「PERSONALITY」
Seraphim is guarded. Most would call her an assortment of negative terms, but Seraphim tries not to let it bother her. She's tired, hating her domain more than anything and resenting the job she's forced to do. She never asked to be the Alicorn of Fertility, but here she is. She's expected to do her duty without complaining and swiftly, or else the entire population could fall apart. She hates that stress and expectation. She feels like her life was decided for her.
As a result, Seraphim is full of tension and doesn't get close to other ponies. She just has so much to do. That, and she can't tell who befriends her for legitimate purposes and who doesn't. It's too much, and she's close to snapping. She wants to be free, but she never can be. This has created a very stressed Alicorn who gets her frustrations out by messing with her domain. While she's been threatened by The Four for not doing her duty, she's realized they don't care if she overly does it. So she'll find ponies who are just friends and present them magically created children, or make rivals parents. It's not okay and hasn't made her feel better yet, but she feels like she has more control.
That's really all she wants; control over her choices. Seraphim is very stubborn and will not let anyone make her decisions for her (unless you're The Four). She's desperate to make her own decisions and not be controlled by her duties. It's hard, honestly, especially when constantly at work. She tries, though, and she does so with passion. She likes to try new things when she can and likes even more asserting herself.
Seraphim is impulsive and direct. While she may refuse to let ponies close to her, she has no qualms being 100% honest to a pony. This can come off cold and bitter, and half the time it is. This also may manifest in her showing her deeper feelings, which can benefit another or not. She doesn't refrain from how she feels. If she wants to laugh she will. If she wants to snap she'll do so. Unfortunately, paired with her impulsive tendencies, Seraphim has a habit of doing things she'll later regret in the heat of things. This makes her feel bad, especially because it's another case of her being unable to control her life.
She can be friendly and someone enjoyable to be around, but one must get past the multitude of barriers she has. Most don't want to. Hell, she doesn't want them to. Seraphim likes things like romantic novels, libraries, hot chocolate, rain, and a warm blanket. She wants comfort and prefers a cozy lifestyle, but she doesn't like doing those things around others. Usually, when she's trying to enjoy a book at the library she finds herself bombarded by clients trying to get her help without setting up an appointment. It's incredibly hard, as a result, to find her in a non-work setting.
Seraphim is very protective of those she does befriend. It's rare for her to make new friends, so the ones she does have she'll burn the world down for.

█ || Magical Birth ⋯ Can mix together the genes of three parents to create a child without pregnancy involved. Child is instantly born as a newborn. Child goes through same life stages as any other child. Can make multiple children for the parents involved, but cannot create more than five at a time. Infants are born in a puff of glitter and smoke into her arms and it is up to Seraphim to put them in a basket and drop them at a parents home/arms.
█ || Fertility Up ⋯ Can increase a ponies fertility for up to 48 hours. This does not effect those actually infertile for any given reason.
█ || True Desire ⋯ Can sense if someone desires children as long as the pony is within eyesight.
█ || It's a....! ⋯ Can sense the sex of a baby when touching the stomach of a pregnant pony.

「BIOGRAPHY」
█ || Basket ⋯
Her mother was the Alicorn of Fertility and her father was a small Pegasus. Her mother was delighted to have twins and during her pregnancy spent most of her time decorating the baby room and planning their future. She had tried for years to have children and now that it finally was happening she threw herself into embracing her motherhood. Her husband was more reserved, notably worried about his frail wife and upcoming birth. If it had been him he would have wanted them to magically be born, but his wife had other plans. She had always wanted to be pregnant.
Unfortunately, his worse fears were confirmed. Birth was too hard on her and she ended up dying as she delivered them. Heartbroken and shattered, he took his twins back home and struggled to give them the love he knew his wife would have provided. After all, they looked just like his late wife, and that alone was hard enough. They weren't her, and he was just a Pegasus. He had no clue how to raise two Alicorns who looked so like the woman he desperately missed.
So he gave them to a local orphanage and vanished into his despair.

Seraphim and Valentine struggled as foals. Valentine discovered his domain almost immediately and his sister discovered hers when she touched the stomach of a teacher. Alicorns always struggled to find homes, as orphanages were very aware not everyone had best intentions and were looking for the perfect family.
Seraphim discovering her domain frightened the orphanage immediately, as her domain was one notoriously known to be difficult to be saddled with. She would be solely responsible for a big percentage of ponies having children. Many ponies would need help making their families and she'd be responsible for it all. Concerned about what to do, they contacted the palaces. Spira offered Seraphim a room in her castle, where she'd be trained properly. The orphanage attempted to separate Valentine and Seraphim, but it became clear neither would let go of the other. To avoid further trauma, both were sent to live at the Spring Palace.
Seraphim and Valentine were trained how to use their powers properly and given a rather cold childhood. While both had anything material-wise they needed, Spira never was a parent and only saw them once a year during the annual Spring Banquet. Their teachers and the servants had no desire to be close to them. As a result, they both clung to one another.

█ || Adult ⋯
The moment they became adults Seraphim rebelled. She did not want her domain, nor did she want to be responsible for other ponies happiness. It was too much. How could she be expected to serve an entire continent? Spira had expected her to help same-sex couples as a foal, but she was too inexperienced. She could only help a few at a time. While she was growing the foal population had taken a hit, but that was expected. The Four always knew every time an Alicorn of Fertility died there was a brief time period where births rates dropped.
Now that she was an adult and properly trained, she had no excuse, and the truth of her domain was revealed to her. Summoned to the throne room the moment she hit adulthood, Spira revealed Seraphim's mother had been the previous Alicorn of Fertility. In her passing the building her mother owned had continued functioning. Doctors and nurses worked to help ponies with fertility issues, but it wasn't the same without their Alicorn; someone who could instantly help ponies in a day. It was time for her to take over the building. This building had served every Alicorn of Fertility, and now it was hers.
Seraphim rebelled. She spat at Spira's feet and refused what she thought was an offer. She didn't want to live her life serving others day in and out. She didn't want to be responsible for hundreds and thousands of births. It was too much,, and she screamed those feelings at the queen. How could one Alicorn be responsible for so many new lives coming? How could she be in-charge of the future of so many unborn souls?
She didn't want it.
Sadly, it wasn't a choice. Spira lost the smile often on her features and descend from the throne to approach the Alicorn. Coldness seeped in her words as she reminded Seraphim what happened to those who denied their domain, and what they'd do if she refused the kingdom. It didn't matter what she wanted -- the people needed her, and Spira would not take no for an answer. This was how it always had been, and it would continue to be.
Seraphim left the throne room with a wounded heart and a bag. Within a week she was sent to Everville. She inherited the business known as Giving Hooves and the staff began to fill her in on how her mother ran the business. She would, at the crack of dawn, be sent clients who had tried every method in the book or could not naturally reproduce and she would provide them answers and a fix. Seraphim was miserable, but it didn't matter.
Nothing did, except Valentine. He was allowed to go as he pleased but was warned against using his domain to destroy relationships. While he had less monitoring, he could fundamentally destroy hundreds of relationships and hurt the population if he wanted to. He was reminded his own duties. He'd partake in festivals surrounding his domain and keep his domain under check. Valentine, unlike Seraphim, had choices, and he made a choice to live in Everville with his sister.
While Valentine and Seraphim had separate homes, Valentine lived close to his sister and they frequently spent time together. Comforted by her brother and his presence, Seraphim would vent to him at night and work during day. It was just them for quite some time, and Seraphim decided she'd hold onto that brief happiness.
Until Valentine came home with a small Earth pony named Sophia. He was absolutely taken by her, a smile on his face she hadn't seen in some time. His mood lifted and soared and suddenly he was interested in his domain. So much so that the obligatory blessings became ones he sought out. He opened his own business with Sophia and blessed budding relationships. He flourished. Seraphim watched with grit teeth as the time he gave her now was given to Sophia. Valentine and Sophia married and she waited for the day they'd have small foals.
She refused to meet Sophia. Sure, they had brushed into one another during events, but Seraphim masked her distaste for Sophia by claiming she was just too busy. Valentine would see her at times Sophia was working, and he never caught on. Not until Seraphim dodged an attempt to invite her over for dinner. An attempt made by Sophia. The Alicorn spat venom at Sophia, reminding the pony she was just a "temporary" in Valentine's life. It was unlike her, but seeing her brother moving on without her stung. She was stuck, and he wasn't. He was finding his happiness elsewhere.
Then the news came that Sophia became sick. Not just the kind you cure with a warm soup and blankets. No, it was an illness that rattled her bones and ate away at her will. Valentine began to grow grey in color as he worked himself to the bone to pay for her doctors visits. Seraphim struggled internally, although ultimately decided not to visit Sophia. She doubted she'd help the already suffering pony by visiting. She might even add stress.
So she stayed away until the news came of Sophia's death. Valentine crumbled. He became a shell of the person he was and leaned onto Seraphim once more. Seraphim watched him turn into a bitter and cold pony. He began using his domain negatively, although not enough to catch The Four's attention. While he blessed relationships simply because he opened the business with his deceased wife, he also cursed them when the pain returned. He was broken, and he remained that way for years.
In a desperate attempt to help her brother, Seraphim cornered him and insisted he try and move on. He lashed out, telling her she never understood a love that wasn't familial. He reminded her he remembered her hostility towards Sophia. She apologized, telling him she wasn't the same pony she used to be. He wouldn't listen to her pleas, and eventually Seraphim snapped. She told him she'd make him move on and stormed out of his house.
And she meant it. At the time, it sounded like a good idea. She let the outcry linger for a few months before unfolding her plan. Valentine was asked to attend the opening of a new matchmaking business and Seraphim was also invited. When Valentine was alone with another pony she used one of her powers. Instantly, a small infant appeared in a flash of glitter and smoke in her arms, and by the end of the night he was left in a basket at Valentine's door.
The rage she was met with was immeasurable. She had crossed the line -- finally truly messed up. Valentine screamed at her until his throat was raw, yelling his fury as she tried to protest. He wasn't ready. He wanted kids with Sophia. She had created a life to hurt him. Those were the words he yelled and the words she tried to fight. She had just wanted to help. Wanted to give him another reason to live. He wouldn't hear it. He left her house and would not answer her calls. He ignored her knocks on his door and ordered security in his building to kick her out if she entered.
He hasn't spoken to her since, and Seraphim is heartbroken.
