who. For all Rebecca knew, their roommate could be right in front of them and they would be none the wiser. ’Careful, hole it in. Just be a little bit more patient until we can get into my room.’ Transitioning from nerves to excitement, their body shook and tingled for the upcoming events. It had been a long day...a very long day.

"We all met at...We met earlier.. Had no idea we would all be in the same house though."

Such sweet music was coming from those luscious lips! It was hard to contain these sensations while the girl spoke in a delightful tone. Their fantasies danced as BEEP...This was getting to be a bit much as a crimson faded onto her face. Maybe the only one who could feel or view their discomfort was the only mute in the room. The child glanced at different colored eyes but they weren’t strong enough for that. She pulled those blues away and tried keeping it on something wholesome.

"Akihiko was just reading these cards. I'm honestly not too sure what they are? He called me a priestess and Magnus a hermit."

Ashe motioned toward the more friendly male in the room. Cards in hand while appearing amused by their results. They chuckled before responding to the gray one’s curiosity.

"What Asha was referring to these cards, are Tarot cards. They help give one a... Even when the human kitsune spoke, they were overly very pleasing and pleasant. Showing both the Priestess and Strength card, apparently, each one had a symbol for each one. It felt like something that could be remembered but the girl wasn’t quite sure as to how much she could believe in it. At least, that was how she thought when her card came up. Either there was some technical difficulty or the boy was baffled by the results. They had to shuffle their deck multiple times before they could be happy with their answer.

                                                        "....Ok third time the try~?"
"Well, Three out of three times i got the strength card.... That scared the living daylights out of her! Rebecca physically jolted right after his explanation. That was too much on the dot. ’How?! Is this his peculiarity?! Is he able to use these cards to get a grasp on someone’s personality? Then...then...then he’s telling everyone exactly what I am! I-I-I-I-’ Becca could not hide how flustered she was becoming over the explanation of these cards. Whether they thought it was because she grew sensitive about the sensual topic or not….was their choice to make.

                                                        "Oh!
What's your name? So rude, I forgot to ask."

Finally! Something that could distract the girl a bit to get away at how scary Akihiko’s prediction was.
”Rebecca Shusona! It’s Rebecca Shusona and-and everyone has troubles!” The words were blurted out without giving much thought to them. Now hands clasped that dainty mouth while she felt like she could hardly contain herself. This was just becoming a bit too much for her. Already hitting her limits, their body quaking for a multitude of things. From the corner of her eyes, she saw someone that didn’t need to be seen at this moment. A mix of green and brown caught her attention and for one reason or another, the sound of a wrapper too. There was just too much right now.
”I-I-I’m sorry! Please excuse myself, I have to go!” She was physically red in the face, completely and utterly flustered as she grabbed her items in order to go to her room.

All those at the Academy were evacuated from the largely populated outdoors areas, and back into their dormitories. Coasting along behind the crowds filtering back inside, Kotori strolled without much purpose to his movements. As if having no intention to be hurried along. Though, that may be due in part to the fact he didn't really understand what had happened. Apparently he was late to the game, although he wouldn't consider this a game where enemies were involved. Honestly, 'What the devil did I miss, villains got into the school?' Being updated on the situation as he rubber necked into the gossip and conversations going on between students that had witnessed the majority of the chaos.

tab tab No one really paid him any mind, as Kotori drifted along like the breeze, keeping an ear out for any other tidbits of information. Granted, the last thing he needed was to be involved in some hostage crisis, or grand villainy. But, if he was being honest, Kotori was bummed to have missed the action. Was he an adrenaline junky? No, but it didn't mean he wasn't curious to see these troublemakers that wanted to cause the Academy a hassle. Whistling lightly to himself, hands ensconced in his sleeves. Looking around at the others congregated in the common room, Kotori took a seat on the couch nearest the view of the ceiling aquarium. Raising his eyes to the clear glass, following the fishes movements through the contained bit of water, listening to the chatter of others in the room.

Asha was excited when Akihiko began explaining the cards. She really did want to know the meaning behind them and it was nice to be learning something new. She nodded her head as Aki gave his explanation, telling them that the cards purpose was to help the individual getting read to understand the path they’re currently on and how to better it. Asha was interested, how could a card pulled at random understand anyone’s needs?? She laughed under her breath and shook her head. Not wanting to get too caught up in the wonder and miss important things Aki had to share. Hearing the meaning behind the priestess really did peak her interest. Being told it meant Hidden knowledge, untapped power, wisdom, mystery and patience were a lot of qualities Asha did in fact possess. She wondered if untapped power meant something more though. She was told all that her power would come to, and most were already beginning to show. But maybe she possessed more? She laughed lightly at Aki’s sudden comment. ”I’ve had my fair share of doing that.” She spoke with a laugh, bringing her hand up to run her nails over her scalp, fluffing her hair at the same time.
Her attention turned to Magnus as the fox began to speak about his card meaning. Wondering if the name was a insult along with the card. Her eyebrow lifted as Aki explained, wondering if this card held as much truth for her emotionless companion as it did herself.
”What do you think, Magnus. Is that pretty on the dot for you?” If the card was right Magnus didn’t enjoy being the center of attention. Maybe this would draw an emotion out of the wandering hermit. Asha would wait a moment to see if he would respond or not, before pulling her attention back to Akihiko. She was surprised to see him shuffling the cards so many times when it came time to read for the blue haired girl beside her. The action honestly made her worry a little bit, why would he not like the first answer that came to pass for her?
"Well, Three out of three times i got the strength card.... As you can see, it is always portrayed as a young woman and a lion. This card symbolizes an imagery beyond the Beast And Beauty, and is associated with the morality about the stronger power of self-control, gentleness, courage and virtue over brute force. In short and sweet version. Do you side the woman and use humanity, or would you rather side with the lion and feed your primal urges, whatever that may be." Asha was interested in this result. She would have liked to question the card, but with a quick glance to the girl, her physical response had worry shooting down her own spine. White orbs scanned the girl quickly, taking in every action she made. Sudden shaking, Redness spreading over her cheeks, eyes flicking side to side rapidly. Almost as though a storm was barreling through the girl’s mind, destroying everything in sight. She was frightened. Asha knew this reaction all to well, it was close to the same reactions her little sisters made at the Monastery, when caught doing something they shouldn’t. Asha was quick to throw something out and aid the girls mind so she wouldn’t explode! ”Oh! What’s your name? How rude of me I forgot to ask.” She quickly blurted out. Letting her awkwardness show threw as she fell into a shy stance, hoping to help the poor girl.
”Rebecca Shusona! It’s Rebecca Shusona and-and everyone has troubles!” Backfire. The girl swiftly slapped a hand over her mouth. Physically trying to stop herself from speaking now. Asha’s eyes shot to Aki and magnus, easily showcasing the worry in her mind. She wanted to fix this, but she had no idea how. There were maybe things in Aki’s prediction card that could have triggered this response. Did it have something to do with her Ability? Was there a dark past she was worried about exposing. Asha didn’t want to push the girl but she wanted to help. Rebecca quickly spoke out once more, apologizing then excusing herself to leave. Trembling as she grabbed her belongings and bolted for the rooms.
All was silent between the three now. Or two, Magnus was usually quiet. If someone tried to follow after Rebecca, Asha would throw out a hand stopping them. ”I think if she wants to talk to someone right now.. It needs to be a girl.” Asha’s voice was soft as she murmured under her breath so no one else could hear her, other than the two men she directed it to. Her eyes took a second to flick to the others in the room now. First settling on a boy with multi-colored hair, then to the person standing in the corner of the room, unwrapping some type of sweet it looked to be. There was another person moving in now, making himself comfortable on the couch nearby. She was unsure what he heard, but assumed it could not be much. ”Im going to head to my room, if I see her, i’ll talk to her. And find you later tonight to figure out how to fix this.. If not. She might want to be left alone.. In need of her own space right now.. Okay?” Asha spoke mostly towards Akihiko. Who probably felt guilty for causing a reaction such as that. But Asha figured she knew women better than he would , and hopefully he would understand where she was coming from. The girl would honestly want things fixed between the two, seeing as they would be seeing each other often enough. She would want to be on good terms with all the people in this house.

The sun was up and so was she, however you wish to take that statement is up to you. Adorned with the school uniform, the young lass entered the living room. The fish that swam to and fro had a very calming effect on the young one. Their sparkly sky opticals watched as a school of aquatic life swam past the human and out of sight. Perhaps there was more to this tank that could be seen beyond their field of vision. It was a nice thought. To ponder about the space the tank could fill up tickled her in a funny spot. It probably what made them an Alaric member to begin with. They did like knowledge, to be in the know. Knowing what was happening in the here and now, knowing what had happened, and getting an understanding of what could happen had its perks. Yes, the young adult did have quite the peculiar peculiarity. It was probably one of those abilities that could easily decide the tide of a fight, where people were eager to get their hands on...where someone might sought out for their own pleasures. Looking at the tank, a comparison could be made. They were an awful lot like the tank. They were see-through, transparent for what could be seen. Then, when the tank vanished within the walls, you would be unsure what was truly there. You could imagine the corners, the debris, the dead fish that may have been pushed out of sight. A lot of the impurities that came with the tank were hidden...a lot like her own.

Yes, her exterior attitude flipped flopped depending on the people she interacted with. You might interact with the shy girl that had social problems. Once you were able to melt that exterior away, you could see a happy-go-lucky girl who possessed an abnormal amount of confidence. Then...was there something beyond it? How much of the impurities could someone see in her or was this narrator trying too hard to give her a child a sad backstory?

Moving on then. Miss. Shusona seated themselves down upon the comforts of the Alaric’s sofa. It appeared that no one else was present in the dorm. ’I think people are still asleep. Since we don’t have class today I think I can get some more reading done. I’ll need to study hard if I’m going to get out of school on time!’ Clenching their small fist, the girl seemed ready to take on any obstacle. Since a few months had passed, things were slowly becoming commonplace. There was once a time that the creature stuttered amongst her peers when it came to greetings. When putting the greetings into practice with a number of individuals, Rebecca was finally able to speak to people without stuttering! It was a grand accomplishment and she had someone to thank for that. There was another individual who helped. Though they communicated more through letters and texts, even this violet-haired girl was able to get a bit of normal established in her. Now, they were able to hold a conversation that didn’t involve anything of a particular subject. A giraffe had made sure of that. Quite a bit of research had to be done on her end as to what people talked about on a day-to-day basis. Web results came out with a list but the blue-eyed girl kept her ears open. Listening to people’s conversation, listening to how what they talked about, watching how they communicated; it helped tremendously!

For now, their only pass time needed to be done with the book in their hands. It was a book about how to make friends! Supposedly, it was a book that would get the girl one step closer in trying to reach her target. What that target was, let us keep that a bit of a secret between you and me wink . It was a book recommended by the Librarian. Akil was someone Rebecca was able to get close to quite quickly….compared to others. The man didn’t judge her. Even when knowing some of her most intimate moments, the man was able to welcome her with open arms. Apparently, the two were like two peas in a pod! There was a connection between the two and the two were able to form a bond of trust! After all, she might not have picked up Do You Want To Be My Friend? from the Library.

Thus, without further ado, they opened up the book and began the immersion into knowledge.

♣As per usual, the machine traits of this silent man allowed actions of surprising activity, such as waking up and immediately rising out of bed, never lazy, never slow. Orbs of separate colors scanned the room to identify if all things were as the day before, and the skinny body made its way towards all the needed tasks for an appropriate time out of his room. Teeth brushed, hair carefully treated with a comb, face watered gently as moist hands massaged it, and then came the dressing part, made swiftly so that the uniform was nicely adorning his slim physique with the most formal patterns possible, in the fastest time possible. With all of that completed, it was the moment to exit the room and make way to the common room, as there was yet no current obligations to attend to, leaving the hollow one with nothing to do besides perhaps interacting with other students or investigating more interesting areas and objects by himself, the regular experience to the young blond. Looking back a single time more to the dorm room, Magnus made certain that all things were correct, nothing out of place. Then, it was all a matter of grabbing the door handle, twisting it, and walking out, closing the entrance to the room gently before moving through the hall towards the common area.

Upon arrival, the eyes of an empty soul went over the entire scene and took notice of a single invidivual there. From head to toe, fast enough to not look utterly suspicious with his presence standing there like a statue briefly, the black hole creator analyzed the woman and remembered her from times before, either from their strange first encounter, with the lady running off, but also of expected events of seeing her around the dorm area, as they shared the building. Albeit, in different rooms. The sight of this peculiar man fell on the book capturing all the attention of that female, Rebecca by what memories brought him. From where he stood, the tall one could not accurately determine the title, or any information of it, for that matter, if not from the colors dominating the object, on the cover and back cover.

While not appearing to truly care for the nature of said book, the situation was an opportunity to indulge into social activities, and Magnus seemed to understand that, while unaware of the possibilities of her not looking to talk to a soul as the reading was likely much interesting to those blue eyes, carrying hidden potential of odd things. The blond student, fearless and objective, began to approach to feminine figure with a casual walk, keeping fingers intertwined as slim hands of bony aesthetic connected by the palm behind his waist. When in close range, his monotone voice, somewhat deep but mechanical, directed itself to Rebecca. " Excuse me, I believe our paths have crossed before" ,a right hand moved around his mid section, unwrapping itself from the left, and became extended towards the one with the violet hair, hoping for a peaceful and formal handshake. "I'm Magnus, wishing a good day for you, Rebecca. Would it be a bother for me to ask the contents of the book in your hands?" ,odd as usual, the young male spoke to the other youth in a strange manner, the norm to his speech. The expression of his face neutral in entirety, no feeling behind his gaze, but this was an attempt of being 'friendly', in a way.♣

The passage being read was one about showing affection to those labeled as friends. There were various hints and concerns within the section. It pointed out that depending on the culture, one form of affection could be considered an insult. An individual that came from a conservative background would not be open to being suddenly hugged, touched, or for anyone to be within a certain distance. ’This almost sounds like Hwan. I wonder if it has something to do with him being Korean. Does Korea have a conservative background? But Han doesn’t seem to be too bothered about affection. He was actually pretty good about it with Yasu. Oh, but since Yasu and Han are dating I guess that is a given? Do people go into relationships that quickly? Wait, no! I didn’t;t even phrase that right in my head. People can make whatever relationship they want! Maybe I’m not used to social life still. I’m really not a person who can talk about relationships….’ Internally they sighed while their eyes stayed glued on the word relation. Their mind had stopped processing the book while it was distracted with more recent events.

Another Alaric resident entered the Common Room, that was quite common (hahaha, get it). The room was the passage between entering your room and exiting the dorms. Though, there were probably other ways one could enter their room without having to go through this particular room. Be that as it may, most in the Alaric Dorms seemed to not go through their room’s windows. It was probably more of a hassle....unless you were avoiding someone.

When someone spoke, that grabbed the student’s attention. The owner of the voice held little emotion contrasted with the various tones that slipped past each individual’s lips. It was neutral, it didn’t hold a hint of their inner workings. The words were polite, at least the child knew this much. Salmon-colored lips turned in a direction that defied gravity. Their head bobbed a little in greeting.
”Good morning Magnus! You’re up nice and early.” ’That’s interesting! I don’t think I’ve talked much to him. He always seemed like someone who was a bit difficult to talk to. But not this time! This time, I’ve got experience under my belt! I’ve farmed with all the interactions I’ve done! This shouldn’t be too hard!’ Internally, the female felt fired up as she looked at this delightful challenge. Magnus seemed like the type to keep to himself. Rebecca viewed this as a opportunity to gain more insight to people who seemed a bit difficult to approach

Those seeing devices departed from a pair of different colored eyes to the book within her hand. A piece of white scrap paper served as a bookmark, one that was kept at their side. Closing the book up, the object was held up for the fellow Alaric member to see.
”It’s a book about making friends. Have you read it before? The Librarian recommended this to me so I wanted to give it a try. I think there’s a saying…..ummm….don’t try it till you knock it or was it the other way around?” Their face scrunched up as they tried to recollect the actual saying. Their hand lifting up to their chin as they further contemplated on it. ’Am I just making myself to look like a fool? What if...what if being an Alaric means that you have a certain degree of intelligence?! What if they find out I’m not that smart and that it is just through hard work?! What if I get kicked out of the school because I’m not Alaric enough to be in this house. Then it would look like I lied my way into the dorm and that might be enough to kick me out of the school! Why do I do this to myself….’ She was internally struggling with these thoughts, yet that somehow didn’t spill on her face.

♣Remaining unchanged, the expression of sheer emptiness continued to gaze down at the female with a single nod following the response to her comment on the tall one being up early, and nicely in doing so. "Time optimization is vital for the appearance of organization and productivity" ,the male's voice told forth, golden locks of a fair tone swaying along to the head's movement, the nod a mere action of higher confirmation learned previously. And moving along the interaction, deathly right hand of thick veins adorning reached out to run a finger over the cover, taking in the texture of the book held out towards his figure by the one of smaller frame. Orbs of fresh grass and crystal clear waters followed along each letter in what could only be explained as thoughtful reading, despite being known for being somewhat thoughtless. A strange existence without formal explanation, theories of the widest ranges having a better opportunity of understanding, and defining, this odd creature of weak physical prowess, but immense power simultaneously.

The dampening gaze of that attractive face shifted patiently to meet the blue eyes of a curious soul, her words entering the void of his conscience and getting processed by indescribable logic. The bony large hand lowered down to the male's sides, loosely so in comparison to the firm posture kept standing, "I have not, would it trouble you to lend it to me if you finish the read in time?" It was not clear whether the book was acquired for a limited period of time or if the book was in that girl's possession freely, to deliver back at her leisure. Even so, the most correct would be to believe there was a set date to return it, and perhaps it would be useful to gain that wisdom as not only Rebecca, but Magnus himself dealt with difficulty on such a considerably easy matter. Yet, having words exchanged enough, the atmosphere of friendly interaction was set and the male was socially allowed to take a seat near the woman, right besides her to be more especific. His hands rested on the bent knees, the back neatly vertical without any unnecessary strain on his muscles and bones. Gently in doing so, his head turned to Rebecca, his height above hers but without intimidating. In his own eyes, at least, it was still too soon to guess through his own observations what the one of opposite gender described him as. Or what precise words would she use. Feeling like her open nature would allow for the momentary enlargement of their conversation, Magnus kept his silence and waited for her words.♣
