Tatsuko had no time to appreciate her handiwork as the village continued to burn, it's people suffer, it's hope fade. The Oni seemed to converge on Riven as she released her previous attack in order to paralyze them all. It was clear none of the Oni had even taken notice of the secondary attack as each of them would seize, their bodies held in place for just a moment longer, giving the Samurai a chance to save the village.
Satisfied with Riven's ability to slay paralyzed oni, she would turn her attention to the crackling noise of lightning as the chriping of birds would replace the noise and fill the air. Several daggers found themselves flying toward the Oni coated in Chidori chakra. Her traveling companion had appeared, finally from the tavern he'd sought out. "Indeed, Raiu Ishikura. The past five years seem to have done you well. You're practically a young lord." Her own words were sharp, but not hostile. It would be clear to Ishikura that she was sharp enough to read his under tones and clearly did not tolerate them silently.
Her gaze would meet Ishikura's for a moment before her attention shifted back to the plight of the villagers. She would sheathe her blades, bringing her hands together to form a string of hand signs as she manipulated the water that had been dispursed across the field already, including her rain and Atomu's. The water that had washed over the area would begin to collect in a tubular formation that formed a ring around Tatsuko until she would release the hand sign, waving her hands outward on either side to force the water to wash the water over

After a while, the burning feeling suddenly hit his skin. The delay of pain from his water breathing wore off as he made his way towards another of the once burning or perhaps still burning buildings. It wasn't serious, however being around so much heat was always bad for the body. Regardless the young samurai would continue onwards towards civilians. In addition to saving those from the structurally unsound housing and now less than burning buildings thanks to the powerful lightning and water lady he would make sure to direct civilians away from the ongoing fight at one end of the village. Hoping to assure them they would be safe. The water now here was a godsend for him if he were to be honest. Made him feel a bit more comfortable, even a little calmed down...regardless he simply attempted to save as many as he could while the others that were around continued their fight against the Oni.
His eyes met with the lightning mesh, stopping short of his position and searing the two remaining Oni and slowing their movements.
"Now ..."
He drew in a breath, holding it as he lunged forward, wielding both his spirit blade and his katana for his assault. Mayhaps to the demons they wouldn't see him so easily, but he would lunge nonetheless and cloaked in his brilliant demonic peace of chakra he would slash at both of their heads with immense force before landing on the opposing side of the injured Oni.

He stood with his back to the Oni he possibly beheaded, but his spirit sword and his katana were still out and wielded. He wasn't the kind to needlessly brutalize a body, but he wouldn't be a very good Samurai if he just dropped his guard. His family already said he didn't have to be one if he didn't want, he shouldn't give them more reasons to push him out of this profession.

Terrible beast after terrible beast would meet the blades and the cold chill of death that followed. Each home that was put to flame, exstinguished by the combined effort of Atomu and Tatsuko. After several moments, a tranquil peace enveloped the mountain pass, for now at least. Slowly, the villagers returned to peer upon what remained of their homes. Collectively realizing that they'd been saved by these Samurai, they would begin to collect around the ones who'd saved them. They would not clap and cheer for the lives of twenty two of their own had been lost and the somber events would pain them each. However, they would all approach them, sobs mixed among the crowd and would one by one begin to rest upon their knees, bowing to their heroes. The crowd would eventually disperse as the people would begin to move to recover the dead and begin preparations to repair their mountain pass village.
An elderly man would approach before the Samurai would feel that they had freed themselves from responsibility to this place today. "T-thank you, Noble Samurai. Had you not arrived when you did we surely would have lost more than we have today." He fumbled with the burlap sack that he had dragged from a burning house previously,charred with ash. From it he removed a rather sizeable amount of Ryo. " Please, as heroes of the village we insist you take this. We are ever gracious. " With that, he placed the coin in each of their hands and would join his villagers in the efforts.
OOC: The techniques being used are listed below as well as the status of the mountain pass. Save as many villagers and stop the destruction of as many buildings as possible. Bonus XP will be awarded at the end of the event for saving at least half the villagers and buildings. Villagers are unable to escape burning buildings and die with the building's expiring post.
The battle was over, the oni defeated...a majority of the villagers saved. Atomu's breathing returned to normal. Pain wracked his body from the effort he put forth while using the water breathing technique. The group of them that assisted in taking on the Oni were brought forth and awarded. Atomu was tempted to decline the money...however he thought it may be rude to decline one's thanks. He himself looked around....even thought to thank the many people that helped aside from him. However he had something to do, he needed to make sure he could get to Zaishin, and begin his plan. As such he would begin moving, heading out towards the village he was on the way to in the first place. Or perhaps not, seeing some sort of signal off in the distance....perhaps he would make another detour.

"Phew."
He shoved out a breath of air, the glow of his eyes returning to normal. His spirit sword dissipating, his normal katana sheathed. Easy enough maybe, depending on how many people died, but he had to be okay with that. At his current skill level he had to accept what he could and could not do without blaming himself too much.
Beating yourself up for what you are incapable of was too much arrogance, believing you are entitled to being stronger than what you are.
"Oh, thanks I guess."
He would accept the ryo and look it over for a bit, he didn't know how to tell if it was fake but he saw store clerks do this a lot and kind of enjoyed the idea. Alright, it was about time he headed out.
"Lady Raiu." He bowed before he made his way out of the Village.

The marketplace was full of people today. The crowd was rather loud and talkative but she didn't mind. Feathers and chains adorned her body as the wispy white hair flowed behind her. No one paid her any mind besides the few side glares, she was beautiful after all and the feathers that rested on her bosom still teased the beholders of her side angle. Or maybe it was because of the ram-like horns that sat on her head. Or was it hers? She heard a grow caw as she stopped for a moment, her bare feet felt the ground shifted underneath her skin. Her eyes looked around to find her cawing friend. Perched on a top of a stall, she saw a crow as she gave the crow a friendly smile. Headed towards the stall, the man was busy with a customer and hasn't noticed her yet. Her cold gaze observed for a moment, as she was trying to see an opportunity to why the crow leads her here. It was then she saw it, something shiny behind the man. It wasn't for sale and it seemed to be a personal item of his.
With a silent chuckle, her fingertips touched the grapes, and wanted to see if they had some good quality. The man was done with a customer and froze, seeing her at his stall. "May I?" She questioned with a sly and half seductive smile. She had pulled one of the grapes and wanted to try it. The man stammered for a moment and nodded. "Thank you." She popped the grape into her mouth and it was delicious. The crow caw and fluttered away, but she knew why. She requested the man to bag up the grapes for her as he was more than happy to help her, it was then, a woman had approached the man and while she was waiting, three more customers had arrived. Perfect.
Handed the ryo to the man's hand, she thank him and walked away as the woman was annoyed and smacked the back of the man's head. When she had made it to a safe distance, the female waved her fingertips slightly at the man as if she was lecturing him. Insects were at the fruit stand as the customers hollered in surprise. The man was confused and smashing at the fruits to get the bugs away while the customers were attempting to push and flick away the bugs crawling at their arms with their hands. At the same time, the man had confessed that he was cheating on his wife in return, she admitted, she too was cheating on him. Arguments, heated tension, punches had been landed. There was screaming. People were finding little things to fight about. It was small as someone's hair color to massive as the sheer hate of a loud neighbor for many years. Stalls were started to get destroyed in the crossfire. Silent and still, she slowly ate the grapes out of the bag as the anger had started to spread. Trilled softly, the crow from earlier scooped down and grabbed the shiny charm it had its eye on earlier.
The crow took off and landed by her as she trilled softly once again, she stopped eating the grapes as the anger and commotion started to die down. Dazed, people were trying to comprehend what just happened. Her finger gently stroke the black feather's chest as it puffed out, happy to have a charm and some pets. "Enjoy, my friend. We have a long trip to Midnight Realms." She kissed the crow on the forehead as it let out a muffled caw and flew into the spacious sky. Finished with her grapes, she threw the bag away into destinated trash area. As people were coming to, they started to see no evidence of insects anywhere and the husband and wife were trying to say that they don't know what came over them and they had never cheated. People were apologizing for the punches and devastation that had been bestowed on their stalls and had mentioned that they don't know what came over them.
With a sly and mischievous smirk, she had done enough damage for today. Slid down the rooftop on the other side of the street, away from the destruction, she headed towards the docks.

A small wooden ship lazily cut through the waves along the shore of Iron Country. The salty air along the cold stretch of partly frozen foam stung at the edges of the driver's eyes as they squinted slightly through the mist towards the docks ahead. The vessel in question was less of a boat, and more of a canoe carved from a large tree. The bark was still attached in some places, and the hole made for the sailor to sit was no bigger than needed for them or their belongings -- which only consisted of a few scraps of bread, a delicately crafted ornate bow, and a large axe made of steel and littered with knicks along both edges of the blade.
The roughly created boat sailed smoothly through the water as though it had been expertly made. The secret of its gliding movement made possible through the owner's use of chakra to manipulate the water underneath, carrying her against the tide and up to the wooden beams that legitimate seafarers tied down their craft for fear of losing it to the imposing sea ahead. In contrast, when the woman found her pieced together creation close to shore, she merely reached up to the edge of the dock and hoisted herself up to the moorings. She turned to watch the dismembered tree unknowingly cling to the edge of its more sturdy cousin whose job was to hold the weight of merchants and fisherman as they made their way to the real boats that awaited their gold-lined pockets.
There was a small moment of appreciation for the vessel that had carried her here from the north, but the moment was quickly dismissed as Kida turned to face the village she had found herself in. The fighter had been here before. A vague scent of nearly priceless ore triggered some remnants of a memory with her mother carrying a fish nearly as tall as she had been while she trailed along in light skips through the market square. A fond moment that was well in the past now. Hardly helpful for the ever-changing streets of a central economic hub that was Yamatoge. A good place as any to begin the fevered search that spurred the woman's journey away from home. However, for a moment, the goal in her mind had become clouded by a curious sight that happened to be within her gaze at the same moment that Kida had pushed herself into the crowded streets by the docks. A woman with horns, adorned in chains and feathers as her only means of clothing gracefully tumbled from the rooftops ahead onto the dirt path that would reach the shoreline. There was a stark and noticeable shift in the appearance of this woman and her surroundings. A curious one that felt nostalgic. That looked of home in a nearly sacred manner. It was the first time that Kida took a pause in her journey -- a journey that had yet to begin -- and this was more than enough to entice the wanderer to make contact.
"I want to know where to find medicine. Where is the doctor in the village?" Kida moved towards the feathered creature and stepped directly in front of her before speaking, ensuring that the woman would notice her. It seemed less rude to merely block her path than to place a hand on her shoulder to get her attention.
Having been in the area for a while, the white haired male was relaxing. From a distance viewing the happenings going on around this village. Looking for those who would be capable of satisfying his urges. A sigh escaped his mouth as he sat atop one of the fairly recently repaired buildings. Looking out into the crowds of people, frown on his face now. When he had arrived in this place he heard of the destruction that happened here but hadn't exactly been part of or observed it. The locals called the attacks demons, so it had intrigued him this world had something like that. He stayed to witness them for himself but it never came to fruition. The people here seemed content, and there seemed to be little trouble in the village and it bothered the man. Picking at his teeth, then stretching a bit before leaping off the building and onto the next.
Nothing interesting was happening still. People lived, left their houses, worked, and returned. That seemed to be it...however something caught his eye. No someone caught his eye, a woman whom he had never seen before. There were visitors to this place all the time, however none such as she. Her attire made he think her anything but normal. Watching the interaction she had from nearby buildings above and in secret. It was interesting, but even more so interesting was the sudden commotion that happened as she walked away. A riot incited seemingly out of nowhere, and she simply walked away without a second thought. Was this her doing? If so that'd have been very interesting. Turning attention back to the female walking away to see the bird approach her. Interesting indeed.
Continuing to take the approach of merely relaxing for the time being...but this time with a bit more intent. Following by the rooftops still to the docks where the woman made her way. Only to be suddenly stopped by another woman who seemed to have just arrived from the way she appeared at the docks. She was a bit less extravagant and different than the rest...but still different in her own way. Perhaps it was fate these two women met? Now close enough even though above on the rooftops to hear the speech of the others. The woman who positioned herself in front of the one with the bird spoke of medicine and doctors. Perhaps this was actually his chance then?
The white haired male would leap off the rooftop, down onto a lower portion of building, and then to a position nearby the two females. A bit of a smile on his face, his attire was odd for those around here to say the least. Wearing what seemed to be a slew of purples and blacks, along with the most obvious thing on her person. A coat with a white fur lining that he didn't...seemed to be actually wearing really. At least not the way a coat is suppose to be worn. It merely sat on his shoulders, his arms not in the sleeves and it free to move as it pleased. "Well, Is there anything I can by chance help either of you with?" He'd ask the two of them.

At the docks, people left her alone and it seemed that word was started to slowly spread about the marketplace oddity that occurred moments before. The stories were already different. How amusing. The stories never seemed to be the same. To her surprise, her blue-gray iris gazed over the female that stood in front of her and asked where to find the doctor in the village. Heard a caw in the distance, she turned her head towards a crow that was perched onto one of the wooden poles that succumbed to the watery depths below. A foundation for this dock. It cawed again, its feathers ruffled. Wondered to what got her friend's interest, she looked over the female and saw it, the silver thread of the bow. Of course. Her friend loved anything shiny and even Tsukiya had to admit, it was rather beautiful. She wanted to touch it. Before she could respond, another voice, this time, was deeper. An oddly dressed male approached them but the attire didn't bother her, after all, she too, had an odd attire. He must be a traveler who was kind enough to ask if there was anything he could help them with. With a warm smile that did not match the mischievous gaze of hers, she nodded, "Why, yes, thank you!" She paused for a moment then started to make sniffing sounds, seemingly distracted by something. Used the sea smells to help her create this distraction, "Do.. do you smell that? She questioned the pair of them, the salty air was replaced with the powerful delicious aroma that filled up their nose, reminding them of their absolute favorite food that they would wish to devour at this very moment. Pooled her chakra into her throat, intertwining with her vocal cords, "I can inform this handsome man to help you find the doctor if you give me the silver of your bowstring. After all, there's always more that could be created! Her voice would be very persuasive, making it so much more believable that this female, can indeed, find another bowstring just like it in her travels! Distracted by the amazing smells of the food that would surely have their stomach wail in protest and need for it along with the hurry to get to the food before it gets cold or disappeared. "I think the smell is coming from the marketplace.. it smells so wonderful." Tsukiya added, in hopes that the duo would be in a hurry to give Tsukiya what she wanted so they could simply rush to the marketplace to find their favorite food of their dreams. Even the mere thought possibly would cause them to salivate.
