It was still weird, being out here by herself without Ghost. Her sister had told her to stay put, she'd be back. But then she never came back. Several days had already gone by and she was still gone. Worry quickly took the albino she cat, after that hunger. Frowning, Spirit had slipped from her spot where she was told to stay put and set off to try hunting.
Ghost never let her hunt before, always making her save her energy if they needed to make quick get aways, but Ghost wasn't here. "She'll be back....I know it. I wont go far." she chanted to herself, her sort of self calming mantra for the time being. A small smile crept over her features. "Time to try this hunting thing! I'm sure its easy...." she breathed softly, ears alert.
She had never hunted before, and besides watching what her sister did, she wasn't exactly a master. Still, she crouched low, opening her mouth to scent the area, ears perked forward and listening. What came to her first was the loud crunching of leaves. Thinking it something to be caught and eaten, Spirit slipped towards the sound, following until it became closer and closer. She had just about prepared herself to spring when voices hit her.
Oh!
"Hello?" she called timidly, suddenly regretting it. Everything Ghost warned her about flooded back into her mind in that moment.

Rowan rolled his eyes when Soju gave out an apology. "There's nothing to be sorry about. You're still learning about life without your twolegs." He just treaded on, until another voice rang in his ears. "Get down, Soju." he commanded tail lashing. It was a new voice, so he did not know who it was. Soju might try to befriend them, to get attacked. He didn't even know if she knew how to defend herself even.
Without waiting to hear a protest, Rowan fell into a stalker's crouch, and stayed low, heading in the direction of the voice. The scent was getting stronger, and Rowan then returned to his standing height, locking eyes with a shorthaired cat. She looked like she was starving, and were those ... ribs showing?
"Have your twolegs been forgetting to feed you too?" he assumed, thinking maybe this was one of Soju's friends who came looking for her. A friend of Soju's maybe, but still a stranger to him. "What brings you out here into the wild?"

As soon as he came over, Spirit flattened herself to the ground, ears flat against her head, eyes wide. She wasn't sure why this startled her, what was she expecting by calling out to them? It had been so long since she had talked to anyone else.
But... twolegs?
Perking up, Spirit blinked, glancing at the other she cat as she too bounded forward. Oh heavens, Ghost would kill her if she saw her now! But these were the first cat's she'd actually met in a long while AND they knew about twolegs! "Oh...no I don't have any twolegs. Ever." she frowned a bit, ears falling back slightly again. Her stomach rumbled quietly and she glanced anxiously down at her paws. He was right about one thing however.
What brought her to the wild? Well that was a loaded question. Never give too much info away Spirit! That's what Ghost would say. "Oh, um. My sister. We found.. a place to say and she went hunting...but hasn't come back yet." she said like a kitten would to a mother. Then frowned again. No, that's too much info!
Shaking her head, her pink gaze turned towards the female who somehow made her feel more relaxed. "Spirit!" she beamed, bouncing up excitedly a bit before shrinking back to the ground again after glancing back at the male. "I'm Spirit, I mean." she grinned sheepishly, hoping she hadn't just become some other cat's meal. Was that how life worked out here instead of the back allies?
