Their task was progressing, surely, but there were still lengths to go before the Leaf duo were in the clear. “He’s made a name for himself here?” Sadayo waves for Ji to follow along with the toad. On the path, she would eyeball the numerous colorful sightings of other toads and the zipping supply of massive insects.I suppose when you’re a man among beasts, it’s not hard to stand out.
”Hm. I see where that would be unnerving as if walking into a ghost town.” If Sadayo’s brewing thoughts were allowed to go far enough, well, it might have been easy to say guess the same issue could be mentioned about herself. The setting wasn’t hers to relate to. Her wonders about a reverse situation would be distracting. Her attention returns forward, to the trail, and the moment. “The founding of the this new Leaf isn’t on the same grounds as its predecessor. That’s what I’ve been told at least. I wasn’t in favor of recycling the Leaf name. I’d rather hear the name revolve around the waterfall found in the region to alienate our identity from old ties. Some things don’t change, I suppose.”
The jounin found herself adjusting her collar. The humidity of this colorful land was making her neck feel sticky under her cloak. Maybe she’d look less imposing without the whole accessory?

The womans words caused a slight delay in the toads response,"Of course he has. He is after all our sage." Letting her get a bit ahead of the toad, said toad would jump forward to catch back up to her, then again to get in front of her. It would then wait for her to catch back up and repeat the process. "I am glad its not built upon the ruins but its name will still carry weight within him. Scars like his do not easily heal after all." " I see," her reply was thoughtful and came with a slow nod. Sage may have meant his ties were a little more in depth than interest would prefer. The toad's path was a gradual but grand leap after leap that ultimlately lead Ji and Sadayo to the place they surely needed to be.
Sticking to her manners, Sadayo was certain to express her gratitude to the armed amphibian before tearing herself (and Ji) to greet their 'missing person' in plain sight. How does one really walk up to a "missing person" and introduce themself? An introduction like normal? While apperances weren't really too much in concern here, it wasn't like the jounin wasn't completely fed up and worn out from heat ('heat' was practically a second name).
She fixed her enourmous collar, spent a moment to fluff her ponytails and to ensure her fringes were just as her little, dumb heart wanted. Alright. Semi-normal, abrupt introduction action it is. Sadayo took a deep inhale, exhale, and held her head high like a stately bust on a pedestal.
"If you've been here for as long as I think you have, Kairi Sisigou, then I suppose I could understand the acculmation to this climate. Try dry heat out when you get the chance!"
She could waste formalities but formalities wouldn't guarantee the attention she wanted. A hand gesture made low and behind her hip, to Ji, was a subtle signal to stand back. The duo were posing enough suspicioions as is. Sadayo was certain to keep her distance, granted that she was moving toward him (and his present party), and couldn't help but wait on that one ill-fated step into a sloshing puddle or something. The toad did mention other outsiders, yes? Standing idle couldn't do.
"I'll give you the luxury of learning my name in the same fashion I learned yours." With the extended party present, Sadayo wanted her name on a need to know basis and replicated her introduction alike with the frog. She would heave the cape over her shoulder with the hand closed over the little booklet with her identity before flipping it into his direction. Closed. "I bring a message." Her expression had by far been "playful" to a degree with the whole flip-book ID card introduction but with the next step coming into play, Sadayo curbs her smile into a dry and flat stare. After a few more tries with catching the flying bird made out of Kairi's hyoton jutsu, Makara would raise her tailed rear in the air and shake a few times before launching herself into the sky. In a single blow, she managed to wrap her arms around the icicle bird and crash back to the ground in a loud thump. After about a mile of tail followed alongside of her, she would clutch the cold animal in her hands and then tilt her head in confusion. Why was her prey still when touched by her? It had been moving so long ago and why was it made out of water? Did this kind of bird not have any meat to them? Makara was hopelessly confused while biting into her catch without any hesitation. It was cold and lacked any kind of food, but at the very least her thirst would be quenched for the time being. The man and his friend had been talking this whole time that the beast beside him would splay herself out and rest after that brief bit of playtime. She closed her eyes and had her tongue snake out of her mouth every so often to taste the air nearby, Her tail flickered, shuffling around in the grass while enjoying the sub hit her pale body.
Until another newcomer had showed up. This development had Makara come to attention as the drawing of footsteps drew closer and closer towards them. A black haired woman with an unwavering face. "Grrrrrrrah..." Makara growled at the woman, standing on her fours while staring at her with a ferocious expression on her face. Makara's tail flipped around, swaying in the breeze while doing its best not to snap on anything again.

Makara's antics brought a smile to the mans face for a moment. She truly was entertaining and it even elicited a chuckle from the man when she finally managed to catch his ice swallow. Though it was her shift to an aggressive posture which ripped his attention to the source of the posture. A woman with a hefty cloak and an anbu with her. Taking the book in hand he let his posture shift, a ever so subtle thing. Holding his right hand out to the side he indicated for Makara to relax. He wasn't equipped to fight like he wanted right now so fighting was something he wanted to avoid at all costs.
Without looking up he flipped open the book and began speaking,"Five years, four months, two weeks, and three days this morning. More than long enough to get used to it. Dry heat is annoying but not bad as long as you stay hydrated." Tossing the book back to the woman he folded his arms and nodded,"Say your message, I am listening." That was that Lahlil wants him back although Sadayo really hadn't a clue if Kairi ever met Lahlil. "That settles it then. First and foremost it is fair to tell you that the people of the Whirlpool Islands have relocated elsewhere since the eruption of the Volcano. The woman whipped her little booklet back under her cape. The frog's warnings about the ghosts of the past haunting one really required choose her words. It was in time that somehow Kairi would learn the Leaf name was in use again which plainly was the worst of her worries."I'm afraid that San-a-whosits woman didn't dig deep enough in her homework to see just how dormant the geological nightmare actually was." Sadayo was feeling so good about herself (and unthreatened) with Makara's growl that she freely stuck her tongue out at the overgrown lizard? At least Sadayo liked lizards. Even cracked a little smile through her facade.
"Here," she said, once again thinking of the Toad's warning. Sadayo took out a folded map of the newly reinstated Land of Fire with all her hard work of helping in the act of placing border markers was all pinpointed out in ink. Latitude, longitude, careful layering of circles where the land rose and fell. The new location of the "VILLAGE" was marked. "This is us."

Upon Kairi's hand motion to calm herself, Makara would cease her growling. The lizard kemono sat down and would let her tongue trickle at the air coming along as the strange woman and the man beside her would commence with their talking. She sat beside Kairi while her tail would sway from left to right, snaking through the grass nearby while the creature would occasionally let out a tired yawn. She eventually would stretch out some and lay down on the ground while her crimson eyes would keep an eye locked onto the gold eyed woman in front of Kairi. While idle conversation was exactly one of Makara's strong suits, she found herself semi interested in some words. Language was such a strange thing while she could identify some words more than others, she would perk her head up at the words, "send...bring...back." The woman event went so far as to stuck her tongue out in her own direction. Now she was speaking in her tongue! But how would they be getting to wherever that Makara was tasked with going?
Just then, the woman pulled out a map of sorts. It was a bit crude, obviously made by her own hands but it would do. She jumped to her feet and inspected the map for a second or so, eyes gathering little bits and details of information. It would make due. Makra scurried underneath Sadayu before picking her up on the top part of her back. She was heavy but Makara was used to it hauling around kills in the mountains for a while now. Her tail coiled softly around Sadayu to ensure she didn't fall off during her little sprint. She took one look at Kairi and snaked her tongue through the air, motioning for him to follow before taking off in a dead sprint the way Sadayu had come. The direction was fairly easy for her to remember, taking a harsh left to get back on the trail and out of the Sage Lands.

"Now. There's no reason to make this complicated. We have no hidden motives and it will al-AHLL!" The woman gasps with a surprise loss of footing. Sadayo hands fumbles to keep her map admits the confusion of being knocked off her feet and doing what she thought was falling. A warm something another coiling around her waist was really freaky. But in the confusion she was sort of left being propped upright, however, didn't have really without too many coherent left on her tongue to argue. Her hands scrambling to fold and gripping onto her map.
Ji was unfortunately a witness to this confusion. Embarrassing. At least Ji had the mind to follow and judgement to find their superior wasn't in any danger. The puppeteer tried to be swift to look over her arm, over the fabric of her cape, and downward at Makara who took the liberties to disrupt the operative's work and inadvertently freak her out. The look on Sadayo's face was a combination of alarm, confusion, and ruffled discontent. "Put me down." No. "Put me down." Without a response to her second request, Sadayo shoves the map into collar and forms a hand-sign with Makara bouncing her away from Kairi.

Upon landing, Sadayo's fleshy double cantars back to Kairi and speaks very low: "I hope your memory is as good as I hope. The physical map is in her hands. Her ponytails slunk in buried defeat. "We'd appreciate you coming along." Her sights stray from Kairi and any hopeful trace of agreeable body language.
The third body slipped away. Its ornate, distinguished form was extraordinary familiar. Despite its noteworthy appearance Sadayo had to restrain allowing her clone getting too caught up in further, outside business. The clone remains in wait for Kairi's reply.
