Hitomi smiled sadly, listening to Fang go on about his life before. She walked slightly behind him, following him as he seemed to walk and talk like he knew where he was going. "I don't remember." She said, answering Fangs last question. "When I awoke in this world, I don't remember a single thing from my past life. I don't even know what my real name is, I just went with what sounded nice." The young girl said as they arrived in an area where people were training. "But it could be worse I suppose..." Hitomi walked around the open area some, she enjoyed the peace and the stability. It for some reason felt off for her, but she of course could not remember why.

Entering this part of the Blazing Abodes, he noticed it seemed to be a very open space. How convenient and ideal for practicing some stellar jutsu. He located a place with what looked to be conveniently placed scrolls. Searching for Doton, Katon, Maruton, and Fūton. It was odd how these technique scrolls seemed to only have knowledge up to C-rank. Did someone lose or hide the knowledge of the greater techniques? That's troubling. As a bonus, he also located a scroll containing his kekkai genkai, Shakuton as well, like the others only up to C-rank. "So, uh. I just gathered some scrolls for elements I recall using. I don't know if you know yours? I'm going to attempt to practice some of the core techniques I had mastered back then. Maybe we can train with each-other and learn more quicker than we would on our own? I'll take the lead."

The first technique he found on the scroll was arguably the basis for a Katon line. It was Fire Manipulation, a core ability that dependent heavily on the amount of chakra utilized. Forming a single handseal, for the first time in years, he began to channel the chakra to a focused point on his palm. His goal for now would be to form a small ball of fire in his palm. Using Katon chakra, he noticed a spark began to form flaring in and out before actively becoming a solid spark. [1/5 Fire Manipulation]

"I wonder if you can use Katon. I have no idea, but for me this was something of a necessity, especially when fighting those damn Katon-loving Leafies from Konohagakure." He spoke to Hitomi, as he once again formed the same handseal for tiger and began to channel the chakra more intensely this time. At first it began to sputter and form sparks, before a smal flame engulfed his palm. Waving it around vigorously, a small smile formed on his face knowing his was beginning to recall his abilities from before. [2/5 Fire Manipulation]

Thinking it would be beneficial to light the area up, Fang proceeded to gather some tinder and sticks from the area and put it in one area. He would use his knowledge of this jutsu to form a campfire. Forming the handseal once more after letting the palm flame go out, he focused the chakra this time into the campfire area. It started to light up more and more following a single spark and created a campfire. He made sure to maintain the flame over the campfire long enough for the flames to stick. [3/5 Fire Manipulation]

Releasing the Katon chakra he was sending into the campfire. Forming the same handseal as before, he started by refreshing on the basics of the craft as he had done before. The first motion is causing a spark in his palm, followed by focusing the Katon chakra into a continual flame that created light and heat. Finally, he focused the flame into an area creating a campfire-sized chakra enclosure. Fang believed to master the technique, he needed to increase the heat so these flames could be damaging. [4/5 Fire Manipulation]

"I feel pretty close to mastering this. It's a pity I didn't remember it totally from before." Fang explained softly, feeling a bit like an academy student all over again. However, the joy of mastering something for the first time was a pleasant experience to have once more. Forming the handseal, he did the motions perfectly, this time fully controlling the katon chakra and releasing what could be a more violent level of heat that could burn something. [5/5 Fire Manipulation]

He wanted to keep his momentum going, so he read an old classic the katon Gōkakyū no Jutsu. Forming the handseals for it, he excitedly cried, "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" Using a large amount of chakra and breathing in before releasing the flame at a central point using the control he'd mastered previously via Fire Manipulation a medium-sized ball of fire was launched from him which scorched across the ground towards an open area. It reached its apex distance before dispersing. Oddly, enough this technique came very easily to him. Is my memory more in effect than I realized? [1/1 Great Fireball Technique]

The next technique he intended to learn was Wind Manipulation. Since he could manipulate Katon, knowing, or better yet, remember how to manipulate Fūton would be of great usage. As he did with Fire Manipulation, he formed a single handseal in order to focus his chakra to the area before him. He would attempt to use his Wind chakra and center it in that area whisking forward the smallest of breezes, akin to that feeling of opening a door briefly. It was clear that to master this ability would take some time. [1/5 Wind Manipulation]

Continuing his training, Fang recalled the same handseal and reached out with his Wind chakra in order to begin forming a breeze. What he desired now was to create a small cyclical effect with the breeze to increase its speed. For Fūton being able to utilize this speed added to the lethal capacity of such jutsu. He began first forming the breeze before adding a spin to the breeze which created a tiny gust. This gust pushed off and carried off some dirt from the ground. [2/5 Wind Manipulation]

As he began to get a feel for Wind chakra better, he once again formed the same dragon handseal. He created a cyclical breeze that formed into a small gust and this time he poured greater chakra into it. This time the gust began to increase in power and size. It moved faster than before which was evidence that he was beginning to have superior control over the gust that he created. [3/5 Wind Manipulation]

Using what he has learned so far, Fang continued to focus his Wind chakra this time further increasing the amount so a substantial gust could be created. He launched it forward and it carried with it a greater amount of dust particles and dirt than the weak gusts he had been forming previously. He felt as though he was starting to really get a feel for Wind chakra. If he simply could master the exact amount of chakra to infuse it would be perfected. [4/5 Wind Manipulation]

Going through each motion as he had been before, he formed a dragon handseal. The chakra was woven forward and created a medium gust of wind that rushed forth. He was able to control its size and trajectory with ease. A smile formed on his face as he began to feel he grasped what the technique was capable of. "After I learn another of these, I'm going to move on to the Earth Style ones. And then my bloodline limitation. And maybe some basic ones everyone should know." [5/5 Wind Manipulation]

The next technique was similar in volume to the Great Fireball Jutsu. He sought to learn Great Breakthrough. Forming the necessary handseals naturally as if by memory, he used the scroll and stated. "Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!" A burst of wind rushed forward and put out the campfire that he had previously created taking with it the sticks and rocks that were formed to hold the campfire in place. A rush of excitement entered Fang, knowing that this in combination with Katon would be deadly. [1/1 Great Breakthrough]

Changing focus to Doton next, as he had learned Wind and Fire Manipulation, knowing Earth Manipulation made sense with the trend that he was following. Forming a single snake handseal, he attempted to control his Doton chakra. He focused it towards a single point on the ground where he began to form what was the onset of a small pebble. He had much to learn, but this was the beginning of another basic and useful jutsu. [1/5 Earth Manipulation]

Once more he closed his eyes and focused his chakra to a single point in the earth. Forming a snake handseal, he then manipulated the soil to create a ball in the form of a pebble shape with more mass than before. Like Fire and Wind manipulation, he knew to use more of the technique greater amounts of chakra would be necessary. This time more pebbles were formed creating a larger pebble. [2/5 Earth Manipulation]

Progressing forward this time he breathed and formed the same snake handseal as before. His Earth chakra began to mold the pebble into a larger set of pebbles before forming what appeared to be a solid rock. This was a rock big enough to throw and cause someone some definite pain and potentially cause bleeding. Rocks were deadly in their own way, especially if smashed against a skull enough times. [3/5 Earth Manipulation]

Reaching the finishing touches of this jutsu was necessary. Forming the snake handseal once more, he charged his Earth chakra. Forming more than one rock this time, he began to merge them together to create an even larger mass. He sought to form a boulder. As the Earth chakra molded together a decent-sized boulder formed made of the earth in the area. Fang knew that he was nearing his mastery of the jutsu. [4/5 Earth Manipulation]

Once again he charged his chakra to a single point in the ground before him next to the boulder that he had just formed. Forming the snake handseal, he then manipulated the Earth chakra in the soil and began to pull rock forms together and created a boulder object. It was medium-sized and actually a solid mass this time even stronger than the boulder he had formed previously. With this, Fang knew he had mastered the Earth Manipulation [5/5]

Since Fang possessed the ability to form boulders, but not the physical prowess of moving boulders on his own, he figured a practical application would be a jutsu that allowed this. Forming a single snake seal, followed by stomping his foot as the scroll suggested, Fang proceeding to use his Earth chakra and lift one of the boulders he created before launching it towards a distance. He did it one more time just to be sure he had learned it with the first smaller boulder he made. [1/1 Boulder Throw]

Pressing on with his training, Fang recalled some of the classic jutsu that every shinobi should know. The first he would relearn were the academy techniques. He started with the Illusion Clone Jutsu. Forming the handseal associated with it, as if by natural memory he was able to create one fake copy of himself. He did some once more in order to create the maximum amount of three copies in order to know he had relearned the ability. [1/1 Illusion Clone Technique]

"These were basic techniques at the academy back then. It's no wonder I remember them so easily." The next one was also of great practical use. Studying Hitomi for a moment, he then formed a single handseal to replicate how she looked using the Transformation Jutsu. A great technique when needing to impersonate guards or someone for information gains, or simply to appear either weaker or stronger as a threat. [1/1 Transformation Technique]

The final basic academy jutsu was the Substitution Jutsu. For a ranged shinobi like himself, this was ideal when facing a taijutsu or bukijutsu-based opponent. Using some of the broken boulder he tossed earlier nearby he used his chakra to jump and switch places with it. Which would have been a decent way to avoid being attacked by a melee attack or something dangerous that was ranged as well. [1/1 Substitution Jutsu]

Fang decided he needed to also pick up some more utility style jutsu. Among these was the Kai technique used to free oneself from genjutsu assaults. Since he was not under the effects of a genjutsu, he recalled from memory the time when he was attacked by a specialist. Forming a handseal, he cried out, "Release!" Using his chakra he halted the flow of his chakra, which if he were under the effect of a genjutsu would free him from its effects entirely. [1/1 Release]

Finding a nearby wall from the building, Fang decided to practice an old classic jutsu called Act of Tree Climbing. Forming a handseal and focusing chakra, he began to climb up the wall with ease. This was something that was very necessary for combat and scaling walls and trees. Every shinobi should know how to utilize this jutsu in order to be able to succeed in various combat scenarios. Forming a smile as he reached the top, he knew he had to relearn the water walking as well. [1/1 Act of Tree Climbing]

Knowing ponds existed in the immediate area, Fang cautiously formed handseals and sent chakra to his feet and the surface of the water attempting to balance himself upon it. At first he submerged a bit, but like the Tree Climbing, he had done this for years in his memory so it came to him quite easily. He was able to cross the pond to and fro several times to ensure he really understood what he was doing with the technique. [1/1 Act of Water Surface Walking]

Continuing his training regiment as he relearned himself, Fang decided he would make sure to obtain a few more techniques of his various elements before going to his kekkai genkai. He decided to first pick up another Wind Style technique. Forming the necessary handseal, he took out his skinning knife and used the Wind to turn it into a dagger with some lethality now instead of merely being a weak skinning tool. Slashing it around in a playful manner, he used it to carve into one of the pebbles he made earlier. This would prove to be a useful technique in the future. [1/1 Wind Style: Vacuum Blade]

Using his newly created wind chakra dagger, Fang hurled it towards one of the boulders that was damaged. Forming three handseals and holding his hands together he used the wind to form a strong gust of wind, calling out "Gale Wind Palm!", which further enhanced the speed and force of the thrown dagger. As it cut into the boulder it slashed through with some effort, since it was not quite a kunai or a dagger but somewhere in-between. Imagine if I train my kunai skills, I'll really be a threat then. He would work on additional Fire Style techniques next. [1/1 Gale Wind Palm]

His first addition Fire Style would be the Mist Waltz Jutsu. Not having a clear memory of this technique, he studied the scroll containing Fire Style secrets. Forming a string of handseals, Fang released a mist that reached out towards the broken boulder area. Detonating the mist, a blast of flames erupted in the area with enough force to further reduce the boulder into broken pieces of rock and debris. With this jutsu he had a lower chakra alternative. [1/1 Mist Waltz]

Another classic technique, Fang wanted to learn how to use the Mythical Fire Flower Jutsu. Reviewing the scroll he formed the necessary handseals and like the Fireball Jutsu, this time he expelled smaller balls of fire chakra. At first it was only three balls, but he did so again and released five. He did this technique a few more times to learn it properly before finally being able to use a total of ten as the techniques primary capability allows. [1/1 Mythical Fire Flower]

Finally as an additional utility jutsu, Fang wanted to learn the Mud Slide technique. An ideal technique to utilize against opponents whom appear to get within a closer range. Forming the necessary handseals and following the scroll's instructions, he then used earth chakra to create a rapid river of mud which carried away the remaining debris from the broken boulder away from the area. Fang knew he now had a small arsenal that would make him a worthy contender for combat. [1/1 Mud River]

Turning his attention next to his kekkai genkai techniques, Fang realized he would likely need to review these more carefully than the other techniques he has learned thus far. He would start with the Water Repelling technique which is essentially the ultimate counter to Water Style abilities. Forming a handseal, Fang then proceeded to produce a Scorch Style mist and attempted to evaporate some of the nearby pond's water. It was clear that this barely caused any water to evaporate from being dehydrated. [1/5 Water Repelling]

Following the scroll's instructions, he once again formed another handseal and sent out his Scorch style chakra into the water. This time larger particles of water began to be evaporated. Fang made sure to maintain a steady stream into the water to continue to dehydrate the pond's moisture. The training would be prolonged with this jutsu for its greater effectiveness. Soon, he would be able to dehydrate even larger amounts of water. [2/5 Water Repelling]

At this point, Fang had a pretty solid grasp on the technique's basic reality. Essentially Scorch Style chakra would be sent out in equal amount against a Water Style technique to make it be dispelled. Forming a handseal and sending out the Scorch chakra into the pond, a greater amount of water was dehydrated. A stream of water began to evaporate this time more than before in the previous training attempts. [3/5 Water Repelling]

Taking a small break and breather from his continuous stream of Scorch Style entering the water, he sat down and relaxed. After calming himself, he formed a handseal and then did as he had one before using the Water Repelling jutsu. Greater water was now being evaporated from the pond and a small misty cloud began to form above the pond from the continued assault against the pond. Fang was clearly nearly mastering the technique. [4/5 Water Repelling]

"This training process is going to be nice and long. But, truly worth it." Fang explained aloud. As before, he formed a handseal and did what he needed to do sending the Scorch technique into the water. A solid amount of water was ballooned into the cloud of moisture above the water due to evaporation. At this point it was clear Fang had a very strong control over the technique and would be able to apply it in combat scenarios. [5/5 Water Repelling]

The next two techniques Fang knew were extremely critical abilities. Mastering the Heat Haze and the Backdraft jutsu would make his Fire Style and Wind Style jutsu even more deadly. Starting with Heat Haze, Fang knelled and formed a handseal attempting to bring out his Fire Style chakra and combine it with Scorch Style. He knew this technique would take a little time to master, but he intended to do so. [1/4 Heat Haze]

As he formed another handseal, Fang began to mix his Fire chakra with Scorch in order to create a half Fire half Scorch enhanced ability. Using his Fire Manipulation he created a small palm-sized flame that he began to send Scorch chakra into. Its coloring began to change as it went from a deep red to an orange color. He knew that the flame was changing its base element. [2/4 Heat Haze]

Using his chakra, he released the orange palm flame. Forming another handseal he used Fire Manipulation creating a flame that he then merged with Scorch chakra. It became a darker orange flame that Fang knew would be capable of absorbing moisture and causing dehydration. He was quite close to mastering this technique. [3/4 Heat Haze]

For one final understanding of the technique, he proceeded to create a campfire with Fire Manipulation. Using his Scorch chakra he sent it into the campfire turning it from a red to a deep orange that matched his own Scorch colored techniques. It was capable of dehydrating and he knew he had the ability to control such a combination. He would move on to the Backdraft next, in order to be able to due with with Wind Style as well. [4/4 Heat Haze]

Like the Heat Haze, this instead combines Wind Style and Scorch Style. Just like he did with Fire Manipulation, Fang would use Wind Manipulation in order to form a gust before him. Then using his Scorch Style he combined it with the gust that formed. It had what appeared to be an orange sparkling as though the chakra began to attempt to merge together. [1/4 Backdraft]

Continuing with this process, Fang first formed a handseal to utilize the Wind Manipulation. Forming a medium-sized gust, he then used his Scorch Style to combine with the Wind chakra. The gust began to turn an orange color and the dehydration was now a possibility. It was clear that Fang was beginning to have a deeper understanding of the technique. [2/4 Backdraft]

As he had done many times before, Fang formed a handseal and first used Wind Manipulation to create a gust. Then he used his Scorch Style to imbue it with chakra. The two chakras merged together forming a new technique altogether which was able to dehydrate targets when it succeeds. Maintaining the chakra, he then sent the gust outwards before it dissipated. [3/4 Backdraft]

Fang formed handseals and used his Wind Manipulation in order to form a gust. As with previous training attempts, he then imbued his Scorch Style chakra with the gust turning it a bright orange. The gust rushed forward dehydrating the moisture in the air for several feet. He maintained this technique until it dispersed at its maximum distance. [4/4 Backdraft]

With the more complicated jutsu mastered, Fang decided he would take on less challenging techniques. The first technique he would learn is To Heat. Focusing his Shakuton chakra onto the skinning knife he used previously for training, he began to heat it up to the point where it glowed an orange. He knew the blade was very hot and would burn those who were not accustomed to the heat. Fang would move on to the next technique after the blade cooled down. [1/1 To Heat]

An advanced clone compared to the Illusion Clone he had learned earlier, the next technique on the Scorch Style scroll was the Dehydrated Clone. Forming three handseals, Fang began to form copies of himself imbued in Scorch Style. The clones formed fairly easily and they began to run over to the nearby pond before Fang detonated them. They exploded and began to dehydrate more water from the pond that he was using previously. [1/1 Dehydrated Clone]

Akin to the Fire Manipulation jutsu, Fang would then practice the next technique in the scroll which was To Burn. It involved coating his hands with Scorch Style to make them capable of dehydrating on impact. As he focused the chakra to his palms an orange glow coated them with ease. It was clear Fang's understanding of Scorch Style was coming to fruition. He could now actively use this to coat his hands. [1/1 To Burn]

A convenient technique the Fire Needle was next. Considering Fang did not have projectiles on hand, being able to form Scorch Style senbon was useful. Forming a handseal, he began to manipulate Scorch into a senbon shape forming a set of six perfectly orange senbon. He could launch these to cause harm to a target. Using his chakra control, he proceeded and tossed them at a nearby wall before they dissipated on impact. [1/1 Fire Needle]

The next technique is reminiscent of the Mythical Fire Flower technique. Forming handseals and utilizing his Scorch Style, he released at first a set of three shuriken-sized balls. Fang then made more and more until he had a set of ten as the technique prescribed. Whirling the shuriken Scorch balls in the air he then tossed each of them towards the pond before they burst small holes that rippled in the pond water. [1/1 Ten Fiery Eyes Technique]

The final jutsu available in the scroll was the Extreme Steam Prison. A technique aimed at stopping and/or immobilizing an opponent. Using handseals, he proceeded to form a Scorch construct around a broken boulder as a target point. Thin pillars of Scorch formed a box-like prison that would dehydrate if anything were to come in distance of the walls. Fang knew he had an arsenal for sure now. [1/1 Extreme Steam Prison]

With his jutsu training having been quite well so far, Fang decided to pick up on all of his E-rank capabilities to their maximum possibility. The first would be the Shadowing Stealth technique. Forming Illusion Clones, he then moved in between them and pretended it was a crowd. Using chakra he would make himself appear less visible to those whom would not be looking quite as closely. Fang knew this would be useful. [1/1 Shadow Stealth]

Using one of his clones to tie him up using the rope found in his backpack, Fang would follow the non-elemental scroll for another technique. He wanted to learn the Escape Jutsu which would be viable in case he ever got captured in such a way. After getting tied up, Fang used his chakra to nudge and loosen the rope that was tied against him. The rope broke free and Fang released himself. [1/1 Escaping Skill]

The next technique while an embarrassing one, could be utilized for interesting scenarios. A variation on the Transformation Jutsu, Fang was to learn the Sexy Jutsu. Forming a single handseal as he would the transformation jutsu, he transformed into a long haired beauty which was virtually naked. "Yeah, I wouldn't look over here if I were you, the beauty might overwhelm you." He released it as soon as he could. [1/1 Sexy Technique]

The final basic nonelemental technique Fang wanted to learn was the Feigning Sleep technique. This time forming a Dehydrated clone, he was going to have it help him. Using his chakra he performed the Feigning Sleep technique on himself which would put him into a slumber to rest. This was very useful especially if one could not fall asleep in restless situations or to knock an opponent out for capture. The clone kicked him to wake him up. [1/1 Feigning Sleep]

Fang decided he would go through his three sets of elements and learn the entry level techniques for each. He would start with the Fire Style ones. Flame-Resistance was an ability that individuals partaking in Fire Style ought to learn. First using Fire Manipulation to create a decent amount of flames around him, Fang then began to embrace the fire to improve his tolerance and followed the scroll to unlock Flame Resistance and be better resisting towards heat. The next technique would be useful for facing close combat opponents or simply to catch someone by surprise. By focusing flame chakra a white flash would form following a clap. This would cause a blinding effect towards those in close proximity. He clapped this several times almost blinding himself in the process, but the technique came fairly easily to himself as though Fang has been doing this technique for years which he had. [1/1 Veil]

On the Fire Style scroll the next technique is the Flare Technique. Forming a handseal and using a deep breath, he began to focus his Fire Style chakra. With a burst of heat and flame he released enough fire to create a miniature flare that could light up dark spaces or be used to signal for aid. Fang believed this was probably most useful in exploration scenarios, but he would not be afraid to use it in combat as well. [1/1 Flare]

The final entry level technique Fang sought to learn was the Cinder. Cinder was essentially would exist to create a spark at one point. While Fang believes he could do far more with his current understanding, this technique could be used for show and flare. Focusing his chakra to his fingertips, Fang proceeded to snap his fingers to create a spark. He knew he could use this to light something on fire or to simply be an annoyance. [1/1 Cinder]
