This is it, this is what she lived for. There was no feeling like getting to fight with something truly equal to yourself. At least she hoped that was the case because she certainly had plenty more to give. Whatever words of peace that Selina had uttered in that moment were wholly ignored. Feeling the presence of something her sensory field pulled Lahlil's refocused Lahlil's attention and her and Caine set to work. The stone gargoyle himself started off by merging into the stone, a small pile of rocks left behind him as he did so, and dove beneath the ground to begin morphing it's shape around Lahlil. The end result? A tunnel of earth forming around the flying bat creature and Lahlil herself. It's walls being sixty five feet apart and ten feet thick. In the midst of this the Hokage's own body forcefully exuded an aura of sickly white chakra about her body, her battle trance. If there were any hope of reasoning out peace it would be long gone as the kage gave in to her more violent tendencies. From her fist launched three massive blasts of wind, not created from any sort of chakra, but from the simple force of her punch. Such was it's power that assuming the bat creature remained in the cycloid he would face being trapped and flattened.
Meanwhile it was Celeste who choose to deal with the dragon itself. Breaking just enough away from the group so as to not get caught in the tunnel itself, the bat woman drew th earth around her as well. orbs of earth rose from the ground only to break apart moments later into hundreds of small pellets of rock. The wide area of attack should hopefully prevent it from making full use of it's flight abilities. If nothing else the beast should be put on the defensive while the others continue on targeting down the assumedly weaker of the two.

Regardless of her lack of sensory skills Clems natural senses were comparable to a machines, Within the chaos of the hokages fight with the deer along with that pink haired arashi girl. From the corner of her eye the bright orange light of flames rushing towards her, avoiding such an attack was rather simple. By simply taking one step back and applying a decent amount of force sending her body flying back at top speeds, with the effects of her armors cloud walker jutsu Clems body hovered over the ground as she flew back and away from the flame blast. only those with similar reflexs to her speeds could follow Clems movements. Had she avoided the snake and lion Clem would have traveled 30 feet back in a instant, flipping around so her feet would slamming into a near by tree abruptly stopping her body and yet the tree took little to no damage despite how heavy her armor should of been.
So much was happening at once while she avoided the attack the faint mentionings of trying to appeal to these creatures and her bosses continued to attack these creatures told clem only one thing, She had several options help the hokage, help the weird pair and the creatures or take this time and run away... option three was tempting but she remembered two important facts one and the most important thing was she had not been payed and two these creatures had really pissed her off. She had little to no sympathy for humans so why would she have any more for a bunch of weird creatures who she now believes are just a bunch of walking beef jerky.
Not sure who to attack or what to actually do against these creatures Clem would float back down to the ground trom the side of the tree she landed on, Taking a moment Clem took out a small scroll from a pouch hidden in the lion cloth wrapped around her armor summoning her senbon revolver. with it loaded Clem quickly took aim at the pink haired girl. Clem did this based off how she spoke about the creatures being protective over those two, had her guess been right she could make use of these creatures feelings in order to get a few free shots in. Lining up her shot Clem would fire several explosive metal spikes towards the pink haired girls thighs. had they hit the bullets would have embedded themselves deep into her flesh close to the bone. however had the creatures did what clem had wanted then she would have the chance to take one of these creatures out.meanwhile Clems clone had finished digging deep trenches and placing the last of her traps. unlike the main body the clone had been keeping low waiting for the perfect time to strike

Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.

She wanted to stop them and continue her mission, but then Kenshin appeared. Selina was surprised not only be Kenshin's arrival, but the sudden manifestation of some of her closest friends. Both Ada and Kojiro were with him, as well as a boy whom she didn't know. However, before she could wrestle with surprise for long, Kenshin spoke. So much of what he said made little sense of her. And before she could even raise a question he was already saying that the Arashikage shortened her mission because of the alleged threat on her life. "Wait wait wait. You talked to the Arashikage?" Selina said in avid disbelief. When Toso took over and installed a more isolationist mentality from the previous kage, Kenshin was greatly disappointed. He even stepped down from a position of great duty, which was something Selina never imagined he was capable of. To not only speak to Toso, but also demand that he release Selina from one of the most important missions of ninja kind, meant that whatever this threat was had to be serious. However, she still felt a little lost. "Kenshin, I appreciate the concern, and I thank you for rushing to my aid. But we're not anywhere near Arashigakure right now. Are you absolutely sure that the threat was aimed at me?" She said softly, as to not insult him. After all, Selina did not want to trivialize at all the amount of work and devotion he put into this to rally the forces and make sure that she was safe. However, she knew if she asked for specific details, then Kenshin would have no problem laying down the exact evidence which pointed to her being the next target for whatever was going on at home.

In addition to it's previous effects, the Kaiser armor now causes searing burns upon contact that blister due to the crackling chakra. Additionally, the user's strength and speed are increased mildly per rank of the armor instead of it's original slight. __ Ada fell behind Kenshin's lead, letting the discussions of earlier rest, and she focused on completing their assignment. The Lands of Fire was a vibrant as she remembered, but there was this strange feeling that had been very very subtly growing. It was a reassuring unease coming from the very environment itself. It was easier to ignore while they were engaged in conversation. Vala remained close at her side while Yarugi hung back near Zeshin still. 'Thank goodness. She seems to be doing well.' Ada smiled gently in Selina's direction when they approached but said nothing for now. Selina's reaction to Kenshin's debriefing caused a new concern- perhaps it could even be considered a rooting fear. Before Kenshin could reply to Selina, Ada held her hand out closely to her person with small, flat circular device set in her palm. She stepped away toward a nearby tree. Vala detected urgency in her mentor's pace, but felt it best not to intrude. She and Yarugi both knew they would get orders as soon as there were orders to give.
With a bit of chakra channeled into the seal at its center, an miniature Astral Projection of X appeared. "Ma'am?" X promptly offered a salute toward a similar image of her on his end. "X, increase some of your attention toward security feeds for Arashigakure. We've loacated Miss Rosewater unharmed in the Land of Fire." There was a moment of confusion toward the context of Ada's words, "That is wonderful news, but why-" Ada interjected, "I have a feeling that Antioch may have used us as distractions from an ulterior objective. I hope that I am wrong. Also, please update the Arashikage with our situation. Time is of the essence, but be extra alert. We will return shortly and I'll meet with you for your report." With a nod from Ada, X lowered his salute, "Acknowleged, ma'am. You can count on me." The transmission ended with the astral projection vanishing. She dismissed the device and returned to the others. "Captain." Ada gave Kenshin a very pristine salute and suggested, "We can discuss these details when we have completely secured our objective. We should not risk lingering in foreign lands for longer than necessary. I can return us to Arashigakure as soon as we are ready." She lowered her salute and awaited an order. It wasn't that she didn't want to catch up with Selina, who she'd heard was doing great things for foreign relations. Ada just very much disliked realizing all too late that she might be far more vulnerable than she previously believed. The mere thought of using the lives of two individuals who were closely connected to the APD Captain was a diabolical possibility that she wasn't prepared to counter without risk of casualties.
The group wandered into a new area and was met face to face with a young pink haired girl. He didn't really know who it was until the captain started speaking. Once he confirmed who she was the group began to talk. Zeshin, however, would remain silent as there was nothing to add to the situation. His eyes just moved around the area looking it over. He would stay near Yarugi and Vala until ordered to do otherwise.

The sound of hooves would follow in closely behind the group, as two mares carried Wulfram and his charge, the Emperor's Ward, one Himawari Yuki, from the roads where the Emperor and his Guard had set out to meet these Lightning Travelers. Before something befell the summon lands that called the Emperor away. A man dressed in western regalia, bearing the Fire Empire Insignia upon his right shoulder and the Coordination of Guard Captain beneath it, looked forward to the congregation. His head tilted beneath his hat and he motioned for his horse to slow pace, reigning in Himawari's horse with him.
Wulfram turned from Himawari to the travelers and spoke with a collected, but foreign accent. His voice rough, baritone, and his pronunciations smooth, though occasionally his pronunciations of words was outside of the local standard, they felt at home with his accent.
"Masahiro... The Emperor of Flame told me that we had guests, I expected a few scouts, or traders come to seek out supplies for whatever you've got hiding behind that large stormcloud. But seeing as you're traveling with the famous Kenshin Kosei, I'm going to assume you're a delegation of Arashigakure Shinobi." The Knight spoke as he hopped down from his horse and took a step in their direction.
"I do so love good, law-abiding company." The man intoned, still unsure of their purpose here.

The ride was mostly quiet. Mostly. "Ooh, so I haven't been this far out! Look at all these wildflowers! See the yellow ones over there?" She pointed out, even though she knew in the back of her head that Wulfram could care less. But she wasn't going to stop talking. "They are made for nausea! And if you grind them up and make them into paste they have other uses! Such as quick healing for the scabs!" She would continue on until the horse in front of her nickers. "Awww. Sweet gal!" She said as she cooed and patted the side of the horse's neck while giving scratches. It was then, she saw the group of people.
Right! Right! It was time to behave! Wearing her kimono that was slightly dirty on the bottom as if she had been traveling through dirt and grass for some amount of time. Her katana was sheathed and her golden sun hair was down with a red bow on top. Wulfram started to speak, explaining that Masahiro had to go away and frowned as he didn't introduce himself! "Mr. Wulfram! You forgot to introduce yourself! WWWAAAA!" Himawari yelped as she was trying to get down on one side but the stirrups were too long for her and it got caught in her ankle, causing her to fall side ways on the ground and accidently kicking the horse in the side. The sweet mare's ears were back as she was visibly annoyed but did nothing. "Oof..." She mumbled as she wiggled her ankle free and shot right back up, her hands on her hip and face as well her front was now covered in grass stains and dirt. "I'm okay!" She said with a cheery smile, "I'm Himawari!"

The group would arrive to find that Selina was entirely untouched. He examined the area, not finding anything out of the ordinary. He felt a sense of relief wash over him at Selina's safety. He looked to Selina as she questioned the threat. "The threat is very much real, distance has no bearing on the situation and it is essential we keep you within our protection as long as this criminal is at large. " His eyes sharply stared at Selina as he tried to honestly convey the gravity of the situation. However, his ears would perk at the sound of Ada speaking into a communication device just to the side. Kojiro would approach, leaving Kenshin to move Selina along. He would overhear Ada's theory to send the group out of the village as a diversion tactic. He would make brief eye contact with her, only nodding as a sign of agreement as she closed the communication device to X.
Just as the group would be preparing to make their hasty exit with Ada's assistance, the sound of hooves would come into Kojiro's perception range. His emerald eyes narrowed as he examined the two figures that drew closer. Kojiro would take point, stepping forward to put slightly more distance between the group and the man who'd just arrived. He seemed curious of their intentions, probing at their group in hopes of drawing out Kenshin's presence. Furthermore, he had word from the Fire Emperor...a retain perhaps? With the pending danger back at the village, Kojiro would attempt to both satiate the man's curiosity and hasten their return home." I'm Lieutenant Kanzaki, Kojiro. We do hail from Arashigakure on some classified business regarding events within our borders. Just here to collect our ally and return home, no more." His gaze would turn to the girl who self identified as Himawari who had inadvertently introduced Wulfram. " Sir Wulfram, Miss Himiwari. Enjoy the rest of your day."

In the deflecting stance, the user can deflect a technique of their body rank or lower once every three posts for no activation, still requiring the stamina/chakra cost paid. • Move as Water | Rank A | Training Description: The user has dealt with so many situations being outnumbered that their ability to move in tight and confined spaces is greatly increased. Personal Attributes • Chidori Specialist | Grants [3] custom techniques to be used as variants of Chidori, these custom jutsu are considered a Chidori Variant. The user may also apply clan Augment techniques to Chidori, Chidori Variant and Raikiri Jutsu. In addition, the user's chidori techniques bypass all armor entirely. Raikiri is considered a Chidori Variant technique. Only techniques with the name [Chidori] or [Raikiri] are effected by this PA. • Hatake Fury | Bloodline and Raiton techniques have their chakra cost reduced by five per rank of the technique and gain an additional 4 Ninjutsu slots for raiton techniques. Also allows for one handed seals. {The Overwhelming Trait does not apply to anything above S} • Mystic Hero [ Bukijutsu ] | The user has become adept at blending their ninjutsu and bukijutsu. The user is able to cast ninjutsu from their weapon without the use of hand signs by simply pointing the tip or blade in the direction desired to launch the technique. This requires the same amount of time as the forming of hand signs to cast ninjutsu. They are also able to Korabo 1 ninjutsu and 1 bukijutsu at their body rank and below for a single activation every 3 posts. The user also gains an additional 3 ninjutsu slots each body rank. • Ninjutsu-Bukijutsu | Allows the user to gain +2 ninjutsu per rank. ▱▰▱Kenshin's frustration grew as it was fueled by the anxiety of being outside of his village while Antioch remained. "Affirmative." He said through clenched teeth in response to Selina's inquiry on him speaking with the Arashikage. He inhaled deeply to maintain his composure as Selina asked further questions. "He blew up very convincing dummies that looked like you and Ada and said as much. This was after he blew up two civilians into a million pieces before I released the rest of the hostages. The Arashikage and I are coordinating with APD and the ANBU to apprehend this powerful threat. Lieutenant Kanzaki is correct that while the threat remains in the village, so does our security force for your safety, Rosewater." The police captain spoke firmly despite Ada's interjection. It was his determination that Selina should be informed of the threat as soon as possible but he also agreed with Ada that they should not delay. As Ada spoke to X from Arashigakure, Kenshin raised his police radio to his lips and set the frequency to Arashigakure. It was much less high tech than Ada's communication to a nearly comedic degree. "Zeus reporting in. Keep the lockdown in effect and coordinate with Poseidon's shadows. Bolster security in the bay. Over." Zeus referred to Kenshin's codename designated by the first Arashikage, Poseidon referred to the current Arashikage, shadows were the ANBU, and the bay was the Aether Leyline. Despite the heavy static due to distance from the sky-bound village, he received a "copied" reply from his office in the CORE Compound. Kenshin found the codes silly but necessary all the same. His reporting in would not repeat what was already told to X and referred solely to the police force's administrative affairs. He stored his radio before returning the salute to Ada. "Thank you, lieutenant." His stress lowered knowing that Ada was equally concerned and also taking measures to reduce the Antioch threat. Before Kenshin could give the order for Ada to immediately transport them back to Arashigakure, a duo of equestrians would approach them. He bowed respectfully to Wulfram and Himawari and allowed Kojiro to speak first as the Arashikage's internal affairs official. The sannin was also somewhat unnerved by the instant recognition. He was well-known within his village which he had grown accustomed to but he did not leave the village enough to become fully accustomed to his global renown after helping defeat Kogarashi. "Yes, I am Captain Kenshin Kosei of the Arashigakure Police Department. Lieutenant Kanzaki is correct about our mission. Miss Rosewater here is the Arashikage's advisor of foreign affairs on a diplomatic mission. That's lieutenant Rio-Kyuri and Cadet Uchiha. We're here to retrieve her due to urgent security concerns internal to our village. Now that we've located her we won't be loitering in your lands any longer. We apologize for any confusion." The sage's tone was far from warm as he introduced his squadron and stated their intentions but was formal and polite as this was a diplomatic interaction. He was in a rush to return home to deal with the Antioch threat and was placed in an awkward position by their arrival. To Kenshin Wulfram and Himawari's trip seemed to be a wasted one due to the APD squad's urgent need to return to Arashigakure.

For example, if one spends 100 chakra on a gentle fist technique, the attack robs the target of 150 instead of the 125 normal clansmen would reduce. • Purest Lineage | The clansman's thoroughbred lineage allows them access to the Byakugan without the use of a hand seal, chakra cost, or activation. In addition, should they unlock the Tenseigan, they may have 50% less reserves to maintain it than other clan members and may also activate the Tenseigan without the use of a hand seal, chakra cost, or activation. • Physical Prowess | The Hyuuga gains a [2] point increase in any stat after mastering stage 3 of the gentle fist and another [2] points after mastering stage 6 for a total of [4] rather than [2]. This causes tiered paralysis on contact equal to the rank of the technique it is paired with. • Blessings of Valor | As a world-famous hero, you are forever bestowed with an extra reward in arc, timeskip, and guildwide events. • Short-Circuiting Juken | For an additional amount of chakra that is half of the amount spent for the original technique, Hatake chidori raiton can be applied to complex juken techniques to inject the enemy's body with lightning. The Hatake's chidori raiton inflicts a tier of full-body paralysis that is equivalent to the technique's rank up to the second tier. This paralysis lasts for two posts per rank of the technique at a maximum of six posts. Applying Chidori chakra to the Juken consumes a second offensive activation. • Storm Sage | Lightning techniques cast while in sage mode and when enhanced by nature chakra burn brighter and inflict a tier of blindness that is equivalent to the technique's rank. This blindness lasts for two posts per rank of the technique at a maximum of six posts. • Stern Spirit | Reiken no Michi virtue states cost one rank less in stamina to activate and maintain. The stamina cost of the virtue states cannot be reduced beyond this.
Nuibari Attributes • Infinite Needles | While Nuibari functions perfectly fine as a long, thin blade that sits between a Jian and a Foil. It's comprised of infinite, instantly replenishing needles. If an opponent is stabbed, the blade will leave several needles inside of the opponent. It also never runs out of string either, with one at the base of the weapon, and one attached to each needle. Similarly, unhindered, the weapon always comes back when thrown for the techniques below, and can be pulled to the user free of activation via its wire so long as the nigh-invisible string is not cut. • Thread the Needle | This skill increases the speed of the wielder moderately while Nuibari is wielded.
Discipline & Cross Class Attributes • Expert: Rapier | The user has achieved a sense of mastery and focus unlike others and are known as an Expert, a dedicated focus over a weapon they use to near perfection. The shinobi can pick a single weapon, or two if dual wielding, to apply this focus toward with examples such as Katana, Spear, Bows or even Dual Daggers. They acquire a Keystone technique that is unique to them with an additional 2 Custom Techniques derived of this special ability. Refer to the Keystone Guideline for more information. Limiting themselves to three of their class's styles, granting overwhelming in all three styles up to S Rank. It also has a rapier form that was refined from Purity and is entirely constructed from steel with a dark blue handle and basket hilt. The katana and rapier forms are the same size and constructed of the same materials. Getsuruito was considered a legendary artifact by the people of Seizan as it was wielded by an ancient general. When the rusted blade was awarded by the locals to Kenshin Kosei he discovered that it had the unique ability to merge with and empower one other weapon. When the katana was reworked to its fullest potential it had the abilities of his own weapon in addition to incredible lightning abilities. ▰ Ability Summary: Righteous Sword of the Sentinel [ Senchineru no Seigi no Ken ] | Rank E | Bloodline | Spiritual All forms of Hyuuga techniques including the gentle fist can be used through the sword for the 10 posts that this technique is active. This means that strikes involving the blade cause physical damage including stab wounds as well as seal tenketsu points and any other effects of the technique used through the sword. An additional 5 chakra can be applied to the blade to prevent it from causing physical damage from thrusting but instead seal tenketsu points and inflict pain similar to a stab wound in the area struck but slashing attacks can still cause damage. Half the resource cost of techniques from the rapier style of Sen Gekiretsu Nagareboshi applied allows the technique to carry the tenketsu sealing effects of a same-rank palm strike such as a B-Rank carrying 64 Palms effects. Getsuruito must be in its rapier form to use this ability and 5 chakra can be spent upon activation of this technique to transform it as such. The Righteous Sword of the Sentinel technique has a 10 post duration before necessitating re-activation and costs an E-Rank amount of chakra. The initial activation of this technique consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not.
Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.

__ Ada quietly waited for Kenshin to finish debriefing Selina anyway. She didn't mind that Kojiro chose to evesdrop on her conversation with X since he needed to know what might be going on as much as anyone else here. She intended to give her own word on the matter once they were back in Arashigakure. The sounds of a pair of approaching horses caused Yarugi and Vala to whorl about toward the rear into defensive stances, covering Zeshin first and foremost. Ada's attention also shifted to the rear of their group to witness an armor-clad gentleman and a young lady priestess vestments. Even from afar, she could make out the man's military decorum and came up with a new swash of concerns. She muttered under her breath, "This is what I was warning about..." It was like she cursed them to make something else happen today. Her hands wove a variety of seals which would be completed long before the horses neared for conversation. She'd keep her jutsu prepared for the order to be given to depart.
She was thankful that they weren't outright violent. In fact, they seemed pleasant, but still not worth the chance of an international incident. "Officers Vala and Yarugi, stand down and come here with the cadet, please." Kojiro and Kenshin seemed to be doing well enough to deflect the newly arriving company. Ada bowed her head respectfully when introduce and continued to wait for the signal. Once all of the Arashigakure shinobi were gathered nearby she'd look to Wulfram and Himawari and offer a sincere apology for the sake of not making Selina's job any harder in the foreseeable future, "We're very sorry to leave in such a hurry, but please be understanding." Kenshin, Kojiro, Zeshin, Selina, Vala, Yarugi, and herself were suddenly consumed in a dense plume of smoke as she summoned them en masse back to Arashigakure's CORE compound where they could properly address the matter of Antioch's rampaging.

Zeshin watched as everyone conversed with the pink haired girl that earlier had been called Selina. He listened to everyone and eventually two more people showed up in the area they were all in. Once they did, a young girl accidentally introduced them both and before anything else could even happen, they were summoned away from the location.

Now with a passport in her possession, Hikari would find the walk through the gates much easier than before. Once on the other side of the checkpoint, she would make her way over to the forest. Removing her manual of goods from her bag to begin gathering. While she did not work slowly, her pace was not so fast as to take a hit to her efficency. [1/2]
Pouring over dozens of plants, Hikari would refer back to her manual constantly, and take notes in her mind as to the location of the various herbs she was gathering. This would make it easier to locate other herbs of the same kind, was her thought. Once she had finished finding the first batch, she would bundle them up and start looking for the second. As Hikari continued to search for various medicinal plants, she would happen upon the man she had met before at the dojo. Occurring to her she had not exchanged proper greetings, she would make a mental note to do that later. Not involved with the business he was attending to howeveer, Hikari decided to keep her distance as she proceeded with her work. [1/2]
Eventually a second kit would be finished. She would wipe sweat from her brow, the proof of hard work well done. Her job was still far from over though. Picking herself up and dusting herself off, she made for a deeper part of the woods. [2/2] Gathering: Basic Complete
Finding another place to start searching, it was starting to become easier for her to know where to find the herbs she was tasked to gather. What once began as searching for plants turned into searching for landmarks. She had started to learn where her targets would lie without having to get as dirty looking for them. [1/2]
Her fingers covered in dirt, Hikari bound up another botany kit to be delivered to help build the Hospital. Noticing a stream nearby, she would move over to it the wash her hands and face. Once clean, she got up and started her rounds once more. [2/2] Gathering: Basic Complete
While the trees did little to shade Hikari from the sun, it was better than nothing. She found herself performing much better than had there been no leaves to provide the ample shade she had. By this point the job she was given seemed to get easier, especially with the abundance of plant life under the shade of the forest. [1/2]
Finishing her fourth bundle, Hikari stretched and bound it up like the others. Her technique was becoming much better, with the redundancy of the task. She had also found that the stream she washed up in had an abundance of various plants to pick from as well. [2/2] Gathering: Basic Complete
Finally on her last required bundle, Hikari started her search a little closer to the stream this time. With the plantlife she had found close to the water, she would find her search becoming much easier than before. All she did at this point was follow the stream, continuously gathering close to the water. [1/2]
Finishing the final required bundle, Hikari had a choice ahead of her. Should she turn in the minimum amount of botany kits required for her mission, or continue to gather for a surplus of supplies? Deciding that it was better to go above and beyond, Hikari started searching once again. [2/2] Gathering: Basic Complete
Continuing along the stream, Hikari started picking more herbs. Her hands moving in a practiced way now, she had developed some sort of technique in this short time. While she had some sort of practice where she had lived until recently, the experience was still slightly different. [1/2]
Bundling up her now sixth kit, she needed to decide when to stop. Hikari figured that an extra five botany kits should be enough to return with. Washing her hands once more, she readied herself for another run. [2/2] Gathering: Basic Complete
Drying her hands, Hikari proceeded with her task. While the plant life about the stream was plentiful, she was running out of stream. Eventually she would find herself at a cliff. Turning the other direction she returned to finding her quarry underneath the trees. [1/2]
While slightly annoyed she had run out of stream to work with, Hikari did not let it get to her. She continued her work despite her misfotunes and eventually finished gathering for another kit. Bundling it up she started on the next one. [2/2] Gathering: Basic Complete
It seemed like the job was all downhill at this point. Having gathered more than two thirds of the kits she wanted to bring back, Hikari seemed to gain a boost of adrenaline for the latter part of her task. The work had become tiring at this point, but she was almost out of the forest, metaphorically speaking. [1/2]
Her eighth kit located and picked, Hikari finally noticed that she was getting cuts and scrapes from the various plants her hands were constantly in contact with. Cleaning up her wounds with some basic medical ninjutsu, she made sure she was healed properly. Once comepletely recovered, she bound up the kit and started working on the ninth. Making her way back towards the city as she picked herbs, Hikari took a sort of roundabout path back. She didn't want to disturb the group she had encountered earlier, so her path seemed rather long. Still, this allowed for much more area to find the herbs she was gathering so much. [1/2]
Passing by the group from before, Hikari would finish gathering the kit. Bundling it up, she would see the edge of the forest, and the gate as well. Paying little attention to the guards still tending the gate, she put away the kit and started looking for the last one. [2/2] Gathering: Basic Complete
Sticking to the edge of the forest, Hikari would gather the last remaining botany kit. She did not want to lose her way so she would not stray far from the edge of the forest this time. She was eager to head back but she did not let that rush her. [1/2]
Finally finishing the final kit, she would bundle it up and head for the gate. On the way to the gate she would count her supply to make sure she had gathered the appropriate amount. Removing her passport she would make her way through the gate and towards the castle. [2/2] Gathering: Basic Complete

Golden light streamed through the canopy of the grove, droplets of sunbeams dotting between the trees among the floor of the forest. Among the trees, a small shrine of stone sat in a clearing, brilliantly lit by the warm sunlight. Shoshin normally didn't care for meditation much, but the Forest of Golden Lights was a seemingly mystical place, and it seemed to beckon him to stay every time he visited. Kneeling beore the shrine, he placed a single incense that had been clapped between his hands in the holder of the shrine, offering up a prayer to his Lord, the patron God of the Ketsueki clan - Jashin. Many people of the world had their opinions on the ancient deity naturally, but Shoshin had a more clear understanding of what it was that the God embodied. However, Shoshin hadn't come to the forest simply to pray and meditate. No, he had come to track and eliminate a traitor to the Leaf; an informant gone rogue after delivering false reports. Due to the nature of the information supplied, they could not be allowed to escape the country, by any means necessary. Shoshin had specifically chosen this place to set his ambush in part because of the Intel he had received claiming the rogue would likely travel through the entrancing forest to get out of the Land of Fire the quickest.
As a soft breeze began to roll across the grove, a faint rustling could be heard coming not too far from the edge of the treeline. Somebody was coming, but Shoshin didn't move an inch, remaining perfectly still in front of the shrine, eyes closed in what would appear to be prayer. The rustling grew louder, and louder, into footsteps that crunched twigs beneath them. They moved closer and closer, then suddenly stopped.
"Look what we have here... A monk!" A voice called from behind him. "What are you doing way out in this forest praying, monk?"
Shoshin, still sitting stoicly, opened his eyes but didn't turn to look at the man when he spoke. "Didn't anyone tell you that it's rude to interrupt someone while they're praying?"
Clearly offended, the stranger called back to Shoshin, anger in his voice. "Hey, hey! Who are you talking to? You better watch your mouth punk, I don't have a problem kicking the crap out of a monk!"
To this, Shoshin began to rise from his knees, reaching before him and gripping the handle of his sword. As he extended his legs, he brought up his sword and propped it on his shoulder, the massive blue blade shining brilliantly in the the sunlight.
"I wouldn't be so quick to assume that I am a mere monk." Shoshin said flatly as he slowly turned around. "You might regret it."
Visibly stunned, the man had taken a step back. "W-who the heck are you? You better not try anything, I'll tell the police!" The man sputtered, beads of sweat now on his brow.
"The police... That's funny, that's who I'm going to give you to back in the Leaf village." Shoshin said with a smirk.
"The Leaf village?! Never! I'm not going back there, they think I'm a criminal!" The man shouted in a panic.
"Either I bring you back, or you die. I'd prefer not to have a mess to clean up, so just come willingly. I'll only ask you once." Shoshin said, a gravel to his voice.
The man looked like he had seen a ghost; his face was pale and his eyes wide. He seemed frozen, like the world he was in had grinded to a halt. Shoshin stared him dead in the eyes, while the man's darted around begging for an escape. Breathing heavier and heavier, Shoshin could tell the man was about to run. His grip on his sword tightened. The man seemed to notice as his eyes flicked to Shoshin's hand, and started to twist his body to turn and run. Unfortunately, the man wasn't quick enough, not by a lot. The moment he tried to turn, Shoshin swung his blade forward at lightning speed, splitting the man in two, a fountain of blood sprung forth almost instantaneously, drenching the shrine and the trees around them. The two halves of the man's body fell to the ground with a thud, blood pooling around them.
Shoshin looked toward the shrine, and bowed his head. "I offer this soul to you, Lord Jashin." He said with a small now.
The brilliance of the forest still somehow shined through, even with the dark red blood costing the trees and grass. It was a gruesome scene to be sure, but the golden rays of light that came through the canopy made even that look beautiful, like a painting over one that had been finished. Shoshin slung his mighty blade over his shoulder and back in it's holster before crouching over the man's lifeless, halved body. He would have some cleaning to do here in the forest, but then it was time to bury the remains. Nobody was to know he existed.
