Mythology Creation:Long ago, the Gods blessed the lands with a great power. With this power, those who were blessed with this power tended to be the demigods that were produced from the Gods own internal affairs within the human race. With these powers, civilizations were raised, empires were created, and great armies were amassed. These powers, while in main forms, all were produced thanks to the gift of Flame. Most people know of these powers universally as magic. These practitioners have been around for years. Witches with great abilities were actually just demigods blessed with the gift from the gods. The descendants of the demigods were trained, pushed to the limits and while being human at their core, were genetically evolved to produced bodies naturally able to use these gifts while breaking the limits of what normally is bound to humans. These evolved species were called Gravity Children. They would pick up where their ancestors left off. Over the years, the humans didn’t take to kindly to the demigods flaunting their gifts and being dominant towards them. They rebelled many times, but with each rebellion came nothing but failure. The humans grew desperate and prayed to any gods that they could. One answered, Dolos. Dolos would use this opportunity as a challenge of his skills. Dolos would trick Hypnos to put the humans that prayed into a hypnotic state, charging the brain to produce a ascendant state at the cost of one’s own existence. This ascendant state usually erased and reprogrammed a human creating a whole new being. This includes new personalities and thought processing.. This state allowed them the mental access and capability needed to be able to control and use the gifts. The nature of the gifts have always been that they were always accessible but only the demigods used it because they were the only ones with the mental aptitude to be able to use them because they held within the internal secrets of how they worked. This was how the gods had planned it. Now that these mental secrets were no longer a secret to the humans, they gained access to the gift. Growing stronger, they revolted. War soon came, bringing chaos amongst the realm. In a Band-Aid effort, Zues ordered for the gift of the gods to be spread to all beings in attempt to be able to recruit humans who were not hypnotized to join him. The results weren’t favorable. Don’t be fooled, the war was never dangerous enough to scare the gods. Just was more of a nuisance.
The Ancient Gift Conflict: A century passed and there was no letup in sight over the war between the Ascendants and the Descendants of the Gravity Children. a** time grew, their manipulation of the Gods gift grew exponentially, creating alternative uses and even alternative gifts in the process as well as increases in destructive potential. Tired of seeing their beautiful world in ruins, something had to be done. Instead of directly interfering, the gods created regalia designed in their image and sent them to earth. These regalia were powerful weapons, being able to harness the specific gift designed from the god that created it and harness a greater power. Not only did this make the gifts easier to use, but also allowed for the destructive access to a destructive power that has been described as godlike in itself. We know this today as the Infinity Atmosphere. Several warriors eventually gained access to these regalia, using it to turn the tide in the conflict. This resulted in victory for the Gods and Gravity Children. With this victory, the gods knew they couldn’t undo the gifts, but they could hide it. The gods commanded the warriors who possessed the regalia to lock them away. With this, the regalia were locked away in ancient tombs, filled with challenges in which only one who is worthy can overcome. Many stories and maps about these events were created. Most of them stored in the great Library of Alexandria. When it burned down, so did most of humanities knowledge. The gifts were lost forever, at least that was the belief.
The Modernization Era: Along with other types of technological advancements within the modern age, the creation of air treks occurred. Air Trecks or ATs are high tech motorized inline skates that were originally designed as a revolutionary new propulsion system that combined efficient energy circuits and an energy recovering system. This technology was not designed with inline skating in mind. It would be many years until Air Trecks became accessible to the general public as inline skates. As inline skates, they were a huge hit, occurring on each block where anyone who was anyone would do anything to have a pair. People skated everywhere and some even started to push the limits of what these Air treks could do. By this, soon came the discovery of roads which dictated how a person rode. With this, it created a new element of fun, and new element of danger. Soon, these treks were used for more destructive races and events, parts wars coming into creation at first as a way to get a high adrenaline thrill but soon came as a way of life, creating the sub culture of storm riding. Storm riding soon became all that anyone wanted to do. This brought forth creation of teams, gangs, and police force. The response started out by trying to ban gang activity, but it failed. Then came air trek ban, it failed again.. Soon, there would be nothing that could be done to stop Air treks. There always been one thing no one could figure out, and that was the pseudo-science behind the tricks. How were they possible? Many started to question that it was purely science; others took a more imaginative route.
Kings of Kyoto: The best riders around would soon come forth to create a team called Kings of Kyoto. This team ended up being the best of the best as no rider was able to challenge them on their respective roads. Yet, battles seemed empty. There was no stakes, no thrill. So, they decided do what anyone would think to do and battle each other. During their battles with each other, they were pushed to the brink having their skills tested beyond comparison. Within these battles, they unlocked access to a new trick, the Infinity Atmosphere. While rare and not as strong, this brought forth the information that Infinity Atmospheres could be used without the Regalia by non-Kings if they were Kings before. When using these IA’s the members each saw a projection that was infused in their IA. For example, the Flame king, saw the projection of a temple in his flames. For the Wing King, she saw the projection of a different temple in entirely different climate in her wind. The story, while altered per each person, yielded the same results. Some had visions of the same temple. With nothing to do, they packed up and traveled out finding and entering into the temples. Over the course of 3 months, they each would head back and return with stories about their journey and each had in possession different types of items. Wing: steal wings that flexed. Flame: an eternal burning spheres of bronze, Rising: A suit of armor that retracted from the body into a pair of gauntlets, Bloody: Sharp Fangs of an unknown beast, Ring: A giant metal cross with many wires and spare core parts, Gaia: powerful Vibrating quarts that glowed when touched, Over: A reverse suction engine, and Sonia: Whips made out of sharp metallic thorns. Looking at what they brought back, they all felt empowered by the items but they weren’t usable as they were except for Ring. One by one, the pledge queen ended up link tuning with each member, creating something new out of the parts of what they had brought back, they would end up forging what would be known today as the regalia. As for the members that did not have any parts, the extra cores were used to create their regalia. Luckily, there was enough to fit most members. All except for Smell and Rock. Lather’s core was degraded, making it’s regalia more of a sub regalia in comparison to the others. With these regalia made and now attuned to their tricks to a more functional service in the modern era, they would take to the streets and try them out.
Kings of a New Era: Descending upon Kyoto, the kings faced new challengers and challenges. The regalia being their crown that was known unto the world, everyone strived to try and defeat them. Everyone strived for their down fall, but it never came. New rules were introduced into Storm Riding. An introduction of a sign of a true number one being the person who is in possession of the regalia. With it, regalia challenge rules were created. With the introduction of the regalia, the kings used them in battle with no mercy. The IAs while strong, produced heavy effects on air treks and produced major wear. At the same time, they produced major destruction. In a final effort, the ATP attempted to take down the Kings of Kyoto in order to confiscate such power. They failed. With the ATP defeated, they went to government officials on what to do. The government however, did the unthinkable and created sort of a Utopia. The ATP was reconstructed, only being sent out and mobilized during extreme situations such as murder through use of air treks. Besides that, they are powerless. The government put 100% legalization of all atp parts and weapons and parts wars. All damages caused by parts wars are paid 100% by the government. The true question is why? Why would they allow open season of air treks? Why would they not worry about damage to their infrastructure? No one knows the true answers of why this was occurring. The only thing that is known for sure is that the government wants parts wars and wants air treks to be untethered. Even in the ATP prison, while monitored, parts wars and battles are held like underground fighting rings.
Present Time: It's the year 2350 and Storm riding is still popular and a way of life to this day. It’s able to be used to make money or earn respect. Many sponsors have hopped on the wave, creating places specifically for air trek battles in hope to minimize the damage while making cash from teens and fans around the world wanting to watch Air Trek action. Still, there are many parts wars that happens in the streets and gang activity has risen tremendously. As for the Kings of Kyoto, they were last heard from 70 Years ago and are long dead and gone. They left a final message. They informed the status of kings was vacant and that anyone had rights to the regalias, they just have to prove themselves in order to find it. However, no hints were given on where they were at. It’s rumored that the Kings left clues all around Japan in their own special way. Where are the regalias now? They are back in the temples, taking place of the items that they took from there. The kings also put one last gift, attaching Japanese mythology to name each regalia. Suddenly, there has been a post on the BBS that had the list of the names of the regalia. The first hint of their location.
