Amberbriar yawned as she laid across a fallen tree over the river that she lived next to. She didn’t participate in the war that had happened, but when the split happened, she gleefully went to the new clan. She just wanted to be rid of her nagging older brother, knowing full well that he wouldn’t follow her. He was too busy looking for his long-lost friend currently and when he did pay attention to Amberbriar, he was either chasing off males or doing something else an overbearing and protective brother would do.

Amberbriar had enough of it. She looked down at the river she was over. She was quite fond of the spot, but she wouldn’t be too happy if someone were to knock her down and she end up in the river. She wasn’t in the mood for company at the moment either. She rested her head over her paws, sighing deeply as she did so. It was a pleasant day. Not too hot and the others in her clan weren’t really around to bug her. At some point she would look for potential males to sire kits, one thing her brother wouldn’t let her do back at lightning clan. She did well when she ran away. She wasn’t a kit anymore and was fully capable of caring for kits. On her own. With no help from any males. She just needed to find the right male, but not right then. She was enjoying her freedom way too much.

Dewfrost, being the impatient tom he was, had decided to leave camp without a patrol or really much else but himself and his fluffy coat. He held his head high as he trotted along the border, maybe going over it a few times, just for the fun of it. Despite being a Forestclan follower, the tom had stayed back in Lightningclan, finding most the she-cats he knew to be willing for flings had stayed. That's the only reason, really, his loyalty ended at he'd follow the leader of whatever clan he was in, to the clan itself? He held no real love.

Despite this, he had always been a little war happy, and when he saw another cat, on their side of the border of not, he felt an extreme urge to leap at them and attack. Until.. he realized it was a she-cat with a fabulous tail~! He held his head even higher and slowly trotted into view, pretending he didn't notice her but obviously showing off his fur as he drank slowly from the river at his paws.

Amberbriar didn’t see Dewfrost as he approached. Her eyes were closed, trying to take a nice nap before heading back to the camp. It wasn’t until she could hear someone drinking that caught her attention. She opened one large yellow eye and looked at the river. She huffed when she saw a rather odd-looking tom lapping loudly at the river. He didn’t belong there. She growled a little but made no notion to moving from her spot.

“You don’t belong here,” she said loud enough for the Tom to hear. “If the others see you, they will attack without hesitation.”
