It was the night to visit the Moonpool, and Honeyfur knew there was still tension between Lightningclan and Riverclan due to the incident with the kitten. he often wondered what happened, but that was RIverclan's to deal with now. Honeyfur himself was caught up with watching some infamous members of the battle, Silverstreak in particular.
As he made his way to the clans' borders, the medicine cat smelled out Cardinalpaw and Bumblepaw. He stopped in his tracks. No Stonebelly? He frowned, but still approached the two apprentices. It was weird to be this close to them, he was there when they were merely kits.
His eyes wandered. Cardinalpaw, looking healthy as ever. But Bumblepaw? His pelt bristled a bit, seeing that the tom was wearing a skull?! And was that... a fox's pelt on him as well?
"Ca..Cardinalpaw." he muttered out, unable to keep his eyes of Bumblepaw. "And Bumblepaw.. Will Stonebelly be joining us later?" He didn't know how to feel without Stonebelly around. It felt weird, even though they were medicine cat apprentices, it was as if he was going be get ambushed without the familiar gray and white patched tom.

Staring over the border, Cardinalwhisper looked back to her brother when he nosed her. She purred to him, smiling with whiskers upturned. That skull once took time to get used to now seemed as natural a part of him as his own pelt. Would be great to scare little kits, except for Foxkit. That poor sick thing has been through too much already.
Looking back across the river, the red apprentice wondered if there was a cure to the cough over there. She was already trying Tansy as Forgottentrail had taught her. Stonebelly worked so hard, she just wanted to help and to save their adopted sibling.
Glancing back at the touch form her brother she shook her head 'no'. They were told where to go but now how long it would take. She had the foolish idea that Honeyfur was lost and they should go help. Only, as she puzzled it out the idea became more and more silly.
Medcat in question appeared shortly thereafter, much to her relief. Purring in greeting, she made the muzzle movements for a greeting with no sound.
He called them by the wrong name. Recoiling her head a bit she shook it side to side then gently put her paw on her brother's left. She couldn't say no, but he could! There wasn't a way to tell him their names, unfortunately but at least they could let him know Stonebelly wasn't coming. Putting her paw up to her chest she then moved it over to her brother before shaking her head again. Just them.

For a few moments, Bumblebreeze felt distracted enough by his sister that he could relax a bit. That was until Honeyfur arrived and bristled a bit at seeing him. Bumblebreeze stood confused, eyes wide as he watched the other med cat whose gaze never seemed to break from him.
Blinking, Bumblebreeze glanced around at first before the paw to the side from Cardinalwhisper brought him back to reality. Watching her shake her head no and gesture to just the two of them, he had a guess what the other was asking. “No Stonebewwy, just us. He needed at camp.” He said, glancing nervously at his paws. “Not....enemy.” He struggled to say, not sure if it even made sense for how it felt coming out. He wasn’t going to hurt the other cat, even if the staring was uncomfortable.
Still, he took a breath, trying to steady his own paws. He had a task to do, as assigned via Shadowstar.

Honeyfur's stare at Bumblepaw was broken when Cardinalpaw started to move. He was a bit confused when Cardinalpaw shook her head. Did he mistake them for another cat? He watched as she put her paw on her brother's. So it would just be the three of them. No Stonebelly today. He hoped all was well with the medicine cat.
And then Bumblepaw spoke, confirming that Stonebelly was not coming, and that he was busy. Honeyfur gave out a sigh, before giving a smile to the Riverclan cats. "Alright, I'll follow you two to the Moonpool," he suggested. Even with Bumblepaw's words of how they were not going to attack him, he didn't want to seem to assert dominance, especially in their territory.
Honeyfur pointed his nose, wanting to hint to them that he was ready to go, even though he just barely arrived.

Pressed against her brother, Cardinalwhisper purred and nuzzled his shoulder. His answer sounded perfect to her. The idea of being here without him to speak for her felt impossible. Here, even Honeyfur understood enough.
She still had no idea how to correct him on their names. Maybe it wasn't that important, he was mostly right and they both knew what he meant. One day, maybe even at the end of this mission, he'd learn.
Speaking of, his suggestion pulled her out of starting up a bird. Ah, right. Making the turn first, turning against her brother rather than away. Now facing the right direction, she made two steps forward. In the act of starting the journey, Cardinalwhisper did not break contact with him or pause her purring.
