•Out of Bounds•
The Arena spans a 100-foot Diameter. One can either win by rendering the opponent unconscious or having the target touch the ground in the Out of Bunds area which is 20 feet extending from the borders of the arena. Naturally, competitors can concede and surrender. If thrown into the air a barrier will prevent an individual from flying out the arena but will result in an impact equivalent to hitting an impenetrable wall.

If an attack would result in possible death or cause the individual to enter a near-death state the competitor is disqualified.

Hajime would enter the arena, stopping just so he could draw his blades. He raised his arms high, grinning at the crowd. He then stabbed them into the ground, lightning splattered around him as they pierced the Arena's Grounds. It took little chakra to cause the small light show, but he wanted to give the crowd something to eat up. Haji'd make his way to the center, to wait for his opponent.
Look good! Don't get flustered! The whole world is watching! It was safe to say that she had never met Haji which was too bad, frankly, because before the Storm seceded it was her hope to make a good mark on the special forces of the Hidden Village. Now the goal was just to get along with the other kids and keep the lines between one power to another well. No fans. No tonfa. Nothing sharp and pokey. Fists, kicks and elemental bursts! Her entry was bouncy but dignified as she waved her arms around. Unki was greeting the crowd with her fluttering sleeves and waving about and around. Until her stroll brought her to a stop at the center, facing Haji, where all attention fell to him.
Unki batters her eyelashes, smiles up to him, and gives a timely bow to her opponent. Long and low enough to sway her braid a bit. She then spoke, low, and enough enough for Haji alone to hear her. The youngest Karna would stand amidst the front row of spectators as the battle would begin shortly. through the gates would come Unki, Aurelia's favorite chef tutor and person who had the best hair in Arashigakure! The crowd was cheering loud for their competitors to win. Yet among them was a pale colored woman, red eyes staring out at the field. It was a shame she couldn't make the tournament herself. Ever since coming here, there was that Gorosei itch in her to just hurt somebody. But she wasn't here to start another fistfight. Obei was here to cheer on the boy from before who had been smitten with her. She sat in the front rows and would wave out to Haji when he walked inside.

Hajime would give a deep respectful bow as she approached, giving her a big, genuine smile. "Pleasure to meet ya, mi amor!~" He teased, giving her a wink as he leaned back, fished a cigarette out of his satchel, He balanced it between his lips as he brought his fingers up to the tip and snapped, lighting the hand rolled tobacco stick. "I will relish this fight, getting to dance with a beautiful lady is always fun." He brought his hand up in the form a of a sign, only one though, taking a step. Though unfortunately for Hajime that step would shift a pressure plate and the resounding acidic explosion would leave him covered in the stuff, and his cigarette ruined. "Hmmmmmph...well then." He spit the cigarette out, and while keeping up the sign, he used his other hand to pull his shirt off completely, all of it, leaving him bare chested and ready to fight. A few scars could be seen from past fights and spars. He would smirk at her before giving a heavy stomp. Chakra flowing through his foot and into the ground. The earth beneath him would start a violent, loud ripple, tearing apart the ground like some type of wave, in a circle around him. Dust going everywhere, chunks of rock hurtling at Unki.
Tsunami no Jutsu [ Tsunami Technique ] [ S ] This jutsu summons a huge tsunami of broken earth and rubble that can strike with enough force to break bones, and kicks up a cloud of dust which obscures the vision of normal shinobi. Stomping the ground with their foot, the user stands at the epicenter of a circular tsunami. With the earth acting exactly like water would, bowling over objects in its way. Maybe he thought he was cute? Of all the types of introductions her opponent could have opt to use, Unki could only assume he must be the playful type. Only actually cute off-and-on and if met with too much than the sentiment was worn and weary feeling which might be different if she were single. Her request wasn't taken into too much consideration either, unfortunately, with his footing being absolutely careless and smashes an acidic plate! A slippery battle would have been better. Unki recoils accordingly with her arms to coming to block her face. She lowers her arms just slightly enough to eye him and finding she really couldn't help herself but look disappointed and a little cross with a mistake having been made so quickly. Hajime ultimately chucks off whatever was left of his shirt compelling Unki to quickly look away. It isn't easy to fight someone without looking at them so, honestly, she has to look. Upon returning her stare back at her opponent's face, oh, she could already feel her knees brave against a wobble. Hajime was quick. The ground beneath her began to surge with a jolt of energy coursing through his stomp. Unki frankly lost her footing, had her vision obstructed, and feels the rocky debris bombard onto her arms. She never put her arms down completely from her recoil from the acid and for good reason. This wasn't a walk on the beach nor was this a clean dodge. Unki was starting up with a rocky dodge with one arm, her right, covering her face {Basic Dodge [ Up ] | Rank S | Simple} and zipping upward from the tectonic trauma and not without consequence. Unki was hit initially with earthy fragments on her knees and arms well enough that she will be waking up with sore, ugly bruises the next day. Her right arm sustained a whooping that would have hit her face. Again, Unki actions did not come with consequence. Where did she land? Unki's feet landed on a plate and her otherwise well landing met her with a spalsh of Hojo's finest corrosive formula. She shrieks out a loud and wailing noOoooo, when there was no hope in dodging. The cloth vest on her back would the first to crumble into nothing. The violet backing and collar of her outfit then went along with the bulk of her sleeves as if moths found a break in their feast. Unki spun in circles with her arms coming together quick to cover her chest in a way that her hands could rest against her cheeks. The young empress looked like she could devolve into an absolute panic in fear of completely exposing herself to the crowd. On her last quick, tight turn she looks at Haji with a ridged look of calm and alarm all in one stare. I did not give you permission to look at me." Her tone suggests she might be taking offense to having some young good-looking show-off just being in the same proximity as her. Her seemingly idle hands, against her cheeks in dread then slip together and weave out a string of hand-seals to whip up a swirling wind to circle about her{Wind Claws [ Kaze no Tsume ] Rank: A}. The swirl of energy whirling around was surging mad and whisking her hair about. It didn't matter she still had a good bulk of her clothing left. Unki shoved her arm outwards toward target to send the raging winds out and away. From Hajime's position, he would see an angry oni in the likeness of the fabled wind god.

As soon as his foot hit the ground and his attack launched he bolted towards her, watching everything happen. Her getting hit with rubble then the acid. He was in combat mode, he wouldn't allow for a-oh jeez she just got hit with acid toooooohmygodhershirtismeltingohgod! It was his turn to hide his eyes some, just as she was saying her line he was looking away. "This may be a fight, but I still will respect your decency, Empress" He prepped himself for the attack though, waiting to see just what she through at him. He waited a moment, a moment longer and their was nothing. He could somewhat see parts of her, but couldn't see her hands, his fingers in the way, and his head cocked to the side. "If you aren't going to attack then I will!" Haji was gathering Katon and Raiton chakra into one palm each, letting it grow. He brought his hand down and kept her in his peripheral vision. He was still close, both hands were at his sides now, palms toward her. With a bellowing yell he shoved them out in a double palmstrike while he was still 10 feet from her. Lightning and fire burst from his palms headed towards her. He had kept his gaze away from her, inadvertently saving him from that genjutsu."HYAAAAAH!"
Dual Forces [ A ] The user throws their hands to either side of their body, punching or delivering an open palmed strike. The user projects chakra outward from either side that creates a concussive blast five feet per rank, allowing them to launch any chosen element they posses from their hands, even allowing separate elements from both hands. If the palms strike the target directly, the user pays the cost of this technique in stamina in addition to it's original cost to deal damage. Her wind claws failed! There was a flaw in the timing but with impetuous choices came no guarantee for success. Haji was an approximate grand total of 10 feet just slightly being two-unki's away. 10 feet really isn't a grand amount of room to work with and less so with two nasty palm strikes suddenly barreling toward her.
Unki hisses before barreling out of the way [Basic Dodge [ Left ] | Rank A | Simple] . Casting a windy reply would fuel the fire and create scenarios that were too dangerous for a tournament setting on top of possibly harming Haji in some fashion the Chunin would rather avoid. The lightning would be vanquished but that was a glory she would have to skip on. With a roll to the left Unki recovery was timely and she pairs her dodge with a charge forward to close the gap. It would be at this point her previous reaction was widely just an over reaction because she still had a good deal of her top intact. Her leggings on the other hand, well, let's say her selection in drawers were awfully reflective of her taste in cute things.
The empress pulls a "fast one" by feigning a speedy direct attack that flurried into a front flip over Haji by the time she had raced into arms length [Circle Over |B rank| Simple]. Her rotation over Haji would lead up to a swift kick to the gluts right before her knees were feeling weak again when the flickering thought of his toned abdomen flooded her thoughts.

The Gentle Art ﹢Combination Training : Rank: S :: Training Description: Once every three posts, the user is able to deliver a choking or locking technique for no activation when following a successful throwing technique. ﹢Minimum Effort; Maximum Efficiency : Rank: S :: Training Description: The user's throwing techniques require 5 less stamina per rank of the technique with a minimum cost of 5 stamina.

Hajime went to block that attack, but be it his limited depth perception or just letting someone get one over on himself, she hopped right over the Fiery headed guy. He felt his butt smacked with her foot, he let himself fall forward and tuck, then roll out. He hopped up and twisted on his foot to face her again. He wasn't going to shield his eye this time, whatever happens happens. "That was pretty good, Empress but you have to fight!" He barked at Unki. He was signing again, stringing together a jutsu. In actuality it was one Genjutsu followed by a Ninjutsu in one long string. Though, just like with her previous Gen, it'd have to catch her eyes. With the Nin he'd been using however, she better be paying attention or the Empress might just have her socks blown off! Hajime finished, if Unki gots caught in the Gen, she'd also have all sorts of things wriggling into form in the shadows. Some thing from her past would be created, to torment her out of the shadows in the arena. There was plenty of rubble, and with that there are plenty of shadows. And for that next jutsu, Hajime sucked in a deep breath and spat out a torrent of boiling water right at the lady!
Nightmare Shadow [ Akumu Kage ] [ B ] This technique forces an opponent to believe the shadows around them are acting independently of the light cast in the particular setting. They shape and form various objects of likewise varying proportions. What is actually happening here is that the user is recreating scenes or things from their past which have caused them harm to some extent. It can range as being as complex and morbid was witnessing the birth and slaughter of a newborn, or even to something as trivial as clown-shaped figures surrounding the opponent from all sides. The shadows, of course, have no face or actual presence: They are merely shapes which hint at the aforementioned events. Activation DR: [ +0 Strength || + 0 Speed || +0 Reflex || +0 Fortitude ] ↵
Scalding Water Cannon Technique [ Sukēringu Suihou no Jutsu ] [ B ] A move that lets the user spit a powerful beam of boiling water, strong enough to cut through wood and hot enough to scald flesh. Eventually, it becomes powerful enough to carve through stone. For an upkeep of D-Rank, the technique can be continued past the first post, for as long as the user can hold their breath. This technique may be treated as a combination of Katon and Suiton natures. If the user applies a D-Rank amount of katon chakra to the technique then Tier 3 burning is applied. That kick of hers was lame! Why did Haji have to be a young, attractive guy and not an older dweeb with a good body?! Being an older man, at least ten years older than herself, ideally would have put a halt on the wobbly legs. He'd just be eye candy and untouchable. BESIDES. The most important piece in the game:I'm married to a hot guy- I'm married to a hot guy. Despite the supposed mind-clearing magic to a mantra nothing as simple as repeating a knee steadying phrase will completely remove Unki's sights off her whole target and take every inch of his visible form in to prep for his next move. This, however, was where she again made a mistake.
Unki had a hold on her footing from landing from her flip then catching wind of his hands forming signs. Her shoulders grew tense with the anticipation to move again and just as she made a step, retreating, a black wiggling wave swept up from the broken terrain. Unki's attempt to actually move out of the way and with confidence found in her retreat there was something that kept her in reach of the black mass. The black mass swept over her with hardly any weight to it. As if water had forfeit its weight. Unki didn't understand it, she couldn't tell she was still truthfully just standing in one place, and couldn't quite weave together why there was such little impact aside the black mass now pulling away from her. A retreat as smooth as retreating tides.
The retreating mass left a wiggling black form on the rocky terrain, small and sitting upright like a little person. Unki still couldn't move. Was the black mass just so interesting that very ounce of her energy was sunk into figuring this out? This sequence was quick, really, and stable enough to confirm Haji would have an open advantage while his opponent was busy tacking pieces of information together.
The form's little puff on its head was a striking giveaway that she was looking at herself. The real Unki began to step back. "I-I don't want to know what this is!" Too bad she really couldn't get away from the wiggling mass. The black wriggling mass rushes back to her like frothy wave and clashes over both real and illusion Unki's and retreats again. In the retreat a second form came up which was dull, defunct, and purely at the mercy of the ocean's unforgiving character.
Two days and two nights had all pass by in the blink of an eye. A memory, at least, not the actual sensation that time has passed. This memory was one Unki entombed behind her love for good reason. What time had taken away suddenly had chosen to give back and therefore, well, Unki couldn't really figure out how this could come up except for one reason. But before the empress could even spare a second to free herself from quivering, laborious breathing, an eye-widening nightmare there was a second sensation that came with a third wave of the black wave. This second sensation dissolved the illusion but managed so with boiling heat. A shrilling EEEK was the most Unki could get out between enduring, suffering, and escaping {Shunsin used here} from a steaming white spray of scaling water.
Her face was red! Not blushy-blush red but "girl, your face might need to see a doctor" red. It wasn't hard to hide how distressed she was becoming with revisiting a seemingly physical recreation of a bad memory (which had her rattled) and the plain fact Unki was probably going to be looking at an ugly burn on her face, arms, and whatever exposed skin where have you that Hajime's water blast hit. Her innate ability had no chance of offering protection from anything like this when an illusion is in the mix.
In light of her clothes being singed in places about her form and nearly half of having been consumed by the acid was beginning to leave her in a dicey state where the whole world watching would be able to see her lady bits. Did fighting among acid meant she already gave her consent? Didn't matter! As a human, more importantly a lady, she could revoke her consent to the whole world at a drop of a hat. Thus, her fans were brought into play to tread on the threat of an illegal move. "Th-they're weapons. Big whoop! I respect the rules but I don't respect putting myself on the verge of being humiliated. I've dealt with placing myself on the line long enough." She was saying this through a hot sting on her pink face. The volume of her voice was loud enough to echo through their arena plenty to be picked up among viewers. But her next comment was low and plainly honest. "I'm afraid cotton won't cut it in a public contest. If we didn't have a bunch of spectators to publish my pretty face to the tabloids, well."" Her eyes could be seen shifting cautiously, side to to side, bailing out of following through with her honest sentiments about continuing. "Surely, you understand." in leui of a bow (she doesn't know how much of her undergarments would be showing) a curtsy with her fans still shielding herself was the most she could offer.
Unki finally turns from Hajime with her fans steadily blocking portions of her form. At this point, a small imperial entourage came to cover and collect her posing questions left and right as they escort her out of the arena. "No. I'm really not all right!"

Hajime felt a pit fall into his stomach. He felt terrible, that was such a cheap shot. But he knew he had to end it soon or he would be out of chakra, and his Bukijutsu was an immediate disqualification. Either way he didn't mean to hit the pretty lady right in the face. He gives his opponent a deep bow, eyes shut tight. "My apologies, Empress. Please, definitely keep your dignity, and I am really sorry about your face..." He turned and went his own way, leaving the arena with the win.
