Cheshire is a county in North West England, with a population of roughly 1 million. Its county town is Chester, and its largest town is Warrington. The county covers about 900 square miles and is mostly rural, involved in the agricultural industry and the famous Cheshire Cheese. Cattle are the predominant livestock. Cheshire remains popular among tourists, and is famously the home of author Lewis Carroll, who named his mischievous Cheshire Cat after the region.
