Zwei really wished that he could help. He really did, but he was currently under the maw of a mighty--

Nope. Keyword now was 'WAS'. He had a savior now, and that savior was a fellow friend and Snagem who was kicking back the pack so he could get back up on his feet.

The Lillipup hybrid salutes and jumps up as Reno pushes them all back. He ends up getting tossed forwards, bounding off the heads of a few pokemon in the direction of yet ANOTHER Snagem...who didn't seem to notice and....and....

"...wwwwwhhhhhEEEEEEEEEEEHOOOOOOO!!!" The Lillipup hybrid howls as Crystal not only sends him in another direction, she actually sends him HARDER than Reno's initial jump. This combined use of momentum provides one of the answers to Tristen's question, as the black-and-white blur with a hint of brown ends up carving into the flood ahead of him, knocking Pokemon down like pinballs and swathing a fair path. He seems more than willing to be the wrecking ball....

Leslie would stare up at Crystal for a moment before making a few metallic tings as she knocked the side of her head. "Made of steel, remember? I weigh more than some motorcycles if I put my mind to it." And before she could add more, the call went out to all of the assembled Snagems to try and clear cut a path through the gathered Shadow Pokemon for Tristan to reach the Zapdos Heart. Nodding her head in acknowledgement of the power that particular stone contained, the Steel hybrid would look towards Regice for a moment before she figured out how best to keep these Shadow Pokemon following them like Freth suggested. "Porygon-3! Its time for a new Ice Age! Cut off this entrance entirely!" Leslie shouted, the sudden reprieve that Crystal had offered them with her entrance being utilized by the legendary Pokemon to release a hailstorm in the area, empowering it to begin using the collected ice and a flurry of Blizzard attacks to begin creating a massive, thick ice wall that stood between the entrance to the building and the horde of Shadow Pokemon outside.

Nodding in appreciation to her Pokemon, Leslie would take a moment to return Chulainn to his Pokeball. While a pair of swords were useful for hit-and-run, what she was about to do was anything but that. She had been feeling strange ever since she had hardwired herself directly into the ship to grant it an ironclad defense, but she had brushed it off as exhaustion or a rush of adrenaline or whatever she could use to justify it. But that feeling had continued till now, and she finally had it figured. She had a well of Z energy sitting in her thanks to that move she pulled, and she was about to put it to expert use. Snapping a vine from each palm to one of the spires, Leslie would lean back for a moment before grinning manically and firing herself off into the air. Beginning to glow a dull silver color as she arced through the air, the Mawile hybrid began to instinctually spin herself as he began to draw closer to the ground and the energy around her began to grow brighter and more wild. Reaching the peak of her spinning motion and beginning to see the Shadow Pokemon come into form instead of as simple distant blobs, Leslie could hardly resist calling out her move. "Corkscrew Crash!" The hybrid roared, plowing through dozens of the Shadow Pokemon that were around the path to the Zapdos Heart and scattering them like petals in a hurricane. And as she slid to a stop, Leslie would do her best to reorient after the calamitous crash that she had went through. Hopefully that display of raw power and kinetic force kept those Pokemon from filling in the line she had gouged out too quickly.

---

As he heard the call to blaze a trail through the Shadow Pokemon gathered around them, Reno let out a sigh. He had wanted to just exchange fists with this Hitmonchan for a while, get a feel for how it fought, and maybe even steal a few moves from the thing to use himself. Now he had to cut it short and be mean. Looking towards the Hitmonchan he was squaring up against, Reno would simply dash forward with his guard still up.....before unceremoniously kicking the Hitmonchan square in the chest and pushing a massive amount of energy into his leg to send it flying as his levitation abilities pushed it the hell away. Pivoting on his other leg, Reno would aim his hand towards where he expected Tristan to be traveling and released a blast of energy that sent a good couple Shadow Pokemon away and wounded a bunch of others along the path that he had shot along. "Well, guess I'm starting from scratch with my Charge Counter again. And just after I had a good well of energy built up from that Hitmonchan sucker punching me too. Oh well, time to fight some more." Reno narrated to himself, watching as a blast of Thunder came towards him...and went flying past as a slight pink glow formed around the tip to direct it towards a few more of the Shadow Pokemon in Tristan's path and provide a convenient marker for the Elektrike hybrid to move towards.

Tristen, already no stranger to insurmountable odds, had a hard time bringing himself to move forward, staring down the Shadow Pokemon rush that was coming after him. He almost couldn't believe that GRAY was tasking him to cut through this entire swath of Pokemon just to drop perhaps the biggest bolt of lighting he's ever done. He then perked up, seeing cavalry already on its way. Odd rushed in and in a spectacle to behold, watched as the Black Hole Eclipse blasted a gap within the massive horde. That was his cue. Run. Now. "Magmar! Return!" He said, taking out his Pokeball and recalling his weary Pokemon.

He turned and made the mad dash. Losing footing only a second as the powerful forces from the Black Hole Eclipse threatened to take him as well. Ducking, jukeing, and in one or two occasions leap-frogging over a few Pokemon that threatened to plow into him due to the Z-move's pulling might. He needed to run as hard and as fast as his two legs would allow him. He only cursed himself that he has yet to learn Quick Attack, but lamentation would have to come when everyone was finally safe. Too much rode on this.

One more juke, and a sudden stop for a second to avert getting plowed into by Zwei being the hybrid pinball amongst the Shadow Horde then more running. Tristen could now feel it at this point; he actually could outright feel the Zapdos heart. His Lightning Rod ability guiding him, as if yearning dearly, towards all that power. A couple of Pokemon started to get in Tristen's way, a couple of Golduck with their agressive stances started to rush for Tristen. Tristen's body shrouded in electricty and dove right at the two, shoulder tackling them both with his Spark attack and plowing right through. Hitting the ground for a second before scrambling back up and continued rushing for the ship.

He could hear the chaos go full blast now. Leslie's Corkscrew Crash tearing through other swaths and a Combuskin's Flamethrower being a deterrent, Tristen continued with all he could. As the boy continued to rush, he was then blindsided, getting slammed into with great force. He wasn't sure what it was; but it hurt. Badly. Tristen pushed himself up, looking back for a second, seeing his attacker. A Breloom which was trotting forward to finish Tristen off, until Freth appeared with her Agility, driving a furious fist right into the Breloom and sent it eating dirt, with her following up by landing, running up to it, and blasting it with three Ice Beam shots for good measure to make sure the hardy grass type stayed down. Tristen managed to get up for a moment, staring at Freth in a bit of awe. "What the hell are you standing there for!? You got more coming from behind you!" Tristen looked back and sure enough, there were. Freth managed to lure a fair number of them them with her perhaps to execute this plan, and it was safe to assume others did too. "Get moving! Go!"

"Runningrunningrunningrunning!" Tristen shouted, panicking at this point. He didn't want anyone's efforts going to waste as he made his way ever closer to the SS Anne II.

Swaths of Shadow Pokemon were mowed down out of Tristen's way by various means, the Snagems waging a lopsided war against the viral creatures, giving their all in the hope that perhaps Tristen could tell this all around. The young hybrid had a huge burden to bear as he ran through the chaos but the deeper he ventured into the horde the more confirmation he received that he was not alone, his friends were there for him. As the wreckage comes into view Tristen could feel the Zapdos Heart calling to him, or rather himself yearn for it. It was close, very close, just a little further and maybe he could end all this in one grand display.

"Shreeew!" Hissed a gathering of Shadow Sandshrew as they hurried dug up out of the ground and began to rush towards Tristen from all sides, their sharp claws looking particularly devastating as they dripped with vile Shadow energy. They were perhaps more clever than anyone gave Shadow Pokemon credit for, the Sandshrew apparently having planned an ambush for him. With so many of them coming at him from all sides and him with little to harm them with the young hybrid was a sitting Psyduck.

"Spiky Shield!" Larrimore shouted as he dropped down from the sky and slammed down behind Tristen, pulling him in and hugging him against his chest before hunching over to kind of shield him, dropping a Pokeball in the process. Chesnaught would appear from the ball and lean over the pair, its arms stretching around them as far as they could. The Spiny Armour Pokemon's shell would then expand greatly to cover them completely and while Tristen couldn't see it on the inside he could hear the pained cries of the Shadow Sandshrew slamming into the spike pointed shield that protected him. After a few seconds Chesnaught would lower the shield to reveal the majority of the Sandshrew either left or knocked themselves out trying to get through.

"Keep going, mon garcon! You mustn't allow yourself to get bogged down by these ennuis!" Larrimore declared as one of the still standing Shadow Sandshrew jumped at him, the hybrid grabbing it out of the air with his horns via Vice Grip, tossing it to the side and slashing at two more with his freed sword, meanwhile Chesnaught started hurling the knocked out bodies at more incoming Shadow Pokemon as the horde began to catch up.

Once Tristen continued he would make it to the wreckage, the ship largely intact but split in almost two perfect pieces with one end leaning with the exposed inside looking up and the other half buried in the sand. The Zapdos Heart was in the semi-buried portion, the half that included the bow of the ship which was now pointed up towards the sky. Somehow he had to get inside, as no entrance could be seen from where he was standing. He couldn't waste time though examining it further, cause it looked like he wasn't the only one after the Zapdos Heart.

Three Shadow Pokemon, which had prior been scuffling with each other as they each tried to get inside, were now turning their attention towards the new arrival that was Tristen. An Eelektross, an Electivire, and a Jolteon, each no doubt drawn to the tasty morsel just as Tristen was, via their abilities. This was bad news for the little Electric type, as any one of them could make an electrical meal out of him as well and then the Heart.

For the others there was no end to the horde of Shadow Pokemon, no matter how much they threw at them, no matter how big the attack, more and more just seemed to come. But they had to keep fighting, not just to keep themselves alive, but to give their friends a fighting chance. None of the Snagems here facing the horde knew why but something told them their friends on top of the tower were fighting with everything they had, a feeling of camaraderie washing over them not unlike what they felt in the Forest of Origin, probably Ulla's doing. This surge of emotion confirmed for them their assumptions and told them to keep fighting, that victory would come if they just didn't give up.

As the Snagems looked up at Realgam Tower in the distance they could see lights shining around the arena, slowly getting brighter. Did that mean something? They did have an ominous look to them. Now was no time to question it though. Keep fighting.

(Post your character down to their last breath, barely able to continue. Have them acknowledge the strange glow of Realgam Tower.)

Zwei was feeling SO GOOD RIGHT NOW. A little bruised, a little worse for wear and he was bounding around and just...really enjoying himself on the battlefield.

Bad that he thought of it as a game, but good enough that he managed to get into just a few scraps, not currently in the mood to catch anything.

There was so much he could do, so much more he could help with and he was so ready to take on whatever challenges they could get to. If they could get to that heart thing, then Tristen could do something with it--

_CRASH_.

Zwei rolled into the metal of the wall, twisted damage just above his head. "Nice bouncing, maaaan...." He told himself, slowly getting to his feet and shaking it off. Bounding around the broken ship, climbing up and up and up....

And Zwei saw it then. The three Electric Pokemon that were taking a look at Tristen....and there weren't others around, which was good....

But wait.

"YANG! BLAST THEM." He yelled, throwing a Pokeball sideways. With the way that the Arcanine came out, mouth full of fire anyway, the attack would not hit Tristen but it WOULD come at those three pesky Shadow Pokemon. Talk about perspective. "Got your back, bud!! Though I think in this case I have your front!! Need a lift? Grab onto Yang! She'll bring you up!"

While her divebomb into the crowd with her Corkscrew Crash had torn through scores of Shadow Pokemon, Leslie was now finding herself surrounded on all sides by even more Shadow Pokemon. Their numbers seemed endless. But she still had the barest of hopes, that Regice would arrive on the scene and turn things around for them to give them a chance at survival against this onslaught. And as if the universe could hear her thoughts, an earth-shattering crack would ring out across the area as a massive blue-ish projectile soared through the air and crashed into the ground nearby Leslie with a massive plume of dirt, dust, and scattered Shadow Pokemon. Looking over at the crash site between attacks from Shadow Pokemon hammering her, Leslie would see Porygon-3 struggling to rise from where it had crashed down before falling back again from the pain that it was feeling. The source of that pain would soon make itself known as it landed squarely on Leslie with a flurry of punches, the Shadow Machamp laughing and gloating over the two he had just savaged with his powerful arms. Looking up towards her opponent and biting down on her lip, Leslie would begin to see an eerie glow beginning to illuminate Realgam Tower in a manner that had her even more on edge than the Machamp that she was now flinging herself towards thanks to Willow's Vine Whip again.

----

Reno could already tell that something was up with the tower without turning around. He could feel the energy rolling off the thing in his system, telling him that he desperately needed to try and end this fight with as big of a hit as he could manage, even if that required him to give something of himself in the process. Looking at the Shadow Pokemon surrounding him, Reno would shrug before letting his slime armor drop entirely off of him. "Alright. Come and get me." Reno said, throwing a rock towards one of the Pokemon. That was all it took for the fighting around Reno to resume, with blasts of fire, thudding impacts, and all sorts of other attacks sending the Co-Leader of Snagem flying across the small area as he took all of these attacks right on the chin. While he was still able to recover some from each hit with his regeneration, he wasn't invincible and the wounds were slowly beginning to pile up. But soon Reno would give a smile through bloodied teeth, his armor quickly reappearing across his body as he did so.

"Thanks, fellas." Reno said, a burst of energy at his feet signalling him launching himself backwards a few feet from the gathered Shadow Pokemon. He needed a lot of energy on hand for what he was planning and that little beatdown he had taken had done just the job. While he wasn't exactly in the best shape now, he had all the energy he needed for a even larger blast, something to make his effort to help Tristan look like a spark. Gathering himself for a moment, Reno would aim towards the gathered Shadow Pokemon and unleash his Charge Counter. The beam of energy would pummel through a few of the Shadow Pokemon and even sending other scattering, although it seemed that...something had made it stop short. Looking closely at the form, he was quick to discover a giant Mudsdale that had been a dozen rows back and had been apparently preparing itself, as the thing took off in a mad rush the second Reno's move let up. Which was swiftly followed by a Bide-powered kick straight to Reno that sent him flying into the sky, the concetrated power of his Charge Counter now being channeled directly into a kick that could be fairly called the launch mechanism for a rocket. It would be a wonder to see where exactly he landed after that hit.

Throughout the fights, it'd be seen that the Perish Song from before did cause a couple of Pokemon to faint; namely, Sol's Charizard and Amaranth's Togekiss. Not heeding the command to avoid hearing the tune had proven to be their undoing, but with their shadowfication, perhaps it was a better outcome than having to knock them out some other way. Sol had opted to keep fighting however he could for as long as he could, even moving to try and assist in Tristen's journey to the SS Anne II... but he could only go so far. The constant battling was wearing him and his Pokemon thin, each one eventually falling in turn and being recalled to prevent anything worse happening to them than perhaps being shadowfied.

By now, each of his Pokemon had been recalled, and even he looked like he couldn't go on for too much longer; not that this would stop him. He could spend a life or three if given the time to resurrect and resume fighting, he felt, though it was incredibly risky. He'd look up long enough to note a glow from Realgam Tower, his heart sinking at the feeling he got from it. Looking back at the horde, he'd grunt and tighten the grip on his blade, rushing to run it down a shadowfied Rhydon as he charged a Solar Beam... before being blindsided by a Stoutland and sent crashing to the ground.

"Still... too many of them," Sol remarked. "Hopefully that bought Tristen enough time."

---

Amaranth wound up having an even rougher time of things. Her attempts at providing support and defense taking a lot of attacks despite best efforts. Rapidly overwhelmed, she and Pidgeot kept trying to avoid taking any more damage than they already had; the rest of her Pokemon were already recalled, spent from the earlier battles. As they stayed in the air, wondering if there were actually a finite number of Shadow Pokemon in the horde, she noticed the glow too. A feeling of dread came over both of them knocking even more wind out of their sails and leaving them to realize not only how over their heads they really were, but just how much the odds were stacked against them. They couldn't keep fighting like this...

The ship was drawing ever closer to him as he made the hard, frantic dash to the wrecked ship. Unfortunately, more blocked his way...and others quickly surrounded him, from under the ground no less, much to his dismay. Sandshrew. A lot of them. Nothing that Tristen can forcefully shock his way through. "Oh no..." Tristen said. No where to run or back off to. His eyes went wide as they went on the attack, but before he knew it, the Chestnaught dropped down behind him and shielded him from the attacks. When the onslaught was over, Tristen looked around him, a bit in shock. That was a real fast few seconds. He looked up at the Chestnaught then looked over towards Larrimore. This fight wasn't over after all. "Thank you, Mr. Larrimore!" Tristen shouted back, going back on the sprint to the ship.

As he managed to get to the ship, he took a look about quickly. The Zapdos Heart apparently was in the part of the ship that was buried somewhat. There didn't seem to be any good way of getting in there without any explosive action going on. He looked back, seeing other Pokemon. Electrical types, now. One of which would get stronger if he tried staying his ground. Tristen couldn't help but to grit his teeth out of frustration at this point. He then perked up, seeing Zwei making the most dynamic of entries followed up by the released Arcanine to be a rather hefty deterrent. That hybrid really gets around.

"Alright!" Tristen said, rushing over to the Arcanine, getting on and hanging on. "Go, Go, Go!" Tristen shouted. They were short on time. A realization however, occurred to the Electrike hybrid. As he would be carried up by the Arcanine, Tristen started to shout for his SNAG. "GRAY! I know you're listening!" He called out. "Get someone to start a Rain Dance! We're only gonna get one shot at this!"

Zwei grins when Tristen notices him, ears atop his head all the more for listening for his friends aid. Of course he gets around! This boy is pure chaotic energy! What more could they need outta him??

Yang bounces off one of the opposing shadow Pokemon, blessed in space to not be affected as they bound up walls and through debris to land, perfectly, on the space where Zwei is sitting; had he a tail it'd be wiggling.

"The Hearts in Here!! Iunno what you're gonna do with it but I know its this way 'cause you can hear it humming..." The Lillipup hybrid chirps, climbing onto the Arcanines back too. "Yang! Listen to Tristens' direction and follow it towards the Heart! Lets help save the world!!"

"BACK OFF!" Absinthe yelled, running toward Lykas and clotheslining the Carnivine sucking him dry. This of course did little but to draw the infected Grass-type's ire, causing it to try to headbutt Abby out of the way, who could only grab its head and try to push it back to little success. "I wont-!" Abby grunted, gritting her teeth and pushing back against the Shadow Carnivine with all her strength, using all of the Deathrage tenacity she could muster. "Let you hurt him!"

Despite Abby's stubbornness, she was no match for the Shadow Pokemon, but before Carnivine could knock her out of the way, her Combusken Blaze Kicked the Carnivine away from her trainer. "NO!" Abby insisted, focusing her strength on pushing Angela back instead. "You'll just get infected!" Angela refused to back off, however, not wanting her trainer to get killed.

Meanwhile, my Pokemon were on their last legs, and the horde wasn't anywhere near close to getting thinned out. No matter how many attacks they belted into the crowd, it never shrunk. I'd have to think of a backup plan and fast. That's when I noticed the light that the top of Realgam Tower was giving off. I had to hope that Keiko was alright in there, but that thought was put aside when I saw a Shadow Carnivine that didn't look like it had much energy left use some kind of corrupted attack at Absinthe's Combusken. Worried for her, and knowing none of her other Pokemon had any strength left, I held my hands together and tried to conjure a Psion Edge in the opposite direction, from the bottom of my clenched hand. Once that was done, I threw it as hard as I could at the infected Grass-type, and was fortunate to knock it out with that attack. Despite that, though, it looked like I wasn't in time to prevent Abby's Combusken from getting infected. As a result, Abby had to recall her and focus her attention on Lykas - wait, when did he get injured?
PostPosted: Sat Sep 21, 2019 12:20 pm
As Abby fought to save her brother's life, Wren could only sit and watch, fighting back tears. His Grass-types weren't strong enough to fight off one of their own and the young girl's Fire-type seemed to be getting overpowered by the Shadow Pokemon. At least, it seemed like it at first. But after a few more attacks, during which Carnivine seemed to be taking even longer to produce counterattacks to, Angela seemed to have won, thanks in part to Terashi at the last moment.

Carnivine wasn't retracting it's roots, though. After a long, long moment, a Pokeball cracked open on Lykas' belt and his only Pokemon who hadn't made an appearance yet did so. Genevieve arrived to the battlefield with a gurgling exclamation and began to spin a Spider Web about Carnivine before using Leech Life through it. Feasting upon the final remnants of the Grass-type's life, he was able to rip the deceased plant from his trainer's body at last before offering Abby a strangely affectionate spidery nuzzle, as well as Wren. He'd known he couldn't take that fight on from the moment it started. At least, he couldn't without risking infection. The others had weakened it enough that he could finish the job safely.

"Listen here, you quarter-dead walking watering can!" GRAY's voice chirped from Lykas' SNAG, causing the hybrid to stir slightly. "While you were lounging and watering the plants, the rest of you lot have actually been trying to survive. So, if you're done relaxing, get off your butt and make the biggest Rain Dance you can. Tristen is going to need it for our last-ditch attempt at making it through this."

Lykas groaned and stood up, looking quite like a raisin at the moment, and dropped the remaining five of his Pokeballs at his feet. As his full team appeared, he spoke weakly. "All of you… Work together to use Rain Dance. Make it as big as possible." He was barely audible as he spoke but his team was able to put the pieces together and followed one another's lead. Before long, a stormy sky covered the entirety of the island, rain pouring down over everything in sight. The longer his Pokemon added to the rain, the harder it fell. Now might be a good time for someone to whip up a Hurricane, too?

~~~~
Odd had had it. There was very little he could still manage to contribute. Baroque was occupied keeping Beau safe, Celesta had burned practically all of her energy using that untrained Z-Move and Dissonance was running out of steam after battling closer to the tower. There was no way Glissando could match power with any of these monsters and he refused to risk Cadenza against them. The Shedinja would 't survive an infection, he was afraid. That left only Remix and he was currently the second least experienced of his Pokemon in battles.
The Channeler stepped backward, walking away from the horde slowly but surely, until he was standing near Wren, Lykas and Abby, preparing to accept death as gracefully as possible. As he looked around at the encroaching army of the infected, he shook his head. "I never thought it would end quite like this."
As those words left his mouth, he looked up, toward the top of the tower. A bright light was coming from inside and shining out over the darkening skyline. Something about it felt ominous. As the horde closed in still more, he saw thick layers of blue and green energy going up around as many Snagems as possible and he was Wren, his dreadlocks freed from the hair wrap he normally wore and a look of wild desperation on his face as every Pokemon he had that was capable of such a feat, used some form of protective shield around them. It wouldn't hold forever. They all knew it. But it would take that much longer for the enemy to reach them if they had to fight through the Shields first.
Slowly, Wren's Pokemon began to fall, burning the last of their energy to maintain the Shields as long as possible. As the last fell, all three hoped they had done enough to give the other Snagems atop the tower the time they needed to put an end to Ein's machinations.
Abby immediately went to her Combusken's side after she saw Shadow Carnivine get knocked out. Unfortunately, Angela did get infected. Enraged by this, Abby recalled Angela and turned to focus on Lykas. While Abby was hugging her older brother and making sure he was well and truly okay, I recalled all my Pokemon except Rala and let Samurai out, telling him of GRAY's plan. As a result, he joined Lykas's Pokemon and added his energy to the building thunderstorm created by many Rain Dances.
After the other Snags helped Leon get out of his sticky situation. He was able to rejoin with the rest of his Pokemon. He got off of Pyroar as he stumbled slightly but Ivysaur keep his balance with his vines. "Thank you. I'll be fine for now. Let's just-" Before he could finish his sentence, he felt something wrong as he quickly took out his kunais as he suddenly felt an impact against him as the Koffing from before tried to bash through him once again with Shadow Blitz. Leon struggled to push him back until Roserade punched it off with Poison Jab. It backed off as the Poison Trainer stared at the Shadow Pokemon with disgust. "He's just using the same move over and over...Don't let it get close to you. Attack it from a distance." Roserade nodded as she then used Magical Leaf.
The leaves started to swarm around the Koffing, as it didn't care that it was being surrounded and being attacked. All it knew, was that he wanted to kill Leon and his team. The Koffing charged the the leaves as it went to attack Roserade. Roserade dodged the first but Koffing acted faster as it hit her side. Then, just like a pinball; he bounced off of Roserade to hit Pyroar. Pyroar to Golbat. Golbat to Ivysaur. Then soon, Ivysaur to Leon. Leon saw this coming as he blocked the Koffings attack with his kunai once again. This time Koffing was pushing forward even harder as it looked like soon enough he was going to go into Hyper Mode. Leon looked at his Pokemon as a good portion of them was hurt severely. "E-Enough of this!" He shouted as he hit the Koffing with the blunt end of his kunai, swinging it downward as it left a crater in the ground in front of Leon's feet. "Roserade Sweet Scent! Ivysaur Grass Whistle!" He shouted as the Koffing was struggling out of the hole.
Roserade and Ivysaur quickly got to their feet and started to use their move. They were just a second to late as the Koffing broke out and was now in Hyper Mode and slammed himself into Leon's stomach. Leon gasped for air as he grabbed onto the Koffing for dear life to it would stop moving. He looked at Ivysaur and Roserade as they were stunned. "Don't just stand there! Do it now!" He shouted as his Pokemon did it once again. Koffing started to slow down as the two moves started to effect him. Thats when Leon took out a Pokeball and slammed it onto Koffing as he was then absorbed into the Pokeball. The Pokeball shuffled around but then finally clicked. With that, Leon sighed of relief as he looked as his stomach area. It looked like he had some open wounds as he tried to stand up but the open wounds started to bleed. Roserade ran over to him quickly as she starred at his wounds. She tried to push him back down but he refused. "We got to keep our stand....Ulla is still fighting. We still have to as well."
Leon finally stood up as he looked at all of his Pokemon as they were exhausted. Not just from that Koffing but from everything they had to hold off on. He returned all of his Pokemon as he noticed one of them was infected with the Shadow Virus. It was Roserade. His trusted partner. He bit his lower lip as Roserade kept a smile on her face while her trainer wanted to break down. "I'm so sorry...I should've been more careful..." He said as he noticed a light coming off of her as both of them looked at the Tower to see that beam of light. "...That's not Ulla. Is it?"
The horde of infected Shadow Pokemon continued to come without end in sight, their tenacity without limit. With no escape and no victory in sight the prospect of victory, let alone buying anymore time, was beyond reason for the Snagems here as they fought to their last breath. Ein had turned this desert into a literal hell with his demons crawling about. As the fighting raged on and the unfortunate end appeared inevitable a few drops of rain began to fall from the sky and onto the desert's sands. A few drops would quickly turn into a torrential downpour as thunder boomed through out the desert, even the seemingly mindless Shadow Pokemon taking a moment to acknowledge the sudden storm.
As thunder clapped and bolts of lightning flashed in the rapidly approaching night sky Tristen and Zwei would be unbothered by any further hindrances, Shadow Pokemon or otherwise. The path to the Zapdos Heart at the far end of this half of the S.S. Anne II was relatively clear except for a few chunks of debris here and there. The young boys would find the massive Thunder Stone dislodged from the machinery that once held it, unceremoniously cast to a corner of the room where it had put a dig dent in the metal wall upon its impact, though the Heart its self was unscathed.
It was here that Tristen could truly appreciate its power, here in the darkness away from the hellish chaos outside, the sound of thunder the only sound he can register at this moment. Every hair on his body stood at end, static electricity heavily built up in the air as if the Heart its self was anticipating Tristen's next action. Perhaps before he didn't feel it when Rhyme was commanding its power but now he could truly feel the raw power this beautiful piece of gemstone contained, neigh comparable to that of legends, and he was suppose to draw upon it. Terrifying and yet awe inspiring. Gut wrenching and yet exciting. It was now or never, the stage was set for Tristen to bring down the wrath of the Heart upon those who have forgotten theirs.
