A single Raiu clanswoman stood between a massive yokai army and the citizens of Zaishin protecting Hono temple. Kaminari's gaze level on the large group of demons, unfazed by their numbers. Their pause in their advance upon her arrival did give her some time to recollect herself from the frustration that spurred this somewhat reckless action, however Kaminari was determined to protect her people by any means necessary. The single tengu that hovered above the army ordered them to continue their offense, clearly upset with their reaction to Kaminari's arrival. If this tengu was the individual leading this army, then they were the primary target. It was getting to them, that would be the tricky part. Not only was the leader hovering in the air, but hundreds of yokai stood between them and Kaminari.
The army charged forward as they were ordered to, the young Samurai standing her ground, unyielding. Before she could draw her sword upon the closest demon in her reach, an arrow pierced its head right between the eyes. The sound of a volley of arrows sailing through the air followed, taking the down those at the front of the charge as they were pelted by the falling projectiles. Upon inspecting the arrows from her stance, their stone-like composition and the immediate effectiveness they had on the demons by burning them, could only be created by a very specific group of people. A Hogosha? Kaminari turned to look behind her, catching sight of a young boy wielding a bow. The members of this clan were a rare sight to see, given their isolationist nature. It was her first time ever seeing one of their kind, though of what she had heard, their incredible genetics allowed them to appear far younger than their age would reveal. The samurai gave the boy a nod of acknowledgement, returning her attention to the demons ahead.
With some backup, the young samurai was a little less worried about any further harm coming to the citizens and holy people behind them. Kaminari hadn't thought much about the situation she leapt into until now, realizing that she wouldn't be able to forgive herself if something happened to any of them should she fall here. Their lives were on the line, and the demons were hellbent on ensuring their demise. They had done enough harm to the city and its people to warrant the consequences they were about to receive, and it was at this moment that the Tengu leading the army would learn that Kaminari wasn't just a Samurai...
A rattling hiss filled with hostility would cause the next wave of demons advancing towards Kaminari to halt in their tracks, their attacks disrupted by an overwhelming feeling of fear. A trademark skill possessed by those who specialized in slaying monsters, it'd announce to the demon army that this lonely samurai would still be a force to be reckoned with. A powerful aura of electrical currents crackled around the young Samurai while her hand remained on her blade, suddenly vanishing from her position in a powerful spark of lightning. A trail of heads were severed up into the middle of the army where she reappeared, a sphere of electrical energy exploding from her body sending demons in its range flying away from her. Her sword sheathed, it was drawn once again as the demons started to close in on her. Fluid movement and quick footwork stumbled her enemies, blade dancing between offensive and defensive maneuvers in circular patterns to combat the sheer number of opposition against her. Offensive strikes were meticulously aimed at vital points varying on the demon which it made contact with, ending their lives swiftly. It was the least brutal way of dispatching them. The speed at which she moved was staggering, considering the heavy armor she wore as a layer of protection for her body, it didn't appear to hinder her movements in the slightest. Even with limited space to fully swing her weapon, Kaminari was able to generate considerable force with a double-handed grip on a single blade through the torqueing of her hips and constant movement.
The blade of the Katana clashed with claws, clubs, and swords with parries or an overwhelming force that caused any opposition to bump into their own allies. Years of studying these demons provided her some insight to their attacks, allowing Kaminari to avoid most assaults when she was on the defensive. If all else failed, her armor provided ample protection for anything that may have slipped through her tsunami-like defense. Single-handedly wielding her katana in these moments, her blade spun around her body in a flourish, deflecting attacks from behind and their sides. Circular movement in the form of dashes and steps took over in her loose stance, while her body twisted and turned to avoid incoming attacks. Kaminari weaved in and out of the enemies that surrounded her, which made tracking her among the crowd more difficult. Yokai strikes were hitting their own instead of the samurai, if some of the attacks hadn't failed altogether due to them tripping over themselves. The fluid movement of this single samurai was causing a major disruption for the immediate individuals surrounding Kaminari in the crowd of the army, amidst the rain of arrows that fell from above. While combating the massive number of demons and dodging stray arrows, Kaminari was inching herself closer and closer to the supposed leader of the army. She could feel her muscles starting to strain under the constant movement and clashing as their numbers started to overwhelm her, though she kept her bladework tight and deliberate. She was in the thick of it now, and would be completely on her own if not for the aid of the Hogosha. It was likely that any other demons that weren't immediately dealing with the young Raiu clanswomen, returned their efforts to destroying the temple grounds and the individuals that stood to protect it.
The moment she received breathing room, Kaminari's hands extended outward, taking control of numerous Hogosha arrows that littered the battlefield within her range. These arrows spun menacingly as singular units, and as an entire group, surrounded the samurai's body rapidly rotating around it. With these projectiles creating a shield of shredding and burning force around her, it made it increasingly difficult for any advancing demons to come near her without dealing with the shield of arrows first. Kaminari bulldozed her way through the army, shredding those who came in contact with the purifying properties of the projectiles, while keeping many of them at bay once they were aware of the threat which these specific projectiles poised upon their kind. With her current position being directly under the Tengu leading the army, if they hadn't moved, Kaminari slammed a smoke bomb on the ground beneath her, releasing a large plume of smoke that covered a total area of twenty feet, shrouding her and many of the demons in the smoke.
Through the smoke, cries of anguish coming from the demons that had their vision hampered could be heard as they were struck down. Any that remained were pierced by the arrows under Kaminari's control as they were released outwards as if being fired from a bow at close range, expelling from every side of her, including upward. A few of the arrows soared in the leading demon's direction, though it was highly likely that these would be easy to defend against. Kaminari, on the other hand, shot out from the smoke, expelling herself upward with a propulsion of chakra from her feet. She'd attack from the Tengu's flank with sword in hand, striking with a downwards vertical strike as she descended upon him, to cleave him in two. Even with all she had done, the vast numbers of the demons were still way too many. Her only hope was to take out the ringleader in order to reduce the army's morale.
Should the tengu choose to look the samurai in their eyes, they'd reflect the same hatred that fueled his own and the army's motives to destroy Zaishin. Except, she was here to protect it, even if that meant becoming like the monsters who threatened it.
"What?!" The Tengu shouted as the volley of arrows fell upon his advancing army dispatching them. His teeth grinding as he looked towards the source of the arrows. Filthy Hogosha, those were the WORST of the filthy samurai scum that plagued his species. Seemingly not thinking that any of them would have the time to show up yet. He had hoped that he would get the opportunity to take out a chunk of Zaishin while they weren't completely unified. Why wasn't this kid out dealing with the rest of the chaos going on in Zaishin. However he wouldn't even have the time to dwell on this single mistake he had made. A miscalculation on his part, that would need to be dealt with later. A sickening feeling filling the pit of his stomach, eyes wide as he turned and looked towards the woman who had arrived at the his army. Like an aura of fear that made him sick, made him want to run away. Of course he wouldn't do such a thing, he knew what that was all too well. However...he was unsure of what that meant for his army. Actually, he knew exactly what that meant for his army. His anger growing as he realized that his army was all too quickly...being dispatched by this single samurai. "Disgusting grunts, how can you all not deal with this singular samurai!?" He shouted in anger and yet stayed above his army for the moment.
This woman was like a whirlwind of destruction that he had to annoyingly deal with. His army was useless. Even more useless was that anyone that wasn't being dispatched by the woman was being dispatched by the arrow using Hogosha firing arrows made specifically to deal with Yokai. It was frustrating, this entire situation was frustrating. The man was reaching his boiling point. Then the figure of his anger and despair disappeared into a ball of smoke. The sounds of agonizing screams coming from the shrouded area beneath him. Arrows flying from the puff of smoke in his and all directions. The Tengu would swing his staff in order to smack away the arrows. Of course he wouldn't touch them....but as he did that within that moment of protecting himself from the arrows the woman had propelled herself from the smoke. Coming at him quickly, much too quickly. The woman's blade clearly was intended to slice through the tengu. How was she even behind him in the first place? She came from below him, the arrows came first. It was light fighting lightning dashing around the battlefield. With no time to use his staff to defend his option was instead something he hated the idea of and that he would end up needing to deal with at a much later time. His wings moving in such a way to protect him, using chakra to harden them as the blade made contact with him.
The force of the swing, although it didn't manage to slice the tengu clean in half as intended, would send him crashing to the ground beneath them like a meteor. Perhaps this would be confusing to the woman who had attacked the Tengu, however she would also be able to see something else. Two halves of the black wings that the Tengu had upon his back falling slowly from the air to the ground. She might not have killed him, however she definitely did some damage to him, even stopping his method of remaining safe. At the ground though the Tengu stood. Face red with anger, blood dripping from what was left of his wings. "You, b***h." He said. A sickly and dark aura surrounding him rising from his body. His skin actually becoming a shade of red, the dripping blood from his wings looking almost as if it were boiling. "I'm going to tear you limb from limb and make you watch as I destroy everything you're fighting to protect." It was like all the anger that he had towards Zaishin currently was being directed upon the woman who had just mutilated his wings.
Not much longer after his declaration the man would find himself soaring towards the woman. Not flying, but simply pushing himself off the ground with enough strength that he might as well have been flying in the first place. Why did he even need wings? As he soared towards the woman still in the air hand balled into a first, soon the sky filled with more.....more of him. Thousands of him. All of them throwing themselves as the woman. While the man himself, the true man still proceeded forth. Sure the clones attack was meant to be a distraction but he cared not for the mischievousness of hiding within them as a tactic. He wanted to get to this woman as soon as possible...and punch her so hard that her ancestors would feel her pain.
All the while his army still seemed to be held at bay by the Hogosha and other less strong defender. However the Tengu seemed to care little for that anymore.
Techniques and Other Effects -Opening Third Gate of Life ▰ 1000 Clone Barrage | Rank S+ | Complex The user creates a thousand clones that fill the sky. These clones throw each other at the user on the battlefield at rapid speeds; by the battlefield-filling nature of this technique, evasive jutsu is ineffective. This jutsu requires defensive or offensive jutsu to stop it. If these clones are substituted for a clone type that can inflict a status effect in any circumstance, this status effect is inflicted at one tier higher, up to four. ▰ One Shot, One Kill | Rank S+ | Simple The user moves at blinding speeds to those who have a 3 point difference in their agility to the user's speed. Appearing as little more than a blur to those with a lesser gap. Then, the user delivers a single punch with the intent to completely obliterate a target from existence, leaving no trace of them. The user's punch causes the target's agility and speed to become a negative number of whatever modifier they had prior to the use of this technique for the remainder of combat. Upon impact, the user's punch releases a shock wave of terrifying force that carves a twenty foot wide trench for one hundred feet before the user. Anyone caught in the concussive force is carried to the furthest reach of the attack and suffers tier 3 paralysis and tier four trauma
▱▰▱Akaran ran out of the Eien Hono Temple and charged toward the group of yokai who were marching toward the temple. Hogosha were using salt to erect barriers and keep them out. Akaran had a feeling that these barriers would break at some point. This was all highly distressing. He felt as though he failed his duty as the ambassador to let this all get to this point. Yokai and samurai spilling each other's blood in the streets of Zaishin again. Akaran could not bear the thought and he only hoped that he could stop this before it got any further. Akaran was naturally fast but he picked it up even further as he soared between Kaminari, who he met earlier, and the winged yokai attacking her. He turned his head slightly to the Raiu clanswoman and winked as he extended his arms. His chakra solidified his bones further, making them harder than steel. A plate of bone formed which blocked the One Shot, One Kill punch. Akaran could feel the force of the punch even through his strong shield. The force even seemed to rupture the air around him and Kaminari as he protected her. "Not just a single samurai anymore." Akaran responded to what the yokai was shouting outside the temple earlier about the yokai being unable to stand against only Kaminari Raiu. Spiked bones then extended from Akaran's body and his bone plate shield. They were extending out in order to stab into the Tengu but truly Akaran's intention was to get him to back away. The sharp bone spears expanded out in all directions as the shield protected him and Kaminari to protect against incoming clones or perhaps even more yokai. "Just turn around now! There can still be peace between our peoples!" Akaran shouted with powerful conviction toward the tengu and the hoard of yokai who were attempting to invade the temple behind him. On some level, even the dim-witted Akaran knew that it would be pointless, but he needed to try.

Class Information First Class: Taijutsu ▱▰▱ Berserker → Your external training and devotion to taijutsu has allowed you to have a [+1] stat increases to Strength and Endurance. Once depleted, any damage the user takes, no matter the rank of damage applied increases the user's strength and speed by 1 stat point each for two posts up to 9 points. Should the user take additional damage before the end of the second post, the increase stacks, refreshing it's active time. Sake used by the Oni remove or restore chakra from the target two ranks below the rank brewed for poisonous or medicinal brews respectively. The blade struck true with a collision of resounding steel, sending the Tengu faction leader plummeting to the ground. Kaminari followed closely behind, landing on her feet as the clipped portions of the Tengu's wings fell behind her. A single flick of her wrist would rid the blade of any blood that stained it before being sheathed back on her hip. Through the dust and debris that picked up from the demon's fall, Kaminari could see that they were still standing as it all started to settle, seething with rage. It was like all of their hatred was manifesting through them physically: the tint of their skin turning a dark red and an aura of vile, powerful energy surrounding them. She was only a few feet from him, but could still feel the force from the sudden output of strange power. Kaminari wasn't sure if it was this or the demon's threat that sent a chill down her spine.
Just as the Tengu dashed forward, Kaminari found herself hesitating. A vision came to her in a flash of being in a similar situation not too long ago, except it felt like she was reliving the entire scenario all over again in those brief moments. The paralyzing fear that took over her body when she encountered a powerful oni with her brother Inazuma at her side. Its presence bringing forth tears to her eyes that she dare not shed in fear of drawing the massive demon's attention immediately. Her hand was on the hilt of her blade, knuckles white. Inazuma called to her, but his voice sounded so very far away. It was because of her inability to act that Inazuma's life was taken from them both. There was no turning back time, no matter how much the regret weighed down on her. I wasn't strong enough... At the time, she believed she was as strong as Inazuma, fulfilling her childhood dream of being able to fight by his side as powerful samurai of their village. To finally be recognized by her master who had little faith in her from the start. Only to face the reality of it all in the most brutal way.
"Not just a single samurai anymore."
A voice pulled her back into reality. For a moment, she thought it was Inazuma, coming to save her again. Though the blur of crimson that now stood between her and the advancing tengu would say otherwise. Kaminari's mouth flapped open, yet found herself at a loss for words at Akaran's arrival. The Yokai Ambassador she formerly met just moments ago, defending her from the Tengu's attack with the protrusion of bones from his body. Though untouched, the force she felt alone gave her insight to the immediate death Kaminari would have faced if not for Akaran's protection. While she was grateful, the young Samurai could not ignore the welling pit of shame and grief that graced her stomach at this very moment. She had faltered at the worst possible time and nearly lost her life for it.
Like a true ambassador, Akaran tried handling the situation with diplomacy. Kaminari could tell that the yokai truly wanted peace between the yokai and humans, though the young Samurai felt it was far too late for that. The Tengu made their intentions very clear, and as a slayer of yokai it was her duty to prevent them from coming to fruition. She continued to stand behind his protection, ready to defend Akaran should he need it. However, Akaran's presence along with her recent vision was starting to cause a rift in her state of mind. She wasn't completely focused, fighting her own fears of having now put Akaran's life at risk, and the doubt of being capable of taking on this demon. Was she just in the way at this point?
[HIs attack was quickly intercepted by a blur of red that seemed to appear from almost no where. Stopped and practically growling where he stood. "Akaran" The aggressive growling of the Tengu made it clear he was not happy with the appearance of this particular person. Of course, it wasn't like the Tengu knew Akaran personally, but as of recently the man was deemed the Yokai Ambassador, something a lot of yokai hadn't particularly been happy about. Although it seemed with Akaran's arrival most of the fighting stopped. Even the flurry of arrows backing up Kaminari had changed in their purpose. A portion of the Yokai had stopped and looked towards the fairly open area where Kaminari, Akaran, and their commander stood. Those who attempted to continue their battle with those defending their city were quickly routed away from others by the arrows. Even those on the side of Zaishin routed off by the threat of arrows being fired at them. Bringing a bit into question exactly what the archer's reasonings for his actions were exactly. However, the few that knew this particular archer knew that he was always one to merely support from the background and allow others to solve things on their own for the most part.
Meanwhile, Akaran's words only served to anger the Tengu even more. Even so, for the moment he was not attacking. Perhaps a mere sign of respect for a fellow Yokai, as his expression and demeanor clearly showed he had no real intention of backing down. "Peace is a fantasy." The man stated angrily. "Something you and anyone else on your side tricked yourselves into believing. The people of Zaishin have killed our people, our families, my family. You wish for us to pretend none of that happened? The people of Zaishin likely think the same. Your peace can never happen, it will never happen." The yokai shouted, his voice virtually resonating through the winds. "I do not wish to hurt you, even if you are just a traitor to your people. However if you choose to stand in my way still I will tear through you the same way I will tear through the woman behind you....the same way I will tear through Zaishin...even if I have to kill myself trying."

▱▰▱Based on Akaran's previous work as yokai ambassador, he was well-trained in handling these situations. There were many old wounds and grudges that needed to be healed. The fact that the Tengu was no longer attacking him was at least some sign of progress, however. Akaran held his hands up as a gesture of peace as he carefully listened to the tengu's angry words. "I'm sorry about your family." There was sorrow in Akaran's eyes as he meant what he said. He could not imagine the pain that the tengu was going through. "Who were they? What were their names?" It seemed off-topic but Akaran asked with complete sincerity. "I just don't want them to be for-got-ten. It's easy to forget the cost of war." The oni's voice was soft as he imagined what the individual tengu in the commander's family may have looked like. He imagined that his mother looked like his own and became even more emotional and able to empathize. "I'm the yo-kai am-ba-ssa-dor for Zaishin. But that doesn't mean I have it easy. A group of sa-mu-rai tried to lynch me once. In front of my partner, A-ki-hi-ko. I've been in your place many times." He was grateful that his status in Zaishin was changing but it was still difficult for him to move past the pain, just as it was for the Tengu before him. "You can call me a traitor if you want. But I've been helping my clan in the Fire Mountain. I was born there, but raised in Zai-shin. My father was a samurai. Do you hate me for that?" Akaran asked like it was a real question. He truly wanted to know the answer. He looked around the temple district to see the fear on the faces of his comrades in the samurai army and in the Hogosha clan. "Some sa-mu-rai hate me because my mother is oni. Some yo-kai hate me because my father was a sa-mu-rai. People on both sides think that I'm a traitor for the other side." Akaran explained his predicament to the yokai general, unsure of how he would react to the full explanation. In Akaran's mind, prejudice was stubborn and foolish. Yet, he could learn how to forgive it and heal. He looked at the ground shyly before looking back up at the winged figure. He put his wrists together and held them up to him. Technique Active: ▰ Dance of the Larch: Absolute Defense | Rank A | Stat Boosted to S+ | Complex This is a supplemental technique. The user first prepares themselves by channeling chakra throughout all of their bones. Then, when the user is struck with a tai or bukijutsu technique, the user is able to have a plate of bones first protect the area which was struck equal rank to the strike provided. Then, the user launches a counter attack, which converts the opponent’s strength stat which they used the technique into the speed of which the bone blades rise out of the user to impale the target. Can only be used up to the rank the user has access to. Cost one activation to block the strike, and another to launch the counter strike. If the user only has one activation left, then the block will occur, but not the counter attack. If the user has no activations left, then this ability does not work. At E-C rank the technique increases endurance by [1] and at B-S+ rank the technique increases endurance by [2]. This stance lasts for 6 posts. Class Information First Class: Taijutsu ▱▰▱ Berserker → Your external training and devotion to taijutsu has allowed you to have a [+1] stat increases to Strength and Endurance. Your hardened body naturally is as protective as Heavy Tier armor without its drawbacks. Degradation of the user's natural defenses applies in the same manner as armor. Once depleted, any damage the user takes, no matter the rank of damage applied increases the user's strength and speed by 1 stat point each for two posts up to 9 points. Should the user take additional damage before the end of the second post, the increase stacks, refreshing it's active time. Second Class: Taijutsu ▱▰▱ Brawler → Your taijutsu is just one side of your skill, as you are also versed in utilizing ninjutsu as well. Your Speed and Agility are enhanced by [+1] and you gain an additional [4] ninjutsu slots per rank. Once every other post all three of your activations in a post can be used for offensive taijutsu. Additionally, the user gains a keystone technique and two additional custom slots for taijutsu. Refer to the Keystone Guideline for more information. Third Class: Bloodline ▱▰▱ Dual Ancestry → Dual Ancestry allows you to have full access to two bloodlines upon creation including all techniques, abilities, and personal attributes associated with them. For biographical purposes, your secondary bloodline may be genetic or implanted at your discretion. This discipline gives you [4] bloodline PAs to be used only for the optional attributes of your dual bloodlines on top of the [2] personal attributes you receive at base for a total of [6]. If two elemental bloodlines are chosen then the primary bloodline's elemental affinities become your base elements and you gain full access to those elements while your secondary bloodline gives you locked elemental affinities that you cannot learn ninjutsu techniques from but you gain full access to the secondary bloodline. Locked elemental affinities can be unlocked through methods such as ninjutsu class or personal attributes. Elemental affinity personal attributes are automatically allotted to locked affinities. Jiongu users do not have access to Dual Ancestry nor can they be chosen as a secondary bloodline. Dual Ancestry users do not have access to the implant system including the Genetic Palette personal attribute. If you use multiple techniques from both of your bloodlines in the same post without Korabo then those techniques are increased in effectiveness by one rank. ▱▰▱ Dedicated Disciple → A disciple who chooses to specialize in a small number of their class's arts. Limiting themselves to three of their class's styles, granting overwhelming in all three styles up to S Rank. Any additional slots that would be awarded for their class's styles are converted into a 2 point increase in any stats of their choosing. In addition, these masters of their arts are able to have a 1 point increase in their stats cap of 8 making it 9. Personal Attributes ▱▰▱ Swordless Swordsman | As a fastidious student of Kyotoryuu, he is able to use small and medium blade bukijutsu styles through his "knife hands" causing them to act as taijutsu techniques in effect while consuming bukijutsu slots. ▱▰▱ Wandering Warrior | The Soko Sento and Kote Art styles can be used with an unarmored body. ▱▰▱ Unyielding Willow | Grants [2] stat points rather than [1] for the mastery of stages three and six of the Dance of the Meadow style for a total of [4] stat points. The Endurance stat cap of the Kaguya increases by [1] to a maximum of [9]. Finally, if half the resource cost of a bone armor technique is spent then it gains the attributes of armor and this does not cost a combat action. If the bone armor technique is E-Rank then it is considered very light armor, D-C rank for light armor, B-A rank for medium armor, and S-S+ rank for heavy armor. ▱▰▱ Martial Paragon | The favored fighting styles of the Kaguya are Taijutsu and Bukijutsu and, as a result, the Kaguya is able to start off with 2 additional taijutsu or bukijutsu styles. Finally, all complex Dance of the Meadow techniques are treated as spiritual in collision with other complex techniques. ▱▰▱ Curse Born | Forbidden Seals, including Curse of the Blood Orchid, owned by this rpc have an additional 100 corrupted nature chakra stored in their seal. This increases their cap from 400 to 500. Also, the Kaguya is able to recover faster from the drawbacks of forbidden seals following the deactivation of the seal making the stat reductions last for three posts rather than five. ▱▰▱ Mountain Clan | Oni are able to korabo suiton and sake techniques without the sake being reduced in strength. These can be korabo'd for one activation every two posts. In this circumstance, sake creation techniques are unnecessary but an augment needs to be paid for to korabo with the suiton technique. The Oni starts with [2] additional taijutsu styles upon creation. ▱▰▱ Clever Brew Master | The Oni receives two additional customs per body rank to produce new brew types. They are able to cast bloodline techniques through somatic movements. Their saketon pool is increased by 100. The Oni receives [1] point of strength and endurance at D-Rank and a second point of strength and endurance at B-Rank. ▱▰▱ Ogrelord | The Oni's saketon pool is increased by 200. Sake used by the Oni remove or restore chakra from the target two ranks below the rank brewed for poisonous or medicinal brews respectively. The Oni restores an additional 50 saketon per post passively. The Oni's stamina is increased by 200 and taijutsu techniques cost 10 stamina less at a minimum of 5. ▱▰▱ It's All Ogre Now | Akaran's oni heritage allows him to add an additional 100 chakra to his saketon reserves and cannot be increased beyond this.
