tab The world falls still as the most hallowed of nights begins to fall on a world that knew no fear. At least, not as it was truly meant to be felt. As some slumber tucked into their bedrolls, as others curl into the arms of their lovers or tread the paths of life under the light of the full moon the darkest, deepest recesses of their souls began to twitch. A primal fear of something nameless, something that once ravished the world and left such a swathe of devastation that it ingrained itself into the human spirit. Passed down from parent to child, whether human or animal, this memory was such that its barest touch gave rise to an instinctual despair that caused the entire planet for one, silent moment to become still, a collective breath being held in anticipation. Of what, exactly, was difficult to describe or understand, with only some manner of black presence pressing against their subconscious. Yet the waiting would not be that long, not nearly as long as might well have been desired.

tab A sickening twist within the very soul of the individual would be felt, a sickness that couldn't be described as a feeling, but more as an existence. Tainted by some primordial horror the feeling creeps up your skin, twitching and twisting within your inner selves as you are moved out of sync with yourselves. Almost an out of body experience, you cast your gaze upon a reflection of who and what you are, and then...

tab Back where you left off, where you last remember being. And yet there is something...off. The dark is darker, the light sharper, with edges more defined in stark contrast to their surroundings. Silence reigns for several moments before a sound rises from the distance: clacking. Moaning. The clangor of battle. Somewhere, the war has begun.

__________________Choose a Side...
tab Hello, and welcome to our Halloween Event! We here at Shattered Past: Shinobi Strike find that the true test of Halloween is not who gets the most candy, but which side of the War you find yourself on. What war? Why, the Great Skeleton War, of course! It's that time again, where the Spooks and the Skellies awaken from their graves and due battle upon the fields of honor to establish once and for all which is the greater horror monster trope! Yet how can this be decided when the ghosts and skeletons cannot interact? Why, you of course! This is the truth of this war, that it is the living, the members who observe and participate, who will battle upon the fields against the opposing sides' interests until the final night of Halloween, in which the true Halloween King is crowned! How does this work? Well, listen closely:
tab • Every Member of the guild must select, for each of their characters, which side of this war they will represent. This can be an In Character of Out of Character decision. Either way, from this point on that character will represent their side in the war. Post your selections below with the proper form.
tab • Next, fulfill missions and tasks, beat down the Spooks and Skellies! Each opponent is labeled with a Rank of difficulty, but don't let those fool you! Unlike normal, an S - ranked hurdle can be something even an E - rank can accomplish, and refers to the time it takes to complete it, the complexity of the tasks, and just what the end result is! For a limited time only, the rewards for these hurdles will not be the normal amount, and thus an S - ranked mission wouldn't bestow the 3,000 Experience it normally would.
tab • For the duration of this event the Energy Pools of characters, from Chakra to Stamina, are completely limitless. This doesn't mean you won't suffer the ill effects of using techniques too high for what you can normally make.
tab • Each time a mission is complete, a task finished, something learned, the team associated with the character, whether Spook or Skeleton, will receive a point. One point [1] per Rank of the task/encounter. Everyone who participates gets a prize on Halloween, but the team who wins? They get something a little more...special!
tab • A Special location called the Slumbering Wastes will be made within the Land of the Dead forum. What is this? During this guild's event your characters can "continue" where you left off, in regards to training, to learning, to performing actions like crafting and exploring. Chaotic, yes, but after the event is over you will receive full credit for all you've done there instantly.
