Cartwright(c) vs Marcus Damone

[Cartwright]

Cartwright is sent across the ring and back towards Marcus, who launches The Lad up high into the air in-front of him, watching him fall face-first as Cartwright's arm flail about in the air! It must have been a good seven to eight foot drop!

 

[Drako Damone]

Marcus isn't done yet as he goes to pull the champion up and whip him to the corner for a splash. If that goes as planned he'd pull him out for a sidewalk slam  

[Cartwright]

Cartwright is sent across the ring and into the corner back-first and stays there, but as he sees Marcus coming towards him, he looks to send Damone #3751280 into the middle turnbuckle with a low dropkick to his knees!

 

[Drako Damone]

Marcus charges only to be taken out at the knees, dropping to hit the middle turnbuckle, which basically ends up holding him up  

[Cartwright]

Phew, Cartwright dodged a bullet with that one. The Lad observes how the middle turnbuckle is keeping Marcus in place, so he looks to fix that by kicking the middle rope to spring into him!

 

[Drako Damone]

Marcus barely registers the kicked rope, realizing he needs to get up in order to switch momentum again. He reaches up, grabbing the top rope to force himself up again  

[Cartwright]

Hmph! Let's see if Marcus registers his nose being pressed against the top rope and dragged along it for a burn!

 

[Drako Damone]

Marcus probably would, if it would happen. Instead, he looks to pop Cartwright in the jaw with a reverse elbow  

[Cartwright]

Marcus has shown his toughness and now he shows his strength, as a swift back elbow staggers Cartwright towards the center of the ring before The Lad could have possibly caused irreparable damage to his opponents nose!

 

[Drako Damone]

Marcus turns, finally having some separation from the champ, but he doesn't intend to keep it that way. He moves forward to grab him by the throat, looking to put him away with a chokeslam  

[Cartwright]

It turns out that Marcus doesn't want any space, heading straight towards the champion and getting a grip around his throat. The crowd soon notices that three men are running towards the ring. Gary Guitar, The Blood Imbruer and the Jester Of Justice charge into the ring, looking to bully Marcus Damone down into the mat with their fists!

 

[Drako Damone]

Marcus doesn't have eyes in the back of his head, and he was singularly focused on taking out the world champion en route to Starrcade. Instead, he finds himself clocked in the back of the head first, then all over, bit by bit taking him down at least to a knee, and incidentally forcing him to release Cartwright. The referee calls for the bell, an obvious disqualification here as Marcus is left to fend for self  

[Cartwright]

The crowd boos loudly as the three men continue their attack on Marcus while Cartwright takes a breather, resting near the turnbuckle. After catching his breath, Cartwright asks for a microphone.

Cartwright: "Come on lads. Let's remind everyone, especially Ken Armand, of just how ferocious we can be."

Cartwright steps towards Marcus as The Blood Imbruer exits the ring to grab a steel chair. The possible career-ending assault on Salem Croft clearly wasn't enough!

Cartwright: "Nothing personal Marcus, even if you do belong to the most reviled wrestling family in the industry. This is just a matter of wrong place, wrong time."

The Blood Imbruer puts the chair around Marcus' head as Cartwright, Gary and Jester prepare to Superkick Marcus together!

 

[Ken Armand]

the crowd's boos are deafening as Cartwright seems poised to end the career of another man, and also jeopardize a huge match for Starrcade. Those boos, however, turn to cheers, as the number one contender emerges from backstage, dashing down to the ring. He slides in and quickly looks to clock Gary and Jester from behind with a double clothesline

that's not all the help Marcus will get tonight, as the Family looks out for it's own. Andre runs in from the crowd, however, and as Ken goes for Gary and Jester, Andre goes for the man himself, Cartwright, who he has a serious issue with. As he comes in the ring, he looks to clock the champion in the jaw with a right hand
