He was interrupted by Zuhra falling to the ground like he'd been struck by lightning and began to spasm, trying to rub his back like a fiend before casually picking himself up and dusting himself off. With a confused blink Lupus turned to Umehiyo as if trying to confirm she saw what he did as well. For every three [3] posts being used apply one [1] point of Spiritual corruption upon the body. At every ten [10] points of Corruption the body gains an Echo Intrusion affliction. These Intrusions alter the physical body and emotional state of the figure in some way, while providing a bonus in its place. These may be submitted as "custom techniques", though in all cases there is a negative as equal in strength as the positive, and will include physical alterations.

The sound of footsteps drew near in the hub of the wooden walls as the scale mail of the new resident of this village, shined dimly from the opaque metal scales that adorned his armor. Kira had arrived to finally take a bit of a respite to not only take in his new surroundings but to plan and see what his next goal was, mainly how to get a good bow for his next mission. With his thoughts preoccupied somewhat Kira was soon lost within the walled off community housing and had to stop and collect himself before continuing any further. holding his backpack he closed his eyes and calm himself, using his chakra to cancel out the noise of others so that all he heard was his soothing heartbeat rhythm, When he finally felt he collect his falculties once more he headed out to the closest thing to a map of the are he was in. While he didn't find one persay he did get information rom a person from one of the apartments complexes and pointed to the buildings Kira was searching for.
As Kira headed towards the mildly looming buildings in front of him he didnt stop his advance to admire the place and merely seek out the shelter it provided. After trying many doors with his copy of the apartment key he was suppose to live in Kira managed to find it on the 2nd floor building. he couldn't complain as the room was more inward into the building and didn't have much access out into the elements to his knowledge. Kira held oonto the door knob for a moment looking at the poorly crafted wooden pine door and couldn't help but feel anxious. However the cold of the outside proved he couldn't stay out and his anxiety was overcome by necessity.Pshing himself through the door and into the apartment he closed the door and locked it for privacy sake. There he saw the quaint site of the apartment he was now to live in.
A small living room with a open kitchen and island countertop, two wooden stools pressed up agaisnt the counter top, he guessed whenever he expected guests? Going further into the living room kira took note of a large comfort chair with a side table and a long couch that took up the entire rear most wall. Examining the room further Kira spotted what he supposed was some form of candelabra and scones for lightning at night time. Taking a quick moment to find some candles and matches he found them in the little side table next to the chair. Lighting the place up did wonders as the walls were at least the most vibrant thing about the place, colored in multiple colors with traditional iconography of the four great cardinal beasts, the phoenix, the turtle, the tiger, and of course the almighty dragon. the couch mostly covered images of crashing waves but that was fine. Kira then looked towards his right and spotted a narrow, short hallway. Curious Kira went down to investigate to find his small bed chamber, A double twin bed with another side table, a weapon wall mount, and a Clothes cabinet. Looking the room over it had the vibrant colors of the apartment but not much of the same images other than the crashing waves. Heading back to the living area space Kira noted another door right next to the kitchen right side. figuring this was a pantry with old food Kira went to it thinking he would prepare something. Instead he found the true resident bed he would be staying in. a medium sized room with a good, albeit dusty and worn out, queen bed. On top there lay a package of sorts along with a large decorated bow and blades.
Kira, once more, was curious and went up to the gift package, which contained a note he unraveled straight away.It read of sorts "Dear Resident of Apartment #2044, We are pleased you have decided to stay here in our village with us. Currently our village is celebrating Tortalians Enlightenment at this time and it only felt right to give you a gift as we do most everyone else in our fine city. We heard about your inquiry into a bow and with your knowledge of blades and lighter armor we had your friend, Karin, remodel your suit or armor and grant you three weapons of great craftsmanship. We hope they will be to your liking

Finishing the letter off Kira looked over to the bow and arrows he was given and the two blades that were forged. he opened the smaller package and true to the letters word a new upgrade to Karin's scale mail was there. Kira smiled and layed his hands on it. Setting it aside Kira laid his katana on the side of the bed fell on the mattress without using the sheets and fell fast asleep. He would look into the weapons themselves tomorrow. all in all a great welcome gift from this new land

First a polite rap, three rapid beats and two slow to get attention without being jarring. After several moments of silence there came another rapid series of knocks, this time with a bit of bite and steel within its movements. After a full minute had passed of silence there came four heavy, slow thuds against the door followed only a moment later by something white sliding under the door. Actually less sliding and more as if someone were shoving something uncooperative under the door and finding it increasingly difficult. It took only a few moments longer to get the majority of the cloth through before whoever was shoving it under gave up and left. tab Should the boy take the cloth and unroll it he would find what appeared to be a bedroll blanket that had been inked upon: "Come to the Wolf's Lodge and fight me, or prove you're the coward I know you are!"

Kira would wake up a hour after the insane rattling at his apartments door which he thought was merely part of his dream of hunting thunderous buffalo on the plains of the land of fire for food to give to the lord of the land of tea. Yawning Kira went over to the door and saw the piece of blanket and sighed figuring this was some form of paper they had here. What he got was a request to challenge. The way it was worded made it seem he knew the person and that they had a grudge with him, Kira didn't have to think long before coming to the logical conclusion on who it might be, "This b***h is crazy... very well if slicing her arm off will get the point across. So be it." With that Kira went back to his room and grabbed the new scaled armor from Karin and put it on in exchange from her old one. taking up the longbow on his back, arrows, sword, and other weapons he would need for a general fight or mission Kira set off.
However he did keep it in mind to lock the house up before he went fully expecting to return home after a round of fighting and food shopping, He needed to eat to after all.-exit-
The clones that I created during my fight followed me all the way to the apartment. I sat at the bed and sighed. Wake me up in forty-five minutes. With that order, I laid in bed and took a forty-five-minute nap. With that I felt very rested and went to the market

As the door unlocked to his apartment, Kira entered with a blistering headache and a small bag of unknown contents. As he stagger into his fresh living space He began undoing his armor as he went to the bedroom portion of the apartment. He had gotten back from his challenge with the loudmouth music weaver redhead. he was sure he could have won if it wern't for the village leader interrupting them and though Kira understood he made a bad impression with the escape hit that he made. Dirty tricks like that where part of his arsenal to escape close contact, though he does admit he isn't much of a people person.
As he took the last bit of his armor off, his helmet, he sat down on his bed and looked into his linen bag full of its mystery contents. he didn't know if it was because of recent events or due to the crystal resurrection in either case though his evolution has led him to do gather this.
Reaching into the bag he grabbed a live rat about twice the size of his hand with a bit of gray fur with a white streak along the spine and black patch on the front. It seemed to radiate a bit of mana but other than that it was mostly just a wood rat found in the forest. Kira's red eyes however trained on it like a source of prime rib and within moments of staring at it and holding it tightly in his hands Kira opened up his maw exposing two rows of upper and lower sharpened teeth. They took form of sword like points and overlapped his regular flat teeth while underneath his tongue was a layer of more shearing, shark like teeth.
Upon exposure the rat squirmed and tried to free itself but it was to no avail as Kira sank his teeth into the back of the rat and began to drain it dry. As he did so he remembered books about things that sucked on the blood of the living and how when people found them they where torched. Kira would have to make sure to keep this secret and not target people, just the rats or other smaller woodland creatures. though he could try and skin these rats for small amounts of leather he couldn't be quite sure of the quality they would produce.
As He finished his first rat Kira began on his second. All he could think about now was to alleviate this thirst he had after fighting such a battle. When he finished off his rats he began to in home tan the lot of them, skinning, stretching, and disposing the organs which where dried due to his feeding so it was a question of whether to throw them in the trash or store them in a locker for later. He figured he would at least take it to the alchemist and see if dried rat organs would help. Meanwhile Kira would tan the hides to a good enough point to inspect them to see which ones would be worth taking.
With that Kira put everything he had into the linen bag and set off into the market place after several hours in his apartment. he could only hope that they had someone who had use for the items he had gathered.
A slow moving body was heading towards the residential district that was Snowside. unlike his last visit Kira walked towards his apartment without armor to speak of and appeared sluggish even compared to his other walks toward his new dwelling in the city. As he near his apartment Kira looked around to see if their was anyone around to watch him. Determining himself that there was no one Kira went off to the back of the building to snag a couple of the meaty rats that also dwelled within the confines of the city. As he returned to his apartment door He made one last check before entering his abode. Locking the door with whatever locking mechanism it had Kira didnt bother to linger in the living/ entry room and went on to the bedroom. as he sat on the bed provided when he began his stay in town Kira looked at one of the rats that squeaked and trying to bite the man who held them. He couldn't believe that THIS rodent was going to be his dinner for the night.
As he mercilessly bit down on the helpless victim Kira began to drank his fill and went deep into thought about the last few days. So much change in him just by a few days, So much now lingered on his mind about the new problems he wanted to tackle. getting stronger for the village, figuring out a way to defend the village from the surrounding yokai. There was just so much he never thought he would want to protect from his previous life and now in this new one. As he finished off his rat he started on the other one and tried to think back on when this change occurred. It wasn't to hard to think back on. He didn't want to admit it he didn't even want to think it but it was obviously because of his infatuation with Karin.
She seemed to preoccupy his thoughts now, there was no rime or reason it just was. Like the coming of a snow storm or the ocean tide and as he finished off the last rat he tried to think of how his personality had just changed because of it. Then a sudden thought rushed into him and he cursed at himself as he thought
"s**t... I still need to talk to that wretched red head..." He sighed As he picked himself up and walked towards the front of the apartment Kira thought of how he didn't actually want to go running around with how banged up he was. He barely went out of the apartment complex he was living in and went to where the front desk for such a place was. another thirty minutes would roll by before a runner carrying his message and description of the person receiving it would start there path to find that wild woman. Going back to his apartment he shut the door, not locking it this time so that she could just walk in, he figured she wasn't one for formalities at this point and would just do as she pleased, allowing him to lay down on his cold bed and sleep for however long it took for Zuu to get there.

[ T ]here were many thoughts running through Zuu's head as she showed up at the doorstep to what she'd been lead to believe was that ******** weasel's apartment. Why was she here, how stupid could she be, he's probably eye ******** himself in the mirror right then did she really want to see that, the most recent of them. Still, she needed to make progress. She needed to gain knowledge, gain strength, gain prominence, gain something since the world seemed to fall silent around her. She'd tried to catch up to Shea before, leaving Nina to think for a bit, but the boy had simply been too fast. She'd decided to not bother him since he seemed to be in a hurry, and decided instead to do...something. She'd heard of the job board before, but hadn't had a chance to look at it. So she'd made her way to the board and found a few that seemed close to what she'd usually done before, back when she was a Shinobi. One had mentioned finding what was inflicting disease upon innocents, and that sounded right up her alley. Problem was, it required talking to Kaileer. Kira sat up lazily when he heard the knock at his door. Huh, so she didnt want to just barge in, point to her then. Kira yawned softly before rising up and going to the door. As he opened the door he saw her grasping a knife on her hip and his brow rose. Looking at her for a moment he sorta shrugged and said, "Come on in... i dont have, well, anything but make yourself as comfortable as you want. Just dont stab me in the back with the knife..." Kira then turned to walk into the living area of his sparse apartment. As he looked around he saw two chairs and a couch that would at least help in keeping distance between them. As he say down in one of the chairs he moved it a bit further apart from most of the sitting spaces, at least a good few feet towards a corner. He would wait for her to sit down before he said anything . once that was accomplished he began "We... obviously dont like each other. Fact of life i guess. So it is hard for me to ask this but I do need...help. As much as I would love to be my loner based self, even I know i need to be in a team in this current age. Unfortunately the guards arn't that well trained it seems to guard people more than half a mile outside of this town." Kira would rub the sleep out of his eyes as he yawned before continuing on. "Like i said before, I need your help in a mission to procure a list of materials. Some should be no sweat but there is one I found that will need your 'expertise' in confusing the creature. Im pretty sure your familiar with the name, its called a chimera, big animal fur and leather is supposed to be real sturdy stuff. Its the only reason I came looking for you when you where on that horse mission."

Meissa made it to the district in decent enough time, considering how exhausted she was. If it hadn't been so cold, she might have opted to sleep outside, but there was no reason to endure such hardships if she could avoid it. She meandered up and down the streets before eventually finding her apartment. It wasn't very spacious or quiet, but it was shelter. She slipped inside, found a corner, and went to sleep swaddled in her cloak. A shower could wait until the morning.

There was no sitting here, and she would simply stare unblinking at him till he spoke if left quiet long enough. When he did begin to speak it was pretty straight forward, and she wasn't going to bother arguing with his assertion that she didn't like him and he her because it was fact. Had she not been, well, an Teaghlach, she would have had a scar on her face large enough to be seen from a mile away all because of his b***h a** attitude. But sure. She disliked him. That was a simple enough assertion to count for her. But when he finished she was left feeling...tricked. Lied to was more accurate, but she doubted the idiot would see it that way. Having not slept a wink since the horse incident and the fighting after she was simply too tired to be angry, which likely was the only reason she didn't kick his teeth in and call it a day. Kira raised a brow to her as he said, "I never said that, I said this was important for someone I cared for. And as I have said before I reluctantly need to ask for your help. Believe me if I could think of someone else who was capable enough to help me with this I would drop you like a hat." Kira looked at her intensely as her words voiced to him her complaints. Rubbing his furrowed brow Kira continued, "But I dont and so I have asked for your help. I need to do this for her... to thank her. She wants this village to prosper and I want to aid in that. If that means teaming up with you then, I shall. The only other question is will you, despite hating each other, take this job on so we can get materials. You can of course vehemently refuse and I will understand and i imagine we both will curse each others from now till doomsday." With that Kira stopped rubbing his brow and looked at her with his blue green eyes for a hot minute.
From there Kira sighed and got up from his spot and went into his bedroom for his pack. Rummaging around he found a sizeable coin pouch for Zuu and began to fill it with coin. When he came back out he handed her a pouch of 200 ryo, "IF perhaps my plea's are not... sufficient enough for you I will add these 200 ryo on top of the 700 hundred I already tried to give you to help me. You will, as I said, get 700 more after the mission's completion. If You choose to accept this, whether monetary value or of your own convictions, Then We leave a week from tomorrow. What say you?..." Kira held out the coin pouch for however long Zuu decided to think over the options she had.
Liliya made her way into the residential district from the scrap yard. Each step taken was one step closer to her destination, their apartment, and hopefully upon arrival she would be greeted with the sight of the other two waiting. If say she somehow beat them there, then ideally it would be best if they weren't far behind. After taking her next left, the black and red clad Iron Blooded woman wound up on her street and shortly thereafter a couple paces, she found herself walking up the flight of stairs leading to the second story of a building. Thankfully, they had a corner apartment, so as soon as you climb the stairs, their door was right there. When she attempted to reach for the handle after unlocking the door, a small piece of parchment attached to the piece of wood caught her attention, and so instead of choosing to go inside first, she opted to read what was placed before her.

The mistletoe regrows from a random body part 6 posts later. ◇ Elf on a Shelf → A nine-inch tall doll that actively seeks out shelves to sit on, natural or otherwise. Once upon one its purpose is to verbally harass everything within sight, showing a keen ability to say things that are targetted enough to hurt. If placed within a sack it falls still, but the instant the sack is left alone it will expertly break out of the knots or locks placed upon it and go looking for a shelf. Can target things that are even invisible! ◇ Dreidel! LET IT RIP!: I am going to hell for this one, but you all can enjoy the Hanukkah joy of a BATTLE DREIDEL. This one isn't quite the... usual because it appears to have some sort of Beyblade mechanism to launch/spin it. However, once you let it rip, the dreidel grows in size and weight to four feet tall and one thousand pounds. People struck by it face D - ranked Baconless damage, making you feel like the world is a bit less bright due to lack of bacon. Speed is based on stamina spent.

xxxxx Despite being much smaller and possessing even smaller legs than Lupus, Masako arrived back at the small apartment they all seemed to call home for now. Not paying attention as she ascended the stairs, Masako collided with Liliya who was just standing there silently outside the door. A loud thud rang out as the pair collided and both hit the floor. The pain of the impact and fall would seem to dissipate rather quickly as Masako's natural aura almost immediately mended the bruises. Masako was the first back on her feet, trying in vain to haul Liliya up to her feet. "Gah, I'm super duper mega extra sorry Liliya. Are you okay?" Without even waiting for the poor girl to answer, Masako immediately launched into even more questions. "Why are you just standing outside the door? If it had been Lupus instead of me he would have stepped on you without noticing."

Passive: • Saintly Presence: This ability borrows from Masako's ability to heal simply by touching. Combining her ability to heal on touch and the passive aura that she naturally radiates at all times, Masako emits a healing mist within the radius of her aura. This healing mist is relatively weak at E rank, only numbing small bruises and taking the sting off cuts. At every rank the healing power of the aura slowly increases. By B Rank, the aura can close cuts and heal minor sprains. This is not an instant heal but takes time and exposure to the aura to heal. This ability also enhances the feeling of safety and peace created by the aura, reducing the effect that techniques that cause fear or terror by 1/2 rank. • Forest Princess: Everywhere Masako goes, she passively creates small amounts of plant life, even on surfaces that would normally not support it, such as metal or stone. This cannot be used to grow plant matter on objects created by an opponents own mana. This skill in essence allows Masako to have a source of natural materials at all time. This only creates small amounts of flora such as a patch of grass or a few flowers. • Forest Princess II: Masako's ability to speak with sprites and other friendly spirits is partially expanded to animals. While she cannot directly communicate with animals, she can convey thoughts and feelings to them. This makes animals and other similar creatures less likely to attack her. This can also be used to limited effect to communicate with An Teaghlach with varying degrees of success. • Inexplicable Luck: Once per battle or once every 4 posts outside of combat, Masako experiences a brief moment of inexplicable luck where whatever she attempts has a greater chance to succeed or increases the yield of an action. This action can also manifest in the form of actions, such as being able to dodge an attack that would normally land, etc. This also grants Masako a guaranteed chance to always gather at least 1 item per attempt even at a 0 skill level. • Human Potential: Masako gains an additional Discipline Point at C Rank. • Truth is Stranger Than Fiction: Often times in the pursuit of the truth, Inquisitors find themselves in the wackiest of places. It has often been said that truth can be stranger than fiction and this is no exception. At any time during any encounter, there is a chance for the encounter to become a "Wacky Encounter" which drastically changes the environment or NPCs in the area, often with hilarious results. This is randomly triggered by the DM as they see fit. Wacky Encounters generally include loot or items that would otherwise be unobtainable and always give at least one [1] item to the party, whether or not the item is useful is another matter. Wacky Encounters can be anything from discovering a random traveling circus in a dungeon to fighting a horde of cannibal dwarfs wearing dresses. The sky is the limit. • Divine Innocence: At all times, Masako radiates an aura of pure innocence and peace. This aura makes it all but impossible to want to attack her. Even if an individual were able to overcome the effects of the aura, all of their abilities used against Masako would be reduced in strength by one rank. The aura comes with a catch however. As with all medical professionals, Masako is sworn to do no harm and as such, she cannot attack while the aura is up unless an attack of C-Rank or higher is targeted against her, and only within 2 posts of the offending attack. After this two post timer, the aura is once again at full power and must be re-triggered. • Saint: The Saint path grants the ability to heal with a touch, something relatively rare in the Path of the Medic. No handsigns, no magic circles, no rituals, just a touch to activate. The Saint is granted one [1] spell per Experience Rank, beginning at E - rank, that can be used without paying a cost. This is specific to Healing spells that have a positive effect. If, instead, the effect is Negative in nature, these Spells can be used at only half cost [1/2] without any weakening in strength or viability. The Saint gains an automatic aura that generates feelings of peace and safety (for those who favor positive, beneficial effects) or unease and danger (in those who favor negative, destructive effects). This aura can be suppressed and is not a technique in and of itself, instead merely being an outward manifestation of their dispositions. In other words it cannot force reactions, but can definitely influence them. • Researcher: Knowledge is power, and the Researcher represents the Path of those who truly understand that. A specialist in finding information in the most difficult of places, the Researcher is a master of the written word, able to crack codes and written/drawn riddles with equal ease. Some items defy knowledge and require a Decryption score to learn their secrets, ranging in scale from zero [0] to five [5], with the former representing anything that doesn’t currently have a score. Through research that takes one [1] post for every two [2] Encryption ratings, the Researcher is able to crack these secrets. Alternatively, they may use their own knowledge to Encrypt things, making it near impossible to break. The Researcher is able to Encrypt/Decrypt up to Level One [1] at D – rank, and the level increases for every experience Rank they possess. Furthermore, depending on the Researcher’s original choice, Illusions, Arcanist Spells, or other abilities that hide the truth of the written or artistic form will be one [1] rank less in strength when viewed by a researcher, with any spell they know gaining one [1] rank in strength if used to obscure. In favor of this, the Inquisitor gains four [4] Arcanist and Illusion spells per Experience Rank, though it must deal with either obscuring or revealing things.
