__ Sandayu paid little mind to the mention of a power that could slay gods. Whether his mother lied or not, simply accepting such information at face value was a needless gamble. If it wasn't already obvious from meeting his mother, gods were fallible; therefore, they could be killed. Evergreen's abrasive defensiveness toward him was also a sign of fear. His attention was promptly removed from Kagami and Evergreen due to Moriko's outburst. He could not deny that his focus was more on himself than the rest of his family, recently met or otherwise. However, he could say with certainty that Moriko's belief that he'd not prevent her death was grossly inaccurate. Even despite his betrayal, Sandayu was certain that he'd not leave Masato dead... for long. Their mother's unnecessarily cryptic assurance stirred a flame even within himself and his gaze hardened upon her. This expression lingered, even momentarily intensified for a moment, as she pronounced his rare honesty as a fallacy only because the wretched flea his family sealed in him. Despite his growing anger, he still heard and understood her demands. It wasn't something he wasn't willing to compromise over, but he was certain now that he'd never be able to easily agree with Evergreen's ways.
Sandayu's gaze softened drastically compared to how he stared at their mother as he turned to face Moriko. He took a deep breath and addressed her first, but only because he didn't give a damn about Evergreen's attitude. "As your brother, I make this pledge to you." He took a moment to organize his feelings and then spoke through them to her, "Sister, I swear that death will be forever the furthest concern in your life henceforth. I will not be yielded by any obstacle to protect you from harm." He offered her a low bow of his head to his little sister. As he raised his head he turned to face Evergreen again and replied with a firm tone after Kagami gave her plea. "That was a fox, Masato's mutt for that matter. This..." He pointed to the nape of his neck with his right hand's index finger, tapping it twice, "... insect was not involved in our altercation. I only ever used my own power to fight you, and I will never use this parasite's power for myself. I don't need it. I don't want it. If the Iga Clan's fuuinjutsu wasn't so powerful, thanks to teachings from you, I would have succeeded in destroying its spirit as well as its mind." Just the thought of that glaring inadequacy of his abilities resurfaced his seething frustration. Choumei would wail in pain from within his mental realm as he exerted his power upon the sealing chamber it was locked away in.
Sandayu took another deep breath and slowly exhaled before saying, "If all I have to do is be rid of the bijuu to regain your trust then so be it. If I so chose to, I could make a creature far stronger, so it is no loss to me." It might be hard for Kagami to believe, considering her pride in the mutant habitating beside her soul, but he hoped she could continue to trust in his confidence- even in the face of a goddess. "However, before I accept your terms I have one of my own." Sandayu stepped toward Evergreen, unconcerned with his boldness. He'd stop at a point where he didn't have to raise his voice as he had been to communicate. "I will teach it one last lesson before it tastes undeserved freedom again." Sandayu was certain that he would inflict a wound upon the creature which it could never escape or forget no matter how many times it reincarnated. This was the least he could do to satisfy some of his people's vengeance. It was a condition that was not only inconsequential to Evergreen's will, but also one that the goddess would likely take pleasure in spectating. Also, it would further assure the goddess that her son held no love or allegiance for bijuu.

The Mother had no words for Moriko. No words could capture the profound anguish within her. The only answer she had for her daughter was something she was not ready to learn. Therefore, she directed her attention instead to Kagami, who rightfully spoke in Sandayu’s speech. Truth be told she was torn, since on one hand she needed Kagami to believe that she would win the war against Arashi. On the other hand, she knew who did need to win. Her foresight knew that the only path for the true future was with Sandayu shedding his demon. Thankfully, the boy seemed wise enough to listen to his mother. His comments about it being his own strength which defied her caused the woman to laugh. “You’re a half entity of Ancient Nature Chakra. Having the vile demon chakra’s in your system, conscious or not, corrupts your very nature. Therefore, your comment about giving it punishment is just only in that you punish yourself.” Evergreen was surprised with how much she needed to explain his demon to the boy who had it within him for all of this time. Did he seriously believe the average Joe had the power to rival her? Her death shook her, but she was far from helpless. “However, do as you like my son. Make peace with yourself, and then all will be right. I am your mother after all. What mother wouldn’t forgive her son?” She asked softly.
Moriko paused briefly to think about everything that was just said. Her brother, Sandayu...cared for her. He'd risk his life to keep her safe. And maybe he didn't love her in the way that Moriko had hoped, but he loved her the only way he knew how. Moriko took comfort in knowing that she had at least one ally in this world. But she knew she couldn't trust him, at least not completely. Not after learning about this demon that was within her sibling. She would have to keep her guard up. However, at least she could now consider Sandayu not only a brother, but a friend as well.
Moriko turned her attention back to Evergreen, who had completely ignored everything that she had just said to The Mother. Evergreen was solely focused on Sandayu now, paying no attention to Moriko. After her angry episode previously, Moriko was calm when thinking about Sandayu. But now, as she pondered how her mother could simply ignore her after not seeing her for all this time, a rage built up inside her that she could not control. It was as if Moriko.. disappeared for a time, and a darker, more dangerous presence took over. As she stood, her hands trembling, her eyes bloodshot with anger and her face red, she felt what could only be compared to lightning shoot through her body. The appearance of red flames (a materialization of Moriko's chakra) started at her feet and rose slowly around her body. The flames grew until they reached her head, and Moriko's blood pressure rose to almost an unheard of number. All rational thought went out the window at this point. "You.. mother.. will NOT ignore me." Moriko had never even used chakra before. She wasn't even aware she had this much. And her body couldn't handle that much materialization at once. Moriko then fainted, and collapsed onto the ground. Rai immediately came to her side, immediately began to lick her face, but Moriko did not respond.

__ Kagami was certain that her husband had taken leave of his senses when he announced wanting to get rid of his demon. She could not help but be attracted to his self-assurance despite how frustrating this was for her. She also had some business to handle with her husband that would not be appropriate for his mother and sister to witness. Ever since she watched him demolish Uzushiogakure she has felt an intense desire for him. There were also very significant matters for them to discuss. With the hope of this conversation being over with soon, Kagami would hold her tongue and allow of this to play out. Especially since Evergreen decided to ignore her reasonable proposal. Moriko's meltdown was entertaining Kagami in the meantime as the enchantress revealed an intrigued smirk.

The cost is increased by half of the original technique cost on the demon's reserve. • Mild fortitude boost. • Suiton jutsu used by the host overwhelm ninjutsu of the same rank. Obei trailed behind Kagami silently as the towering oni would stand watch over her boss. Sure it was hardly needed and she could probably handle herself but the oni at least wanted to ask like she could help. These lands were so vast and expansive, the change in scenery was almost literal and they found themselves in a rain forest shortly after clearing the turtle lake. They stumbled across a shrine, maybe some kind of weird altar thing to something Obei had little idea what was to, and look, there was one other person of Kogarashi. They appeared to have stumbled across Sandayu and some other woman, to which Kagami immediately went about accusing her of sleeping with her husband. Obei opened her mouth to intervene but decided against it. She instead would walk to join the group and stand there herself, those eyes eyes of hers watching. Gazing.
Fortunately for Kagami's own sanity the girl was Sandayu's sister. Most fortunate, as the break up between these two was going to be legendary if such a thing had ever happened. A close one. A very close one indeed. Obei shuffled on her feet and watched while Sandayu continued with what he had been doing before being so rudely interrupted. His chakra flowed through the stone here, as a piercing ray of light came in order to greet a beautiful green haired woman that descended from the clouds. Obei, while being clueless as to what was occurring, would watch on silently. Was she the odd one out here? Of course, since...well besides the whole "tallest person here" thing, she was the only non family member here. The woman said nothing but eyed each of them with as much elation as a wolf cornered an injured deer.
Which was to say none at all.
Still, Obei would remain ready to act if such an act would fall upon her shoulders. They talked some and talked some more. Obei rocked back and forth a little, reaching on the ground attached to her side and taking a large gulp from it. The sweet and strong taste of kakigōri greeted her pale lips, the girl letting out a pleased sigh capping the gourd back and then returning to silently watching everything play out after her break. Nobody was talking still, and it was putting her on edge. There was some movement here and there but the most noticeable one was the woman putting her staff to the ground and facing Sandayu. Such a strange family. Very strange.
The first action in what felt like centuries occurred as Sandayu's sister would summon forth an immense amount of chakra and glare up at the woman, as if she had committed some unspeakable act against her. Her vengeance was surely near...until she fainted. Was it from a lack of experience or somehow one of their doings? Obei wasn't sure but would slowly approach the black haired youth and kneel down, gently picking her up in case something would happen. She did seem important to Sandayu, and so Obei would at least try to keep her safe.

__ Sandayu was growing tired of this farce, especially since it was doing him no good to try to behave for the sake of appealing to Evergreen. Even when he agreed to her terms she prodded at and belittled him. Sure, as a goddess she might be entitled to such haughtiness, but her abilities as a parent were truly deplorable. He sighed heavily and rolled his eyes as she laughed at him, letting her say what she felt the need to, and rested on a frown when she suggested that she was capable of forgiveness. At this point, he highly doubted that to be entirely true. "I-" He stopped before he could start when Moriko went off again, her chakra flaring to surprisingly high levels for only a moment before she fainted due to overexertion. A subtle raising of his left hand enacted a softly applied Shinra Tensei and it would ease her fall to the ground so that she would not be needlessly harmed even by her own volition, as he promised his little sister. Rai, Moriko's lion companion, and Obei could tend to her in her unconscious state. "Yeah... I'll do as I like. It isn't like it matters to you anyway, mother." The tortured Nanabi cried even louder from within the confines of it's seal due to the intensified pressure put upon the bijuu by its jinchuuriki. The proximity to it's brethren would easily draw Isobu's attention. Not that Sandayu was bothered by these creatures' opinions.
He finished raising his hand from before, settling his palm on the nape of his neck and focusing for a few moments. Circumventing the Iga's sealing formula had proven extremely difficult, but simply undoing it was another matter entirely. Sandayu had prepared for this moment at the very time that he mastered the monster's power only to decide that it was not its power that he desired or needed to accomplish his goals. The seal became visible over his skin and then glowed white hot under his palm as energy was channeled through it. Within his shared mental realm the sounds of massive locks could be heard clicking, then knocking, and finally... bursting. The square prism restraining the Nanabi would explode around it into tiny shards of light, and in the world outside of his mind there would be its own reaction. The air around everyone became dense and heavy, but not quite as much as when Evergreen appeared before them all. A blast of light formed high in the skies above everyone, but not before the shimmering shards blackened then disintegrated.
The bijuu roared, causing quakes that easily fissured the land's surface and caused the nearby trees to bow to its power. "Freeeeeeeeeee!!" Choumei exclaimed at the end of its roar and his voice shifted to a hiss as he turned his gaze down upon the humans and otherwise waiting below. He was not sure why, but something about Evergreen's presence in particular stirred him to anger despite very much wanting to flee before becoming recaptured or worse. The kabutomushi creature shifted his attention to the boy who had served as his host until a moment ago. Honestly, he was both surprised and not by the fact that Sandayu was standing firm and hardly winded from the bijuu's release. It was more than clear that he was no normal mortal, as if that hadn't been understood by the Nanabi by now. No other had been able to treat him as had been done. "I'm sorry, Isobu." The moments that passed since tasting the sky again were already overspent. As much as he wished he could, Choumei knew he could not afford to fight here and now in his own weakened state. Another chance would surely arise in the future for them to be reunited under better circumstances. The flying beetle turned to leave.
While it contemplated its fight or flight instincts, Sandayu was... awakening to his birthrights. The potent natural energies of these jungles acted as an abundantly viable catalyst, magnetizing to the young demigod's visage and seeping into his form without so much as any required effort on his part. 'At least... she wasn't lying about this.' Honestly, Sandayu was relieved that Evergreen's cryptic wordplay was more straightforward than suggested. In every way, this now power that surged from within him rivaled that of the Bijuu's own directionless strength, but without the necessary restraints that seals enacted to bind the host to the demon. Despite his certainty for needing to leave, Choumei lacked the fortune to successfully escape. A familiar, incredibly overwhelming force surrounded and threw him into the ground with such force that Awajishima would consider itself lucky for instead of the fate it suffered. The fissures from the bijuu's roar became further agape, turning into small crevices that curved around everyone to avoid their harm. Sandayu's eyes glowed brightly to accentuate the Eternal Mangekyo Rinnebyakusharingan in all its supposedly unparralelled might. The veins at the sides of his face flexed as a massive summoning formula appeared behind the Nanabi. The Gedo Mazo's right arm came out of it first, slamming down on the bijuu's tough carapace and further pinning it against the ground before it crawled out from the hellscape it was stored in. The monstrous statue howled at the helpless bijuu as Sandayu harnessed his chakra through a tiger and then a ram hand seal to give one of his many aces its orders. Five of those powerful chakra-binding chains he used to subdue the behemoth Evergreen summoned erupted from the Gedo's gaping mouth. Each would penetrate deeply into the bijuu's carapace, causing it to writhe and cry in pain.
Sandayu just smirked as he parted his hands and then turned his gaze to Evergreen. "I'm curious, mother. Will you tell me how many mortals there are in your world that can kill one of these pathetic pests? Or... how many of your mortals would be needed to collectively do so?" He was honest in his inquiries. He did not have the patience to guess and lie to himself about such hypotheticals. Instead, why not ask what he assumed to be the most powerful god in the world about his rivals? Then again, Sandayu somewhat figured she'd just shrug him off again and probably lie or at least withhold the truth. He turned his gaze forward upon the restrained bijuu once again. The Gedo Mazo continued to physically pin the bijuu, unfazed by it attempting to carve into its body with any of those scythe-like legs. The chakra chains began to glow a vibrant violet purple color before that glow split up into a total of nine phantasmal dragons which would rapidly drain a huge chunk of chakra out of it to reinforce itself. Given it's already weakened state, and considering the crippling violence brought upon even its physical body, the Nanabi's resistance suffered greatly by the end of these attacks. The three Truth-Seeking Orbs still statically floating behind him in formation multiplied by four times in number. The twelve orbs merged into one and shaped into a massive lance-like form. With a flick of his lazily extended index and middle fingers, the pitch black lance flew with significant speed and force plunging itself into the center mass of the restrained bijuu. Choumei groaned and growled as it continued even still to break free. It was no longer a want to leave, but a need that was guided by pure instinct. However, Choumei's current strength was inadequate, and an exertion of the Outer Path's power through the Truth-Seeking Lance allowed Sandayu to exert his dominance over it once more. The bijuu ceased to move, relaxing entirely where it lay. The Gedo Mazo then rose up to stand away from the placated foe. The chains appeared to have vanished, but the ends remained in its mouth and Choumei's carapace. "I'm done with you. The rest of the Iga's vengeance lies in the Land of Floods. End yourself; parasite. Now." As ordered, the bijuu would incite its remaining power to implode upon itself. This was the most it could do to itself to best carry out the given order. Bijuu and the Truth-Seeking Lance vanished into an imploding vortex which eventually became no more.
The Gedo Mazo would then be dispelled as a gigantic plume of smoke. "Haaah..." Sandayu sighed, showing genuine relief for what had just transpired. He took a moment to really look himself over, not needing to do much to do so thanks to the Byakugan. He could tell that the natural energy that he'd absorbed was stable within and around him. However, it wouldn't be long before this newfound power fully converted to be that of his own entirely. There was an unusual serenity resting in his mind. "Finally..." He sighed heavily, quite obviously glad to not only be rid of the bijuu but to have exacted a large portion of his overdue vengeance in one fell swoop. Honestly, Sandayu wasn't sure how Kagami would feel about this turn of events, but at least he could confirm that he was much, much stronger than he was as a jinchuuriki. That was saying a lot.

Evergreen's eyes did not moved from Moriko as she unleashed her chakra. Whatever blow the young lady wanted to fire at her Evergreen would tank. She showed no emotion until the moment when Moriko's sudden expression of power caused her to faint. Evergreen's eyes widen with fear as her hand extended toward her daughter. In an act of Korabo her chakra merged with Sandayu so that she drifted even softer to the ground. She could not fathom what she would have done if the girl experienced any pain in her presence. Evergreen wanted nothing more than to tell her daughter the truth, but now was not the moment. On the topic of the truth, it emerged.
The vile trace of demon dared to cross her domain. Her hand rose to summon natural chakra when Sandayu took care of it for her. She had to admit that, despite her chip on her shoulder from dying at her son's hand, seeing him slam the filth down in front of her did make her incredibly proud of her son. Of course she would never share that with him, however, since he did not deserve praise. After all, when one breaks a vase, you don't reward the child for cleaning up the shards. Still, she wasn't sure how to answer Sandayu's question. "If mortals cannot kill a god without a demon, then they certainly lack the power to end a demon." She decided. She answered him as honestly as possible. "There's one last thing you need, Sandayu." She said as her staff floated in the air above her. Handseals formed as nature chakra radiated from all around Sandayu. The orb on the staff radiated as a beam of chakra collided with Sandayu. The blast would increase his strength even further, thus moving him from a partial deity to a true, lesser god. "Your domain over Nature will never be questioned. Sages who gather nature through the sage lands cannot form their powers against you." She stated as the staff returned to her hand. She was sure that Sandayu would think that he was immune to all sages. And, prior to her latest trick, all sages did get their nature chakra exclusively from contracts with animals.

About a minute after she fainted, Moriko's eyes opened slowly. She knew she fell down, definitely, but somehow she wasn't injured. She glanced at her arms and legs for a brief moment. No bruises, no cuts, nothing. It was as if she hadn't fainted at all. She must've received protection from someone, but she wasn't sure who. It was no matter. She was safe, and that was all she cared about right now.
Moriko looked at Sandayu. He seemed...different somehow. More powerful, but in a different way than before. His power had a more peaceful nature to it now. What happened while I was out? Moriko wondered.
"What the hell happened? The last thing I remember is thinking about Sandayu and what he said about protecting me. Everything is black after that." Her blood pressure was still a little elevated and she felt quite a bit of anxiety, but she was unsure as to why or what had happened. What was going on with her?

__ Sandayu had a very different relationship with his demon than her own. Kagami knew this before but it was manifesting even more apparent in these moments. She managed to deceive Isobu into trusting her with his power while Sandayu tortured Choumei into submission. Kagami could already feel Isobu squirming as it watched its kin attempt to fly away but knew what was coming next. Isobu felt powerless as it watched Choumei's suffering by the cruel demigod. "N-no, I-I-I'm sorry!" Isobu wailed out in emotional anguish but did not have the capacity to cry. He was bound by the sealing method and unable to do anything about what was happening. "It's almost over." She calmly assured Isobu who continued to watch in horror. When Choumei eventually was ordered to end his own life and disappeared Kagami offered Sandayu an annoyed facial expression. She did not care how much natural energy Sandayu was given because there were no entities with abilities as powerful and varied as that of the nine bijuu from what she understood. "He's just going to reconstitute himself somewhere else." Isobu offered this knowledge to Kagami in response to Sandayu's boasting about "killing" the Kabutomushi. Isobu's voice was shy but spiteful and hateful toward Sandayu. Kagami's irritated expression faded when she saw the relieved look on Sandayu's face. That was one face that she had never seen from him before out of his usual lineup of apathy or angry. Then again, she knew that she was able to give him expressions of pleasure, but this was more like a pain that had ended after years of his own torment. The enchantress looked over briefly to see Obei tending to the fainted Moriko. She offered a reassuring smile to Obei before turning her attention back to the center of it all, Evergreen. Kagami was lost for words and would simply stand and process this quietly. Truth be told, her hunger for the powerful man was becoming completely insatiable. His ability to effortlessly destroy such a powerful creature left her in a bit of a fluster.

Sakkakugan Attribues • Life Sense | Within 100 meters, any type of life is able to be seen as a bright glow, when even the Byakugan cannot see it. • Potent Illusions | Genjutsu performed while Sakkuguan is active are treated to cost an extra [5] chakra per rank of the genjutsu to Kai. • Sixth Sense as the First | With a stationary body, Kagami can detach her vision and walk around to look at things. Cannot physically move during this. • The Gift of Life | Kagami may trade her life for another's, resurrecting them if they were recently killed.
Sanbi Attributes Chakra Cloak Version 1: Basic Effects • Slight fortitude boost. • The host will begin to draw in ambient water towards itself slowly from the environment, drawing in a C ranked amount per post. This water will fall from the sky, rise from the ground, whatever so long as it is coming towards the host. It pools and rests around its feet and stays within an area of 10 feet. • Host can breathe underwater.
Chakra Cloak Version 1: Advanced Effects 2/10 Advanced Effects: • The Sanbi can take one of the user's activations to cast any illusion or enchantment genjutsu that the host knows using demon chakra. Doing so adds on another primary sense at the host's discretion, and increases the targets that it can affect by one where applicable. The cost is increased by half of the original technique cost on the demon's reserve. • Mild fortitude boost. • Suiton jutsu used by the host overwhelm ninjutsu of the same rank. They also lose their elemental weaknesses.

With an Uchiha in hand, Obei silently gazed at the group of them, her eyes never moving from the sight. Sandayu would be given a command to expel the demon from his body. the ensueing scene was enough to make the oni's heart sink. The cries of the demon crying for mercy, for the pain to end. But why did Obei feel for it? It was a monster, a demon capable of destroying towns, cities, villages. Yet, it reminded her of herself. Something that was being punished for the crime of simply existing. For the first time, her eyes looked away. Disgust filled her soul as the demon would continue its cries. Her breathing increased again as it had when Obei had been feeling guilty about the attack of Uzu from before. Moriko awoke as Obei would quietly lower her back to the ground but keep an eye on her in case she had another episode.
"Obei glad is okay."
Her words were simple, looking to Kagami after spotting Sandayu looking far more relaxed than he normally did. She hid her pain behind a nod of her own before crossing her arms and then continuing to be present for whatever would happen next.

__ Sandayu was somewhat amused watching Evergreen partake in saving Moriko from harm. It wasn't that he didn't think she wouldn't, given the gentler attitude toward her daughter, but rather just a matter of hesitant respect. Likewise, her answer to his question verified what he wanted to know. He was in fact greater than a mortal, even if not yet an actual god. It was certainly a good thing that even though all his powers were completely balanced and fair, he was obviously just better at using them than others in the meta. Sanda's elation climbed closer to peak with the Nanabi's demise and a surprise gift from Evergreen to go with it. The natural energies that were filling the void which the bijuu occupied only found that their power well grew by about fifty percent. Of course, that carnal stare from his wife caught his attention as well. Sandayu glanced over his shoulder at Evergreen to hear the statements she had about the power he had just gained. His brow furrowed slightly at the last part about other natural energy users being unable to harm him. His training as a shinobi of the Iga clan contradicted that advice entirely. The tenet to "Never underestimate any foe, no matter how great oneself is" most loudly spoke against the goddess' advice. A glance in the woken Moriko's direction earned his younger sister a nod. Sandayu wouldn't explain what she missed, but the nod was meant to assure her that everything was fine.
He turned away and spoke his thoughts, "Great. Now on to Arashigakure's destruction. They will pay for destroying my home and killing my people with their own lives." His relaxed visage gradually tensed again as his next target became focused upon. Sandayu brushed off the foolish prattling of Belamos as they invaded his thoughts. "Peace is a lie, there is only passion." He recited the Iga Code to recenter his mind. Now he turned around to face his mother. The faint grayish cloak around his body faded as the power stabilized within him. "Now, what else must I do for you to accept my sincere apology for my shortsightedness?" He was grateful to his mother right now, so she had earned her son's better half... for now. If she continued to take things out of context and act so immature then that persona would quickly retreat. Sanda knew that Kagami was growing impatient by the moment, but he also enjoyed the thought of torturing her to have to wait longer. The woman was so used to getting what she wanted, how she wanted it, and when she wanted it. So Sandayu felt entitled to this moment where he had the advantage, so to speak.

Evergreen nodded her head at Sandayu's inquiry. "Your actions have proven you resolve. You are blessed with your mother's love." She said warmly. Her eyes looked over to Moriko, who had awoken in a midst of confusion. "No demands, but a favor. Take care of her." She said soft enough that Moriko would not hear. Her eyes glistened with the fragments of tears, but she would not cry. She was much too proud for that. A smile moved from Obei to Kagami. Both of these children would have a purpose one day, but for the moment, she would not idle further. Her body began to dissolve into leaves and flowers as she looked once again toward her son. "May justice find Arashi." She said before she disappeared. She assumed that Sandayu would take the message as implying that his course was right. She hoped for that, since her plan would not work otherwise.
Moriko was slightly irritated at the fact that nobody would tell her what had occurred prior to her fainting. She was even more irritated at Evergreen for leaving without answering any of her questions. Moriko was a "newcomer" in a sense to these people, that was for certain, but they weren't taking her seriously. She was being dismissed and tossed aside like she was irrelevant. Sandayu wasn't much older than her, and yet he was so much more powerful. The Mother took him seriously, but treated her like a little child. She hadn't had any training, but she felt power coursing through her veins. After all, she was a demigoddess by blood. Her whole life's meaning leading up to this point was to meet her brothers, and she had achieved at least half of her goal. But she had a new goal now. She wanted to become powerful, powerful enough that her mother would see her as an equal and would be forced to answer the questions that she had. Her new dream - become as powerful as a god. Was it impossible? Maybe. Was it crazy? Definitely. But Moriko needed to do it because she needed answers from Evergreen in order to find peace within herself.
Moriko stood up once more, turned to Sandayu. Her expression was much more serious now, her head bowed slightly and her eyes met Sandayu's with a new determination. "Brother, I know up to this point you may have thought of me as weak, irrelevant, a tiny speck. I know you have your own desires and from what I gather you will stop at nothing to reach them. You said you would train me, but I want to be crystal clear. I want to become as powerful as you, perhaps even more powerful. I will not be belittled by our mother any longer. I will follow you to Arashigakure and will do whatever you request of me. I will follow in your footsteps. I will not disappoint you. I want - no, I WILL - become the most powerful demigoddess this world has ever seen. And then I will confront our mother once more."

__ To his mother, Sandayu merely nodded before she took her leave. This was to both agree that they were on good terms again and to accept her favor. Even so, he thought to himself, 'Justice has no place in my victory, only vengeance.' He remembered the fool Belamos mistaking his vengeance for a pursuit of justice as well. Sandayu knew well that he was not such a noble person to do this for a righteous cause. The lives of those in Arashigakure would be taken solely out of selfishness. Either Evergreen did not understand that or she was purposefully mistaking it, but Sandayu did not care either way. She needn't ask of his sister's care from him either, but he'd gladly do as asked of him. Moriko soon after impressed him in ways that he honestly didn't expect of her. He could tell she had it in her, given her disposition for their mother throughout their whole interaction; however, he didn't trust that she could act on any of it. Her expression was... impactful. It was like looking in the mirror of himself not so long ago when he was set on this great quest of vengeance. Her reasons were her own, as they should be, but they were strong all the same. Sandayu turned to face his sister when she finished speaking, not having to until then since he could see everything she was doing up until then with his Byakugan.
The serenity he felt before was once again crushed under foot with his ambitious gaze. "You want my sincere opinion, sister?" He'd only pause for a moment, not really giving her a chance to retreat from his criticism, "I've had high expectations of you since the moment you chose to follow me here. I have high expectations of all our siblings, in fact, and only because we're destined for great things. No, our paths won't always be good... but as long as we are committed then it is always our by right to seek those paths." Sandayu folded his arms, glancing to Obei who he'd noticed hints of disdain for his claimed vengeance on the bijuu. "Those who doubt or impede our paths, sister, should either try their hardest to stand against us or accept their weakness." His attention continued to lean on the large demon girl who he was thankful for tending to Moriko at the time. "Obei, if you have something to say then say it. It isn't my place to punish you for your opinions. I do what I do because I feel it is necessary, not to please others." Sandayu would hear what Obei had to say, if anything, but would likely leave it to Kagami to address her subordinate. He looked back to his sister who was so full of fire now and said to her as he approached, "You're ready to begin your training now." There was a disarming calmness in the air around him, but he himself surely embodied far more chaotic forces.
Once he stood only an arm's reach away from Moriko he gave his first instruction. "Heed my words, Moriko, and engrave them on your heart for these are the core principles which I draw all my strength from and channel it through." Sanda raised his right hand and first extended his index finger, "Peace is a lie, there is only passion." His middle finger raised up next, "Through passion, I gain strength." Now his ring finger extended fully, "Through strength, I gain power." Finally, his pinky joined the number of raised digits, "Through power, I claim victory." All of his fingers folded back down into a fist except the index which was pointed out toward his sister's heart. "You've claimed your passion. Find your strength. Develop your power. In time, you will have what you seek as long as you do not lose sight of your goals. Let nothing stop you, not even me." He was nobody idol, nor did he expect to be. He only knew what he knew and shared that knowledge with those who cared to listen. The world would keep turning one way or another, so at the end of the day it was just a matter of who could do more than anyone else to prove who was actually right. Like Masato, he would teach her in the ways of the Iga clan. However, unlike his brother, he would be far more attentive to wavering resolve in his pupil. He wouldn't be betrayed ever again.

As Sandayu spoke, his words were coated with a fierceness and a sort of determination that was incomparable to anything Moriko had ever witnessed before. While listening carefully to the instructions that Sandayu gave to her, she recorded them in a journal that she carried around with her. After all, they were his first teachings to Moriko, and so they must have been the very essence of what it meant to Sandayu to be a ninja. Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I claim victory. Moriko carefully wrote down each sentence. The first ideology struck a major chord with her. Up to this point and this encounter with The Mother, she had always believed that everything could be solved peacefully. Her entire world would have to shift to this new idea that Sandayu had introduced to her. And although she was slightly shook up by her new outlook, she wanted to dedicate herself fully to this training, and thus she took it in stride.
"I will heed your words carefully, brother. Be assured that I will not forget these important ideologies." Moriko spoke with confidence and thoughtfulness. Before all of this, she was but an immature girl. She was maturing now, emotionally and mentally, and it showed in her demeanor and in the words she spoke.
Moriko then activated her newly-awoken one-tomoe sharingan. Although it was dull, she was able to see chakra all around her. It glowed beautifully on Kagami, Sandayu, and Obei. It was more stunning than anything she had ever seen before. The only other time that she had her sharingan active was when it was awoken, so this was the first time really seeing its power. "So..beautiful. Moriko said as she stared at Kagami, Sanda and Obei. "Sandayu. Teach me how to use this new power of mine."
