This castle is the capitol building of the Land of Iron and houses the Shogunate. It is thought to be one of the most impressively fortified buildings in the world. All matters of governance of the Land of Iron take place in this massive structure. The Shogun, also known as the clan head in charge, sits in the middle of the main chamber while holding court. The Iron Castle is nestled in the center of Zaishin City and the beating heart of the once hermit kingdom.
The current head clan is the Raiu clan. Therefore, the current head of the Samurai, who holds the title of Shogun, is Seizo Raiu.

The door to the Shogun's office opened as Seizo stepped forward. As the head of Zaishin, the office was his and his alone. The other clan heads were dealing with whatever issues that they had, as trying to install peace in this chaotic time required all of the heads to perform double duty. As a consequence, however, the villages defenses were naturally lighter, as a great deal of the military had to be within the city's walls to ensure order remains in tact. It was for this reason that Seizo needed some of the more talented Samurai to show themselves. He sent out personal letters for those he knew of such as his own daughter, but if anyone else wanted to assist then it would behoove him to accept the aid.

A few minutes later, the heir to the Branch Family of the Raiu clan would push open the doors, stepping inside. Ishikura would give him a deep bow and spoke up. "I am here as you requested, sir. How may I be of service?" He would lift his head, and stand at attention. His pale-gold eyes fixated on his Clan Head.

Tatsuko's new, rather elegant and somewhat fitting attire hugged her snugly as she moved with a new found grace across the court yard towards the castle. She had been gone for several years, ever since the death of her mother. She had had such a short lived time as a girl of nobility and now had to accept the mantle placed before her. Shogunite's daughter. She was the princess of Zaishin. She had spent her time away at a remote temple that her father had arranged to conduct a grueling training regiment within. For months she had the sword arts of both her heritages beaten into her head. Then came the sword arts of the land. She had learned every single sword art for the katana she could, even learned to dual wield using Kazekiri Style. On days of rest she was taught mediation and learned to master her body without weapons. While her hand was unpracticed in slaying lives, she'd built the skills to do so with elegant efficiency.
The young woman pushed through the palace guards who crowded the front gates. " Excuse me, I have urgent business with father." her voice was smooth and calming. She had found a bit of peace in her solace within the mountain retreat. Those who knew her before making the trek would find that beneath her formalities and duty, she was the same friendly, kind girl she had been, simply wearing her damage differently than most.
She moved down the corridors, eyes focused forward yet void of emotion as she lost herself in memories that seemed to echo and play like reels of film as she moved, viewing fragments of her past with her mother. Her eyes broke of the tranquility as sadness momentarily passed over her, then buried by the focus she had learned. The door was ajar. Her father, the Shogunite stood on the other side no doubt. The letter smelled of his scent and bore his skilled calligraphy marks.
A light rapping at the door would signal her entry, bowing as she entered his domain. She would have noticed Ishikura aside her by now, asking for the Shogunite's command. Tatsuko chimed in politely after Ishikura finished his question. " Lord Raiu, I left the temple and made my way here as you commanded, please let my sword bring honor upon our family once again." She clearly meant both families, including the Seiryu. Well, to her that was what she meant. While she was and always would remain viciously loyal to the Shogunite, disowning her own flesh and blood would not set well with the girl. To her father, he may pick up the subtle hint, but could easily perceive the words to be directed at the prestigious Raiu Clan.

A letter came earlier that day, a summons by the current shogunate. Peculiar, Jinrai thought. It came from a messenger employed by the Raiu family, the current clan in charge of the capital. He was alone in his study as he went over the different scrolls at his disposal, recounting the events happening in the lands beyond their borders. He scrawled notes of his with calligraphy, taking note of importance to key figures. Some time ago a few samurai sent off to make first contact to Konoha on the yokai dealings. Jinrai just liked his records, he liked being informed and on top of things for his own knowledge.
It must've been also sent to his twin sister as well, the same letter or something very similar. It was a peculiar position to be in, sharing the potential of heir with a sibling and knowing only one will secure that title. Jinrai read Seizo's letter, noting the personalization went into the script and message that requested his aid. Quietly, he made the choice to accept it and made his way to the castle.
He wore just the basic attire that he always had, a kimono with metal armor secured to his arms and legs. There was an air of modesty to him, he strode through the castle halls humbly and was greeted by the guards. He refused the escort by the Seinaru, preferring to be alone for the meeting. Two others were already present when he approached and he snapped his fingers, giving sound and presence upon his arrival.
"I have received word," he would say with a casual stride, standing off away from the other two present and gave a bow. Nonchalant as he was, respect was still given. "A pleasant day to meet with you my Lord, I ask of you all to excuse my tardiness. You sent for me?" Jinrai turned his gaze to the other two, a nod of acknowledgement but in silence.
Interrupting a nice quite day of polishing her sword and armor was usually met with a some light hearted jesting and teasing to the messenger from Yoko. She wasn't exactly the kind to stand on formalities with people and every one knew it. However the message that had arrived had cut the fun short. Simply receiving a letter from the Shogun himself was enough to set Yoko's nerves on edge. In fact she made such a rush to leave that Yoko completely forgot to change into something a little more appropriate for appearing in front of the Shogun. Her pale blonde hair was pulled back into a tight bun with a deep red cloth and a black ribbon covering the bun itself. Her clothes were simple consisting of a long sleeved tunic shirt and a pair of deep red leather leggings. A pair of simple sandals were the only thing covering her feet. Her armor was still sitting on it's stand awaiting some routine patience that she had been about to start when the letter had arrived.
Though her stance of how people should be equal, Yoko knew that some things just didn't change and was there for a reason. Namely the Shogun. He was the leader and she wasn't about to disregard a letter from him like it was nothing. So off she went to the castle, wondering if Jinrai, her brother, had also gotten a letter. She was almost positive that he had. The moments when one of them was asked to do something separately that didn't evolve their studies was a rare thing. As twins there were much they shared together. The most important and the strangest was both had a claim to become the sole heir of their clan. It was a interesting situation to the say the least at least in Yoko's mismatched eyes it was.
As she arrived at the castle Yoko gave a quick bow to the guards and politely refused an escort to the office. She gave a friendly wave as she walked on by. To any one else it may have seemed that she was simply in a rush to answer the letter. To any one who knew her however, could probably tell Yoko was just attempting to beat Jinrai to the office. Arriving at the office Yoko not only saw that there were in fact two others who had gotten there before herself, but Jinrai had also gotten there as well. A visible pout briefly flew across her face as she stood in the door way. It was only a moment before she recollected herself, walked up to the side of her brother and bowed to the rest in the room.
"I apologize for being late, sir." she said addressing the Shogun first before standing back up right and looking at the rest in the room. She gave a friendly wave and smile to them before clasping both her hands behind her back and returning her attention to the Shogun.
Seizo was surprised to see the off branch child of the Raiu clan arrived. As a distant nephew he did not have much interaction with the boy. Especially given all of the politics which have entailed within the leading rights of the Raiu clan. It was for that reason that he was glad when Tatsuko followed swiftly after. The man looked at his daughter as traces of her mother's beauty have been cemented into her age. She looked like a proper woman, which relieved him. As she was the heir to the throne, it would be dangerous if she still looked like the child he saw when he sent her away for training.
It was in the midst of his thoughts that the Enjo twins arrived, the boy before the girl. Both apologized for their tardiness, and with a wave of his hand he dismissed the notions. "I didn't call on you for apologies. And I expect all of you to do what is necessary for this country." He said sternly. Seizo then pulled out a scroll and rolled it out on the war table in front of him. With a touch of his finger the chakra sprung to life, and a visual of the country side was unveiled. Given the geography, it was clear that this was the space between the country of Zaishin and the mountain range which protected it from ninja kind. "There's yokai troubles along the border of Yamatoge. The people believe it's the Oni again, but the damages reported do not seem to be that of their kind." He said as with another touch a detailed display of the mutilated Samurai and innocent villager bodies came on display. The villagers showed signs of gashes and lighter bruising. The samurai showed detailed attacks around their armor. Neither of these were common with Oni fighting styles, which were usually brutish and haphazard. "With forces spread out as they are, it falls on the royals to maintain the protection for our people. I expect this finished and done within three days." Seizo gave one last look to Tatsuko before he looked at the group as a whole. "You are dismissed." He stated formally, despite hating formalities.

Tatsuko would wonder why everyone thought they were late. The one in the room did not declare themselves late. She certainly did not declare herself late. The siblings however did. Did this mean they knew her? Was her presence the standard? She couldn't stand formalities like this. She hoped it not the case. More people referring to her as the Iron Princess was not what she wanted her welcoming to be. She bowed as her father concluded his intended task for the group. He dismissed them, just as he always would other noblemen. " Yes, Lord Shogun." She replied with meloncoly as she waited for the others to exit the room. Once they had, she would turn her head up. " Is there something you desired, sir? I could not help but notice the intent in your eyes as you spoke." She could easily tell her father had more to say when he was commanding them. Perhaps to reiterate the importance of this mission. To ensure she would not fail. Reassuring her? Bahaha. She'd almost giggle at the thought of that last notion.

Ishikura would stand firm, listening to his orders, when he was dismissed he didn't move. He had his own business with his Clan Head, that and an inner fire burned. The way Seizo looked him over, it threw gas onto that fire. Before Tatusko spoke up, he'd relay the information he had been given by those who worked beneath him. "My Lord, I wish to let you know, a young Seiryu has escaped our Borders. I wish to send word to our Samurai in the Land of Fire to retrieve him. I will head to our Border and deal with the Yokai," 'Kura locked eyes with his leader, fire burning behind that pale yellow. When he stood, he turned his back. "when the boy has been retrieved, he will be suitably punished. If he attempts another escape, I'll gut him myself." If there's anything he didn't like more than the head of his clan, it was the Seiryu.

Jinrai Seinaru
Three days. He was amused by the expectation of a timely matter by their lord. The mention of oni made him a bit weary and Jinrai stroked his chin for a moment. Quick and to the point, apologies were just shaken off like a flea which was an amusing thought. Good. Jinrai tired of formalities, they were just simply tiring to keep up with.
With the view of the countryside visible, it was a bit more advanced than the charts and scrolls he was used to growing up. Hayato taught him how to read geography... this displayed things more accurate than any map. Jinrai would be seen with a parchment as he took note of the key details shown, Yamatoge and its surrounding border along with the reference to Oni. He took more detailed look at the bodies when the chakra display shifted, the anatomy wasn't his strong suit and instead he only noted the severity of the damages.
"Yoko, you're a doctor. You think you can keep us from being like that?" Jinrai spoke up to his sister as he folded the parchment, pocketing it in the folds of his robe and glanced at her with a gesture to the bodies. He was half heartedly joking. It was then the younger Raiu member, 'Kura(?), spoke on the disappearance of another. Fire in his voice, like one to prove themself to their liege. Jinrai could respect it even.
"Well, mi'lady." Jinrai gestured to Tatsuko with a flair of his hand. "I'll follow your lead on this matter."
Quietly Yoko listened to the Shogun intently. As the map of Zaishin literally sprang to life Yoko looked at it with a hint of wonder in her face. She was always amazed to see what chakra do outside of the more common practices. Not to be blinded by the spectacle though, Yoko quickly returned her attention to the Shogun. It seemed that some one or some thing had been causing damage to the locals. The Shogun moved back to the map, barely touching it and changing it's shape entirely. The map shifted into the body of a samurai and a few villagers. As someone who was trained in the medical field Yoko leaned forward, not caring if it was inappropriate to do so or not. She wanted a closer look at the injuries. She frowned with a quiet "...hmm..." escaping her. She had seen the damage a sword could do first hand to the armor that samurai would don. For something so sturdy to have been rendered practically useless it wasn't a shock to her that the villagers had stood no chance either. Though the injuries didn't exactly look like a sword had been used. It was hard to tell from the samurai as the armor was in the way, but Yoko could see the villagers had bruising in places. She leaned back to stand up right once again. As she did so she put her left hand to her chin, resting her right hand on her left arm with a look of concentration on her face. Her mind was racing trying to think of what could possibly have such trauma. Numerous things came to mind, but without further evidence there was no way she could make a even a small guess.
She looked at Jinrai as he, hopefully, joked if she could keep them from looking as such. "Why dear brother, I won't need to. Who or whatever did this certainty won't get past my defenses to harm your pretty head." she said with a smirk and added. "Do at least try to keep yourself from getting harmed though. It'd be no fun if we couldn't compete anymore." giving a friendly pat on the shoulder before returning her gaze to the bodies before her.
Yoko didn't really know how she felt about the Yokai. All she knew of Yokai were of stories like this, brought from battles in far places that she could never get to on her own. In one way she was excited that she could possibly get a chance to see a yokai and maybe even speak to one. On the other hand, whoever or whatever killed the people before probably wasn't in the mood for a chat. Her first priority would be to see to the safety of the villagers though. Her worrying thoughts were cut short by the other guy in the room. Mismatched eyes went straight to him. Yoko didn't know much about him personally and refused to judge people on looks or status, so him being a Raiu didn't bother her in the slightest. He began with properly addressing the Shogun, which Yoko will admit to letting go in one ear and out the other, before he mentioned something about an escapee. Afterwards he spun around declaring that he would gut the person personally. Yoko's jaw would've dropped if she hadn't had a hand already pressed against it. Seiryu or not Yoko couldn't simply stand by and let such a comment slide. It went against her studies as a medic at the very least.
She opened her mouth to yell after him, but caught her tongue as she remembered who else was in the room. She turned and bowed to the Shogun, muttering a "Yes, sir." quickly. Looking at Jinrai she noticed him waiting on Tatsuko. "I'll be going ahead." she stated to her brother. With that, Yoko walked quickly to the door. As soon as she was past the door way Yoko all but sprinted after the Raiu loudly asking him to wait a moment.

'Kura was leaving the office, he would have a servant pick up what documents he needed for their Assignment. For now it was time for him to bid farewell to the group he would soon be working with. His thoughts drifted to the emissary he had sent off this morning, to warn their comrades in the Land of Fire. In truth, the runaway was but a child, he wouldn't harm the boy, lest he attack his own countrymen. But one must put on an act to garner the respect of a leader, and those around them. He was deep in his thoughts, and down the hall when those heavy footsteps jarred him back to reality. He stopped, then Yoko's voice led him to c**k his head back.
"Can I help you?" Ishikura's pale, yellow eyes, pierced through her. In truth he did not recognize her and he barely registered her as even being in the office. He turned a bit, hand on his hip.

"Wait!" Yoko said loud enough to catch the tall Raiu's attention. Thankfully she caught up to him in time. As she stood there next to him, with no one between them Yoko could finally appreciate the height difference between the two of them. He was nearly a full foot taller than herself, so she had quite literally look up to him. Now that she was in front of him, someone she had been told to work with at least for now, it was probably best not to start off by scolding him on gutting people. Looking him right in the eyes she completely ignored the stern look on his face, Yoko spoke up. "Have you ever come across a yokai?" She asked. She was not above asking for help and any information could be helpful. It was one of many questions that Yoko had. having only heard the stories she was hoping one of the others may have been involved with one somehow. And perhaps it could lead to some answers she had about the injuries they had been shown.

Ishikura would stare down, focusing on the lady's eyes. Noting the Heterochromia, a part of him felt a bit relieved to know there was someone else with abnormal eyes. In a bit of an anomaly to his usual behavior, he says. "You have interesting eyes." There was a bit of feeling behind it, he only hoped she didn't think of it as a flirt. Then the Raiu would answer her question. "I have fought them. They aren't to be underestimated, they come in many forms. The stories from your childhood aren't to be disbelieved. From the demonic to the spectral. Most die like any man. Some are ethereal, but most are solid. They even have their own chakra systems." 'Kura knew that from his doujutsu. He'd keep that to himself though, if she inquired more about that.

Yoko blinked in mild confusion. She was used to people pointing out her eyes, but complementing on them was an uncommon occurrence. Or at least not saying anything rude about them was a nice change of pace. "Oh...thank you." she said, tilting her head just a tad. It was a strange feeling but it did make her sort of happy to hear that. Repeating the stand she had taken to examine the bodies they had been shown, Yoko took a look of someone deep in thought. Yokai could be both ethereal, but also solid? Well that aligned with stories she had been told by people in the Clinc. However, that didn't answer any question concerning the injuries she had seen before. It meant that a Yokai could be responsible for every one of the injuries if they could be any shape. "...hmm..." she got quite for a moment, making a soft hum sound before looking back up at the tall man. He had fought yokai before. It made her slightly jealous that he had such the opportunity growing up. Her childhood had been more sheltered than she realized. "What did you make of it?" she asked, truly wondering what his view of the whole situation.
