The Dark Grove | Sword's Stables

Welcome to the Dark Grove, a place for all ponies owned by SwordOfTheDarkOnes.
In the center of the Grove seems to be a rather lovely cottage with room to grow.
The yard surrounding it is a dense forest, with a nice rolling hill nearby and other terrain that seem out of sight but not nose...

The First to wander in was Banshee Web, seems he left a little nest in a dark room. Best not to poke around in it. He could get cross if you find his favorite picture.
The Second to wander in is Lava Tide, well...that bundle of energy just made a Hot Spring in the back yard. Cannonballs are not permitted due to Sword wanting to keep the yard non-marshland thank you.
The Third to wander in, seems to have vanished behind locked gates [meta pony TBA here].
The Fourth to wander in, however is the large dragon Pyrus Gale. He seems to have set up his hoard within the higher nest area of the cottage. He is an old friend of Lava's who moved into the Grove when things back home got rough.
The Fifth didn't wander in, they more or less were dropped. Arachnne Web is a surprise child to Banshee after attending a party. He is a curious soul who wishes to protect those close to him.
The Sixth is another who didn't wander in. There were always whispers from the little animals around the Grove about their existence. Nox, might of always been in the Grove choosing now to arise. Either way, Sword has given him the House Key.

The House Owner is a mysterious being who owns and operates the house via proxy. Their currently on a long vacation due to a illness and left the House Key with one of the ponies that live in the cottage now. They own the land the cottage is on. No one really knows just how big this plot of land really is. Only that things magically appear when needed.

The Grove, is a mysterious plot of land that is full of magic. Its been called many things over the years. However, The Dark Grove is what its recently earned due to the amount of light that the trees let through to the underbrush. There are many who call this place home. Small critters, ponies that lurk in the shadows...in the core of the Grove is a three story cottage. Old yet still sturdy. The front double doors are welcoming to those weary from travel. The porch wraps around the entire house and a large yard surrounds it. There's multiple areas that seem to have grown from a central point at different parts of the yard.

There seems to be a eerie fog rolling around the cottage, its warm when you walk through it. The stone path that leads to the house has a small bend that curves around to the back. Following it takes you to a hot springs that seems to pour from a cliff that corners off the backyard. It seems to flow out of the Grove. This is the home of Lava Tide, its one of the more unique terrains of the Grove. The waters are magic in the fact that they never scald anyone within them and they are safe for all water beings to breathe.

At the top of the cliff which the Springs pour from. Is a large cavern system. One of these caves is the home of Pyrus Gale. The resident Dragon. He actually surveys the entire Grove from here and is one of the few who know where its borders are. These caves also serve as a storage place for Pyrus' craft, it is from here that he will deliver his goods to those who order them.

The other corners of the yard are dark with thick shadows that seem to try to creep up on the cottage at all times. There are sounds and laughter that spill from them at odd times. Those who live in the cottage are able to leave freely, they may hold homes outside of the Grove. The Grove itself is more or less a place for them to retreat to.

Each pony that enters the Grove earns themselves a Title. Each title holds a singular word unique to the pony and a word that denotes a unifying trait. Typically the second word is linked to their job that they hold outside the Grove.

Ponies can range from incredibly tiny to massive. If we use comparisions to the show (by taking the 8-foot candy cane shown in one episode and how the ponies sized up beside it), foals are typically 2-3 feet, while adults range from 4-8 feet (on average), which puts those 4-5 feet at pony height, and 6-8 feet at horse height. Alicorns are unique and up to owner choice, but should be no bigger than 10 feet. You can make them as small as a normal pony, though!

As for the breeds, I can run down and edit in typical heights. Keep in mind your ponies are up to you and this is only standard breed lore;
- Earths, Dragons, Changelings, and Ghoulies often are on the larger scale of things (6-8 feet)
- Unicorns, Pixies, Suli,, Pegasus, and Bats are often on the smaller side (4-5 feet)
- Aquatics and Alicorn's range and have no set idea on typical height
You CAN have an adult who is 3 feet, altho that'd be considered v smol as a notice.
