Snow hunkered down and his ears flicked as he listened for any movement. There was a faint rustle. His ears pitched forward and he moved to listen to pinpoint what it could be.

Up in the tree above DarkSnow a creature stepped out onto the snow covered branches.

Smokestream was fixing to stalk towards the first sound she heard when another hit her ears. Sitting perfectly still the she-cat flicked her ears around trying to pinpoint the sound.

Marble stalked towards the sounds as quietly as he could and, as soon as he was a mouselenght away, he pounced.

(Spd is 14 so +2 mod on catching the prey)

Snow froze blinking. Above him was a bird of prey. Taking everything into consideration, Darksnow weighed his options. He could sneak off and leave the bird alone. But food is scarce. Steeling his nerve he stalked forward and made his way up the tree.

SmokeStream noticed what the sound was she heard and she wanted no part of the hawk that was most likely in the tree above her. Deciding to try and sneak away she decided to go find where DarkSnow was. Edit: Carefully she made her way over to Darksnow.

Marblestream looked up from his prey in time to hear the screeching in a nearby tree where a large hawk was flying around and trying to strike at something in the branches. It took him a moment to realize that something was the little runty male Darksnow. Without thinking, instinct kicked in and he tore across the bridge and up the tree. He got in position and lunged at the bird, claws outstretched.

Edit: The hawk pulls back just in time and Marblestream flails through the air as he tumbles to the ground, slamming pretty hard and knocking the wind from his large frame. He groaned and attempted to climb to his feet before falling back into a heap.

(Spd is 14 so +2 mod on catching the bird and dragging it to the ground for a fair fight)

Snow gasped at the sight of Marble falling then growled at the bird, "That's it!" He poised to attack the large bird.

Launching forward with out stretched claws Darksnow grasped at the bird. He may have just met Marble, but he wasn't going to let the other male get hurt because of him

SmokeStream watched the two males pin a hawk, she hissed at the bird swiping her claws at it.
Edit: Her claws slice open the hawk's neck and it stops moving after a screeching death cry. Two other hawks fly away not wanting to end up getting killed by these cats.

Marblestream pulled himself to his feet and hobbled over. "Well, that didn't go according to plan but we got a mouse and a hawk which will feed plenty. Plus, that's one less hawk to terrorize the queens or their kits." he figured. He then looked Darksnow over. "Are you okay? He didn't get you did he?"

Darksnow shook his head, "I'm ok. What about you though?" He was concerned for the other male. "That was a long fall. "

Smokestream looked both of the males over and lightly started grooming each one while they asked each other if they were okay. She was worried as well, but no need to voice the same questions more then once she thought.

"I'm sore and may be limping for a bit but I'll heal over time." Marblestream assured them. "Just glad I didn't get either of you killed and, we get to bring back lots of freshkill to feed the clan and our own bellies."

DarkSnow nuzzled both of them. "Let's head back to the clan. I don't want to risk you getting hurt more."

"I'm good with the idea of returning to the clan as well. Least for awhile so we can heal, and rest, but I had a blast hunting with you both!" Smokestream purred happily.
