After Lahlil 'composed' herself back at the office, they began their run without further delay. From the Hokage's Mansion they ran up to the stone faces and back down the other side before circling around the small lake in Konoha and, eventually, running through the streets of the residential district. Karuto was a pretty good runner despite his heavy bulk yet even he was working up quite a sweat- he definitely wasn't taking it easy on Lahlil! As they came up to a cross section Karuto turned to the Hokage and playfully pushed her "See that stop sign? Beat me to it or we're taking another lap around the village!" After giving her his fair warning he picked up his pace moderately, going from a slow run to a slow sprint. Lahlil would have to push herself and burn everything she had left in the tank in order to avoid ANOTHER 5 miles.

tabStruggling to keep up Lahlil huffed and puffed her way behind Karuto, almost losing her balance when she knocked into her, playful or not. As was customary for their daily routine this was about the time that she started to hate herself and swear that this would be the last time she ever worked out again. Eyes widening at the prospect of running the village again Lahlil silently cursed herself. Marbles!“Do you think… we could… take a break… ah- after this… and study forms?” Sweat flying off her face the young kage braced herself before breaking out in a full-blown sprint. Her part of her body crying out in anguish at being forced to work again after getting a small taste of relaxation. “I feel… like I’m gonna… pass out!” With as much stamina as her pale legs could muster did Lahlil make a break for the sign.

It wasn't even close. Karuto made it about halfway to the stop sign at his relaxed speed and then kicked it up a half dozen notches. He seemed to blur into the background and a half second later reappeared next to the stop sign, looking back at Lahlil and grinning wildly "As usual, you owe me another lap around the village. I'll be by again tomorrow morning to collect on the debt" He clapped the Kage on the shoulder, making sure to be gentle with her diminutive frame. He gestured to a nearby cafe and made his way over with her. The pair immediately sat at a table and had two cool glasses of water brought out to them. After he let the kage catch her breath for a minute or so, Karuto leaned back in his chair and stroked his blonde beard with his one remaining hand "I figure it's time for you to start learning Taijutsu proper. I feel like your body is conditioned enough to handle some of the basics. I would recommend a more evasive style, something that emphasizes dodges and escapes rather than blows."

tabOut of pure desperation Lahlil briefly entertained the thought of putting Karuto in a genjutsu to make him think that she ran around the village. Something that would ever remain in her imagination however as there was no way that she could ever break their bond of trust. She WAS however, more than eager to take her seat in the café for even the slightest break. Gripping her water like a man possessed the young woman chugged what she could before the need for air forced her to stop. “UGH. I never knew how much I loved until up until this very point.” After a little coughing intermission Lahlil quickly drank what was left before slamming down the cup on the table. “And second off, excuse my language, but no hecking way .” Though she probably didn’t look like it the little kage gave Karuto her best tough talker look that she could muster to let him know that she was the one that was going to be leading this little training session of theirs. “What’s that little lightning thing you always do? I want to do that one and start punching holes through people!”

He couldn't help but let loose a grin as Lahlil puffed herself up and made her authority known. With a chuckle he leaned back in his chair and folded his hands over his abs "Yes, hecking way!" He said, immensely amused by her attempts at puffing herself up. When she told him what style of Taijutsu she wanted to learn, Belamos nearly choked on the water he was drinking, causing much of it to come bursting out his nose "Kaiser Fist?!" He said, wiping the water of his bard "Look that's not really an easy one to pick right out the gate. Yeah, it's useful, but so many people are learning it now-a-days due to the power it has that it's kind of lost it's prestige." Exhaling a sigh, Karuto leaned in towards Lahlil and put his remaining arm on the table in a rare moment of seriousness "The true spirit of Taijutsu isn't going after the quickest route to power, or choosing whatever seems the most flashy or in vogue at the moments, it's connecting yourself to the art. Understanding, appreciating and respecting a fighting tradition that has endured for hundreds of years. And, from a practical standpoint, Kaiser Fist is meant to keep you fighting in the frontlines as long as possible- the exact place you shouldn't be." With a long swig he downed his glass of water and pointed to the road "Meet me at my gym. I have a great idea!" tabLahlil’s musical voice filled the air, being echoed louder from the lack thereof any countering hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was still early in the morning for many but that certainly didn’t stop Lahlil from tromping through the streets, knees lifting high in the air parade style, as she proudly led her students to her favorite string of sweet food stalls. It wasn’t any secret to her that most stalls specifically traded for sweets in the hopes that the Hokage would come visit them. Amazing for business if the leader of the entire village said good things about your food. But of course, for that very reason Lahlil always ended feeling bad if she didn’t pay equal attention to all the stalls in the area, meaning it never really worked out anyway and Lahlil herself usually ended up having to cart a obscene amount of food back to the office.
Not this time though! This time she would keep her promise to herself. There just needed to be a little test first that is. As the trio would round the corner, they would be met with the most beautiful treat heaven that they could ever imagine. Fountains of every kind of chocolate were overflowing with their delicious nectar while numerous stalls appeared to be made out of candy themselves, putting them completely at odds against the rest of the village’s structures. Twinkle in her eye Lahlil wondered just how long it would take them before either realized that it was fake. “Welcome to my personal treat heaven!”

Mariko marched behind Lahlil in a similar fashion, adding her own little tune in the attempt to harmonize with the Hokage. She made sure she wasn't leaving Ishiba behind, who may or may not have participated in the marching and singing going on as they traveled through the streets. Regardless of her classmate's timid nature, Mariko had grown quite fond of the girl in such a short amount of time, and was especially drawn to her caring personality that gave her a big sister vibe. Lahlil on the other hand, as if it wasn't so obvious already, the little ball of sunshine would do all she could to follow in her new idol's footsteps. Even if that meant imitating her every move.
As they rounded the corner, Mariko couldn't believe her eyes. Gasping aloud, the girl's eyes grew wide, her pupils taking on the form of hearts as a representation of her insane love for sweets. "Ca... ca... ca..." She stammered, salivating at the mouth as she stared upon the spectacle in awe. Sweets were clearly her weakness, but her mind was slowly catching up with her. Confusion set in, much to her disbelief. "La-heel... h-how did you make this?" She walked up to the fountain of chocolate, unable to control herself. It was like being in one of her many dreams about running around a giant Candyland; eating all the treats she could ever want, petting marshmallow bunnies, and driving candy karts into the sunset. Mariko never asked, so she was careful not to touch any of the candy without permission, to prevent upsetting Lahlil. She'd look to her, silently asking to sample the milk chocolate fountain with pleading eyes.
Ishiba looked on at the massive row of stalls, all selling confections of a multitude of types; a lot of which she'd never even seen before. Though she never really liked sweets much to begin with, this felt like way too much to Ishiba. She looked at Lahlil with a mixture of confusion and worry, How could someone like sweets so much...? Though her own thoughts were unlikely to betray her at this point, she wasn't sure it'd stay that way. "I-I s-see..." She stuttered out. It was relatively clear that Ishiba wasn't all too interested in sweets, what with the way she was actively attempting to look at anything but them. Though she had all but returned to her shaky-self by this point, she was clearly attempting to make an effort of not going full lamb-mode.
Ishiba is a small young girl, with a suprisingly lithe frame. Her hair is raven black, and reaches past her shoulders; in a completely straight and dignified manner. Her eyes are emerald green, and shine with hope. Her voice is soft and small, but still somehow carries rather well.

tabWith a strange mix of guilt and amusement Lahlil watched the children play around in her personal wonderland. Mostly it was Mariko's excited reaction that caused a twinge of guilt in the Hokage, but this was a lesson that the two would have to learn and considering what some illusions could do to them, this was the best way she could think of at least. "Mariko think fast!" Breaking off a piece of bark chocolate from a nearby stand, Lahlil tossed the creamy milk treat at Mariko for her to eat. "I want you to taste that and tell me what you think about it alright? Ishiba you too, anything you see in this place! Take a bite out of it and see if you can tell me anything strange about it." If indeed the pair followed her instructions then they would find the taste of the delicious candy to be severely lacking when compared to it's appearance. In fact it was nonexistant! The cream puffs, nutter butter snacks, donuts, chocolate bars, every single treat that could be seen had absolutely no taste at all! Hands on her hips Lahlil stood knowing but unhelpful, leaving this mystery to be solved by the girls. Perhaps their taste buds had simply gone out? Or just maybe... what they were seeing wasn't really there and they would have to find their own way out of this puzzle. "Boy, that sure is strange hm~"

Mariko caught the chocolate bar and eagerly bit into it before Lahlil had the chance to tell her to. Internally she was already prepared for that sweet, chocolaty taste she was very familiar with. The smile that was present started to slowly disappear with confusion, her jaw still working at the pieces stored in her cheek. Mariko let out a mumble of sorts, her eyebrows furrowing. Something was wrong. The chocolate she was eating... didn't taste like chocolate - in fact, it didn't taste like anything! Mariko's jaws went into overdrive, munching on the remaining pieces, with the assumption that maybe Lahlil had just given her a bad piece of the bark, or that if she chewed more, the flavor would come out... but still, there was nothing. "L-La-Heel... it doesn't taste like anything..." There was a clear tone mixed of disappointment, sadness, and confusion in her voice.
Then an idea came to her: the chocolate fountain! She could sweeten the bar with it, and it would taste ten times better, no doubt. Swiping the remaining piece through the creamy cocoa, she ate that piece as well. "Hm!?" It still tasted like nothing! Mariko turned to the fountain, swiping a finger through the chocolate fall to taste it for herself. The chocolate bar is messing with the flavor... But her eyes grew wide in shock when even that had no effect on what she was tasting. It was all so confusing for the little girl, and was starting to affect her mood. What was the point of eating any of this stuff, if it didn't taste like anything? Why would someone so cool as Lahlil do something like this to one of her biggest fans!? If this was supposed to be a joke, Mariko was not finding it funny. Tears welled in her eyes, as she turned to Lahlil, bottom lip poking out. "La-Heel... what did you do to the candy?" She was demanding an answer. It wasn't even until now that she came to realization that she hadn't even smelled the familiar aroma of any of this candy... especially the chocolate!
"T-this is not right... No taste. No smell. This is bad candy, La-Heel... Bad!" The once cheery little girl was showing a bit of anger behind her tears now. If there was one thing that could upset her, it was messing around with her sweets. However this anger came from hiding the true pain she was feeling. If she found out Lahlil was actually playing a trick on her and Ishiba... she'd be heartbroken.
Ishiba's eyebrows were pretty much a rollercoaster by this point, raising in skepticism and falling and furrowing in dissappointment. She watched, barely restraining her movements, as Mariko got progressively more upset. She then looked to Lahlil, with something akin to the look a child would give a stranger. Ishiba then walked over to Mariko, and held her hand. Ishiba looked back at Lalil, and stifled a slight giggle. "Y-you really m-make me t-think of m-my mom s-sometimes..." Ishiba said matter-of-factly. "A-as I'm m-mostly sure, f-flavorless candy d-does not e-exist; this i-is most p-probably Genjutsu..." Ishiba said, almost as if she were explaining to a class. "A-also, if t-this were r-real; why w-wouldn'tve someone l-like Mariko h-have known a-about it...?" She said. turning her head to look at Mariko. "Less real then other forms of chakra, but occasionally more deadly then a blade to your throat. It can mimic sensations, ranging from warmth to pain. But it's only as real as you let it be, and nothing more. Just remember, no matter how real it seems, question it. Even if that seems crazy, or pointless. In the world of Shinobi, you're never truly safe..." Ishiba said, near-perfectly mimicking an older womans voice. "I-is how m-my mom d-described Genjutsu..." She said, her voice having returned to normal. Ishiba looked back to Lahlil, almost with a look of confidence on her face. Almost.
Ishiba is a small young girl, with a suprisingly lithe frame. Her hair is raven black, and reaches past her shoulders; in a completely straight and dignified manner. Her eyes are emerald green, and shine with hope. Her voice is soft and small, but still somehow carries rather well.

tabMariko's display was enough to bring to tears to even the most seasoned hardcase, or maybe that was just Lahlil's sympathetic nature. But really there was no way she could call herself Hokage if she wasn't already prepared for this possible outcome. Reaching outside of her illusion Lahlil pulled one of the platters that she asked to have prepared before her arrival, it's large wooden surface was covered in a number of treats to serve every kind of taste bud. Chief among them were a few assortments of Dango, including Mitarashi, that the snack platter had been made artisanal designed around. A good Kage is one that pays attention when her people talk. Setting the plate down so that the little ones would be able to reach it, the instant aroma it created would be more than enough to mark the food as real and not illusionary. "Now that is very well said Ishiba! Now I'm sure you already know but just in case you don't, there are two ways to release a genjutsu on yourself. The first being the kai release technique which we are going to practice right now, and the second is... well pain. If can help it I wouldn't suggest using that method however, so let's just start with the first! Do both of you remember the handseals for the jutsu? Instance genjutsu are not affected by an increase of duration but instead cannot be dispelled by kai and only by pain. Genjutsu upkeep lessens by [5] Chakra per body rank and non-Instant are applied with overwhelming, requiring lingering genjutsu to use [1.5x] the resource to Kai.
____✦ Interweaving Fairytales _✧ Because the Sakkakugan is so adept at weaving genjutsu together they are afforded a unique version of self korabo which is done in place of a normal korabo between two illusions. When more than one genjutsu is on the target their ranks are shifted so that the lower ranked genjutsus get their strength bumped up to highest ranked genjutsu on the target for the rest of it's duration. This is only useable up to the users self ranked korabo level and each genjutsu is still treated as separate when interacting with kai. Any upkeeps are also increased to reflect this change.
____✦ Otherwordly Imagery _✧ Genjutsu performed cannot be mimicked or reversed by any means. ( Genjutsu can still be broken, however. )
____✦ Lock-down _✧ Sealing techniques are considered overwhelming when in collision with other techniques of the same rank. In addition, the user's summoned creatures are able to use any ninjutsu the user has access to that they share an element for.

Luckily Ishiba managed to catch on to the illusion much faster than Mariko, who in her current emotional state would have continued to let the illusion consume her. She wasn't sure what this Genjutsu was that Ishiba mentioned, but if it made candy taste like nothing, then she already wasn't a big fan. There was this odd shift in Ishiba's vibe that Mariko felt when she locked eyes with her - a vibe she felt once before at the Academy - almost as if she was listening to a completely different person. The knowledge imparted to the little girl would ingrain itself into her brain. From the sound of it, Genjutsu had the potential to be far more psychologically damaging than tasteless candy... depending on who it is affecting.
Lahlil further confirmed that the candy utopia was indeed a Genjutsu, suggesting two methods of dispelling it. "Oh, yea. It's the same hand seal as controlling your chakra, right? Like this?" Her tone was far calmer than normal, and somewhat gloomy, still processing all that she had just experienced. She'd clasp her hands together, while recalling her training with chakra control earlier to override the Genjutsu. Once dispelled, she turned to the platter of an assortment of candies. She looked to Lahlil skeptically, yet she could not deny the delicious aroma emanating from the tempting desserts. Mariko reached for a single piece of Dango, which was pretty out of the normal for her, taking a single bite and returning to Ishiba's side.
Ishiba watched on, keeping a relatively consistent gaze on Mariko; only occasionally looking at Lahlil. Hmm... I'm not so sure about my skill in anything related to Genjutsu... but I guess it is worth a try, at least. Though her thoughts may, or may not, have been visible on her face, that mix of mild worry and doubt, it defintely occupied her mind. Though she wasn't going to let something like that get in her way, Just because the water flows a little funny, doesn't mean it isn't flowing. her mother told her, as she watched a river with all it's eddies and currents. Thinking back to it, her mother may have known way more about her then she first thought. But Ishiba let the memories fade out, focusing her attention on the matter at hand. "R-right...!" She muttered to herself as she slowly brought her hands up infront of herself. Just... flow... she thought, as she focused her chakra into her hands. Slowly, but surely, the chakra gathered; building up to the point that it slowly enveloped her hands. And... release! She thought, and then moved her hands suddenly in a forward motion; spraying everything infront of her in water. Which, in part, included Lahlil and a nearby stand. The stand, unlike Lahlil, began to seemingly melt; slowly being drained of it's color and form until it dissolved completely into thin air.
Ishiba paused, looking on at what she had just done with a mixture of shock and triumph. She then noticed she nearly drenched Lahlil, and quickling began muttering apologies while she herself started shaking again. "S-s-s-sorry!" She blurted out, clearly this time. "T-t-that w-was o-o-on a-acciddent..." She said, gesturing shakily at the whole area infront of her. "I-I-I c-certainly d-didn't m-mean t-to s-spray y-you..." She quickly stammered out.
OOC:Also: EEK! Didn't mean to "hold out" for so long; life just kept... kinda happening. Also, I'm not even sure if Kai is supposed to have any particular descriptors with it, more then the whole genjustu kinda just... fading out. So, I took some "creative liberty" and just went for it. So, uh, sorry if I'm not meant to do that with Kai. >.<
