__A r e a tab D e s c r i p t i o n || tab The Pacification Docks and Bank is the least developed part of Frostblight. The road to the docks and the river bank is a dirt road studded with light blue ice shards and blood red crystals on either side, both no taller than 2 feet. The dirt road bifurcates, the blue ice crystals going north leading toward wooden docks. The docks are made of wood and hold 3 rustic, flat fishing boats and two sturdier and larger boats meant for exploring the Pacification River. Due south, the red crystals lead to an embankment in the river where the water is shallow enough to allow people to enjoy the salt water Pacification river without fear of being attacked by the more dangerous creatures that lurk its deep waters. A mile further south is a partially submerged wooden shack that houses three tamed young Qar-shouuo, measuring between 3 and 6 feet, and two untamed new born Qar-shouuo, less than a foot long.

__R u l e s || tab • Because of how dangerous the waters can be, no fishing boat may leave without a Qar-shouuo escort. tab • Any exploration done leaving from here must be done with at least one cartographer and two trained individuals. tab • All exploration missions must be approved and provide, EXP, points toward religion of choice, credit, and advancement credits for title within the kingdom. Any new discovered land that is successfully claimed in the name of the king doubles all the rewards. tab •

_________________The Narrator Screeches || tab The docks were a bustling port upon the river, and nothing showed that quite like the small fleet of boats that were docked far out into the river to allow for maximum shippage. There many soldiers, scouts, and regular gatherers worked to try and gather as much information and supplies as possible to fulfill the commands of their king. Given their relatively small population, nearing one hundred souls in total, there thankfully wasn't much in the way of bumping into each other and wild carousing. No, instead there was a quiet intensity as they focused upon their job with the utmost concern. tab As such, as Reza entered the district it was quite easy to find the one named Grenn at the lead of a large group who had gathered together to speak to the dock master, who was taking reports to provide to the King upon his arrival. Grenn, white haired, dark in skin and with a bow made of aluminum, stood next to his great landshark companion who remained placidly beside him, calmly determining if the dockmaster would taste delicious or as disgusting as his face was hideous. Yet as the king arrived and a scout gestured behind him towards Reza the young man turned and bowed to the king, extending the clipboard with many notes chalked onto thin slabs of stone towards him. Whether he took it or not was up to him, of cours,e but the others were all bowing and kneeling in their different methods of genuflections favored in their prospective cultures. tab As Reza would read it he would find the results of each of their missions, written in short hand often utilized by the dockmaster to save time and space.
tab • Party South → While traveling south trying to locate the Sprite Sanctuary it became obvious something strange had happened. South of here there appears to be a strange warping in the air that appears only if seen from the southwest. Beyond this shimmering, which takes up ten feet by ten feet, the group scouted another few days and were unable to find the Sanctuary, nor find any of the points of interest Reza had mentioned. However, they staked out a perimeter of the swirling forces with wood and stone, hoping to at least mark where it was for future finding, but did not proceed through as they are uncertain of what would happen. tab • The group that headed North found something...interesting. This group has come back two less in number, and each carries wounds. It looks like Kira, her Shark, and Sheran were both killed in this foray. While traveling North the group came across a large party of Anzu coming south towards their home. Or, at least, in the general vicinity. When they tried to return quietly they came across a group of black canines with upside down faces and a malnourished way about them. The problem is that these creatures attacked the group and they couldn't seem to harm them any kind of permanently. As they attempted to flee the Anzu leaped in to attack, killing the hounds, and accidentally slaying two of the scouts in the process. They seemed to be killed as collateral. The group fled, but returned to try and recover their allies bodies, only to find the Anzu devouring their flesh and tearing into them using automated blades and what looked like surgical equipment, powered by electricity from some sort of device. They made it back from there but are still down for the count moral wise. tab • The fish count has increased, with double the normal yield coming in this time of the month. They can eat well and sell the excess without issue.

Upon reaching the docks, Grenn was waiting for me along with the dockmaster. It was good to see that everything was running smoothly here. As was custom, everyone took pause of their work and bowed upon my arrival and all it took from me was a single gesture to make them rise. It felt strange to have these people react this way, I hoped I would never grow used to it because it imparted in me a sense of responsibility. Their lives are in my hands. Their livelihoods are in my hands. Anything I do, right or wrong, can save or cost lives. The weight of that responsibility, while enormous, was also gratifying because I knew I was doing things right. This community would not exist without it. I reached over to the dock master and took the clipboard from him. My eyes skimmed through the first part of the report. I stopped there, pulled out a small notebook from my pocket and jotted down the relevant information:
“Shimmering, air warping, day’s sail south. Only visible from the southwest. Area is marked for future finding. Low priority of investigation, but worth a look.”
That did not take me more than ten seconds to write down. I closed my notebook stored it and my pencil away and continued reading. I read the opening lines and the expression on my face changed from mild interest in the discovery of the first group, to shock, rage and pain. I clenched my jaw and my eyes remained glued on one name: Kira. She was dead. Just like that. I had begged her to be careful and to come back to me. She was meant to be my queen. And now she… she was gone. I stopped reading the paper and instead handed the clipboard to Grenn. “Keep the town on high alert. Everyone is to remain within the walls. If any outsiders come, allow them in, the paths might be dangerous.” I stopped talking as I felt tears come to my eyes. I must remain strong, everyone was looking at me, but in the times where I had been weak, she had been my rock. She was the one I leaned on. Now I had no one. “I’m going to see exactly what happened. Find Lyla and Airis, have them meet me at the gates. Once I talk to Mikah and Eliza I expect to leave at once. At the very least, I’m getting their remains back.” With that, I turned around, giving my back to the crowd and marched to the temple where I knew the wounded would be treated. I needed to know exactly what happened. How it happened. Who’s fault it was. If it was those savages’ fault, there would be hell to pay.

My arrival at the dock was met with Grenn running up to me asking me how his friends, our friends, were. I responded by telling him that they were apparently going to be okay, they were undergoing sensitive medical procedures, but that at the rate things were going, the doctors expected them to survive thankfully. Green sighed in relief and then showed me the large fish haul. I turned to two workers who were taking a break and ordered them to go deliver it to the Crystal Scar where they would be salted and stored for the months to come so they would be handed out to the people of the city, and to put some away for trade. “Get me your fastest shark, Grenn.” I turned sharply to the boy and almost barked the order at him. He looked upon me confused, unsure what I meant. “M-my lord… Are you going to ride one alone?” He asked with some hesitation. I responded with a nod and without must more wait, he made his way down to the stables, and returned riding one of the creatures, a water-proof leather saddle around its back and reigns to control where it moved. “At least let me come with you.” He said strongly. “They were my friends too.” I could see the determination in his eyes, but I could not lose him too. He was too important to the city. Without Kira, he was one of my two remaining beast masters; he was invaluable, an asset that I could not afford to lose, and as such, regardless of how much I knew it meant to him to go out on this trip with me, I could not allow it, so I coldly shook my head. “No Grenn. I’m afraid I can’t let you do that. I can’t lose you too. If I’m not back by nightfall tomorrow, tell Akihiko that for the sake of everyone here, to attempt to secure peace between us and the Anzu. If we want to lead Sakaar’s army in the afterlife, we must first live our lives here.” I turned away from the boy, knowing that this might be too much for him, but this world was no place for children, he must grow up, as all of us had to. I got on that damned land shark, led it to the water, and sailed away from the city to recover our people’s remains. They died for this city, they deserved to rest here.
