Meissa strolled toward the Grim Hall at a leisurely pace. The morning winds had chilled her to the bone, but she found that keeping calm actually helped her acclimate to the colder weather better. She knew it wasn't great for longer outings, but she had gotten faster at navigating Ikeinasu and now it felt like most places were just a short jaunt away from her apartment.

The relief she felt when she stepped through the doors was real. Her face and lungs burned as the warmer air wrapped around her. As good as she was at not showing her discomfort, she still preferred warmer climes.

As soon as she wrestled the door shut behind her--the wind threatened to free it from her grip--she made her way to the right, toward the jobs board. Her recent foray into the woods with Lorelei had left her feeling a bit restless. The oni were getting dangerously close to Ikeinasu.

She wasn't the only one thinking that way. There was a notice out for any information on a specific section of the Tsukihara Forest that was said to be Fade-repellent. Meissa pulled the notice down, read it over, flipped it over to see if there was anything else, then sighed. Frankly, the pay was crap and information was sparse. There was also no one to watch her back in case she got into trouble in the wilderness. On the other hand, she could likely move quicker and stealthier alone, and since she'd set up a return point in her apartment, she had a quick way to get out of a sticky situation. Plus, this was an excellent opportunity to better acquaint herself with the area. Assuming she didn't die in the process.

She decided she'd take the job. She let someone know, then bundled up and headed out into the cold again.
