「PERSONALITY」

Lost Woods is always... lost. His name is fitting for his ability to somehow never fully hear directions or comprehend a map. While he's incredibly intelligent, he just has no sense of direction. It doesn't matter how comprehensive your directions are. You either need to go with him, or just understand he's going to end up somewhere completely different. Lost Woods doesn't mean to be so absent minded when it comes to traveling. He just... gets distracted. He's a terrible traveler, despite the fact he's constantly traveling. Lost Woods enjoys the feeling of the outdoors, regardless of the fact he has no idea where he is going.

He also can easily get lost in conversation. He doesn't handle multiple stimulus very well and can get confused and overwhelmed easily. Lost Woods is very monotone and quiet, although he does enjoy meeting other ponies. He just struggles with groups. The constant shifting of conversation and voices get lost somewhere and Lost Woods often has to remove himself from such situations. As a result, he can be confusing to talk to. He might forget the conversation entirely and answer in relation to whatever he's thinking about, or he might even just not hear you speaking to him.

Unfortunately, Lost Woods is not only aware of how confusing he can be but also ashamed. He has a hard time seeing himself as someone who might interest others. Instead, he constantly puts himself down as "annoying" and "stupid." This has a lot to do with how his mother treated him, honestly. His low self-esteem doesn't manifest verbally often, but it's in there in his mind. This means any attempt to romance him is often disregarded. He doesn't see why anyone would be interested in him. You need to be incredibly blunt before he'd get the hint.

Lost Woods cares deeply for his friends. He'd do a lot for them. While he's a very gentle and quiet soul, he would put himself in-between a loved one and danger. He can be self sacrificing and doesn't regard his own safety. The ponies around him are more important in his eyes.

「BIOGRAPHY」

Lost Woods was not wanted or planned. His mother was a Ghoulie who had a one night stand with a Dragon who had an intense crush on her. She ended up pregnant and returned to her small village with the intent to hand him off on someone. Unfortunately, this never ended up happening. Somewhere along the line she decided she'd try mothering out. This was a terrible idea, as by the time he arrived all she had prepared was a crib and one singular blanket.

He was ignored as an infant and she did not go through the steps to ensure bonding. He slept alone, he cried for hours for food and she'd wait him out in hopes to train him out of crying. He had no toys and never cuddled with his mother. It was a rough beginning of his life.

His mother was annoyed with him as a child. He was constantly getting lost. It came to the point she'd snap at him to just stay lost and not find his way home. She called him stupid and spoke down to him his entire childhood. She would promise to let him meet his father and then take it away the next time he did something she deemed unfit. She made sure he knew she had wanted to give him up as an infant and kept threatening to send him to an orphanage each time he displayed a trait she didn't like.

This, of course, made his self-esteem plummet. He began to go outside more and more to get away from her, despite the fact he'd always be lost for hours. He became scared of her as her temper rose. She began threatening to let him starve and reminding him that he was and always would be unwanted. Her tail would laugh during these moments. Lost Woods developed a phobia of Ghoulies, as every time he met one all he could see was her mocking tail and cruel eyes.

He was sent to boarding school as a late teenager. Lost Woods was grateful for the separation and did not come home during summers. Instead he stayed at the school and helped with cleaning and cooking in return.

As an adult he immediately got a tent and a few camping supplies and set out. He did not speak to his mother or let her know about his intentions to never return. He made bits by doing small tasks from town to town and eventually saved enough for a small home in Everville. He kept traveling and doing odd jobs here and there. It made him happy.
