Foxcry didn't quite know what to do about the sudden influx of random black kittens. The ones from Wildflower and Shadowstar were expected and normal, but the parade of little kits found at the border and herded into the Clan... That was the opposite of normal.
She kept an ear open for any news of them. They were a peculiarity and she was mildly curious. It would appear that while they smelled the same and were definitely siblings to one another, they didn't have a mother (or any sort of parents) in the slightest. She could relate, having no mother that she associated with since the passing of her vixen mother.
So, occasionally she would linger around the Nursery. Today, she'd brought a scrawny finch with her. She was plucking its feathers off and looking down at it in distaste when it was revealed to be nearly feathers, beak and bones. She ate what little there was of it, before burying it in the deep snow, but the tiny feathers remained.
"How tedious." She huffed at them, watching them flutter with her breath.

 Ebonykit had been a struggle to initiate into clan life, being so young and confused about almost anything. He was constantly wobbling on his paws and, despite his age, still found trouble walking and talking. A slow learner, that's for sure. Even more so, he refused to call any of the cats family just yet, seeing them more as a food source for him and what siblings had come with. This wasn't out of distaste for any of the cats, but more a lack of understanding for family values, being unable to comprehend it. These kittens were pretty much abandoned, so I suppose it's not much a surprise at least one of them doesn't immediately trust new cats.
He grew interested in a young warrior who would occasionally come near the nursery with food, watching her from afar. Today, the young tom-kit finally wound up the courage to approach her, she did look rather harmless, feathers stuck to her muzzle and all. He awkwardly waddled away from other cats in the nursery, feeling no inclination to stay with them at all, they provided zero feeling of comfort or safety to him. They were simply cats. He was much more interested in meeting cats that caught his eye.
"H... he.. heeo!" He meowed in an attempt to greet the cat as he unsteadily approached, it was meant to be hello, but it probbaly sounded more like a strange meow mixed with confusion. He couldn't even understand himself, honestly, and the constant wobbling and shaking he did didn't make his words any more comprehensible.

Whatever Foxcry had been expecting out of her day, it wasn't that one of the black kittens would come toddling over to her. At the sound of its mew, she watched it wobble over to her, a little weary of it. What if she hurt it? What if she spoke too loud? She glanced behind it, waiting to see Wildflower or Shadowstar near to scoop him back into the Nursery.
But they weren't there, or rather, it was more likely they were inside for they certainly weren't out. So, she returned her gaze to the little tomkit.
"Hello." She greeted the kitten. "What can I do for you?" She asked, but wondered if that was too complicated a question for a kit. She frowned a little, but then hazarded a smile as she brushed some of the small feathers close to the kitten. "Did you come here for these? You can have some, feathers, that is, if you want." She offered.
