________Choose Your Own Adventure
Welcome to the guild's mission creator! We've decided rather than having a set list of missions to choose from that it would be better for character that could design their own missions, or have a mod design a type of mission for them to do. The instructions are simple. Using one of the codes at the bottom of this post, fill out the form and post it in this thread. If there's a particular mod you would like to create and DM the mission for you, quote them. Otherwise, someone random may be assigned to you. If for any reason you don't get a response within [24] hours, please contact Royal Taorito or Lanfaer. Likewise, if you have any questions, contact one of us.
Mission Type
Choosing a mission type from one of the categories below helps determine the end goal of the mission being made.
Information Type
Education - Learn or teach techniques, skills, crafting, etc.
Explore - Explore location.
Infiltrate - Go undercover into enemy territory to gather information.
Investigate - Search for clues toward figuring out a situation.
Research - Study an item and report any findings.
Scout - Gather information on a location and report back.
Track - Follow a target to find out where they're going.
Delivery Type
Combat Type
Other Types
Mission Rank:
The rank of the mission determines the base reward. Ryo can be exchanged for a different type of currency, or items of similar value. Keep in mind difficulty of the mission as well for your rank. E-rank is the easiest and S-rank is incredibly difficult, but typically missions lower in rank are easy for the character and missions higher in rank are going to be fairly to very difficult to complete.
E-rank :: +100 exp, +200 ryo
D-rank :: +200 exp, +400 ryo
C-rank :: +400 exp, +800 ryo
B-rank :: +800 exp, +1600 ryo
A-rank :: +1600 exp, +3200 ryo
S-rank :: +3200 exp, +6400 ryo
Mission Length:
Length of the mission is variable. Mission length is the recommended number of posts to complete the mission in, not a minimum number of posts, though some missions may have a minimum or maximum number of posts. The higher rank the mission, the longer a 'short' mission is going to be, for the most part (although this isn't always the case). On average, increase the recommended number of posts to complete a mission by [+1] per rank, starting with [+0] at E-rank. The definition of 'posts' in this is also variable. If in a team mission or interacting with enemies/NPCs, 'posts' is the number of rounds of posting, whereas if it's a solo mission with no DM interaction, 'posts' is a number of paragraphs.
Short :: [1] to [3] posts.
Medium :: [4] to [6] posts.
Long :: [7] to [9] posts.
DM Guidance
This is how much direction you would like from a moderator. A moderator will almost always be involved for combat, but some missions, such as gathering missions, might not require any mod intervention. The amount of interaction requested will determine how much the moderation helps you along the 'right' path in the mission.
Minimal Guidance - DM will only be involved in describing a scene as needed, critical decisions, and to roleplay enemies/npcs. This is the best opportunity to get roleplay experience but missions may be more difficult due to lack of direction.
Minor Guidance - DM reacts to choices made my the character, but actions taken are completely up to the character. This may make mission last longer, but opens up more opportunities for roleplay experience.
Moderate Guidance - DM provides options to choose from, but leaves decision-making to the character. This is the standard level.
Heavy Guidance - DM directs the character down particular paths (but does not give away answers for everything). This leads to faster missions but less roleplay experience.
Team or Solo?
As the name suggests, determine whether you would like the mission to be a team mission, and how many people you'd like, or a solo mission. This might affect the difficulty of the mission being created.
Mission Theme
There's no specific categories to this, and it is entirely optional, but if you have any certain requirements or themes you'd like for the mission, list it here. For example, if you want a Gathering mission in which you collect a type of Stone (therefore using the Mining skill), you can mention that. Or if you have a particular target in mind for an Assassination mission, that would likewise go here.
Or if you would prefer to make the details for the mission yourself, use the following code.
