While carved out of the landscape, nature still attempts to overtake the roads that lead to and from the village and that are nearer to Takijinsei. Moving away from the village, the vegetation becomes less dense and becomes more plain like. This road is the only path that leads to the village gates.

Adrielle walked though the grassy plains of the Land of Fire, she stared at a map that she bought from one of her girls to guide her though the countryside. Though the idea of joining a village again after feeling the freedom of doing whatever she wanted was daunting. She looked over her map and the notes that were written, Uzugakure was recently destroyed and Neo-Konohagakure was recently restored. She looked at the map and the distance; sighing to herself she continued. She weighted her decision to join as she walked along... but she knew that this was for the best.

Jyn's face still burned as they left the village far behind. They were not much of a liar, and their unconvincing performance in the Hokage's office probably revealed as much to the guest that Lahlil was keeping the information from. Jyn thumbed the paper underneath their sleeve, not wanting something out and about for an outsider to see but not wanting to release it, as if this mission would no longer be real if the request was intangible.
They were not extremely familiar with the sannin they were searching for, either, but they were unwilling to bring someone along. Working in a team... it wasn't like Jyn hated others, but if they could do it on their own, it seemed wasteful to take someone's time like that.
They shook their head to clear their thoughts as they headed to the town they were ordered towards. It was time to prove they were reliable after the mishaps of the previous mission.

Clear of New Velares and on the way to one of the hidden villages, Takeda walked out in the open on the road towards Konoha. While he preferred back roads and paths where he couldn't be seen, the last thing he needed was a group of Konoha shinobi investigating him for being suspicious. It was already enough that he was a hooded individual walking alone, but he didn't have any weapons on him and the torn travel coat didn't exactly instill fear or intimidation in others.
Konoha was an interesting choice. He could have just set up in Giman, but Takeda was someone who preferred the order that came with a village despite his upbringing. If he wasn't going to be alone, he'd rather not be in a place where everyone turns a blind eye. That didn't mean he wanted to be a Shinobi for the leaf village, though. He'd do mercenary work if the kage allowed it until he had the ryo to buy himself new equipment. Of course, he wouldn't leave until he was fully recovered too. Ideally he'd come across a heart or two in order to replenish himself along the way. They were a bit scrambled, but to say that he didn't have plans would be incorrect. His ultimate goal would be to find a purpose, but he didn't expect that to happen so soon.
He didn't know how many miles he'd walked after leaving Velares, but the village still wasn't in sight. Signs and some structures along the way were doing their part in leading him down the right path, but there was still quite a bit of ground left to cover. The jiongu was just pondering on the thought of setting up camp when he caught movement from the corner of his eye. He was being watched. It was only to be expected really. Not only was he travelling alone, he also didn't look particularly strong. No weapons either. Guess I didn't consider that I'd be a highwayman's wet dream.
Oh well. He knew how the song and dance typically played out. Good guy minds his own business. Bad guy attacks and good guy beats him up. It was terribly cliche and something he'd experienced plenty of times, but he didn't want to waste time with it. Especially not when he was still in a weakened state. Deciding to expedite his arrival at the gates, he used a technique that he hadn't touched in years to disappear in a high speed movement, leaving naught but a cloud of dust behind. ▰ Body Flicker Technique [ Shunshin no Jutsu ] Learned

Takeda's appearance isn't very discernible at the moment. He's wearing a dark brown travel cloak with some tears at the side and a hood attached that's currently covering his head. Even face to face with him, not much could be seen except for the lower half of his face along with his black and white bangs. Other than that, the hint of a white shirt can be seen occasionally depending on the position of his cloak. He wears black pants and boots, but otherwise doesn't seem to be carrying any sort of weapons on him.

Kimiko walked with her boyfriend Akio in a leisurely stroll towards Konohagakure. She'd never been but it was important for her to go sight-seeing her with lovely man every once and a while. And if she showed him off a little, who cared?
When the two arrived in the land of fire, Selina took a second to pause. The land was foreign to her, as most land was from being an Arashi citizen for so long. In addition, her presence could cause some political tension if she and Obei were discovered sneaking around. It was for that reason she turned to Obei and took a breath. "Alright. I'm going to use my sensory power to detect where the presence is, as well as where any possible Konoha ninja may be." She said cheerfully. A few hand seals were strung together with Selina's two hands before they concluded on the bird seal. Selina's hair flickered with power as her eyes closed so that her third eye could take everything in. What she saw with her chakra sensory greatly concerned her. "Everything here is... dark." She said concerned. Selina was a top tier sensor, as evidenced by her being able to track down Sandayu the moment he arrived. For an entire country to be down to her range of vision was something she would have thought impossible. "This is bad. I can't sense any beast or any ninja further than thirty feet away." She said astonished. With her failed jutsu Selina opened her eyes and took a breath. "Well, on the bright side it should mean that Konoha ninja won't be able to track us either." She said with a smirk. Selina then started to poke indiscriminately at the area around her. "It's a guessing game of where to go next. What's your bet Obei?" She asked her dear friend.

Now that they were in Konoha territory, Obei would feel something swell in her chest. It was a terrible feeling. Like something constricting around her throat and preventing her from breathing. A pit formed underneath her belly as the pale lady would sometimes let out a pained huff. What was this feeling deep inside of her? She wanted it to stop. Selina would use her sensory abilities to attempt to track the monster as Obei nodded. "Obei keep watch." She stood over Selina while she worked her magic. The air was silent around them while Obei would cross her arms. It took a few minutes while Obei wrestled with the thoughts in her head. Her eyes soon fell on Selina's pulsing hair as she would scoot a bit closer. Her presence always brought peace of mind to the oni, turning her head around to keep from interrupting the sanin. Once the sensory work was done, Selina looked frustrated while Obei listened. Could the beast be hiding itself skillfully enough to evade her senses? Such a trick surely couldn't be possible of an animal. Obei's lips were pursed. This would be increasingly more difficult than she had thought it would be.
"Suh-Lee-Nuh." Obei's hand fell on Selina's arm, gently grasping it. "We find yokai. No worry. Obei help." She didn't have much of an ability for tracking, but she had a knack for making things cold fairly quickly. "Maybe we split? Obei go and Suh-Lee-Nuh go. Cover more ground. If find anything, we signal other. It dangerous. Obei no let Suh-Lee-Nuh go alone unless want."

Selina's powers of empathy pulled her out of her own stunt when she felt the torment within Obei. The woman turned to her and rested her hands gently on her arm, her fingers gently sliding over the pink headband on Obei's shoulder. "I think we should stick together. I could get a little afraid if we go alone." She said with a wide smile. "And there's no way I'll be afraid with my best friend." While she knew the pain Obei felt within her, she didn't want to make her feel embarrassed or ashamed to feel what she had within her. Instead, Selina would just be there to ride the wave she felt, and help her realize who she is now, versus who she was before. With her idol like cheerfulness she raised one of her arms and pointed in a direction. "We will start there first!" She demanded. Selina moved forward toward the direction she just pointed. She followed this by holding onto Obei's hand to help bring her along with her. Assuming her delicate friend did not fight back, the two would move forward into the forest.

Obei blinked as Selina's hand fell on the pink headband of Arashigakure, located on the oni's left shoulder. It was worn from its use, but Obei stilled kept and treasured it to this day. Her plan was cast aside without a doubt, the woman concerned of how her friend would be afraid if she were to go alone. How could she be so foolish. Obei's hands went around her, the oni wearing a serious face. "Obei protect Suh-Lee-Nuh. No be afraid." After a small squeeze, she would let go of Selina but not after a look of longing. She was holding something back, though Obei was still incredibly clueless as to what exactly it could be. "Obei like when Suh-Lee-Nuh near. Make Obei happy. Very happy." Her smaller companion hopped to work, dragging Obei along deeper into the forests of the fire country. Along the way, Obei would manage to get a hang on the ground and pace along behind Selina. The beast still wasn't nearby, Obei furrowing her brows in frustration. Perhaps the forest would prove better results?

Fuku had stopped for a rest, off the main road. They'd been running since they left the Capitol of the Land of Iron. There was a small rock wall, and they were sitting atop it, leaning back. They moved to take a sip from her canteen, armor clinking with her movements. Though, she'd freeze, hearing voices coming near. Before Fuku'd realize they'd be confronting an Oni and a smaller lass with pink hair.
"Greetings, I don't believe I've seen an Oni in quite some time. I am Fuku Ryoichi, Emissary for the Raiu Clan of the Land of Iron." The samurai gave them a gentle smile. "I do hope the two of you are fighters, a hint of Yokai lingers in the air." Fuku waited for a response, they were more than happy to let the two go on ahead, but so far the Samurai's boredom was getting the better of themself.

Sumika kept Vogel impossibly high up as she traveled through the Land of Fire, not particularly keen on running into anyone, but especially not that damn Hokage. At least not before her task was complete. The owls wings flapped but a few times and she was off again out into the world. [ Enter / Exit ]
▱▰▱The Sun was setting by the time the officers reached the ground level and as Kenshin marched onward while using his tenseigan to try to locate Selina the dark of night had shrouded the group. Once he was able to located her he allowed his ever-expansive gaze to instead focus on his squad and the surrounding area. As he walked, he stood between Ada on his left and Kojiro on his right with Zeshin, Vala, and Yarugi following behind them. Kenshin's eyes were a much more expressive glowing dark blue than his usual white eyes. He looked up toward the sky and used his complete ocular viewing to get a brilliant look at the stars. As they walked down the Land of Fire's roads, the night sky was beautifully illuminated with the dark blue light of the stars. Ada and Kojiro would be able to see that Kenshin was visibly less tense compared to how he was in the office. The sannin did his best to put Toso out of his mind now that their business regarding the Antioch case was concluded. Now that he knew that Selina was not in Antioch's grasp and that there were no threats around the group he was able to meditate. The walk, for the most part, was quiet if not a little hurried as well but Kenshin began slowing down to conserve energy. "The Land of Fire's sky seems much less polluted than the Lightning Country. I suppose that's the price of rapid industrialization and fewer trees. You can see so many constellations." Kenshin spoke as he looked upward and used his tenseigan's sight to fully absorb every detail. "It reminds me of..." Kenshin stopped speaking as if stammering before breathing in and resuming with an exhale. Difficult memories were resurfacing that would normally enrage him but with his tenseigan enlightenment, sage training, and Reiken no Michi mastery he had learned to control this feeling. "Gimangakure. I remember looking up at the clear sky from barred windows every night. I admired them, these natural beacons of light that pierce the darkness and keep watch over us in the night. I had no one else worthy enough to look up to so I personified the stars themselves as sentinels. Now I've learned that the natural order itself is of Evergreen's creation. As long as we act in accordance with nature then perfect order can be sustained. Maybe the police force acts as the stars do...in a sense." Kenshin felt a pang of regret as he spoke of his past. He was unsure if Ada and Kojiro knew the whole story. He wanted to pass the traveling time discussing philosophies and such that he meditated about. Usually, he would keep silent about such thoughts but he felt comfortable enough with Ada and Kojiro to express more of his humanity. Kenshin continued walking as they reached the halfway point toward the Golden Light Forests where Selina was. He lowered his face and looked at both Kojiro and Ada with each turn of his head as he continued talking. "I was born in Gimangakure Prison, in case you didn't know. My father was a rogue Hyuuga from Kumogakure so when I was older I left and traveled there. His family allowed me into Kumogakure's gates but didn't want anything to do with me otherwise so I changed my last name." It was a strange feeling for him to talk about himself so much. For years he avoided even mentioning these details out of shame but he supposed now it would not hurt. He spoke loud enough that Zeshin and Ada's subordinates could hear him or easily tune him out if they wanted to. He was unsure where his conversation with Ada and Kojiro would lead but he hoped that it would at least help them pass the time.

Nuibari Attributes • Infinite Needles | While Nuibari functions perfectly fine as a long, thin blade that sits between a Jian and a Foil. It's comprised of infinite, instantly replenishing needles. If an opponent is stabbed, the blade will leave several needles inside of the opponent. It also never runs out of string either, with one at the base of the weapon, and one attached to each needle. Similarly, unhindered, the weapon always comes back when thrown for the techniques below, and can be pulled to the user free of activation via its wire so long as the nigh-invisible string is not cut. • Thread the Needle | This skill increases the speed of the wielder moderately while Nuibari is wielded.
Discipline & Cross Class Attributes • Expert: Rapier | The user has achieved a sense of mastery and focus unlike others and are known as an Expert, a dedicated focus over a weapon they use to near perfection. The shinobi can pick a single weapon, or two if dual wielding, to apply this focus toward with examples such as Katana, Spear, Bows or even Dual Daggers. The user is able to cast ninjutsu from their weapon without the use of hand signs by making any flourish or deliberate movement to cast the technique in the direction the weapon is commanded. This requires the same amount of time as the forming of hand signs to cast ninjutsu. They are also able to Korabo 1 ninjutsu and 1 bukijutsu together with varying cool downs for a single activation. In addition, these masters of their arts are able to have a 1 point increase in their stats cap of 8 making it 9. This means that strikes involving the blade cause physical damage including stab wounds as well as seal tenketsu points and any other effects of the technique used through the sword. An additional 5 chakra can be applied to the blade to prevent it from causing physical damage from thrusting but instead seal tenketsu points and inflict pain similar to a stab wound in the area struck but slashing attacks can still cause damage. Half the resource cost of techniques from the rapier style of Sen Gekiretsu Nagareboshi applied allows the technique to carry the tenketsu sealing effects of a same-rank palm strike such as a B-Rank carrying 64 Palms effects. Getsuruito must be in its rapier form to use this ability and 5 chakra can be spent upon activation of this technique to transform it as such. The Righteous Sword of the Sentinel technique has a 10 post duration before necessitating re-activation and costs an E-Rank amount of chakra. The initial activation of this technique consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not.
Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.

As the group continued to walk, no one responded to him. He didn't mind it so much at all. It was probably none of his business, but the feeling of what he witnessed didn't sit well within his mind. For now, he'd keep that buried deep down. Zeshin didn't need the distraction right now and he did not need to be unbalanced as they roamed from one land to the next. There wasn't much to do on the walk, especially with the captain mumbling up ahead to the two following close to him. He simply adjusted his uniform as they made their way deeper into the land of fire and walked without speaking again. He was interested in what was to become of the people he had heard the names of yet didn't know. Their fate was like an empty vase falling from a shelf without anyone around to catch it.
