How did I get this job? Well... Most job opportunities just didn't interest me but I always liked books so the thought of working in a library was appealing
The things I love about this job are Having access to so many books, talking to people who are interested in books and history, the quiet non-chaotic atmosphere, organising events to entice kids into reading, the building itself
The things I despise about this job are People leaving the library messy and expecting the librarians to tidy after them, stubborn people who don't listen no matter how often you repeat something, people being too disruptive forcing me to make them settle down, improper book shelving, gatekeepers
