"You...you're the best thing I got." Akaran spoke with an almost wry smile. As with Akihiko's words, it felt almost like an admission. An admission that he was bending to Akihiko's steadily waxing sweet sincerity just as Akihiko was doing for him. The stupid and stubborn oni found that he was unable to tease Akihiko while he was in this moment of blissful vulnerability. He may have been tempted to just to get to call Aki mushy and make fun of him as he had done for Akaran many times but Aka was far too grateful for that. Akaran nodded and huffed when Akihiko mentioned doing nice jobs. "What kinda nice jobs? Helping people?" Akaran relished every opportunity he could take to make a difference. It was stupid, but Akihiko felt weak in his knees with the relief he felt over Akaran acting like this - like they - were normal. He'd stressed for nothing. Akihiko laughed as the weight left his chest, breathing easier and embracing the new flush across his cheeks. He purposefully bumped into Akaran as they walked, reminiscent of how Akaran liked to wrestle and touch. "Even the 'bad' jobs help people; they just help people you don't care much for. But yes. We can help people. There are plenty of bulletin boards in every town, for the most part, where work is aplenty. Sometimes there's word of mouth, or straight up networks -- which I'm connected to, but, again, you won't care much for that work."
As much as the duo had taken down in terms of human trafficking when it came to the Yamaokas, Akihiko knew he'd helped human traffickers in the past in equal amounts. That was the nature of mercenary work, but Akaran wasn't prepared for that reality. Akihiko shrugged, trying to transition away from his past, since Akaran wouldn't care for it. "It's not always glory and heroism, but we can do 'good,' since I know that makes you weak in the knees," Akihiko teased good-naturedly.

▱▰▱Akaran allowed himself to get knocked off balance a little by Akihiko bumping into him accidentally on purpose. He was put at ease by Akihiko's laughter added some relieving levity. For once it seemed that Aki was actually receptive to the cheesy romanticism that Aka was always game for. Akaran steadily shook his head through the mercenary's explanations of the work. "Helping bad people hurt people isn't really helping at all because it makes the world worse." He spoke frankly as they approached the outskirts of the River Country. Yet, he was further relieved by Akihiko acknowledging that they were going to do good. "As long as it's good I'm fine." Akaran revealed with humility. He wanted to show that he was not as obsessed with playing the hero as Akihiko had portrayed him as in the past. Akaran then became more serious as he spoke up with another question. "Are you only doing the good jobs because I'm here?" He paused briefly after asking the question that had been weighing on his shoulders for a long time. Akaran sighed before finding the words to continue. "Because I don't want that. I want you to do the right things because that's who you are. Not just to make me happy. You're a good person and anything else would be beneath you." Akaran offered kind reassurance as he did not want it to sound like he was lecturing Akihiko. He did not believe that Akihiko would go back to his old ways if he did not come to work with him. He had faith that Akihiko was more willing to let his work reflect who he actually was as a person and not the image he was pretending to be. What he wanted was for Akihiko to recognize the reason that he was making this change. Akaran was touched that he was doing it because he loves him but he wanted Akihiko thinking beyond that.

Cam took her time perusing the docks in search of a boat. Noticeably lacking a headband in contrast to her partner. It made for a more convincing story if she had hired a shinobi for protection on her travels. She settled on a shipping vessel heading near to their destination and talked the captain into letting them tag along.

Roku silently followed along the person that was his partner. It didn't really seem like Cam was too interested in speaking. Which was fine for Roku considering he wasn't much of a talker himself. This would only continue as he got on the boat with Cam and set sail.

Though it's unclear where she came from, one could now easily spot the young-looking girl with her bright-pink hair and her similarly colored eyes skipping down the road. Humming as she goes, to the untrained eye she'd look like nothing but an ordinary girl; at least, until they noticed the brightly colored and garishly accessorized mallet hidden only barely underneath her hair. The mallet itself, however, wouldn't entirely give everything away; not until she brought it out, and gave the ground a good whack. A ripple of energy burst through the ground, and the girl was sent flying ten-or-so feet into the air. She promptly landed, and dusted herself off, then staring at her mallet with a triumphant look on her face.

Getting off the cart Naoki started to walk off. Her great sword sealed away. The Uchiha seemed unarmed. Lair's brand placed on her she'd also seem insignificant combat wise. I don't know who these Uchiha's are, but by the way she's making it sound they're important; not that I really care... Hmm...* She was a bit lost in thought, and after a moment she jumped down from the rock. "Well! I was surely not expecting to meet someone out here, but that's perfectly fine~" Alicia cheerily said, smiling broadly. "However, I must admit a few things: To start with, my parents are dead; by my own hand, of course~" She'd pause a moment watching for her reaction, though she was still smiling broadly. "Second: I myself am not especially familiar with the region either, though my teachers used to say that I could never get lost~" Alicia said, twirling her garishly accessorized and brightly colored mallet in her right hand behind her. "And third: There's a river nearby that's fed by snow-melt from the mountains way way north~" She said, indicating a small path that lead off the main road and down the hill. As Alicia had said, there is in fact a river there.
Alicia tilted her head to the side, as if trying to remember something; and then, all of a sudden, she jumped a few inches in the air with a "Ah-ha!". "I completely forgot to introduce myself!" She said, and then paused a very short moment where her entire aura changed. With a slight curtsy, she spoke in a very dignified voice. ▱▰▱Akaran let go of Akihiko's hand as they went up the northern route through the Land of Fire. They entered the fire mountain range from the Fire Country border side. They walked up the massive and warm mountain wedged between the Iron and Fire countries. They went to the fire mountain clan tribe and found it completely empty. He tore through his mother's hut and could not find a trace of her or any indication of where she went. "Damn it, damn it, damn it! The only way we'll find her is if we go to the shogun's castle and figure out what the Hell is going on." Akaran was completely incensed about what this big mystery was.

It was no mild relief to find that his mother wasn't home -- primarily because Akihiko had expected to see a violent scene, since there were beasts on the loose, though he also knew so little about her that he couldn't be confident she'd like Akihiko at all for her son. "Guess we're heading to the shogun, then," Akihiko ghosted a hand over his blade's hilt as he said it, sure they'd be facing many talented samurai who were defending the shogun.

Toki could not help but feel nostalgic as he arrived at the land of roads. The last time he was here was when he, along with all of the other residents of Uzushiogakure, were forced to flee and find shelter anywhere. At first he felt despair, but through the love and teachings of Zelel he found the strength to move forward. Now that he was back on the roads, he knew that he had to use his newly found abilities to scan for the rogues. To do this he used his trusted and familiar technique of closing his right eye with his left hand and then looking around with his sensory technique. First he checked the immediate area, followed by the entirety of the land of fire. Nothing. It was like the group disappeared into thin air. He could they have possibly escaped that fast? Not even his body flicker moved at that speed. Regardless, he gave a sigh as he dismissed his ability. He he looked up at the wide sky and wondered what all of this even really meant.

Instead of calling these weapons back to the user, they are able to be manipulated by the chakra threads they are attached to in a similar manner to puppet strings.The chakra threads attached to the weapons remain active for three posts and techniques can be executed from the Manipulating Line technique as though thrown by the user if desired. ▱▰▱ Collaboration [ Korabo ] | Rank X | Passive technique allows the user to combine two techniques together in order to create a single, stronger technique. Both activations of the lesser techniques must be paid along with their original cost from the person casting the technique. If the techniques combining originate from separate individuals, both individuals must have this technique and be able to use techniques equal to their partner's body rank. Two techniques of equal rank fused will become a technique of power one rank higher. So two B-ranked techniques fuse to make one A-ranked technique. Furthermore, two techniques separated by one rank in power will take the rank power of the higher rank, but will eliminate any potential weaknesses of the two techniques, and give the fusion the property of overwhelming. So if a B-ranked an a C-ranked technique were fused through the use of Korabo, then the technique would be B-ranked power with the property of overwhelming to techniques of the same rank. Finally, the rules for what techniques can be fused are as followed. The first rule is that the two techniques need to fulfill the same general purpose. For example, two projectile techniques can be fused together through the use of Korabo. However, an elemental shield and projectile technique cannot be fused together. Second of all, if two techniques of the same elemental property, or the same technique performed twice, are fused then the two techniques maintain their elemental strength and weaknesses. If two techniques with differing elements are fused, then the fusion loses all elemental strength and weaknesses. Finally, techniques can only be fused of different elements so long as they are complimentary elements, aka elements which have no elemental strength or weakness against each other. The only exception is if you fuse a technique with one of one rank higher, and the technique of one rank higher is of a weaker elemental property than the element which is stronger. An example is if you wanted to fuse a C-ranked water ninjutsu with a fire ninjutsu, then the fire ninjutsu would have to be B-ranked. In this example, the jutsu would treat the B-ranked fireball as C-ranked, and thus two fused would act as a B-ranked technique. Techniques fused either have to be of the same rank, or one rank difference. Finally, despite the leaning toward ninjutsu, this technique allows one to fuse complex and spiritual tai and bukijutsu as well. For complex techniques, treat it's fusion with ninjutsu as the example with two opposing elements fusing, (aka, if you want to fuse a B-ranked complex punch with a ninjutsu, then the ninjutsu would have to be C-ranked). When within a fog or mist, the user must use D-Rank chakra during the first post of use followed by an E-Rank amount as upkeep, this allows the user to see through all mist or steam as long as this is active regardless of rank. Negates any blindness status caused by moisture in the air. ▱▰▱ Multi-Mirror Image Training | Rank A | Training The user has learned to control their chakra in a fine manner which allows them to create an additional mirror image per rank of the technique it is executed with.
