The last date was awfully strange to him, the app set him up with someone that was way too young for him. After promptly stating that to the girl, he simply left. But yet here he was again, back at the bowling alley. And with the same match as the first date no less! Which he didn’t mind, their first date had gone pretty well.
He decided on an outfit which he would later realize is a close match to Emilio’s. His outfit was a black and white striped shirt with a black denim jacket, black skinny jeans and a casual pair of sneakers- with his usual accessories adorning his ears. Prior to learning about that Emi shared his love for sweets, Jae-Seong decided to bring some Korean candy for him to try out. He got his friend’s text saying that he was waiting at the location and promptly paced his way over.
As soon as he saw the brunette, he waved to him.
”Hello! Did you wait long?” he actually signed the message to Emilio. After their first date, Jae tried to look up a few ASL greetings and phrases online. And he had secretly been practicing in front of the mirror before today’s date to make sure he got it done correctly. After he greeted Emi, he handed the Korean candy over to him,
”Here, this is for you! It’s a plum candy that is popular from where I was born.” He would hope that Emilio liked the hard candy, but if not he wouldn’t be offended.

He was glad that Emilio spoke as well as signed, since Jae-Seong was still in the beginning stages of learning ASL. He didn’t quite know every word or combination of alphabet. At the sign of his glittering eyes, Jae smiled happily to see that Emi would enjoy the candy. He glanced down at the book and keychain that Emi was giving him.
”No, I definitely still need it, thanks!”he tried saying and signing at the same time, probably messing up on a word or two. He took the items from his companion with a smile. Jae wasn’t quite sure how to feel about the keychain, he had mixed feelings about his own quirk. But he chuckled and thanked Emi for the gifts.
Jae-Seong let Emilio lead him into the facility that he happened to be visiting for a second time.
”I have, but not in a while,” he spoke to him. It was true that the last date he had was here at the bowling alley, but he had left before any activity was done. So perhaps this time he could actually enjoy himself?
”You’ve never bowled before? You’ll be in for a fun first time then!” Jae took the lead now and went to the counter to request for the required shoes, making sure to get the right sizes for them both.
