tab While it was always hot in Summer’s Touch, there was a sudden and sweltering feeling in the air. Heat unlike anything the ponies of the land the world had ever known. Even those ponies under summer’s influence feel it, unable to explain why it suddenly hits them so hard. Sweat dripping down their brow, bodies tired and worn. One day it’s normal, and then it isn’t- oppressive and exhausting from seeming nowhere. In a desperate attempt to combat the heat, the ponies of Seaside Breeze have a plan.

Known for its beachfront locale, Seaside Breeze brings a number of tourists to Summer's Touch when the weather gets too cold elsewhere. Not too hot, the air is cooled by the breeze off the ocean. The town operates a thriving boardwalk, with restaurants famous for their seafood and spicy fare. Visitors are welcome to tour the avenues, with fantastic spots for shopping the latest in fashion trends. Many a famous celebrity have been spotted in this oceanside resort, making a getaway to the luxurious hotels and black-sand beaches. It's said that the ash from nearby volcanoes has given the sand its obsidian color, but the ponies of Seaside Breeze claim it's just the town's own kind of magic. Vendors hawk bottles of the stuff on the corner with their carts, and you can always get a snow cone any day of the year here. So when it gets too hot, what do these ponies do?

tab A beach party! Obviously! What better way is there to beat the heat and enjoy the summer? The circumstances might not be ideal, but they can make the best of it. What else is there to do, anyway? Mope about it? No way! That’s not what Summer ponies do!

tab The shore has been outfitted with umbrellas, drinks, everything imaginable for a beach party. Ponies of every sort are laid out on towels, making cocktails (but not for the foals!!!), playing volleyball. Foals dart around the beach, kicking sand up and laughing. Their parents keep a watchful eye and chase along the waves, helping them find sand dollars and shells. All sorts of ponies have come out in droves, seemingly brought out to enjoy the day despite the heat wave. This is peak tourism season, with many foals out of school for a break, and Seaside Breeze welcomes them all with open hooves. There's no reason to let something like the sun get them down!

• You can only bring one pony to this RP event.
  For the sake of our RP staff (aka Moonstone's) sanity, one pony per player will be allowed- so if you want to bring a foal, you will not be able to bring their parents!
  
• Your pony MUST be certed to participate.
  There won't be premade ponies going out for you to RP this time- bring your own ponies for casual, nice fun in the sun! Get to know each other, make some plots!
  
• Be a good sport!
  RP works the best when we all play nice and work together. This is a fun event! If you have concerns, please take them up with staff! No whining or bullying allowed!
  
• This takes place in Seaside Breeze.
  Please ensure your pony is RPing where everyone else is; Seaside Breeze is a newly named city in Summer's domain, bustling with life. Typically it's of a lower temperature, making it more accessible for non-summer ponies. However, right now... it's just hot hot hot!
  
• If you have any questions, ask Moonstone Dazzle (So Long Gay Bowser) first.
  They're the creator of this META and the Head RP Manager! Please approach them first for questions, as they know more than Nym does about this META!

Paintwater opens her stand and angles the shades for optimum coverage. It was Hot. Hotter than a winter aligned pony would be happy to deal with. Cola was lucky she loves him.

She pours herself an ice cold drink first and then continues setting up her stand. Filling the ice box and making sure she has all ingredients ready. The Freezer was full and ready to go as well.

She checks her surroundings before sticking her head fully in the freezer to get a good blast of cold air. Hopefully no pony saw that...

Ok it was a little hot even for Havoc's liking so when he heard there was a party at the beach you better believe he was going to head there for it. He left a note for his herd the Pit Vipers to let them know where he was headed for the day and to join him if they felt like a good old beach party. He loaded up his bike that had and overly loud muffler and made his way to the beach.

His bike roared across any other sound at the beach before he parked it and Grabbed his cooler and beach umbrella. All of it black with flames or viper stickers all over it. He tsk at how many non summer ponies there were there ,but hey whats a party without outsiders right? He found what he thought was the perfect spot and set his stuff up.

Out of the corner of his eye he noticed a rather sparkly pony stick their head fully in a freezer and he couldn't help but laugh. He headed over with a smirk on his face. "Don't feel bad even I can tell today is a hot one, oh sparkly one."

Mona was so excited to go to this beach party. All they way there she was thinking about swimming and laying in the sand. When she arrived it was so hot she had take a pause and figure out if she was in the right spot. Mona looked at the city sign and yep she was in the right spot. She walked around starting to sweat. The quickly found a spot at the party where it was in the shade with a umbrella. She quickly dropped he stuff off at the spot and looked for a place to get a big ice cold drink.

When she finally found bought her drink she quickly went back to her set and drank her cold drink. Then watched all the other pony's arrive. When she was looking around she spotted a pony sticking their head in a cooler. She giggle and thought to herself that was probably a good idea right now.

Paintwater blushed, giggled, and flipped her stall sign to 'open.'

The stall was already decorated with pictures of everything available. She had a few types of soda, some adult drinks, popsicles, and even fresh popcorn.

She took a deep breath and psyched herself up for the coming crowds.

The steady arrival of more and ponies didn't really concern Sanka. He smiled and waved at everypony he passed on his way back in from the open water. The bat shook himself off to expell as much water as possible from his body before grabbing towel from his small section on the black sands. Draping his towel over his bag, he reached over to pick up his bottle of water and brought it up to take a drink. He stopped as he lifted it and only a drop could be seen in the bottom of the bottle.

He hummed his disappointment in himself while he looked around at the stalls. One in particular seemed to be open, if the few ponies around it were any indication so he strode towards it. He tossed the empty bottle in the bin on his way by.

Babbling Brook was so excited to be back in her seasonal home. She'd spent a good amount of time traveling, but when she heard rumor of a new tourist town opening in her Summer paradise, she knew it was time to circle back and size everything up.

Accompanying her was her serpentine pet, Ripple. The Serapent looked so similar to Babble that she often said they were made to belong to one another. Her pet was currently wrapped loosely around Babble's neck, looking more like a necklace than Babble's actual accessories.

With dancing eyes and high spirits, Babble looked around with a giddy, foal-like excitement.
"Should we go in the water? Or should we talk to somepony? Oooh, look, Ripple! Popcorn!" Her mind made up, she approached the stall and the unicorn that was running it! "Hey there!" She greeted the other. "How much for some popcorn and soda pop? Golly gee, you've got popsicles too? Everything about your stall pops, don't it?" She joked with a smile.

Paintwater laughed. "Very much so! Popcorn is 3 bits, Soda is 1 bit. We have cola, Pear, and Grape soda. All Ice cold."

Paint waved at the next approaching pony, Shellee, and focused back on Brook to see what she'd decide on.

Lecorein wiped his brow for what seemed to be the millionth time today. It was sweltering hot out and the cold drink he had was just not going to be enough. He was on break from teaching classes and had decided to go on a small vacation. He had done the tried and true method of tossing a dart onto a map to see where he should go. Now he was reflecting on his actions with some chagrin. Perhaps he should have stayed back at the hotel with the cooler air? Well it was too late now he supposed. He was headed toward a stall to get another drink and paused by a bin to finish his own. He saw a dark pony with a whole mess of hair. “That style seems like it would be warm.” He supposed their color would keep in heat as well. It was perhaps one of the few time he was thankful to be so light furred

Havoc raised a bit of a brow as Paintwater only giggled and flipped her stall sign to open. " Ok.....Nah I'm good sweet cheeks most of us are smart enough to bring our own cooler." Havoc said with a tsk and flick of his tail. Honestly he was trying to be nice well for Hovac at least when he had spoken to her at first but sense she seemed to only speak when asked about what she was selling he moved on with a scoff.

He blinked a moment when the lion pony spoke to him. Man that guy was pastel as could be! " It looks like your mane can be quite warm itself, but I'm a summer pony I don't feel the heat as much. Though today I can....but this jacket is just my favorite so hot or cold I wear it!" He laughed before giving a smirk. "My name's Havoc, leader of the Pit Vipers. What's your name and your game my feline equestrian friend?"

Leo shook his head it was true his mane felt like it weighted more then usual with all the sweat that was building up in it. “I fear I can’t hold the same sentiment on the heat being a winter pony.” He looked over the delinquent pony. “I am a physical education teacher in Everville. What is a Pit Viper?” Was that some sort of punk rock band? He knew full well that one’s looks did not denote their temperament so just as he would not judge his students Leo tried hard not to judge a stranger. Tossing his now empty drink he looked to the stall. “any good flavors you would recommend?” He asked Havoc. Right now he was half considering just jumping in the water and staying there.

Marmalade hummed to himself as he began setting up his stall. The summer heat was unpleasant to the autumn-loving pony, but not all unwelcome. The warmth from the sun brought ponies from all around to this location, and it was perfect for handing out samples for his new jams.

"There we go," Marmalade said to himself, proudly looking over his finished handiwork. Homemade jams and jellies filled the small stall shelves, an array of flavors and colors. In the center of the stall sat some small paper cups, each with a spoon and a bit of jelly inside.

"Free samples!" He called, hoping to attract attention. Typically, he knew jam wasn't exactly a summer-type food, but perhaps with all the ice cream shop lines so long, ponies seeking cool food of any sort would linger over.

For whatever reason there was for the weather to be so terribly hot was beyond Mewori, but it didn't stop her from going down to Seaside Breeze. The hot sand on her paws was surprising when she stepped out onto it while looking out over the water. "Hot!" Mewori exclaimed, jumping off of the sands and checking her paw paw pads to make sure they were okay. It was quite the shock! She spied a nice little spot not too far from the water with a table next to a lounge chair and umbrella that seemed to just be calling out to her. Making sure that her duffle bag wouldn't fall during the run, she then made a mad dash to the spot, a chorus of "ouch" and "hot" falling from her lips every quickstep of the way.

Once she was close enough, the car jumped off of the burning sands and barreled into the chair. "Oh thank goodness!" she sighed out in relief as she curled herself up and off the hot hot ground for the moment. With a great deal of cation, Mewori reached her back foot down over the edge of the chair, lightly patting the sand hidden from the sun's brutal rays by the cover of the umbrella. She sighed in relief as the coolness from the shady sand soothed the bottom of her paws. The cat dangled her feet off the edge and wriggled her toes beneath the grains of sand. "This is sooooo much better," she said to herself.

After having taken a few minutes to soothe her toes in the cold sand beneath the shade, she refocused her attentions to the happenings of the beach. It was bustling and it was something else. She didn't really come to socialize, but just to relax. Maybe even have a drink or three as she read the new trashy romance novel she picked up a few days back. With her book, bottle of water, and an adjusting of her sarong, Mewori happily settled back into the chair. With her feet kicked up and her book in hand, she got to reading and drinking some water... for now.

"oh that is nice. I am happy I dont have to go to far to get a drink." Then she seen another pony yelling free sample. She quickly got up and walked over to the booth. Before she arrived she was hoping that is would be lemonade or maybe icecream, but no. She looked at the items and looked at the pony. " oh, jelly." She started to giggle " I would have never thought of this as a summer food." She grabbed a sample and sniffed it. When she ate it she gave out a loud mmmm. " This is so delicious."
