The Starmie, now propped up by Ryan, would give off a soft and pathetic sounding 'beeping' noise, typical of Starmie but this particular one sounded pained. Its gem core would flash in sequence with the beeps it made, the glow as feeble as its voice. Nothing else seemed off about it other than apparently being very exhausted, unlike Kabutops it didn't appear to have been in any recent battles, instead its exhaustion was the result of something else.
Kabutops on the other than looked a little more rough but thanks to Lykas was back on its feet, however exhausted and unable to stand up straight and thus relied on keeping its self balanced with a scythe braced against the coral floor. "Eimaanie botavi." The ancient Pokemon muttered, but not at Lykas, instead it was looking in Ryan's direction, or rather at Starmie. If Lykas paid close enough attention he might think he understood one of those words, 'botavi' sounding a lot like the Gyaanish word for 'show'. Was Kabutops speaking an even older dialect of Gyaanish? And apparently it wants Starmie to show something?
Starmie would respond to Kabutop's words with a beep louder than the others and its gem would light up bright as it summoned forth what little strength it had left. The Mysterious Pokemon would conjure up a Light Screen in front of it, the pink and rectangular construct floating in the air between it and Ryan. It would follow up the Light Screen by given off a rapidly serious of beeps, and while for a few seconds it was a mystery as to why the Snagems would soon find out as the Light Screen began to ripple. Starmie would begin to 'broadcast' its mysterious radio waves onto the Light Screen and much like how old analog televisions worked the Light Screen would begin to show images. Truly proof of how well trained this Starmie was.
Just like a television the Light Screen would play a scene for both Ryan and Lykas. They would witness on the screen Varuna himself, along with Kabutops, fighting off several Ground type Pokemon such as Sandslash and Gliscor as well as what appeared to be Ground Channelers wielding staffs as they summoned forth streams of sand to attack with. The ground they fought on was sand, clearly, which gave the Channelers the advantage but from what Ryan and Lykas could tell they weren't on the ground, they were fighting on top of some sort of flying vessel. The fight would go on for awhile before Varuna slipped up and was trapped by the sand constructs of three Channelers, A fourth one and its Golurk stomped forth as they seemed to prepare to finish Varuna off, who was clearly on his last legs. Kabutops could be seen Aqua Jetting straight for the Golurk only to get smacked to the side. The Master appeared hopeless until something caught his attention as he quickly looked to the sky which then began to rain. He would smile and turned to face the source of the images in the distance.
The source of the images would move finally as it appeared to get closer to Varuna, the Vaporeon hybrid looking right at the source which made it look like he was staring at Ryan and Lykas. The images had no sound to them so the pair was unable to discern what Varuna had said to the source of the images, only that the entire point of view began to spin around wildly until it arrived at Kabutop's side, the ancient Pokemon standing up and getting behind the source of the images before the point of view began to spin once again, the Snagems. The last thing they would see was the view change to nothing but clouds and sky as the source of the images launched its self off of whatever vessel it was on. The source would plummet for awhile until it splashed into the ocean, causing the Light Screen to shatter its self, thus ending the show.
Both Ryan and Lykas could easily piece together whose point of view they just witnessed; Starmie's. Another thing they could discern was that what they saw took place just moments before Starmie came crashing from the sky. If that were the case then Varuna was still up in the sky, on some sort of flying vessel, fighting for his life. He had heard the call of his students apparently and sent his Pokemon down to them, perhaps as a plea for help. Kabutops was probably still running on adrenaline and thus probably didn't intend to attack them, mistaking them for enemies as well. Either way both Starmie and Kabutops were spent, they were no longer any use to anyone. However their job was done, it was now up to Lykas and Ryan.

Lykas would recall Nuregami at this point, giving Ryan a chance to recall his own Pokemon, before releasing Mykel. "I need you to teleport us to a specific point, as accurately as possible." He told the Gardevoir. Willfully sharing his thoughts with the Psychic-Type, he awaited the expected answer.
"But boss, that's really dangerous!"[/i/] Mykel yelped, mentally, after analyzing his trainer's mind for a moment.
"I have a plan." He assured the Fairy before giving him a knowing nod. It was something he rarely had to do due to the bond with his partner but it was always reassuring for the Pokemon to see it. Mykel nodded and, after ensuring that Ryan was prepared, he pulled both the trainers through space and time with him, warping them almost straight up into the clouds, as high as he felt safe doing. Before he could do anything else, Lykas was in motion.
The hybrid recalled his Embrace Pokemon and threw out another Ball, releasing his Mantine, Cascade. "Tailwind, then use Twister to push us in that direction!" He told the ray. Cascade nodded as his fins spread out and caught the air beneath them. As he did, he summoned up a mighty wind at their backs, pushing them forward, toward the direction Lykas had dictated. Immediately after, he flipped his ribbon-like tail fin about a few times and sent a draconian whirlwind flying behind him, propelling them all forward just as Lykas wound his ponytails around Ryan to secure him to his own body and grabbed onto the Kite Pokemon.
This series of actions would result in the two trainers essentially sailing through the clouds in a similar manner to Varuna. At least at the speed they were moving, they should be capable of catching up to his ship before they reached terminal velocity. Plus, Cascade could simply change the direction of his Twister to slow theieeded.
"Sorry for the surprise but GRAY made a good point. No time to wait and see." He finally apologized to the Channeler strapped to his back like a toddler in a carrier. "Modern problems, solutions and all that." Hopefully Varuna's ship would come into view soon so they could help.

Ryan was going to protest, but why bother? As Lykas said, it was the quickest solution to their problem. "This stays between us, Lykas. Not a word to the others. Now, let's take care of our business." Ryan would say sternly as he resigned himself to his fate at the moment.

SubonicXP The Drilbur and Channeler paired 'drill' would attempt to grind against the icy sludge of a Lapiz Defense however it bogged them down heavily, causing the two to lose their rotation and begin to fall separate. The Ground Channeler would recall his Pokemon in midair as he began to fall, his Gliscor would dive to save his trainer however the Channeler had other ideas as he dropped another Pokeball, this one releasing a pink Gastrodon. The Gastrodon would fall right onto the Medusa Whip Ryan created and with some sort of Channeling ability the length of the whip began to turn to mud, rapidly spreading towards Ryan. The Channeler would land on his Gastrodon and with the same ability began to ride the slug like a surf board, commanding the mud its self to carry him up towards Ryan and Lykas at a rapid pace. As he made his way towards them he spoke a word in some foreign language, his Gliscor above responding by firing a spray of Poison Sting at them, the needles clearly serving more as a distraction than anything. Excellent! Ryan did have a better plan than Lykas' own. So the hybrid changed his plan entirely. As their assailants lost power and began to fall away, he spoke. "Keep Ryan safe and keep heading toward the ship, Cascade." He told his Mantine. "And I'm sorry in advance for the violation." He apologized to Ryan as he leaped into the air, liquefying his body via Acid Armor, and dove into the Channeler's Medusa Whip. Ryan would likely feel the foreign energy invading his own for a few moments as Lykas raced along the length of the watery construct until he reached the edge of the mud that was encroaching upon Ryan at it's other end.
Jumping out of the Medusa Whip with more velocity than he'd had when he jumped in, hands already glowing bright green as he ripped a series of orbs of energy from the Gastrodon with Giga Drain. "Not today!" He cried out as he flipped in mid air and landed on the Channeler's shoulders, coiling his ponytails around their shoulders as a red glow began to emanate from them. Power Whip was a hell of a thing if left unchecked and he would learn that quickly as the tentacles began to coil ever tighter. "One chance to live." Lykas warned from his perch, crouching on the man's shoulders so he could speak into his ear threateningly.
