___The Hyūga Tale:
The Hyūga clan (日向一族, Hyūga Ichizoku) is one of the oldest and most powerful clans in Konohagakure. All members born into this family possess the Byakugan, a kekkei genkai that gives them extended fields of vision and the ability to see the chakra circulatory system amongst other things. The clan is separated into two parts, the main house (宗家, Sōke) and the branch house (分家, Bunke), a system that protects the secrets of the Byakugan from outsiders. The main house runs the family while the branch house protects it. The members of the branch house are branded with a cursed seal upon the next heir/heiress of the main house's third birthday. This seal gives the main house members absolute control over the branch members, because they can destroy the branch members' minds with a simple hand gesture, or cause them great pain to punish them. This seal also makes sure the secret of the Hyūga's Byakugan is safe, because it seals the Byakugan after the wearer of the seal dies. Because they are essentially servants, simply because of their birth order or heritage, some branch house members are hostile to those of the main house. Members of the clan are instructed in the use of the Gentle Fist style, which uses the Byakugan to view the opponent's Chakra Pathway System and deal precise blows to disable and impede the flow of chakra. Due to training in this style, Hyūga clan members tend to have excellent chakra control. This is emphasized in jutsu that utilize this chakra control, as well as the nuances of the Gentle Fist style. The clan's strongest techniques, like the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, are only allowed to be taught to members of the main house.

___Elaboration:
The Byakugan (白眼; Literally meaning "White Eye".) is the dōjutsu kekkei genkai of the Hyūga clan. It is one of the three great dōjutsu, along with the Sharingan and the Rinnegan. Those that inherit the blood of this clan have almost featureless white eyes (Neji's and Hinata's eyes seem to have tints of blue-grey and lavender, respectively). When the Byakugan is activated, the user's pupils become more distinct, and the veins near their temples bulge. It also appears that unlike the other two dōjutsu, all members of the clan possess and can use the kekkei genkai from birth, as opposed to needing to awaken it.The Byakugan's abilities have left it highly coveted by the other villages, as evidenced by Kumogakure's attempt to steal it during the Hyūga Affair. Ao of Kirigakure was able to obtain a Byakugan from an opponent he defeated, and goes to great lengths to protect it; at the same time, Danzō Shimura goes to equal lengths to retrieve or destroy it. Unlike transplanted Sharingan, Ao's Byakugan can be activated and deactivated at will. The first ability of the Byakugan gives the user a near 360º field of vision, except for one blind spot at the back of the neck above the third thoracic vertebra. The second ability is being able to see through solid objects, and can use a degree of telescopic sight. The distance and the degree of telescopic sight varies from person to person, and can be improved. The last ability was to be able to see the infrared spectrum allowing one (like Hinata) to detect things through their body heat. In Part I, Neji Hyūga was able to see an area of 50 meters, but later he increases his visual range to at least 800 meters, while Hinata Hyūga 's range in Part II stretches at least as far as 10 km. However, the Byakugan cannot see through certain barriers, such as the Four Black Fog Battle Formation used by the Sound Four. The third and one of the greatest uses of the Byakugan is the ability to see chakra, chakra flow as well as the chakra circulation system inside the body with great detail. It is from this particular ability that they are able to employ their ultimate attack style: Gentle Fist. Unlike the Strong Fist, which is focused on external injuries, the Gentle Fist style focuses on internal injuries. Each strike, when placed correctly, strikes along the chakra pathway system, which is the network of vessels that carry chakra. This network is closely intertwined with the functioning of the body's organs, and so, when the keirakukei take damage, the organs suffer as well. There is no defence against the Gentle Fist, since one cannot train one's internal organs to become stronger. The only possible defence is to stop the Gentle Fist's hits from connecting. Also, like the Sharingan and Rinnegan, the Byakugan's ability to see chakra and its flow allows the user to detect chakra sealed barriers. It was also shown in the anime that the Byakugan can also discern a transformation and a real person using the eye's ability to see chakra. Particularly skilled users of the Byakugan can take the Gentle Fist style one step further. Along the keirakurei are 361 pinprick-sized nodes called tenketsu, or chakra points. When struck, the Byakugan user can choose to either seal, or forcibly open these tenketsu, thus giving the user complete control over their opponent's chakra system. So, with precision, all those points along the victim's body can be sealed, stopping the chakra flow to those areas. Able to strike without force, and yet do more damage to a ninja than some of the most powerful ninjutsu, the Gentle Fist has been labeled as the greatest taijutsu style known in all of Konohagakure.

___Passive Traits:
• All Hyūga have featureless, or nearly featureless, white eyes.
• All Hyūga start without being able to activate their Byakugan due to story.
• All Hyūga gain a Taijutsu learning reduction of [1].
• All Hyūga gain a Maruton learning reduction of [1].
• Hyūga can learn Gentle Fist Taijutsu style without consuming stages.

___Restrictions:
• While Hyūga are not the only ones who may utilize the Gentle Fist, but they are the only ones able to use it to perfectly strike chakra points and drain chakra during the usage of it. See the style for more detail.
• The Byakugan only grants 359º vision. You have one critical blind spot.

___Byakugan Usage:
• The Byakugan requires a hand sign and [15] chakra to activate.
• The Byakugan is maintained active by an upkeep of five [5] Chakra or Stamina every post, though which energy pool is used to pay is up to the Hyūga themselves.

___Byakugan Abilities Overview:
• The Byakugan grants a radial third-person view.
• The Byakugan can see the exact workings of the chakra system.
• The Byakugan can see through solid objects not made of 5th Era Technology.
• The Byakugan is not effected by basic obscuring methods. ( Smoke pellets, fog, etc. )
• The Byakugan can magnify, zoom, & see within the infrared spectrum.
• Unlike a transplanted Sharingan, a transplanted Byakugan can be activated and deactivated at will, following the same rules as above for Byakugan use.

___Art Of The Gentle Fist:
The Gentle Fist style of combat is based on palm strikes and generally aims to damage the body's chakra pathway system, thus creating difficulty by inhibiting an opponent's use of chakra. To do this, the user will forcefully insert a small amount of their own chakra into an opponent's chakra pathway system. The chakra can then be used to rupture or divert chakra flow, preventing them from using jutsu. It was also commented by Neji Hyūga that any chakra-based substance can be destroyed by putting chakra in it with his Gentle Fist. Also, as noted by Kidōmaru, this is done by using the chakra openings in one's hands to reform chakra into a needle-like shape to cut through chakra. It is unknown if this can be done by any Gentle Fist user or just those who see the tenketsu. It can also be used to attack the opponent's internal organs, to which the chakra pathway system is closely tied. Even the slightest tap from this style can cause major damage, hence the name "gentle fist." Because the chakra pathway system is invisible, the Byakugan is required for this style to be used effectively. Since the Byakugan is unique to the Hyūga clan, it has become their signature style of combat. The ability to inflict severe internal trauma with minimal external force, combined with chakra network manipulation, makes the Gentle Fist the most reputable and fearsome taijutsu style known in all of Konohagakure. In contrast to this, the technique can also be used for supplementary purposes such as helping comrades on the battlefield. This was displayed by Hinata during the Fourth Shinobi World War when she used the technique to fix Naruto Uzumaki's dislocated shoulder joint.
• Chakra must be infused in each attack to deal damage of the corresponding amount. (If you use [5] chakra in your attack, it will drain [5] chakra from your opponent.)

Shōtei [ Palm Bottom ]
Official Description: This attack consists of a quick, precise thrust of the users' palm to an opponent's body. Like other Gentle Fist techniques, it sends chakra into the target to cause internal damage which will temporarily paralyze an opponent.

C-Rank Techniques
Hakke Kūshō [ Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm ]
This technique is similar in practice to Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven, but has a specific target rather than a general area. To perform it, the user precisely pinpoints the enemy's vital points with the Byakugan and releases a high-speed palm thrust. A "vacuum shell" compressed using the Gentle Fist is formed to attack the opponent's vitals from a distance, blowing them off their feet with tremendous force before they even notice they were hit.

Hakke Kūhekishō [ Eight Divination Signs Vacuum Wall Palm ]
Hakke Kuuhekishou is a Taijutsu technique unique to the Hyūga bloodline and is a tandem usage of Hakke Kuushou. The two Hyūga clan members will each perform Hakke Kuushou with their opposite palms while back to back (or a single person using two hands), to emit a wave of chakra towards their target. Requires Korabo training, but the end product is 2 ranks higher in ability rather than 1 if used in collaboration.

Jūkenpō Ichigekishin [ Gentle Fist Art One Blow Body ]
A technique born from their innate ability to expel chakra from every tenketsu on their body, a member of the Hyūga clan can hit their opponent with a blast of chakra that will send them flying away from the user. It was also shown that this technique can be used with pin-point accuracy to target the weak point of a technique exemplified when Neji Hyūga was trapped by Kisame Hoshigaki's Water Prison Technique, and was able to dispel it. Can disrupt Chakra structures.

Hakkeshō Kaiten [ Eight Trigrams: Heavenly Spin ]
A secret taijutsu that is orally handed down only within the main house of the Hyūga, this technique utilizes the chakra control gained through Gentle Fist training to release a huge amount of chakra from all the chakra points on the user's body. It is also a defensive maneuver to compensate for the Byakugan's blind spot as the released chakra blocks any possible attack on the user. After releasing chakra from every tenketsu in their body, the user then spins rapidly to parry the attack, both creating a rotating shield of chakra around themselves and tossing away any nearby attackers. The user can also actively control the size and power of the sphere to suit the situation. This technique is only effective when rotating, since the chakra itself is not enough to stop a physical attack thus if they cannot spin, the user becomes vulnerable. It should be noted that certain attacks can pierce through this shield. ( If they are one [1] or more ranks above the chakra used to generate the spin. If you cannot learn a certain rank of technique, you cannot create shields equal to that amount. ( A D rank genin cannot learn A ranked bloodline jutsu, so he cannot create A rank shields. However a C rank gennin can learn A rank bloodline jutsu and therefore can perform A rank shields.)

Hakke Sanjūni Shō [ Eight Trigrams: Thirty-Two Palms ]
The Eight Trigrams Thirty-Two Palms technique is a maneuver of the Gentle Fist fighting style. It is essentially a halved version of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, but seems to be no less effective. This technique is used to close off the flow of chakra through thirty-two chakra points of an opponent's Chakra Pathway System. This eliminates their ability to use chakra for quite some time and makes it difficult for them to move.Once someone is within range of her field of divination, Hinata assumes her Gentle Fist stance and begins to deliver her attack: First, two consecutive strikes to make two • Second, another two consecutive strikes to make four • Third, four consecutive strikes to make eight • Fourth, eight consecutive strikes to make sixteen • Fifth, and then another sixteen consecutive strikes in succession to make a total of thirty two.

B-Rank Techniques
Hakke Rokujūyon Shō [ Eight Trigrams: Sixty-Four Palms ]
The Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms is a maneuver of the Gentle Fist fighting style. It is reserved only for the Main branch of the Hyūga clan. This technique is used to close off the flow of chakra through sixty-four chakra points of an opponent's Chakra Pathway System. This eliminates their ability to use chakra for quite some time and makes it difficult for them to move.Once someone is within range of Neji's field of divination, he assumes a Gentle Fist stance and begins to deliver the attack: First, two consecutive strikes to make two • Second, another two consecutive strikes to make four • Third, four consecutive strikes to make eight • Fourth, eight consecutive strikes to make sixteen • Fifth, sixteen consecutive strikes to make thirty two • Sixth, another thirty two consecutive strikes in succession to make a total of sixty four strikes.

A-Rank Techniques
Hakke Hyaku Nijūhachi Shō [ Eight Trigrams: One Hundred and Twenty-Eight Palms ]
The Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms is a maneuver of the Gentle Fist fighting style. It is essentially a doubled version of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms performed at twice the speed. This technique is used to close off the flow of chakra through one hundred and twenty-eight chakra points of an opponent's Chakra Pathway System. This eliminates their ability to use chakra for quite some time and makes it difficult for them to move. Alternatively, it can be used to hit a great number of targets very quickly. Once someone is within range of Neji's field of divination, he assumes a Gentle Fist stance and begins to deliver the attack: First, two consecutive strikes to make two • Second, another two consecutive strikes to make four • Third, four consecutive strikes to make eight • Fourth, eight consecutive strikes to make sixteen • Fifth, sixteen consecutive strikes to make thirty two • Sixth, thirty two consecutive strikes to make sixty four • Seventh, another sixty four consecutive strikes in succession to make a total of one hundred and twenty eight strikes.

Hakke Hasangeki [ Eight Trigrams: Mountain Crusher ]
A powerful variation of [ Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm ]. This technique sends a mid-range wave of chakra directly towards an opponent, emitting from the palm. The impact is more than enough to shatter stone, so one can only imagine the damage it deals to the human body.

Jūho Sōshiken [ Gentle Step Twin Lion Fists ]
The user forms two large lion-shaped shrouds of chakra around their hands, then attacks the opponent with them. Though its full power was not shown in the manga, in the anime, it was shown that this technique has enough power to destroy Pain's chakra rods, as well as momentarily stunning the target after the attack lands (1 full post). Can also be a short [ 3 meters ] ranged attack. Lasts five (5) posts. All attacks gain a moderate strength increase for the duration of the attack.

S-Rank Techniques
Shugohakke Rokujūyon Shō [ Protection of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms ]
Created by Hinata Hyūga , this technique allows her to emit a constant stream of chakra from her palms, creating extremely sharp chakra blades. With her natural flexibility, Hinata can reach any point around her, allowing her to hit any target within her field of vision. While using this jutsu, Hinata moves extremely fast- almost a blur -allowing her to hit hundreds of targets with extreme precision, much alike the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms. It is so precise that it can cut smaller targets ( like bees. ) in half. Additionally, Hinata can control the size of the chakra beams in her palms, allowing her to create larger, arc-shaped chakra beams that spread out across her entire attack range. The technique was powerful enough to considerably fly back a Giant Bee summoning. With the addition of Hinata's flexibility, the technique creates an "absolute defense" effect similar to that of the Eight Trigrams Palms Heavenly Spin, though the cutting nature of the chakra prevents any outside force from restricting it. In this way, the technique can be used as both an offensive and defensive maneuver.
