The police station is the heart of the Leaf's law enforcement who strive to ensure the public's safety, health, order, and prevent crime and disorder. This group is composed of ninja and dedicated villagers without exceptional skills ninjutsu but all with the same heart and determination to focus on the village.
Occasionally, the police department has been known to offer work for eager genin, chunin, and even the elite class of ninja in the regular ranks, among the village to supplement their own forces. The Leaf's Police force works closely with ninja. An inquiry for work is as easy as speaking with an officer minding the front desk or chancing a conversation with the Police Commissioner!
The police station features interrogation facilities for the average criminal to the specialty vaults for more dangerous suspects before they can be handed over to different groups (such as special operatives and hunter ninja).

Esuka appeared in front of the police station just as suma was beginning to stir a bit. "Hey what are you?" His words were quiet and weak but still esuka didn't want to hear anymore of the mans talk. "Shut up." He didn't raise his voice but his words were cold as ice towards suma as he walked up the stairs to the station. As he entered he leaned the man up against the desk as an officer took hold of him. "So what exactly do we have here?" Even though his dad was part of the police force he didn't know the officer which spoke to them now.
However esuka told the officer the entire story including the boys and how suma had used them to steal things from the bazaar. Once his story was finished he thanked the officer for his time and walked out of the station. Content he had played his part he still mulled over the mans words. Perhaps there was corruption amongst those who were supposed to keep peace within the village. The thought itself made him uneasy as he tugged at his shirt. He wouldn't stand for injustice regardless of who or what was causing it. Esuka nodded to himself in resolve as he headed out towards the bazaar once more to speak with the lady whom had assigned him the job.

Her route from Karuto's dojo began. Sadayo first needed confirmation the Police force was handling their own and making the appropriate strides amidst this questionable time. Don't stretch so thin that responding to incidents would be a problem! Doubling down on curfew, outside emergencies, and following the standard flow of time was necessary so long as the Hokage was insistent on the exams going.
She also expressed how lighting the village through nearly any-means was becoming an essential role for all residents to answer as well as they could. There will be no panicking just urgency to make things right. Fortunately, Sadayo's avid Assistant (who plainly ran the whole headquarters in her stead) in the Police headquarters was proving to have a handle on the situation and took her orders forward. This precarious event naturally leads the Assistant to the assumption Sadayo had business to put forth with JUEI. As police chief, Sadayo's orders came justly. The village wasn't going to collapse on its self from the interior.

After leaving the dojo, Michi wandered around the village and couldn't figure out what the heck was going on, the sky was dark and the sun no where to be seen. He'd been in the muscle mansion for a while, but not that long, so it shouldn't be so dark out. Also, it's not like the darkness was the only cause for concern, Michi could see the worried look on people's faces, and he could feel the tension in the air, and this just didn't sit well with Michi. He realized he'd ended up on the same street as Konoha's police station, and although police work wasn't something Michi expected to do with his life, maybe he could help out somehow and made his way into the building.
Once he entered the building, Michi glanced around and walked up to the front desk while saying, "I've noticed things have gotten pretty hectic in town, I may only be a genin, but I want to do my part to help out." Michi ran his hand through the shaggy mop of hair on his head, revealing the partially covered Konoha headband underneath.
A police cadet lit up by lantern light was the first to meet Michi. A young man with a light dangling above his head was passing out lit lanterns, being handed to him from other officers, to a small crowd. "Your assistance would be well appreciated," he casts a cursory glance to Michi between handing off a lamp and pole to a woman, "please be safe out there!" The lamp above the cadet's head bobbled to give a glint of metal on Michi's person. The flicker from Michi's hetai-ate caught the cadet's eye, "Ah? Genin. Ninja are you? Your help would be exceptional then. Could I trouble you with a task?"He nods to another gracious civilian before returning to the boy, "of course. Be safe!" "Now then. The Commissioner has asked everyone able to keep the city lit for as long as we can. We can only hope the Lady Hokage is looking into this unusual phenomenon. Excuse me." The cadet then called over to another officer with a request for more lanterns. Several unlit festival lanterns , about fifteen all together, with frilly tassels and bright patterns on sturdy poles swayed with the motions of the second officer's approach. Bags upon bags of tea candles slung over shoulder was apparently all the Police department leftover. The second officer joined up beside the cadet, "Jin, this should supplement a several blocks in the residential district." The officer then turned to Michi. "Young man, please stay safe out there. If you see anything suspicious during this time do not hesitate to report it." "Precisely,"the cadet was quick to agree. "We need all the light we can get to give a sense of security to the village again. Darkness doesn't mean give a freepass to looters. Would you be willing to place these," Cadet Jin paused as he pointed to the lantern poles,"and place them around the village? Space them out, of course, so that there's enough light in the streets."
"Alley ways. Street corners. These are pretty sturdy since they already have bases but they'll plant them in the ground if need be. Try to avoid flammable locations in case the wind picks up."
" I apologize ahead for the hassle of carrying so many. We have our own flashlights and this darkness came on so quickly. We had to send someone out to see about supplying flashlights to everyone instead."

Michi thought over what Jin and the officer had told him, and decided that he should try taking 5 lamps to the first location, as well as stuff his pockets with tea candles. Michi would be more then just disappointed in himself if he couldn't handle some petty vandalism or something, so he wasn't too worried about being able to prevent things from going south. But then there was a fatal flaw in this plan, "How do I light these things?" Michi thought to himself as picked up a tea candle and examined it. He then called out, "Hey, does anybody have a lighter? I can probably set these things off myself, but I might blow up the candles in the process." The only ninjutsu he had in mind was for zapping ne'er-do-wells and not lighting candles. A little ways off, he heard someone call back, "Here yah go" and a disposable lighter was tossed in Michi's direction, he managed to just snatch it out of the air. "Thanks!", and with that, Michi pocketed the lighter, as well as several tea candles, then with a grunt, he managed to pick 5 lamps and made his way out of the police station, heading in the direction of the cemetery.

Kai poured the sugar pills onto the ground, stomping on the blue capsules until he was looking at a pile of sugar. He pocketed the orange pill bottle and stuffed his hands in his pockets. He had escaped the prison of his desk in the PD for a lunch break, but he had to investigate when he overheard the third person this week complain about their medicine's sudden inefficacy. It paid, apparently, to favor a sandwich shop just beside a pharmacy. He had found dozens of sugar-pill bottles, though the pharmacist's willingness to share the goods without a warrant was, perhaps, a little worrying of its own. He hadn't even flashed a badge, and neither his medical reputation nor his position as chief were far-reaching enough for that to have contributed. It was negligence, but he would have to work on that later.
In twelve out of twelve sugar pill bottles, the sugar pill replaced some kind of opioid. Opioids were the most dangerous drug, and not just because of how they claimed Taurin's life. "Kai is in control," he muttered under his breath. He was okay with Taurin's loss. He was okay to deal with toxins and medicine. He was okay. He took a breath. "If only three pharmacists work here, but it's overseen by the hospital, we'll have to see if the medicine gets lost there. If it's still good there, then it's the transport that's swapping them out. But if the hospital is getting dirty pills... geez." He worked it out under his breath, hands aching at just the thought of writing any of his notes down. He was so exhausted from paperwork; his hands were going to fall off if he had to write one more report. No, he was going to see this one through on his own.
No, not on his own. This could tie into the ninja leaving codes out on the outskirts of patrol. He should reach out. It took a little work, but he found one of the bats that he was certain the Oinin used for communication. The alternative was that he was losing his mind and speaking to some random bat, but the location in a different alley seemed too strategic to be a natural animal. It received too much day-traffic for the average nocturnal creature to want to sleep here. "Hey," he stage-whispered to the bat, hoping he wasn't a lunatic. "Tell Miss Piercings that I've got a potential lead on her outskirts case. I'm gonna go investigate at the hospital. She doesn't have to meet me there or anything; I just wanted to keep her updated. I've got a gut feeling that this might, uh, be a symptom of corruption." He didn't share that drug paraphernalia was the most common piece of missing evidence. It didn't feel like something he could speak aloud, at least not to a potentially normal bat.

Even if Sadayo hadn’t given the direction, there was little question to the escort team where they were going. The cat prison was suspended by Sadayo’s strings just a few inches above the ground with four jounin minding its sides. What exactly was the right way to do this? Parade the captive through the streets? Rush the captive to the police station? At the very least, a fast paced display of the captive- being hauled through the streets- in his confines showed progress and that the village’s leader was actively doing something in light of the alarming turn of events. A whole building fell for goodness sake! In short, the outcome of an arrest could have been enough to stir an alluring sense of victory for some. Perhaps a warning for others? Onlooking villagers at the sidelines murmuring amongst themselves as the captive escort passed: [bp"What do you think happened?!" "Did they catch whoever destroyed the Hokage’s tower?" "I hope nobody got hurt…" The comments carried on among the bevies of gossiping women and men pausing their business to gawk. “I bet they’ve caught one of those Jashinists freaks! Who else would be causing trouble right now?” "Look! Is that cat thing one of the Hokage’s puppets?" "I wonder who's inside."
Maybe, if she were a different person, Sadayo wouldn’t be overlooking their observations and irate remarks with stone cold severity steadily face forward (seriousness). Would joining in strike a connection? She imagined her influence of joining in on the ugly banter would only backfire.
At this rate, they were about two blocks from the police station. The anticipation was beginning to “We’re almost there,” She was saying aloud what may as well have been obvious to her jounin. Something that might have been comforting, to say the least, and Sadayo withheld speaking again until bystanders were behind them. Her volume was low as if to hide the tension of an escort- wary of impromtpu jailbreak attempts by missing like minded criminals being on the loose- with casual conversation. Tone was anything but casual. “Don't drop your guard for a second, her instruction was sharp. “You'll never know if this is the last we’ll see of them.” How does one not create alarm? “Have you ever attended an interrogation? I'd like to ask, walking in blindly, if you had any expectations about what it is you're about to witness?”

Shikarie tailed behind the Hokage and her iron cat. She really didn't think anything of it at first and just mindlessly followed the group. Her mind a blank and her hands in the pockets of her jacket as she walked. Not paying to much mind to anything at all. That was, until she started seeing the faces of the villages as they walked by. A bit confused she didn't get why everyone was whispering and staring as they walked by. Eyes glancing back to the Hokage and the iron cat she thing connected the dots."Ah geez...." She complained to herself. Not at the fact that they were drawing attention to a captive inside of the iron cat but just at the fact that people were staring at her and whispering. You see, Shikarie wasn't one that liked getting the attention of others. She would much rather fly under the radar."I guess I shouldn't be surprised. She IS the Hokage." She moaned once more.
Getting to the police station couldn't come soon enough for Shikarie. The Hokage started to speak once they had gotten more privacy from the preying eyes of the villagers. Lady Hokage and warned them to remain vigilant and to not lower their guards. After all, this captive was strong enough to be pinned up against the Hokage herself so the captive most be very skilled. Sadayo then turned her attention directly to Shikarie to get a feel of her experience. Taking her hands out of her jacket pockets Shikarie attempted to look more professional, though it didn't really help given her entire body language stayed the same."No, can't say that I have." She responded. "I understand that they are a high level threat to the village and will be treated as such Lady Hokage." Shikarie knew this was going to be intense but to the exact level and what exactly they would be doing is unclear. This is her first time after all.
